We bought an 8-5 Autofill distiller from American Water Distillers and it quit working properly after 2 months. After calling the company and talking to only one person their, Dave, we can`t get them to honor the warranty and send us a part for the distiller. We should have known better then to buy from this place, as we have been dealing with Dave on our old distiller for years and he is like some old drunk cigarette smoker who gives you the run around and puts you on hold until you hang up. We urge anyone not to buy from American Water Distillers and avoid total frustration with this one man shamming operation.

A one-man ripoff operation. He seems intoxicated and is often incoherent. He goes out of his way to be evasive and unhelpful. I ordered a distiller several weeks ago and it has not arrived though the charge has already appeared on my credit card. He is entirely unwilling to provide any information on the status of the order. There are several web sites under different names, probably due to his poor reputation.
