On or about March 11 I opened an account with Americor
On or about March 11 I opened an account with Americor. It was advertised to me that they would support me in releiving my debt by settling with debtors. Since this date, I have settled 1 of 9 accounts. My credit is so poor until the creditors that I am in good standing with are closing my accounts. When you try to ask "what's going on? What is being done?" you are met with a script of how you have to just wait and you need to build more money into a reserve account. I have asked for updated on where I am in the process with other creditors and I get lied to by a representative in the settlement department. She said she would escalate negotiations with my *** and Citi cards and nothing occurred. When I called back to see why nothing was done, I was told that she can not speak with me or she will get in trouble. When I look at the fees I am being charged, I am not really saving large sums of money. I feel like I was lied to and my questions are never answered. This is Not ok.

Complaint Against AMERICOR for Poor Credit Management Services
Hello, my name is undisclosed. My complaint is against AMERICOR. I hired the company in November to consolidate 5 credit cards. I was told they were going to not only consolidate and pay my cards but also fix my credit score in one year. By the end of 2020, I should have had a perfect score. Instead, my score was extremely low because they failed to communicate with a credit card company. Despite one card being paid off and another settled, the companies continued to send statements with past due balances for almost a year. My wife repeatedly contacted them for resolution, but no one listened or returned calls. They promised to notify the credit bureaus and correct the issue, acknowledging their error, yet did nothing. Now, my credit score is very low, and I have 5 charge-offs for cards that are paid off.

When I was pitched the debt consolidation program I was told that my credit accounts would be reported to the credit agencies as paid in full. Now that Ive gotten to the step in the program where the accounts have been paid off, my credit report says settled for less. This will stay on my credit report for 7+ years and was the opposite of what I was told. Which is the only reason I enrolled in the program.
This is a two (2) year debt settlement contract, entered 10/21. I should be done with this contract, 10/20, however Americor continues to charge $400.00 a month with no end in site. I have attempted on many occasions to negotiate the final payment that should have already been accredited to my account and my account should be closed. They continue to make charges to my bank and to date have not offered any information as to the final disposition of this contract.
To much funny business now by this company. All I want now is to stop doing business with this company, but they are taking over a week to close my account. I called 5 times this week, and the only connection after an hour on hold, was the first time and i was told i had to send a statement of a credit card latest ***. I do not understand why I had to do this, just to close my account. I did it, and nothing since. They are withdrawing $535 a month and this program no longer benefits my financial needs.
I have tried to call them I can't get anyone on the phone. I need to remove an account from their service because the account I'm trying to remove put a judgement on me they said that they would set up a payment arrangement if I remove this account from Americor otherwise they are going to garhish my wages. I've tried every way to get a hold of them, email, texting them and trying to call them. I can't get my wages garnished . I afford to lose my house because they won't call me back. At this point I don't know what to do. This very important that they I get a hold of me Since the company is going to work with . Thank You *** .
I signed up with Americor on 01/30 to help with a financial hardship to settle 2 credit card debts
I signed up with Americor on 01/30 to help with a financial hardship to settle 2 credit card debts. Have never missed a payment. The first debt was paid off fairly timely. Now I have made several attempts to have my second debt paid and I get the run around when I call and never get a call back. I have contacted discover which is the account I owe and they state Americor has made no attempt to negotiate a payoff with them. The amount Discover quoted to me that they would except to settle the debt I have well over that amount in my Americor account with money left over. And Americor states I will need to extend number of payments because the creditor has not excepted an offer. If I request my money thats in my account with Americor I am told I will owe fees and they will have to report this on my credit report. Every time I call they are going to escalate my call but no one ever responds. I want the debt settled for what I was quoted by Discover 2 months ago and my $3000.00 refunded from Americor

24 months ago we consolidated our debt with Americor and the sales person stated our debt would be settled in 12 months, our credit would be minimally affected and our final payment would be June 2022. Americor just reached out to tell us our debt was not settled in 12 months but only just recently. They called to demand more payments through September 2022. The other issue is that the credit consequences have been severe. We were able to manage that one issue but the rest have just compiled and have shown us this company has no concern for their customers and will sell you anything and then bait and switch 2 years later into the payment plan or threaten to charge you the full amount of the debt they said would of been settled 12 months ago, and that we have been paying them for responsibly for the past 24 months!
I started a debt settlement with the help of Americor a couple of years ago. As the program progressed, it became evident that they obscure the true savings I receive after settlement because they do not include their significant settlement fees in the dashboard or in the savings calculations. For example, they settled a credit card debt and displayed the savings as 35%. However, in reality, this comes with a substantial settlement fee, and the actual savings are considerably less. Additionally, this process comes with a significant reduction in credit score and impact on credit history, which results from following Americor's instructions on dealing with the creditors. I want to warn anyone considering this route for debt settlement to instead deal directly with the creditor to set up payment plans while protecting your credit history. I would like Americor to refund the balance in my 'dedicated' account and discontinue future payments.
I have been working with americor for 29 months now. I signed a 39 month contract to settle my debt making payments of $447.53 a month. I have paid them $12,979 so far. In the last 5 months I have been sued by 1 of the creditors on an account americor was supposed to be handling and failed to do so in a timely manner. Today I received a message telling me they need to extend my payments another 6 months out of the $447.53 a month or they will drop my account and I will be sued by yet another creditor that they have been in control of for the last 29 months. They originally told me my debt would be settled at an amount of $12,000. I have paid almost *** past the $12,000 and now they are telling me I have 16 more months of paying $447.53 a month. My credit score went from a 719 to a 600 then down to a 573 after getting sued. And it's looking like they are still taking my money and I'll be sued again by another creditor.
I entered an Agreement with Americor to settle my debt in September . All my accounts have been settled except one and the funds are in my dedicated account to settle the last account. I have contacted Americor for several months to reach a settlement and have been given the runaround. I contacted the oppossing party on 4/6/2022 to find that the account has been settled for $7000 and Americor has been raising the amount daily. They never informed me that an account can be sued and when this happended, told me this rarely happens that is why they didn't tell me. They continue to raise the settlement amount and will not give me an answer to why they won't pay the *** Account. This is dishonest and I want the account settled for the proper amount. They are clearly trying to increase their fee.

This is a debt relief scam where they negotiate debt and also send the payments for you
This is a debt relief scam where they negotiate debt and also send the payments for you. I have noticed that the settlement amount, the settlement fees, bank fees and the payment fees are way more than what I was paying before. As a result I have worked many hours to pay it off a year early. However they will not pay off the creditors even though I have the money in "my" escrow account. I keep getting told that I "need additional funds" and that they can't pay off the account. In the meantime they are charging me additional fees. I am showing that I should have a refund however they are telling me that they are going to pull more money out of my bank account on 6/15. You no longer can speak to customer service, their chat *** and get no resolution, you can't speak to a manager, and while I have been told that they will send a note to the payment department to pay it off multiple times they will not do so. I want them to refund the additional fees including the remaining amount in my account. I have attached screenshots saying that I still owe money even though it is paid off.

In March I started a debt relief program with Americor.I supplied them with a detailed list of my creditors and monies owed. For the next 2 years plus, I made timely monthly payments, and even paid a little extra. In April, I was notified that I was approved for a loan to pay off my creditors. I was encouraged to sign a padded loan document, it seems they didnt know who had my *** account, but had a pretty good lead. Well it took them four months to find someone to negotiate with, and they did. With Americor fee I ended up paying more than the original debt. That is beside the point though. Once this debt was paid at the end of August , I had a balance of over 750 dollars in my Global account that should have been transferred to my loan balance, its still sitting in that account. I have contacted Americor to no resolve. I regret ever doing business with these people.
Due to covid 19 happned,i lost my job and i cant afford to pay credit card so I found Americor will help me consolidate my credit debt( 1st time in my life). I signed contract w them on 4/6 and they said the status on my credit will be setteled in full and they will wait until the term then they will negotiate with bank. And from then I cant touch anything from my acc cause they will take care. Then it's been few months and acc still did not change so i Talked to them. Then I got a summon from court... I been through alot. And i decided to paid off my debt last month cause i have saving $ after back to woRk. And i found out alL of the acc they took care is "charged off" on my credit report now. It will be 7 years on my credit. By the way, they charged fee is so high and slow action so my credit report is in "charged off " now w all of creditors. So I decide to file complaint and ask them to refund me 50% of the fee they got from me. Please see att files.
I was under a contract to eliminate old debt. To expedite the process, I contributed additional funds on top of the regular withdrawals each month. However, the extra money I put in was quickly consumed by fees, prompting me to cancel my account after securing a bank loan to settle the debt. Despite having a significant sum deposited with them, I was informed that I owed even more than the total amount in my account due to fees from two settled accounts. This experience has led me to believe that the service is fraudulent and should be avoided. I had assumed that the monthly withdrawals from my account, which amounted to $135 over seven months, would cover all the fees and protect my additional contributions. Unfortunately, it became clear that none of the extra funds were safeguarded. I strongly advise against using this company. After the representative who initially signed me up left the company, I was left to renegotiate with creditors on my own. I demand the return of my $943, as I do not believe it is necessary to spend $3,000 just to make a phone call and negotiate debt reduction. I insist on getting my money back.
On 10/14 I contacted the company and requested a payoff quote to settle my remaining debt and close my account. I received an email with a payoff amount of $2800.10. I called the company on 10/18 and scheduled the payment and it was debited from my bank account on 10/19. As of today no action has been taken to pay off my remaining debt nor has my account been updated. They are also still trying to take the automatic payments from my account. I spoke with two representatives who stated the account would be updated and no action has been taken still. As of today I will be stopping the *** payments with my bank.
This company destroyed my credit and any chance I had of buying a home
This company destroyed my credit and any chance I had of buying a home. They lead me to believe that they would help me get out of debt by negotiating settlements to save me money and when itemized they were actually doing the opposite I cancelled the program and asked for my money back that they had in a savings account but instead they used the money to pay a debt after I cancelled so they could take the commission on it. One of the accounts they settled was originally under $3000 and I ended up paying over $6000 because of their fraud they actually cost me money instead of saving me money and ruined my credit in the process I had a 778 score when I started with them and now have a 550 score this company should not be in business they ruin peoples lives and rip them off. I would like all the commissions they made off of my misfortune refunded due to being a very unsatisfied customer and being scammed by them I feel they should not be in business and consumers need to be warned about this shady company. I hope they shut down so they cant ruin anyone elses life and credit ever again.

I sent a prior complaint and only received the response today and found out the complaint is closed. Please note that I have made every attempt to get this settled and now Americor is misleading in the way of stating a settlement letter was sent by oppossing party but in reality it is a legal document asking me to consent to a judgment. I would have never entered into an agreement with Americor to get this matter resolved to improve my credit. A judgment would be a negative remark and I can't believe this company is trying to get me to sign this document. I have declined to sign this as this goes against a favorable decision and I would have never entered into this program with this negative response. They have had two years to settle this account. I have contacted Americor in 2021 to advise them I received a settlement letter from *** in the amount of $6000 to only get a runaround. They have almost $8000 in a dedicated amount. I informed *** an account manager that I will not send them anymore money until I get a proper settlement letter to indicate the account is paid in full.

Americor calls themselves a debt consolidation company but all they do is lie and steal your money
Americor calls themselves a debt consolidation company but all they do is lie and steal your money. I had 2 accounts and they were taking over $640 a month out of my bank and putting into a trust account (RAM). All they do is collect fees between $1000 - $3000. I only had 2 withdrawals and when I canceled, some woman was extremely nasty to me and had the *** to say " Do you think we work for free " . I had almost $1000 in the trust account which they were supposed to wait 3 to 5 days to collect. I tried to withdraw the money for myself and they said it was going all to fees. I then said I would contact their 3rd party trust company (RAM) to get my money and that's when the woman got really nasty with me. I then found out they withdrew the money that same day I called not giving me my 3 - 5 days. The 3rd party trust comy (RAM) also agreed with me and have received multiple complaints about Americor. I am looking to file a lawsuit against the company or a class action lawsuit against the company to get other people's money back. If anyone is interested, ease email me at

Description of Complaint:In June I entered into a 26 month agreement with Americor for settlement of personal debts
Description of Complaint:In June I entered into a 26 month agreement with Americor for settlement of personal debts. My program with Americor ended in July . In Aug *** made an offer to settle my debt. The offer was for $2049 payable in six monthly payments of $349. This was paid off in Feb, 2020. In May I received correspondence from Prosper Marketplace that the amount written off was transferred to ***. In Jun, 2021 *** sent me a collection notice. Both documents were forwarded to Americor. As far as I know, no attempt was made by Americor to contact Prosper Marketplace or ***. Recently *** filed a complaint for me to appear in court regarding this debt. On May 5, 2022, I contacted Americor regarding this notice. I was informed by Americor's representative that there was nothing they could do about this since I was no longer a client. I then requested a refund of the $1086 fee Americor collected for the settlement of the debt with Prosper Marketplace since obviously this debt was not settled. This request was denied.

Americor agreed to negotiate my debt for said amount of money each month to pay down my debts owed
Americor agreed to negotiate my debt for said amount of money each month to pay down my debts owed. Each month I send approximately $1,002.00. I have a savings in my Americor account of $3, 059. My current debts being paid equal $969.11. There is one debt that has not been negotiated to date and the reason given is not enough funds available. The negotiator in May said he was working on the account and would get back with me. Each time I have called I have not been able to reach the negotiator and the representatives who are not negotiators tell me there is not enough money in the account. The amount that in process to be negotiated is about $1,211.00. There is more than enough money to resolve this last debt and someone should call and explain what is going with my account. I do not receive correct responses from the those representatives who are not familiar with the account and I am nearing the end of this arduous process and would like to have my questions concerning this last account, i.e., answered in detailed and in writing. This company is irresponsible and cavalier concerning the vital service they provide. My livelihood is at stake during these covid times.

On Wednesday August 3rd I spoke with representative *** about initiating a contract
On Wednesday August 3rd I spoke with representative *** about initiating a contract. In said contract I was given until August 6th to cancel it if I chose to. I became uncomfortable with the disclaimers in their startup video. She still had me complete account sign up and would said she would call me again on the 6th at noon to speak to me and my mother about what I was uncomfortable about. I never received a call. She claimed she called multiple times after I called her an hour and a half passed our scheduled time. I stated I wanted to cancel, she continued to try to push me further into this service even though I didn't want to. I was then transferred *** (supervisor) who tried the same tactics, and also said that I should be more scared of trying to pay off my debt without them. I continued to express that I was uncomfortable with the disclaimers and wanted to cancel. My mother was on the call with me and he started to argue with her even though she was backing me *** in my expression to cancel. They now have claimed I will get a call Monday August 8th to cancel my contract. I am concerned because they are supposed to withdraw money out of my account on Friday the 12 of august.

I started working with Americor in March
I started working with Americor in March. I had incurred a large amount of credit card debt after the death of my husband. I had a son who ended up with a lot of legal issues after his father passed, I was struggling and I made some bad decisions. So for almost 3 years, (March is coming) I have made my monthly payment, never was late, and I have a remaining debt of $727.09. In Americor I have an account called "dedicated amount" basically a saving for settlements to be paid with. My dedicated amount is at $3829.07. I continue to have the monthly payment withdrawn from my account on the 1st of every month. I try calling and it always says I have reached the after hours line. They are on mountain time and I am on central time. I did get a call yesterday and explained that I should be done, I have enough money to pay things off, I was asked to wait on the line, which I did, we were disconnected and I have yet to receive a call. My account states that there is another account to be paid and I have explained NUMEROUS times, I have sent in all the documents that were asked of me, that account is closed, it does not exist. What is happening here is every month there are service charges and fees, I am just being strung along so they can keep getting these fees from me. This is my account for verification: ***.

In April, I seeked help from Americor to resolve my finances
In April, I seeked help from Americor to resolve my finances. I had 3 creditors on file with them. Since then I have paid $2,743.50 in fees. One creditor was settled in a matter of months though payments are still being made to them. The other creditor has been settled and not expected to be paid off until November 2022. The last creditor has not been paid at all. December, I received a warrant in debt from Discover. I contacted Americor to seek help. They advised me there was nothing that could be done until I add $1600 in my dedicated account so they could start negotiations. A week before my court appearance, they send a letter to present during court offering a settlement of $500. The letter was not allowed in the case however, the attorney did review it. I received a judgement against me for $2,358.79 plus court costs. The original amount owed to Discover when I entered into the program was $1884. It is appalling how they let this creditor accrue interest when I trusted them to help ease my financial burden while still be responsible. My payments are always on time. I need this judgment against me settled and this creditor paid with the money I have paid in fees. As soon as I can pay off the other two creditors, I will. I do not recommend Americor to anyone that is trying to find financial stability. They are just taking your money and paying some but not all.

I have felt this company has lied or falsely represented itself since about 6 months in but I continued with my plan
I have felt this company has lied or falsely represented itself since about 6 months in but I continued with my plan. The program was suppose to be 2 years but they extended it a year once I got to 2 years. I still continued the plan I was almost done. In December I couldn't afford my monthly payment so I made arrangements for a lesser payment. I had around $1800 in my draft account with them at that time. They kept telling me they couldn't pay my settlements if I didn't keep making my draft payments. However I only owed less than $500 on the only settlement they had going so they had plenty of money to pay that settlement. These are all really rough estimates because they have cut off access to how my funds were distributed. Yesterday I got a notice from a collection agency that the last card I had in settlement with americor I owed $1240 for. I had 2 payments left one for $100 and 1 for $132. When u closed my account I said to pay the lump sum amount for this settlement then close out my account. I have the email chat transcript that says this, the agent agreeing to it but apparently it was never done and now they want the remaining balance before the settlement amount. Had I known they did not pay this amount as requested I would have finished out the last 2 payments. I even recieved an email that my final debt was paid off. So I am requesting that Americor be responsible for the remaining balance minus the $232 that was still owed.

I signed up with Americor in February
I signed up with Americor in February . I was told that they would prepare a plan to help get us out of debt. I understood that my credit score would go down, but was told that I would be eligible for a loan in July or August. The loan would pay off the remaining debt and I would continue to pay my agreed monthly payments to Americor until the loan was paid.Last month I was told I wouldnt be eligible for the loan for about 2 more years because I owe too much and the federal guidelines have changed. I also received notice in June from a law agency that one of my accounts had been referred to them. I called Americor and was told that was part of the process and that they would take care of everything when necessary. Now we have received notice that a lawsuit has been filed. Americor now says that there is not enough money in my account to negotiate a settlement, and that I need to respond the the summons and continue to pay Americor. If I want Americor to try to negotiate with the law firm, I need to almost double my monthly payments for the next 9 months.I have not missed a payment with Americor, and these are the same accounts I enrolled at the beginning. It is Americors fault if the money isnt sufficient. The reason I felt safe using Americor is because of the Complaintsboard.com rating. Now I know they will use legal jargon to justify this terrible negligence on their part. I feel betrayed and am angry that I have done as I was asked but am being left to deal with the fallout alone.

I have paid 204$ every month for over a year
I have paid 204$ every month for over a year. Not only have none of my creditors been paid but I was summoned for a lawsuit which I forwarded to Americor and they emailed back that this would be dealt with and resolved and someone from their legal department would contact me. No one has contacted me since that email except a mass forward happy holidays and prepare for tax time emails, My credit is beyond repair, I would have been better to file bankruptcy, but their representative said I wasn't in enough debt for that and they could help. I have now been found in default and I am going to lose my home and everything I own, which isn't much anymore, I am 72 years old. Thank you, Americor for helping ruin me more instead of negotiating the debt relief that you promised. I watched your video of employees playing ping pong and grabbing cash and was hardly able to keep to your script. I need an explanation and my money back. I could have been paying these people this whole time. Who knew you were just another scam for seniors in this country to worry about?! I am so mad and so hurt. Every time I call it's after-hours even though I *** what time it is out there in CA and it's before (their) 6 pm. My children have called and sent emails because I don't email or text and no one will talk to me directly. In the beginning, I had people call me but that was while they were telling me they had made negotiations which they apparently have not since I have court documents to prove it.

I entered in a debt resolution agreement with Americor on February 21
I entered in a debt resolution agreement with Americor on February 21. At that time, Americor advised me to discontinue payments and stop communication with my creditors. I have faithfully paid my monthly draft to my settlement account per my agreement with Americor. I have now been sued by one of my creditors and have been left to defend myself against the lawsuits. In the meantime, to make matters worse, I am in the process of selling my home and this legal action by the creditor has caused a lien to be placed on the property and has delayed the closing on the sale of the property. The title company handling the closing and I cannot get Americor to settle the accounts and provide the payoff statement and fund transfer information. The title company is willing to deposit the funds out of the closing funds from the sale of the home. They are trying to settle these accounts with a monthly payoff draft which in not acceptable. I need the accounts paid in full. I have been asked to up the payments to my settlement account, but I do not have the funds to place in my account until I received the proceeds of the sale and I cannot complete the sale of the home due to the legal issues. I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place! I have been trying to get this settled for over three weeks and fear I am in jeopardy of losing the sale on the property. I have placed numerous phone calls and emails, but rarely get any kind of response from them or explanation on how we are going to resolve this matter. I feel stuck and completely scammed by this company. I would never recommend using Americor.

I was hospitalized in October and missed two payments
I was hospitalized in October and missed two payments. There were adequate funds in the account to make payments to the creditors and I just had to make up the balance. I called on countless occasions and setup payments and had funds available in the bank account. Unfortunately, when I changed my bank account they never changed the bank name. Even though funds were available they were not withdrawn. As I kept in touch to figure out the missed payments, not once did that get brought up that the payments were not being withdrawn. I was under the impression everything was back on track until they cancelled my account after only two payments remaining and I feel they have stolen nearly $13,000 from me. I called back within a few weeks and spoke to *** and made ALL the necessary payments. She said that I would be able to reinstate my plans. Now they are trying to settle again at the original balances completely ripping me off. Their actions prove they are just about collecting their fee and not helping the customer. They recently contacted me on 3/9/22 and said. "We heard you wanted to cancel your account." Basically trying to push me out the door, when i explained the situation they said we will call you back in 45 minutes. Still no answer. I have included screenshots of payments as well as our email chain. The email chain asks them to keep making payments to the creditors and it was just ignored, forcing my settlements to go into default. What they did was grossly negligent and borderline criminal. I will also be filing a fraud report with the *** due to their negligence.

I sought a consolidation loan, made my intentions clear, but the agent pursued a relief loan instead.
I sought a consolidation loan, emphasizing my need to the agent. He seemed to understand I wasn't after a relief loan. My cards were maxed due to COVID, yet I maintained a perfect payment record for seven years. He advised me to halt payments, promising to handle them. Trusting his advice, I stopped payments, only to find my credit report marred with closed accounts and late payments. One card, held for 22 years, was also closed. I confronted the agent; he suggested a relief loan was preferable. Frustrated, I hung up. Later, I terminated my account with them and received a refund. Subsequent loan applications were denied due to my tarnished credit. Multiple calls to the company led to transfers and disconnections. When I finally reached a manager without mentioning my complaint, I was informed that since I canceled their service, they couldn't assist me. Their actions have plunged me into financial hardship, decimating my credit score and erasing my payment history. The card companies couldn't reopen my closed accounts. The company was indifferent to my plight, offering no help. I was treated poorly, and the stress has been overwhelming. This is an unacceptable way to conduct business. The company's negligence harmed my credit, my loan prospects, and their integrity is in question as they failed to address the issue.

We signed on with Americor for credit card debt relief in July
We signed on with Americor for credit card debt relief in July . A large part of the reason that we went with them was because of their significant settlement averages. Their website states, "Some creditors may settle high, and some may settle low. However, on average, we can settle your total debt by approximately 35-45% of the original amount owed." Conversely, our actual debt settlements are averaging ***%.The difference between their advertised average of ~40% and our actual average of ***% equates to a 56% increase. In my estimation, a >50% cost increase over advertised figures is grossly deceptive.I believe that Americor is knowingly and intentionally misleading prospective clients, gratuitously costing their clients countless dollars. I have several questions; How do they calculate their printed settlement averages? How is Americor held to account for missing their printed averages and service terms in such a glaring fashion? Are there legal avenues for consumers to take in case there are no protections in place for their clients?I can only assume that Americor incentivizes its negotiators to get quick settlements that benefit the negotiator and Americor over their commitment to the clients. Here are some details about our Debt Resolution Agreement with Americor;Signed on July 6 Total estimated savings by hiring Americor Financial - $20,693.90 Total monthly payment - $871.15 Estimated program length 48 months Here are some current details for our account (***) with Americor;New estimated savings - $10,520 (Nearly half of the *** estimate)Current monthly payment - $1,280 (Nearly 50% higher than the *** estimate)Program time left 13 months I've had a lengthy discussion with Americor's Customer Support. Their response boiled down to this. "I understand where you're coming from but our negotiators only settle with your best interest in mind."That response is void of responsibility.Thank you for your attention on this matter.

13 months ago, I enrolled 6 accounts with Americor, with hopes that I would be able to regain control over my finances
13 months ago, I enrolled 6 accounts with Americor, with hopes that I would be able to regain control over my finances. So far two accounts were settled, and being paid on. To enroll, none of the accounts could be 3 months past due in payments. I contacted Americor when a few days were needed in between payment, and they they were able to hold the payment from processing. The last time I needed a day or two between the scheduled date, I called in and was told the payment would not process until my requested date. I was then told they already started processing, so what I could do is call my bank and request a stop payment, and the payment would process on my requested date. I did as advised, and did not think anymore action was required on my part. I continued to receive text alerts saying my monthly payments would be processed, and thought all was well. I went into my Americor account on line a couple of weeks ago, and saw I had pending payments. I didn't understand why, and checked my bank. That's when I saw the payments weren't being taken out. I didn't notice this because I had been doing a significant amount of saving. I called Americor and that's when I learned my account was canceled. Americor advised several calls and texts were made, but I only received texts stating when my payments would process. And when you enroll in the program they advise you to ignore calls from creditors, so my phone was set to spam unknown calls. This is why i called into *** asked that they reset my text alerts because I stopped receiving them at one point. I did however find emails that were directed to spam after calling and finding out the account was canceled. From a consumer standpoint, the App shows I'm active. Now I'm being told I would need to re-enroll. This would require me to bring 4 of the accounts within three months. The accounts are 13 months past. That's not a reasonable/feasible ask, and it will defeat the progress already made

I signed up for Americor made two payments, after having my creditors constantly calling me I started paying little by little to each one myself.Contacted Americor for a refund Friday June 17th still have not received my refund
The starting Date; March 6-present The amount of money that I paid the business- $12,720.44 The business was committed to provide me with help my financial debts. The dispute was to pay them to help me with my debt which they did not provide. No they did not resolve my problem took my money anyway all through years. I have been receiving letters from my collectors to pay. I don't know what to do. I do speak Spanish and would like to talk with someone
In November I reached out to Americor, thinking they would help lower a personal loan. I have been paying them to help me with a personal loan and a credit card. Liberty lending, which is now Reach Financial was the main bulk of money owed. In the meantime, my credit score has plummeted. Americor told me they would start negotiations once the account was delinquent. I was led to believe that the money I was paying Americor would be applied to the settlement amount. What Im realizing is, Americor is keeping the money Ive paid them, and claiming they reached a settlement. My fee is the amount Ive paid them. They have not helped me. They have caused my credit score to drop from November -July 2022. All I have done is pay them for my credit score to plummet. Americor is linked with ***, who offered me a loan with 18% interest. The total amount is the original amount of my initial personal loan. What do I do at this point?
Three years ago, I began a debt consolidation process with Americor. Initially, I was under the impression that it was a loan, but it turned out to be a for-profit consolidation service. I deposited money into an account, and they would settle my debts as the funds became sufficient. In hindsight, I should have conducted more thorough research on Americor, but I proceeded without doing so.
Fast forward to the present, on July 26th, I paid Americor the full amount they quoted to settle my account. However, on August 5th, I was surprised to receive a notice from my bank indicating that Americor had withdrawn $275.23 from my account, which was unexpected since my account had been paid off. When I contacted Americor about this issue, they informed me that I would have to wait 5-7 business days to receive a refund for the funds that were incorrectly taken. I believe this practice is unjust. Consequently, I am filing a complaint with both the consumer protection agency and the regulatory authority in Washington state for the unauthorized withdrawal of funds.
