I first reached out to American Veterans Aid about a year before I finally moved forward with them
I first reached out to American Veterans Aid about a year before I finally moved forward with them. Regrettably, I had mentioned to a friend that I was planning on utilizing the help of the service, but she insisted the fee was a waste and that I could apply to VA myself without help. On her advice, I started the process but soon found the number of forms and information needed to be so daunting I gave up. I especially remembered the American Veterans Aid representative mentioning that incomplete forms or forms with incorrect information tend to delay the process and sometimes for a long period of time; I could easily see how that would happen when I started reviewing the information needed. We could have received about $15,000 over that year to provide needed assistance to my mom had I moved forward when I first contacted American Veterans Aid. It is so well worth the fee. The people at American Veterans Aid were highly professional and were very caring. I really appreciate the help they gave me throughout the process.
I worked with Ardee D*** and his Team (Supervisor is Joyce N***)
I worked with Ardee D and his Team (Supervisor is Joyce N). Ardee's Team worked with me every step of the way answering my questions right away and providing much needed direction on attaining all the necessary documents. They completed the forms using the information I sent to them, then sent them to me. I reviewed, signed and submitted to the VA. The charge of $2375 is minimal compared to what I have heard other attorneys charge. I sent to the VA via email and the funds were direct deposited into my Dad's account in 3 -1/2 weeks! The deposit was retro to the date the VA received the intent to file (which was submitted by AVA); so we received what we paid initially in the first deposit! I am so thrilled with everything American Veterans Aid has done to help with this extremely valuable benefit! My Dad is a very proud Korean War Veteran and we are so thankful for this wonderful benefit to help pay for his many needs at this time! Thank you again! Family of
American Veterans Aid were very helpful in obtaining benefits for my 92yr old Dad who has required in home care assistance with his daily needs. They made the whole application process very simple and helped us gather all the necessary documents needed. It seemed as if it could have been a very daunting task had they not been there to guide us through. It took only a couple months to be approved and for that we are so very grateful. I would highly recommend them to assist anyone looking to apply. I am so grateful to have found them.
This is an invaluable service! Such kind, professional, attentive and responsive group of people to work with. They really know what they are doing and are very knowledgable. I would have never been able to navigate the VA paperwork without their guidance and support. They were always available, returned calls or texts, super promptly and never made me feel like I was too needy. This is all this company does and they do it well! American Veterans Aid is on your side, they want you to receive the benefit that you or your loved one deserves. *** was my main point of contact and she is fantastic.
Excellent service and continuous follow up. Diligent and efficient. Always responded to my phone calls within an extreme reasonable time without having to be concerned if I will be called back or not. Directions on what to do, what to submit, and others were clearly, kindly and patiently explained step by step. All the time I felt that they were there to help me and support me in ensuring my mother be entitled to a well earned benefit. Their follow-up to keep me informed about the status of the application was precise. I am super grateful for having them taking the time helping me with my mother's application. Without them it was going to be difficult and time consuming.
The individual I worked with was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in getting my 92-year old mother-in-law her Veterans' Survivor benefit. She is now in assisted living and loves where she's at. This was only possible with the help of a dedicated team. In my opinion, the fee they charge to prepare all the necessary forms and filings was well worth it. Had I tried to do this on my own, I would not have had a clue where to start and I'm sure I wouldn't have completed all the forms correctly. My mother-in-law did not have the years it may have taken for me to have possibly succeeded in filing without professional assistance.
I was interviewed by someone from the organization to make sure that she was eligible for these benefits. Then forms were sent to me for signatures. Really, all I had to do was get them the required documentation. But I wasn't alone in even this step. I was immediately assigned a case manager, ARDEE DIAMANTE, who helped me with any and all questions I had. I was given her direct phone number and e-mail. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone looking at this very difficult process. After the forms were completed and submitted, it only took a few months for her to start receiving the aid. My mother-in-law is in an assisted living home that we definitely could not afford without this VA benefit. Everyone at the organization was helpful and kind. I would absolutely encourage anyone who is in this situation to give them a call.
I would give American Veterans Aid 10 stars if I could!
I would give American Veterans Aid 10 stars if I could! They exceeded my expectations in customer service and follow-through to help me with the overwhelming paperwork that needed to be completed to apply for VA benefits. How refreshing to work with an organization where people answered their phone! If I had to leave a message, they responded and returned my calls immediately and answered my many questions with energy and enthusiasm. I want to highly recommend Angela, who was my case manager and a pleasure to work with! She was always very helpful, courteous and friendly with a positive attitude and high energy. She is an excellent example of outstanding customer service! We were able to complete the paperwork in approximately 6 weeks and received our letter of approval from the VA within 7 weeks after applying. Everyone whom I talked to at American Veterans Aid were very knowledgeable and kind, and there was never any pressure or negativity. I would highly recommend using them to navigate through the VA paperwork.
I couldnt be happier with American Veterans Aid. They were very, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They were always available with answers to my questions and letting me know what to expect every step of the way. I highly recommend this service.
Dessa was great. We would have given up on the government paperwork without her. I should have started the process earlier, because once on Medicade the cost is no longer worth it.
I know we would not completed the process correctly with their help. Great follow up, they kept us on track via calls and emails. Responded all of our questions. Guided us in what we needed to fill out and made sure we sent it in! This is a time consuming process that allows you to take care of your loved one and they assist you step by step. Thanks to all that help us get the needed help.
Although my family was skeptical when we first discovered American Veterans Aid, we could not be more pleased with the entire company! Their attention to detail and their genuine desire to help us was evident throughout the entire process. We had tried numerous times to get this aid package on our own, only to be told numerous times that the program did not exist! We can assure everyone that, not only does it exist, but American Veterans Aid, and additionally, our case managers, Ardee Diamante and ***, were instrumental in securing our monthly payments. We could not be more grateful. We will be recommending this company to all others who find themselves in the same position and in need of additional funds to help our veterans get the help they need.
Without seeing the American Veterans Aid ad, we wouldn't have known that this "Aid and Attendance Benefit" even existed for WWII Vets
Without seeing the American Veterans Aid ad, we wouldn't have known that this "Aid and Attendance Benefit" even existed for WWII Vets. On behalf of my 94 year old veteran Dad Jim, we want to give a big THANKS! to all those wonderful people at the AVA! Especially our Case Manager Ardee Diamante, who was so helpful in explaining everything and answered my many emails so promptly. They sent a detailed instruction booklet and forms to fill out, they went over every page with us to insure we understood everything. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that wants a fast result, a painless task of filling out the application and collecting all the needed documents, making sure everything is in order before submitting anything to the VA. There were no delays, the VA didn't need any additional info from us and my Dad got his Aid and Attendance Benefit approved in 14 business days after submitting his application. I couldn't have done it without them! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! From Jim's daughters, Susan, Kathy and Cyndie on July 28
American Veterans Aid was very helpful for my family after our father passed, as my mother was not able to navigate the process. We are very grateful for their assistance. Everyone that contacted me was friendly and helpful, but I could not have done it all without my personal contact, ***. She was always available, by email or phone, and if she couldn't answer a question, she would research and get back to me. There were so many details, and so many documents to provide, that I could not have completed what was required of us without her. I am very grateful and thankful for all of your assistance!
Thank You to Dione and the entire staff at American Veterans Aid. The entire process was explained in a professional manner. An Instruction Pack was also provided to review to help aid in completing the application. All forms were provided and reviewed before submitting the application to ensure that the application would be approved. I am very satisfied with the service and have already recommended American Veterans Aid to other family members and friends.
A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH EVERYONE I WAS IN CONTACT WITH AT THE COMPANY. IT WAS STILL A LOT OF RESEARCH, ACCUMULATION OF DOCUMENTS AND PROPER COMPLETION OF ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK ON MY PART, BUT THE END RESULTS WERE FANTASTIC. THE GUIDANCE, PROFESSIONAL STEERING AND COMMUNICATIONS WITH ALL INVOLVED WERE VERY PLEASING AND COMFORTING. AFTER THE SUCCESS WITH MY ENDEAVOR, I RECOMMENDED THE COMPANY TO MY FRIEND WHO ALSO WORKED WITH YOU FOLKS TO ASSIST HER IN SECURING VA AID AND ATTENDANCE FOR HER MOTHER.
I don't think we could have completed this process without the assistance of the dedicated team. They walked us through each step. Always available and helpful. Did everything they said they would do. My dad is now receiving VA benefits thanks to their efforts. I highly recommend this team and have told others about them and their service.
If anyone has a claim to file, Americans Veterans Aid is definitely the only way to go
If anyone has a claim to file, Americans Veterans Aid is definitely the only way to go. Ardee Davenport and his staff were very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and responsive. When we started the process, my dad was ill and eventually passed away before it was completed. Ardee informed us that my mom was also eligible for caregiver service, so we switched the process and completed the paperwork for her caregiver service. Ardee ensured that ALL paperwork and documents were correct and submitted. We did not receive not ONE phone call from VA - that's how thorough and complete was our application. My mom not only receives monthly payments but also received one lump sum of retroactive payments from the date our application was received by VA. Because of this organization, my mom is able to continue her caregiver service without stress and financial difficulty. DO NOT submit an application without Americans Veterans Aid, if you want to receive assistance in a short time and without hassle. Thank you so very much! You are God Sent and a blessing to our family.
I am beyond grateful for this beautiful program, AND every single staff member
I am beyond grateful for this beautiful program, AND every single staff member. From start to finish every single person I dealt with was knowledgeable, accessible, and took the initiative to follow up. I was very impressed with the way this program is organized, each staff member had their own job description as I went through the process. To me this is a very effective way to provide this service, as each could thoroughly do their job description. I happened upon this program, in searching out VA benefits that could perhaps help with my mother's living expenses in a retirement facility, I stumbled upon American Veterans Aid. I had to do everything between two states. I was so very happy that my mother was an excellent record-keeper, so I did have all needed papers for this process. I do appreciate that this helped the process flow with ease. However, I'm confident I could never have been successful on my own. American Veterans Aid took the stress out of a very stressful time in pulling all our resources together to provide the best of care and surroundings for my mother. I have and will continue to recommend American Veterans Aid to all who can use this amazing resource.
My mother went into assisted living in late July this unusual year
My mother went into assisted living in late July this unusual year. We had never heard of the benefits available to war veteran's spouses until we had a chance visit with an old friend who had just been through this process with her mother. She had used American Veterans Aid and gave the organization very high marks. We contacted AVA and the response was prompt and very professional. Because of a spring and summer of downsizing Mom's belongings and files we were able to place our hands on all of the necessary paperwork and documents. From the time of our meeting with our case manager until all documents were sent and acknowledged only 4 days elapsed. We filed an intention to file document with the VA and when the application was filed right after Labor Day we received a response from the VA that the application would be fast tracked because Mom is 94 years old. In early October Mom received her first benefit payment which began her coverage retroactively to September 1. We are more than pleased with AVA and their ability to navigate the maze of government bureaucracy. We recommend AVA without reservation and tell everyone with family in assisted living or home care that the VA benefit and AVA services are available.
I did a lot of research for help with my Grandmoms benefits before contacting Americans Veterans aid
I did a lot of research for help with my Grandmoms benefits before contacting Americans Veterans aid. I also read a lot of reviews on here before starting and paying for their service. Many complaints that I have seen are that this is a free program that the VA supplies and the cost of service that this company charges are out of line and too expensive. This is a business plain and simple and in my mind, very professional. From the beginning and many times before I paid a penny I was actually told this fact that this is a free service if you go to the VA directly. This was not hidden and repeated. There is no way I could have completed all these forms (correctly) was it not for this company and because of this, the first payment to my Grandmother was three months from when I first contacted them. I didn't expect payment at all for many more months as this is explained but with all the forms filled out correctly and the constant communication this process was superb. A shout out to Madeline Smith for her assistance and clear instructions. Time is money and in this case, it arrived quickly to help my grandmom. Lets say I did all this myself. It would have taken at least another month, therefore the service paid for itself. Thank you, Mike G

I was one of the believers that with the information I possessed it would be fairly simple to qualify my 92 year old mother for the benefits she so rightfully deserved. As a surviving spouse of a veteran of 26 years in the air force you would think it should be pretty simple. When I got the rejection letter from the VA our hopes soon turned into confusion. We had pretty much given up on all hopes of getting help to a spouse of a man who had passionately served his country for so many years . Thank goodness that American Veterans Aid was persistent in convincing us that their knowledgeable staff would be successful and understood all the necessary document that needed to filed in order for confidently say, we will get the benefit you so rightfully deserve. The team is comprised of the most knowledgeable and dedicated individuals who will tirelessly get you through the process of collecting all necessary information and walk you through the process on each step. You will be assigned a case manager who will oversee each step and validate all the information needed. We owe each member of the team a great deal of gratitude for all the help they have given my mom. They do a great service to all the veterans and their spouses. Thank you so much!

My father is a military veteran
My father is a military veteran. We as a family work very hard to manage his resources to be able to keep him in his home "safely and securely". As he ages his care is requiring more assistance. We were concerned that his resources would be depleted and we would not be able to keep him in his home. We had searched for other programs that he might be eligible. We were not successful. When my sister found the American Veterans Aid site, I was suspect due to all of the prior experiences. I decided to at least explore the idea. I also gave the site information to my sister in law for her mother. What made me decide to start the process was the screening process my sister in law experienced. It was a thorough, no fee, process. Once I made my first inquiry April 1, the process began with responses within 24 hours. I was given a complete list of all the required documents to provide for the application and instructions. It took a bit for me to get all of the required documents gathered and returned to American Veterans Aide. They sent the completed application package to me for review and my father's signatures. I sent the completed package to the organization on May 16 and they received the package on May 17. The approval letter was dated May 28. My father received his first payment on June 4. I may have been able to navigate the application process by myself, but I am confident I could not have done so completely and quickly. Thank you for the assistance.
This is the THANK YOU letter we sent to The AVA (AMERICAN'S VETERAN'S AID) Dear AVA, THANK YOU!
This is the THANK YOU letter we sent to The AVA (AMERICAN'S VETERAN'S AID) Dear AVA, THANK YOU! Thank you, THANK YOU! We can hardly find words to express our gratitude! We really NEEDED help with my husband's daily care. Pete, Ardee, Mr. Veterans Aid EVERYONE was SO HELPFUL and kind. And what REALLY overwhelmed us was the speed in which the aid came THROUGH! We thought it would take 3-6 months from the TIME you all sent it to the VA. But BECAUSE of your EXCELLENT WORK (in helping us create a "FULLY DEVELOPED" application) it came THROUGH as 'approved' ALMOST IMMEDIATELY! We were stunned and so greatly relieved. We can't say enough good about AVA. Now my husband has the help he NEEDS and I am actually able to take enough time off from his personal daily care to grow a garden, lol. We are also working on the ? music (and looking into comical T-SHIRTS, and bumper-stickers) as a way of helping to raise funding for rescuing children from human trafficking. Your MAGNIFICENT work is giving us the time to now DO these things we've always wanted to do. My son (who has been a licensed care-giver for years) was between clients and just up here from Texas helping out with home repairs. Well, he has volunteered to BE my husband's care-giver AND he is now HERE (from Texas) WITH HIS 13 year old son, and SWEET 5 year old daughter. This is ALL SUCH a tremendous BLESSING! We'll never be able to THANK YOU enough! You're in our prayers to continue to be ABLE to help OTHERS the way you helped us! With SINCERE APPRECIATION, The Akre's
My father who is the veteran he passed away 16 years ago, ever since I've been working on getting benefits for my mom on and off over the years
My father who is the veteran he passed away 16 years ago, ever since I've been working on getting benefits for my mom on and off over the years. VA always needing more paperwork more proofs but, still with the same results in the end DENIED! Plenty of times I get discouraged and just want to give up but, I knew I would not be able to help pay for my mom's care and what she receives from social security would not be enough. Taking time off from work to take multiple trips to the VA office and following all the instructions I would be given and having renewed hope just to hit the same wall... Until my mom could no longer live on her own and I would not be able to give her the kind of care she needed because I also have to work it became urget matter. I knew i needed help. After doing an internet search and some research, I came across AVA web site. I decided to take a leap of faith and signed up after they contacted me a few days later. I liked everything the rep had to say (I wish I could remember her name) she was sympathetic and caring since I was just newly divorced (poor lady ended up hearing more than she bargained for) but, she listened and assured me I would not be going through the process alone this time, for the 1st time I would have guidance and support! I'm glad I did it! I signed up on April 29th and by June 1st my mom was APPROVED! Brought tears to my eyes reading that approval letter! My mom will now be able to stay in her homecare where she is happy and well taken care of! Ana my case manager from AVA was very helpful and answered every question I had with no hesitation! Even my communications with document control were pleasant and they were quick to answer my questions. I could not THANK YOU enough AVA!
To: American Veterans Aid From: Elaine DiMarco, 7/19 I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for
To: American Veterans Aid From: Elaine DiMarco, 7/19 I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for me and my mother, Eleanor. Everyone worked extremely hard to get my mother qualified to receive the benefits to assist in her care. I could of NEVER have done this on my own. It is hard enough to see your parents age but when they need extra care with everyday activities it is even harder. This could not have come at a better time. The Corona Virus was hitting the elderly homes which we were looking into prior but really could not afford. But the cost and time of taking care of an elderly person in your home does add up with doctor bills, home assistance, medicine, and special food. I cannot tell you how professional, caring, and supportive the team was throughout the whole process and in record time we were granted the extra benefit for Aid and Attendance. My mother has always been in good hands with me and my husband but now the worry if needed to have more experience healthcare people involved has been lifted and the extra benefits helps us with the expenses of taking care of her specific needs. I was also surprised that you had turned this claim around in less than three months. I knew that people have waited longer trying to do this themselves. This was remarkable. Special Thanks to Lucy Theobald, Ardee Diamante, Joyce Navarro-Lucca. Our Case Manager Ardee Diamante, and his team were extremely helpful in organizing and ensuring that all the documents were collected. His status updates were remarkably organizing, and response time was record time. His direction and consulting were so helpful and directed me to the right areas when collecting or sending documents. Truly passionate, knowledgeable, caring, and professional team. Thank You and God Bless Elaine DiMarco
Last year (July ) I did a search on line for assistance with VA Benefits for my father
Last year (July ) I did a search on line for assistance with VA Benefits for my father...I contacted American Veterans Aid and spoke with Mr. Bill R. I set up an appointment with him but later decided not to as I had my doubts about the program and company. A few months past and Bill contacted me again as a follow-up (March 3). At that time I thought about it again and decided to listen to what he had to say. We connected and he provided me with a lot of information that sounded Too Good to be True :), but I was still unsure. I did my own research and decided to look into this myself and found out the process would take a long time if I decided to do it myself...so, I made the decision to accept the offer. Bill was great and as soon as I signed up - I was referred to the Case Manager Ms. Madeline S. Madeline was amazing from day one. She briefed me, prepared a check list of items I needed to have ready. We spoke almost weekly via email and phone conversations until all the documents were ready to be filed. Madeline checked one by one to ensure the documents would be accepted by the VA. On April 26 - the VA received my Intent to File form. On May 18 after all documents and forms were ready I was provided with a packet from the American Veterans Aid for me to mail to the VA for approval. Yesterday, June 10th I was informed that my fathers request for VA Aid and Attendance Benefits had been APPROVED by the VA. I am extremely pleased with the work Madeline and Bill and others did on their team of professionals that reviewed all the documents before they were mailed - amazing job! I wish I had listened to Bill last year - lost a few months in between - but I am glad that I finally was able to trust American Veterans Aid, Bill and Madeline for their Amazing caring and professional well done job they did for my father, mother and for me. THANK YOU! from the bottom of my Heart - [Your Name]

Was trying to get survivors benefits
Was trying to get survivors benefits. They wanted more money even though they already knew I don't qualify. Service members officer went over paperwork and alerted us to the fact it was a scam. I've since tried to call gentlemen we've been working with and emailed. He has called twice however haven't spoken to him. All we are requesting is paperwork be returned as well as 1575 that was paid to start the process. We now know I would have never qualified. Please alert other elderly so it doesn't happen to anyone else. If you could help with the return of papers and refund it would be greatly appreciated.

It was a great experience. *** and the entire staff were so organized and guided me through the entire process. At first it seemed so overwhelming to organize and send all the required documents but with their guidance and help they made the entire process go smoothly I also had my doubts at first but assure you that everyone is so sincere and genuinely are there to Assisit you and work with you to get approved for the the VA benefits I am very grateful and cant thank them enough for all their hard work and assistance
American Veterans Aid helped us through the Aid and Attendance application process and made it easy to understand. The forms, documents, and information needed to be approved for this benefit is complicated and they made it simple. My 94 YO Mom thanks you and she received her benefits within a few months of contacting American Veterans Aid. Would highly recommend them, they are courteous, knowledgeable, and always a phone call away. Thank you *** for all your help.
As much as I initially fretted about the process and even questioned the costs of the assistance, I can now breathe deeply and say YES, they were amazing. The paperwork and information transfer is not intuitive, and I can't imagine trusting myself to do it all correctly on my own. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take advantage of this fabulous assistance that is so greatly needed by so many.
My 75-year-old veteran brother-in-law is in graduated stages of dementia, and my husband and I were frantic to seek help emotionally and financially. Now we are seeing the benefits of research and trusting in the expertise provided. Thanks to the patience and knowledge base of the professionals we consulted, we are now able to get the help we needed.
I would have floundered for months trying to secure benefits for my Mother (my late Father was a WWII combat vet) without the assistance of dedicated individuals who were extremely helpful. Any minor documentation errors were corrected swiftly. The VA accepted our application without any objections. We submitted the application in late June, and Mother received her first payment on August 1.
