On December 26, we were at our residence when the delivery man delivered propane. Whe leaving the driver backed into our handicap ramp breaking a support post from the landing and breaking the railing. Driver was apologetic and indicated he called in to the company to make a report and that we should hear from an insurance adjuster that would come [censored] the damage. We waited two weeks. No follow up. I called the company and was on the phone for over an hour and was passed around to different technicians. The call was then dropped. Call number two lasted 30 minutes and I finally learned from a technician that the driver needed to submit a written report to start the process and this had not yet occurred. So we lost two weeks to learn nothing had happened to get some type of action. We were assured that the reports was made that day and we should hear from an insurance adjuster within 5 to 7 business days. Since that time on two other occasions I’ve spent nearly an hour each time trying to get someone to review the notes to determine progress, was given assurance that something was soon happen. It’s been over a month and two weeks and we’ve heard nothing.
Claimed loss: We have not repaired the deck so we are just now looking into a quote because we wrongly believed the company would follow through. We are expecting several hundred to repair.
Desired outcome: Our desire as been that the company would resolve covering cost for damages they did and that would communicate.
