This may seem not important to most people and I understand if there's nothing you can do. I searched for a local journalist and it lead me to you. I am in need of help even a phone call would help. My problem is I bought a vehicle from Car-Mart in Joplin Mo. I already had one issue that was resolved because they sold the car they promised me. Now around the beginning of December 2023 my truck was put in the shop because it needed a new engine I was told 2 weeks max is what it would take. It is now January 17th 2024 and no information on my truck. I was out of work a little bit and I had to struggle to make a payment but I did and then today I went in to make a payment under the promise my truck was ready. I paid and then they told me they don't know were my truck is. I called them and told them my boss advanced me the money on my check to be able to get my truck and that was ALL the money I had. At home me my wife and 3 daughters have no water no heat and I could of used that money to help my family. They Lied to me and now my family is suffering so they can profit. I went from nesoho to Joplin for nothing yo leave broke and no truck. that truck is my way to work yo make money and they know that.. the manager just said there's nothing they can do. didn't offer my money back nothing.. not even a replacement vehicle. I'm embarrassed and depressed that I lost everything I had to try and take care of my family.I worked all week in the negative temperatures outside at my job for that money and it was basically stolen and they don't care

So we bought a 2012 Honda pilot from the Fayetteville lot it was a nice car you know had low miles for carmart cars ran good when we first got it to 2- 3 months and having the car started having issues with the automatic four-wheel-drive the VTX-four or whatever it is. It would lock in whenever it wanted. You could be running 70mph down the highway and it would lock in and sometimes make the car just swerve right. It about took my wife into a concrete barrier as she was driving over a bridge. Another time it took her off the road and she went through a barb wire fence. After that one we got carmart involved. They came and got the car and had it for a week just to give it back to us and say they couldn’t find anything. After they had told us to take it to a local mechanic and get the codes ran on it. There was a list of codes for the car. Not all major codes but he showed us where it had codes for the vtx-4. So we get it back and whatever they do to sell the car they must have done again because we didn’t have any problems for 3 weeks and then yesterday it happened again and took my wife off the road on a busy neighborhood street through a nice brick mailbox and into a tree. All of these accidents happened with my kids in the car with her. But Needless to say car is totaled I’m sure. And I will be taking legal action against carmart on this one.
Recommendation: If you can buy elsewhere.

I chose to return the vehicle and was denied the return of my deposit as well as a negative addition to my credit report. The entire process was like being punished for choosing this dealership. I am a retired person living on a very limited income and will be put in a very financially difficult situation after this. I want the community to be aware of the horrific business practices of this company when a customer is not satisfied with the product. He or she is PUNISHED severely by this company. So basically this company steals from customers and has absolutely no compassion for their situation or needs.
Really nothing I can say my car has been nothing but issues since I got it they haven't fixed the problem with my car instead they say they can't find it and send it back to me and it does it the next day that car has been issues I have pictures and videos of it when it started and recents the manager told me don't have room for it today the mechanic is concerned about the car and the manager did not care about it I'm paying $12000 for a car that's in and out the shop making me lose money just to get smacked by issues with the thing in and out of shops it was in one shop for 7 weeks and their pulling the same thing their telling everyone else pay it down to a certain number knowing I work a tough job it won't be paid there until the thing blows up seems like you'll have to break it just to get them to fix the actual ISSUE WITH IT but even then they'll just replace some other part that didn't need to be replaced and say it's ready
The lady who handled our sale was great. The problem is the company. They will do anything to get you into a car right then, even if they know it will screw you over later. We were told we would get a call for our 'tag package' and the call never happened. I got pulled over for expired temp tag (officer was very nice and even told me he hasn't heard a single good story from this dealership, and that he sees this expired temp tag thing from them constantly) and called them (Car mart) and was told it wasn't their responsibility to tell me when my package was ready. As if I should have special abilities and know when THEY finish their work. Biggest issue, they KNEW we were there on a very limited budget (as we had just moved here and our vehicle blew in the move) and what they never mentioned to us was that they wouldn't be taking sales tax there on the purchase. New to me. I have bought 4 or 5 NEW cars in my adult life and I always went and picked up the tags at the lot I bought from. Not this one. Now I'm on the hook for almost $1500 to get my tags that expired 2 weeks ago. This was never mentioned. They never said a word about not including the taxes. First car I have ever bought that the taxes weren't included. Turns out, they couldn't get us approved with the taxes included so they omitted them to get the price lower to get in the car right then. But never said a word about owing another 1500 to get our tags when the time came. They didn't say anything because they knew they wouldn't get the sale. We were expecting a 'tag package' like we received with our last several car purchases that includes the tags and registration. Had they told us we would have to pay the tax later and it not included in the sale, we would have either left or kept part of the deposit to get the tags. Why hide this just to get a sale? We asked a million questions about everything but still, this wasn't spoke of. We would have been prepared and this taken care of weeks ago had they mentione

They put repo on my credit report and the report is incorrect since the street that is on the account doesn't even exist I try to get it off my credit report for falsifying information and they fail to do so. I lived in Missouri at the time but got the car in Arkansas something needs to be done with this corrupt company and they need to remove it from my credit report. I am sure they have gap insurance. I bought a car from car Mart July and it was in the shop the next when I tried to get it exchanged with the 7 day satisfaction guarantee I was told they didn't have any cars around my price range and that they would fix it under the extended warranty. The car has been in and out of the shop since then but I have never missed a payment. I faithful pay on this car even though it's in and out of the shop. This car quit on me and my 17 month old son on the interstate beside 18 wheelers and it posed a safety Hazzard again I was told to make a few more payments on the car with before I can get put into another one. The car has since been leaking oil. Shifting cable went out radiator has went out now they mechanic shops are saying that the engine cradle is bent but I never had a wreck or an accident in this vehicle. The car has been in and out of the shops regularly and it is still posing a safety concern for my family and small kid. I was told they can do a AOC with a repossession with a zero balance but that's illegal because I have never missed a payment. I would like to get in touch with the owners but was told they don't have that information so I'm taking this to court.

Mine is not reliable. It's had a hot burning smell since Sept when I bought it. Which I told them about it the next day. They said they didn't see anything. They only had it a couple mins. Now uts not running at all. I had to pay 175.00 for a diagnostic test bc the kind where you get the free checks aren't good enough. I put 3 quarts of oil in it every 2 to 3 weeks and the transmission is out. I was told it was unsafe to be driving for not only myself but anyone else with me or on the road bc it could easily catch fire or just completely up and die with no warning and cause a accident It finally died on me a week ago and Carmart has NOT been in touch with the manager of the repair shop and returned their calls. The repair guy that handles Carmart accounts has called with no call back. They can't even start on my car since they aren't getting a call back. I'm loosing money and not able to pay my bills bc my bill money I've had to spend 170 in uber fees in 5 days bc I don't have a vehicle. PLUS 15G for a 11 yr old car with 160k miles is outrageous. But I needed a vehicle and I have bad credit and didnt have 2000.00 to give to a dealership. I was desperate bc I got stuck 30 mins from my home and Uber wanted 70.00 to pick me up and take me home. Carmart was 10 mins from where I was stranded so I paid uber 30.00 to take me there. I'm not at all happy with the outcome. They don't want to call the repair shop back so it can get fixed but they want a tax payment of 1000.00 and their monthly payment of 370 so one payment right now equalling 1,370.00 due NOW. Plus my deductible for my warranty. When I found out today that after a week of the repair shop having my car and nothing was fixed or even started on I was FURIOUS. On top of all of this I've lost one of my jobs and my 2nd job is driving and I have a disabled mother who I have to care for and has to have frequent doctor appointments. My family got 3 vehicles from their Texarkana office and each one had issues. Started having issues with first vehicle after my daughter got her car. They agreed to have the vehicle fixed, at a garage of their choosing, and add the bill for the 'repairs' to my note. Was in the shop 4x and about 6 weeks total within 2 months. Finally, the head manager agreed to dismiss the note, which was about 90% paid off anyways, and let me get a different vehicle. That vehicle started having transmission problems a week after I got it. Returned the 2nd vehicle and now they have put 2 repo's on my credit, even though they said they were going to dismiss the 1st one. They claim to be Christians, but they are a bunch of crooks and liars!
My car stopped working on me and I called Carmart and told him that it wasn't working they told me to try to get my mechanic to work on it I got my mechanic to work on it he figured out that it was And electrical problem I'll call Car Mart In call Told them that my mechanic said that it was and electrical and they called me back and said they will be able to pick it up and look at it after about seven or eight days I called they told me they still have no information the mechanic still hadn't told him anything about so I'll wait until I was around the time to pay my car note I pay my car note and car back and then they tell me That I don't do electrical work I told them that was the problem before they picked my truck up now they're trying to make me pay for the tow truck fee and for two hours of upfront labor I don't know what to i don't mind paying the tow truck fee but up for labor no because they aren't even working on the car I'm still paying my car note and they haven't called to say anything
Customer service is not their top priority at Car Mart they seem to prey on people they willingly know buy cars with serious mechanical problems and sell the cars $3500 above market price as per Cynthia because of covid. While pressing people to buy their protection and service contract.
I and my friend Nadine went to Car Mart on 11/22 I was met by the salesperson Mason. We tried 2011 Dodge Caliber I test drove the vehicle the rear end sounded bad it sound like it was getting ready to fall out; so we test drove 2013 Nissan Sentra it drove ok on the short test drive. And they stressed I need to get a service contract or protection plan. I took it home and proceeded to drive first thing I had to put air in all the tires then I drove around town it started jerking going up or down a hill. I brought it back and asked did they have these vehicles checked out before they sold the car Lacy said no. They then let me test drive a 2005 Cadillac Deville and heavily stressed that I needed to purchase a service contract which I did they did not tell me the price till I was filling out the contract they stated it was 8,999 for the car I asked why so high they said everybody overpriced their vehicles. I needed a car so I sign the contract with the service agreement which was 999.00. On 11/30 I called back I have an oil leak and the display for the tire pressure ,mileage is completely wrong. I talked to the General Manager Cynthia she sated I am not able to get inyo another vehichle but I could bring it in and they qill fix it. I asked if I could cancel the contract she said yes but I would not get my refund back. Now even though I have a seven-day satisfaction guarantee they said since I brought back the Nissan I can not return the Cadillac within the 7 days as the satisfaction statement says that it is no longer valid.
I believe they have false pretenses when they sell these vehicles and press people to purchase the protection plan and service agreement especially if they do not have a mechanic to check the vehicle out and believe they are price gouging on these vehicles
I've been a repeat customer at Carmart and haven't had any problems until I bought my last car. I put a decent size down payment and have only had the car for less than 4 months and my car has been in the shop for 2.5 weeks. None from Carmart had contacted me with updates. I've been the one initiating all communication. I've heard different stories. And now I've found out the the woman I've been talking to, lied to me about it's status. Lack of trust in this business.

My car was leaking oil into the coolant. I paid $100 for a diagnosis car-mart asked for and took my car in under warranty to have an oil cooler replaced. I paid a $75 deposit to use the warranty. They had it 4 or 5 days and told me it's ready for pickup. A few days later I decided to check the coolant. Even more oil in it than before. I called and they told me to call the shop it went to. I asked what shop and they said muffler city. Called them. They told me they were told to replace the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter. My car now makes a different noise and the metal heat shield is cut on both sides. I ended up getting a loan and paying $944 for the oil cooler replacement myself at a different shop. Will never buy nor recommend anyone to buy a car here again.

I bought a 2021 Chrysler 200 back in July from the Bixby, OK location. I had the car maybe 3 months and it broke down on me. Took it to a mechanic who told me the GPS sensor they put in the car is causing the crank shaft sensor to malfunction (which completely shuts down the car, you have NO control). Brought it back to Carmart told them what we were told and they said there is no way that's happing. They were nice enough to fix the sensor for me. The car worked for about 8-12 months and broke down on me again. We decided to get it fixed ourselves. The sensor AND the wiring was replaced because someone had spliced into the wire (mind you the previous place we took it said their sensor is causing the issue. Which they spliced into the wire). We paid to have the crankshaft sensor and wiring replaced. The sensor has gone out on us 4 times since in the last 6 months since we replaced it, Thank God it has been under warranty this whole time. Guess what happened again a couple of weeks ago the sensor went out again. In the meantime we have replaced an O2 sensor, brakes, tires, and some other things. NOW after $3000 in the past six months the radiator hose is broke, literally crumbled to pieces. I'm SICK and TIRED of paying for a piece of ***! They should be put out of business for taking advantage of people.

I have some issues that need to be addressed. It seems like all the representatives are against what I've always tried to tell them about my 2009 Ford Fusion SE. Now that it's out of warranty, it's my responsibility, and I understand that.
The cover gasket was an issue, and the mechanic even mentioned I might need a new motor. When I relayed this to the salesperson at CarMart, she denied that the mechanic said such a thing. Months later, I had to get the engine replaced as it wasn't under warranty anymore, even though I had been telling the manager that my car was rattling while it was still covered. But months later, it broke down and needed a new engine. After they replaced the engine, the car came back with no AC. When I mentioned this, the mechanic claimed he received the car in that condition, which was untrue. Regarding the rattling, he said the tensioner pulley was faulty, but that would have been on the previous engine.
I had the CarMart mechanic inspect it before taking it to the Greenville Auto Hospital, where he suggested the belt might be loose. The car still rattles to this day, along with electrical issues that are new to me. My light bulbs keep blowing out. Owning this car has been a constant headache. Even during the warranty period, my concerns were brushed off, which is disappointing. I used to be a satisfied CarMart customer, even referring people and family there. Now, I'm facing repossession. I didn't have a job but was actively searching and have since found one that I start on Tuesday. Some representatives have been understanding and helpful, but the general manager was not as kind. I'm aware of the 'as is' clause when purchasing a car, which could mean any issues might arise, but I didn't expect a motor or transmission issue.
Despite the problems, my goal is to pay off the car and get it fixed properly, even though it leaked a lot of oil, which I was unaware of until recently.
I'm reaching out for assistance because I was informed that my account had been modified seven times and cannot be modified further. I understand that, but I'm trying everything in my power to keep the car and pay for it. Many people wouldn't continue to pay for a vehicle that's essentially a lemon and has had terrible service, but if I don't pay, I receive harassing phone calls, or someone comes and drives the car to the lot. All I've ever wanted is fairness, which hasn't been completely achieved. In the worst-case scenario, if the car is taken away from me, I guess it will be the end of the stress, and I won't have to spend any more money trying to make car payments. I just spent $700 on repairs that were supposed to be covered by the service contract.

I love Car Mart! I bought a great Nissan Altima from them! ran great for awhile. Once it broke down, obviously had to go back! They treated me so well, so of course after my first car breaking down after a year, I for sure had to go back! Now I got a beautiful 2014 Ford Explorer! I've had it for about 3 months now. Sure the power steering is broken and my payments are through the roof, but they are super friendly and helpful! Thanks Car Mart for selling me two awesome vehicles within a year and a half!
This place takes advantage of people with bad credit! They do not help you when your car breaks down, they add on to your payments without your consent! This is the worst place to buy a car. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND CAR MART OF OXFORD MS!

I used their online appraisal system to sell my personal vehicle outright. It came back w/ a pending value of $45,750*. I was contacted promptly last Friday that I would be contacted by either Lebanon, MO or Springfield, MO to bring my truck by for inspection. I did not hear back from them on Monday and sent a text message to the customer service number that texted me on a status update. I received a reply they would be contacting me that evening. No response. I called them back today, Tuesday, June 22nd and was advised that because I owe around $30,000 still on my vehicle that it would exceed their limitations. My question is if you are offering on purchasing a vehicle from a customer that is in good equity standing; why blow them off until you can verify the condition of the vehicle and confirm the appraisal?
In a normal world a dealer would verify the appraised value. Then verify my payoff. Write a check to the lien holder w/ a 10 day payoff. Write me a check for the equity.

I almost purchased a car from the Texarkana location, paid the required downpayment, added the vehicle to my insurance policy, all as the request of employees at Car Mart-Texarkana, just to find out the vehicle I just paid on/for, was not in condition to be driven off the lot as-is. The employees put the vehicle in the shop, told me to pick it up the next day by noon. Noon the next day rolls around and I go to the lot just to find out the vehicle had not been fixed, and with the information I received from the employees, may not ever be fixed. They tried to make me pick another vehicle from their lot or a surrounding car mart lot even though I expressed I would like a refund instead. After about 30-45 minutes of looking through inventory, they decided that they would refund my money but due to company policy it would take 3-5 for the check to be returned. This is completely unacceptable. I never signed the papers to purchase the vehicle, never drove the vehicle off the lot, but I am having the HARDEST time getting a refund. Even after speaking with multiple members of the corporate office, including their legal department, I still have been promised things they have no intentions on delivering. It is disgusting how they talk to their customers, inform their customers, and communicate (or lack there of) with their customers. I am so thankful I have never been a customer and will never be. Mine is not reliable. It's had a hot burning smell since Sept when I bought it. Which I told them about it the next day. They said they didn't see anything. They only had it a couple mins. Now uts not running at all. I had to pay 175.00 for a diagnostic test bc the kind where you get the free checks aren't good enough. I put 3 quarts of oil in it every 2 to 3 weeks and the transmission is out. I was told it was unsafe to be driving for not only myself but anyone else with me or on the road bc it could easily catch fire or just completely up and die with no warning and cause a accident It finally died on me a week ago and Carmart has NOT been in touch with the manager of the repair shop and returned their calls. The repair guy that handles Carmart accounts has called with no call back. They can't even start on my car since they aren't getting a call back. I'm loosing money and not able to pay my bills bc my bill money I've had to spend 170 in uber fees in 5 days bc I don't have a vehicle. PLUS 15G for a 11 yr old car with 160k miles is outrageous. But I needed a vehicle and I have bad credit and didnt have 2000.00 to give to a dealership. I was desperate bc I got stuck 30 mins from my home and Uber wanted 70.00 to pick me up and take me home. Carmart was 10 mins from where I was stranded so I paid uber 30.00 to take me there. I'm not at all happy with the outcome. They don't want to call the repair shop back so it can get fixed but they want a tax payment of 1000.00 and their monthly payment of 370 so one payment right now equalling 1,370.00 due NOW. Plus my deductible for my warranty. When I found out today that after a week of the repair shop having my car and nothing was fixed or even started on I was FURIOUS. On top of all of this I've lost one of my jobs and my 2nd job is driving and I have a disabled mother who I have to care for and has to have frequent doctor appointments. The lady who handled our sale was great. The problem is the company. They will do anything to get you into a car right then, even if they know it will screw you over later. We were told we would get a call for our 'tag package' and the call never happened. I got pulled over for expired temp tag (officer was very nice and even told me he hasn't heard a single good story from this dealership, and that he sees this expired temp tag thing from them constantly) and called them (Car mart) and was told it wasn't their responsibility to tell me when my package was ready. As if I should have special abilities and know when THEY finish their work. Biggest issue, they KNEW we were there on a very limited budget (as we had just moved here and our vehicle blew in the move) and what they never mentioned to us was that they wouldn't be taking sales tax there on the purchase. New to me. I have bought 4 or 5 NEW cars in my adult life and I always went and picked up the tags at the lot I bought from. Not this one. Now I'm on the hook for almost $1500 to get my tags that expired 2 weeks ago. This was never mentioned. They never said a word about not including the taxes. First car I have ever bought that the taxes weren't included. Turns out, they couldn't get us approved with the taxes included so they omitted them to get the price lower to get in the car right then. But never said a word about owing another 1500 to get our tags when the time came. They didn't say anything because they knew they wouldn't get the sale. We were expecting a 'tag package' like we received with our last several car purchases that includes the tags and registration. Had they told us we would have to pay the tax later and it not included in the sale, we would have either left or kept part of the deposit to get the tags. Why hide this just to get a sale? I and my friend Nadine went to Car Mart on 11/22 I was met by the salesperson Mason. We tried 2011 Dodge Caliber I test drove the vehicle the rear end sounded bad it sound like it was getting ready to fall out; so we test drove 2013 Nissan Sentra it drove ok on the short test drive. And they stressed I need to get a service contract or protection plan. I took it home and proceeded to drive first thing I had to put air in all the tires then I drove around town it started jerking going up or down a hill. I brought it back and asked did they have these vehicles checked out before they sold the car Lacy said no. They then let me test drive a 2005 Cadillac Deville and heavily stressed that I needed to purchase a service contract which I did they did not tell me the price till I was filling out the contract they stated it was 8,999 for the car I asked why so high they said everybody overpriced their vehicles. I needed a car so I sign the contract with the service agreement which was 999.00. On 11/30 I called back I have an oil leak and the display for the tire pressure ,mileage is completely wrong. I talked to the General Manager Cynthia she sated I am not able to get inyo another vehichle but I could bring it in and they qill fix it. I asked if I could cancel the contract she said yes but I would not get my refund back. Now even though I have a seven-day satisfaction guarantee they said since I brought back the Nissan I can not return the Cadillac within the 7 days as the satisfaction statement says that it is no longer valid.
I believe they have false pretenses when they sell these vehicles and press people to purchase the protection plan and service agreement especially if they do not have a mechanic to check the vehicle out and believe they are price gouging on these vehicles

cover gasket and the guy even told me at the time im gonna need a new motor i told *** at carmart she said he didnt say that months later i had to get engine replaced it wasnt in warranty then and I had been telling the manager at the time that my car was rattleing and it was in warranty then. but months later it broke down. and needed to get engine. and when they replaced the engine it came back with no AC. I told the guy about it and he said he got the car that way. and that was untrue. I also asked him about the rattleing he said the tensioner pulley was faulty. but if it was faulty it was on the other engine. I let the car mart mechanic look at it before he had me to take it to the Greenville auto hospiltal he said it sounded like the belt is loose. the car still rattles till this day Along with electrical issues and ive never dealt with that before. my light bulbs keep blowing. the journey of having this car has been nothing but headache ive tried even talking with the reps at the time of the warranty it was all ways a brush off and its a shame I got to be a customer that use to be so happy with car mart even send ppl and family there now im in the repossession process i didnt have a job but was looking for one I found one I start tuesday the reps has been understanding and helpful especially *** but the general manager wasnt that kind I understand my laws and i no when u purchased a car and it says as is so with that being said u may run into any issues but a motor issue or transmission issues is not one of them but I still carried on why because I love the car and my goal is to pay it off and try to get it fixed the right way even though it leaked alot of oil and I had no idea till the end

I purchased a 5000 dollar car that I had almost 11,000 I paid for it and after getting 5 payments till complete the car brakes down and with no discussion
They came and report the car then tell me I only have 5 000 left
To pay for it I had complained about the vehical several times not to mention the repair man when it was side swipped wanted to total it
Said it wasn't worth repairing.
I informed them the car was incapacitated and I had to use my payment to rent a car I never got an oil change off there service contract I did all the repairs myself.
Then tried to sell it back to me for 5000 it was salvage the car never was wortb 5000 i paid 509 with the full coverage is a month for this car that blue booked for 4300 that was in tip top condition.

When I got my car it was a 2012 Buick enclave they told me not was checked out and had an alignment before I got it a week after I got it the tires was starting to wear so there was no alignment and they also picked the car for over kbb and even other car marts said it was ridiculous. I got into a car wreck on 11/21 and called my local Car-Mart to report the wreck under the Accident Protection Plan. They informed me that I needed to file the claim online before customer assistance would contact me. I filed the claim, but missed the first call from customer assistance. Worst mistake ever, apparently. I called numerous times and could not even get a hold of an agent, and when I try texting the agent straight up doesn't know what is happening. If I even get a text back! This has been an issue for a week and I have not been able to get past square one. I just want to get my stuff out of my car, but I can't do that when I am having to deal with a customer service agent who is frankly unfit for her job. All I want is to TALK to someone and get the ball rolling.

Car was purchased along with warranty. Engine locked up, has had in their shop for 2 months, still making payments on it and they aren't fixing it. Car was purchased with warranty. Kept over heating, took it back to them numerous times, sent it to a fly by night mechanic and nothing was ever fixed, still over heated finally engine blew. Has had 2 used engine since then that both blew up before they were even driven 24 hours. They have had the car for almost 2 full months, still making payments on it on time every time and they aren't fixing it. Have talked to managers and corporate and no one will give us a time line on fixing it. Offered to "repo" it for me and put me in something else when I have never even been late on a payment. I paid for the warranty I want the car fixed in a timely manner. How unconscionable is it to treat people like this.

Car Mart sold me a car in October. They spliced the GPS tracker into the wiring harness where the code reader plugs in to see why the car is throwing a engine code. Car is unrepairable because if this. It appears they did this to bypass the codes so they could sell the car without fixing it before selling it.
The car's transmission fluid was never changed which caused the car to lose all power and transmission failure. Rack and pinion was messed up when we got the car. The service stabilitrack and traction control was messed up. The spark plugs and coil packs was never changed when in their shop. The catalytic converters are completely gone and needs replaced no gaskets have been fixed or replaced.
I bought a 2006 Jeep 3 years ago. I paid it off on August 14. I received my title and lien release. I received in the mail a letter from the Missouri Department of Revenue that I only have 30 days to pay taxes and get it registered. I called and found out that Carmart said that it was refinanced on August 27. I have had the car for 3 years and it has been paid off. They are making it seem that they are selling me the car when that is not the case. This seems fraudulent.

I had bought a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse LT from CarMart of Columbia around April 24. Around late May the Air Conditioning unit stopped running cold air so I called CarMart and they had told me to bring it by and they would fix it. After it was done CarMart told me that they sprayed a blue dye to check for holes in the unit which they did find, then fixed the problem and refilled it for free. On June 28 the unit ran out of air once again but this time they told me over the phone that they did not fix the holes and if I wanted it fixed I would have to buy a brand new air conditioning system for the car. I told them that I have a child and they told me that it's not there problem. I just them to fix it like they are supposed to.

It drove out nice, but the remote key was destroyed, held together with scotch tape. Tim my salesman said during the test drive that they have a key guy and getting a new key or two shouldn't be an issue. Signed contract of Debt Cancellation. Purchased vehicle October and the vehicle was totaled March . Insurance paid out roughly $15,000. Carmart states although I requested and signed the contract for the Payment Protection Plan they did not add it to my final cost. As a consumer how would I know this happened? The contract is vague when breaking down the cost. I've contacted Carmart multiple times to get this corrected and they have failed to do so. I now have a charge off on my credit that is negatively affecting me monthly. I want the final charges on my account zero'd out and my credit report updated.

Paid out of pocket towing to local repair shop $90. 3/31; almost 5pm rcvd call back from CarMart stating I can have vehicle towed to their shop out of my pocket and they would advise of cost to repair. 4/7; notified from my repair man a new battery harness & battery required due to negligence of previous shop that installed motor (positive/negative wires crossed caused battery to expand/leak acid). 4/9; car fixed, total cost $684.73. Car only in my possession 8 days out of 1st 30 days owned! Temp tags expired before getting car drive able! Car-Mart refuses reimbursement of all out of pocket ($774.83) towing/repair expenses.

I purchased a 2007 Chevy Cobalt from this company earlier this year. I put down $1500 on this car and paid $140 every two weeks. It came with a 60 day warranty. I called them the first day I had it because it was making a sound and the steering wheel was giving me issues. They didn't do anything for me until after the 60 days was up even though I called and went up to the dealership several times. They finally looked at the vehicle and they told me they would waive the $75 fee. Then they told me no mechanic would touch it because it was corroded underneath. Initially, they were offering me nothing. Then they told me they would trade me into another vehicle. They told me they were going to mark the Cobalt as a repo. They told me I didn't have to put any money down and my payments would be $198/ biweekly. They put into a 2009 Ford Fusion a few months back. This car is making a funny noise when it starts up. The deposit and payments were not applied to this new car. I was on time with all of my payments. It was not my fault that they couldn't fix the car.

We go back to the lot and I told him to give dealer tags until I get it inspected. It needed an tail light assembly and they agreed to pay for it. Four weeks went by. I had to call them to find out if the light was there and to go get it. I got pulled over and the officer told me it was illegal for the car lot to let us pull off the lot with no inspection. He gave me a warning because I didn't know. The truck started running rough. I had to buy another battery. There was a hairline crack which means the truck was no good. They told me the oil had been changed, but I knew that was not true because the oil smelled burnt. I took it in to a shop and was told the oil change was way overdue. The truck has a bad tire. The tires looked like they matched, but they really didn't. I had to have the tire replaced. My first payment was due on 11/5 and they hounded me about the payment. The company is not owning up to any of these problems.

Not willing to help payment arrangements, instead want to threatened to take your vehicle away of not paid. Only 1 payment behind. *** Her name started with a *** we think. My husband went in to carmart to do A payment arrangement with a Hispanic lady today and she did not care of our needs or wanted to help in any way. Earlier this week I spoke with a I think her name with a *** about coming *** to do a arrangement she said ok I will make a note. We went today she asked my husband like I said oh you are here for a payment he said no she said what you have no money he said no then she said well if you dont make a 2 payments next week we will take the vehicle. We are not perfect and we been late few times since we had to start new jobs cause of covid thing. Times are rough and carmart usually more helpful then this. Idea is to keep people in vehicles not run them from this company. I been with carmart for years but its *** now especially during all this covid crap. I would like contact for a district manager or CEO about this matter for honest people actually trying and making payments during this hard times. I plan on taking my buisness elsewhere when my car is paid off and never recommending carmart to anyone

Car continues to over heat to where it's not even drivable. No kind of customer service. Corporate doesn't return phone calls I purchased a vehicle from west Memphis car mart on 11/22 vehicle was running fine about 6 months I couldn't drive my vehicle because it over heated. I dropped it off for repairs about may 15th it was just about a week before I got my car back. There was a big issue about me knowing where my car was to get some items out for work. I talked to the mechanic he told me it was the water pump. Without my knowledge my car was moved to "another mechanic" that said it was just my hose. I picked my car up as I drove off the lot my car began shaking really bad. I returned the car the same day to be put back in the shop. They called and told me my tires were bad. My only question was how? it was not that way when I dropped if off. I picked my car back up may 26th and had to go purchase new tires. On July 3rd on my way to Memphis my car broke down again leaving me stranded for two hours it had over heated again. I know for a fact I've called corporate about 6 times and not once have I gotten a returned call. All I want is either another vehicle or my down payment back. The worst experience I've had with a car ever.

truck paid off on 12/5. Bank cleared as of Dec 7. called car mart 16 Dec. Called corporate 16 Dec. Have no title as of 28 Dec. paid by card no check. They told me that if ii paid by check it would take two weeks to clear. I paid with my bank card on the 5 Dec at the Burlington store. On the 7 Dec the bank had cleared it so the money final payment was taken out and cleared. I called the office in Burlington and asked about the title and some woman told me that she did not know anything about it and the person who deals with it was not there . This was on 16 Dec. I then called the corporate office in Bentonville Arkansas and made a complaint about it and they seem not too worried about it. They offered little help, on 16 Dec. When I went in too pay the truck off in Dec 2020 They told me that if I paid with a check it would take two weeks to clear, instead I paid with my bank card which was cleared with two days. I still have not received my title for the truck so I feel upset about it and I probably need to get ahold of the court house to see if a can get a copy. I will not ever buy another car from them as i see the hassle and trouble to get the title. I even told them to send it too me here in town. I main complaint it I paid it off on the 7th and here it is the 28 and still no title.

I recently purchased a car from the local car mart here in Oxford, Ms.. This is the second time I've tried to purchase from them I should have know better .. Yes it's easy to get financing all have have to do is have the money for down payment.. But the quality of car you will get is another whole statement.. I got a car with 2 dents in the side, hood won't pop when they did get it up it wouldn't stay up they had to hold it up with a stick in order to change the oil. Now it's smoking and tapping when I called *** the manager she pretty much called me a lie about the dents I'm so sick of these car dealers selling cars in any shape because they know people need a ride. And if I could add the video of it smoking I would purchase date was 11/24 I paid down S1.500 this is a 2015 Hyundai Sonota total price over $28,000 and l'm ***. They are very helpful until the sale is done then you are a liar and you get no help. I blame myself for going back to them after the first unsafe car and yes it was unsafe the man they pay to work on their cars told me right in front of them. I should have known not to trust.. They take advantage of people and they sell bad cars. When you call them to help with the lemon they sold you they get smart something needs to be done to hold them accountable for they type cars they sell.
