We have been using amerigas for home propane for 3 years with no problems.Normally we have thewm deliver when out propane tank is reading near 0%.They never have given us more than 190 gallons. Now all of a sudden they have this driver that whenever he is in the office he will interrupt the very polite man that has been helping us all along, and tell us he wont deliver less then 200 gallons. So we pay for 200 gallons they deliver 180-190 and the remainder just vanishes. If the driver is not in the office then we have no problem but as they have become less busy due to poor costumer service it has become rare for him not to be there. As long as they employ there driver DO NOT USE AMERIGAS IN BILLINGS MONTANA FOR ANYTHING!
Delivery /Customer Service
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR PROPANE GAS SERVICES AT HOME. The corporate office is often embarrased when they hear how their local offices transact business and treat their customers. Particularly, the Wyandanch office. Even the poor drivers who delivery the gas, must get an earful from each customer as the last 5 or 6 drivers we had said "We know the office staff is so unprofessional and we are treated the same way you are." I called on 12/17/09 for a gas delivery and was about to run out of gas and expressed that I thought it was too soon for me to be out of gas. They said delivery would be approximately on 12/24/09. I called three times on Christmas Eve becauase 1) we were totally out of gas and 2) it was a holiday and I was having company and NEEDED GAS! They confirmed with a driver on all three calls that it would be late in the day and I may be the last delivery but I would get gas today (12/24/09). THEY NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED UNTIL 12/28/2009. I called their corporate office and they were very professional but said the local office had closed and unless I had a gas leak there was nothing they could do. We went through the entire holiday week with no use of our stove or oven and had to cancel dinner at our own home. With alot of yelling and no satisfaction, we got our delivery on 12/28/09. I then ran out of gas again 3/15/10 and told them there must be a problem that their delivery should have last at least 6 months not 2.5 months. I eventually ran out of gas again and they came to check for a leak and said there was no leak and I was given a date 9 days in advance for a gas delivery and needless to say, they did not show or call. When I inquired a day after the expected delivery date, they said you did not pay your bill for the new delivery. I said "how do I know that number by osmosis? Will you bill me and will someone say something on the phone because it was never mentioned on at least 4 phone calls".
Not ONCE EVER did anyone say you must pay in advance. I have been with this company for 9 years and they always billed me and always thought they their customer service sucked but never to this level. The drivers are great.
I spent an hour on the phone with their corporate customer service to see why they said now they need pay in advance and why I am running out so soon. The representative said "This account is a mess, it looks like you were always getting 2 full tanks a year and that they stopped delivering 2 tanks almost 2 years ago but may have charged you for 2 and in fact, it does not look like the last 2 deliveries were NOT full delivery's, which would explain why you are running out of gas." She suggested I ask for the last 5 years of all my orders because she said "something is seriously not right and you need to bring it to their attention and I will do the same at the corporate level."
In order to leave them it will cost me several hundred dollars which I can not afford at this time and a few hundred more to join another company. In the meantime, another company was happy to fill up their tanks for now and reconfirmed no gas leak in the hopes to get my new business and that they will.
AMERIGAS IN WYANDANCH has the worst customer service and gas service of any company I have ever dealt with for home services.

I was told I had a return check but the bank statements don`t show that, I rent A tank for more than $100.00 year, and no late charges on the tank, but every month I get bill for later charges. what to do with this.
I am also having trouble with them i am a new customer with them and they r charging twice as much as all the other propane provider but because i have there tank we r told to put up with it i had 459.90 credit on my account and they wont deliever until i paid another 5.65 cents with my debit then i can have a TICKET printed out and gas delivered 10-14 days later 465.55 cents to get 200 gallons of propane that is almost my whole check since i am disabled and on social security it is funny the goverment cant put a stop on how much they can charge for propane i mean come on twice that amount of 4 other area providers what can we do signed cold and worried

Screwed up my front lawn
They brought one man to replace the old tanks, which I asked several times over in my three years, after I complained they were happy to help. The driver got stuck on my front lawn causing damage to my decorative island.I called the office saying we need to get a two truck over here to pull him out. I was told he needed to call to request a truck because it "hundreds of dollars" Meanwhile, my lawn is looking worse because he tried like *** to get it out.The office called and they are sending a tow truck! WTF? I told them that!

Customer Relations
I have been a paying (never paid bill late) customer of Amerigas for many years and I am surprised at the way they handle their customer service in these tough times however there aren't many other propane compaies in the area to choose from so I guess that is why they treat their customers with absolutely no respect . My tank has below 40% full for over 3...

Been a customer since september 09. Was supposed to get an introductory fill up rate of 1.89 a gallon for being a new customer. When we received the bill it was for the full amount! Called stroudsburg location and asked for a new invoice for the 1.89 amount that i was supposed to been given. Was told a new invoice would be mailed to us! after 3 weeks of nothing in the mail, i called and was told that they do NOT resend invoices! After all was said and done i DID get the rate reduced but not without a hassle.
Called on january 7th for a fill up. tank was at 30% when i called. A WEEK later they finally came to fill on 1-14-09. Tank was then at 20%. The bill was expected to be a lot. We counted on this and paid it. 2 weeks later they came AGAIN and topped it of on jan 28th! This delivery was NEVER authorized by me and was not expected! Now we have another bill and did not have money to pay for it at the moment! I never agreed for automatic delivery! But when i called the stroudsburg location, they told me i WAS signed up for it and that she was SUPRISED the they came to fill it since we were not even below 60% volume! She then proceeded to tell my wife that she had no record of me even calling to ask for a fill up in early january! I would NOT recommend amerigas to anyone! We will be looking into removing the tank and canceling the service! Not happy at all with service and getting made out to look and feel like an idiot!

Thieves
Amerigas charged me $150.00 fee for running out of gas. Sometime during the year they put me on "Will Call" because they said that my gas usage is not consistent and they did not want to be responsible for me running out of gas. Well since they put me on will call I have ran out of gas twice. I have asked them for a bigger tank and they said "No, you don't use enough gas." I asked them for a gauge and again they said "No, because they only come on larger tanks". So not knowing how much gas I have I ran out obviously. So I call them to tell them I ran out of gas and they immediately told me it was no problem to send a truck out but that I had to pay the $150.00 fee for a leak test and to pull a driver off of his regular route, AND they wanted me to go to them and pay that fee in advance. Just for the record that $150.00 fee is more than they charge me for filling my tank. Hence, I am shopping for a new gas company. Lastly, I was a customer of Conservative Gas for 30 years before Amerigas took them over, and I have never ever ran out of gas until Amerigas came to town. I am appalled that such thievery is allowed.

I have had the same exact problem as you have had and really want people to know that this is NOT the company to do business with or to work for because they teach you how to be rude and nasty!
$1.00 a gallon higher than Local Companies
Amerigas billing is in cubic feet to hide the real HIGH cost of their Propane.
After you convert cubic feet to gallons, then you find the real price.
I have been with 4 different propane company's. All but Amerigas give you the price per Gallons. After converting my bill to gallons. I have found that Amerigas is .90 to 1.00 a gallon higher than any other Propane company in my Area. I will be looking for another local company.

Scam
We have been Amerigas customers for years. We have gas heat, cooking and water heater. We can no longer afford to use the heat since my husband became disabled, therefore our usage has gone down to about 200 gallons a year and since we use less than 300 gals. they say they have to charge us 80 cents more per gallon. What would they do if they went to the gas station & only bought 10 gallons & were told their price would be more per gallon than if they had bought 20 gallons.
This is unfair to charge depending on the amount you use. What about conserving to cut down on this so called global warming.

Rip off
They did not offer me a pre buy this year @2.08 per gallon and then never filled my tank until I called when it got to 20%. Then they told me it was $3.79 per gallon. I argued with the driver and he did lower it to 2.75. This area is well below the poverty level WITH A UNEMPLOYMENT RATE of about 20%. The driver told me several have converted to electric and that is what I am in the process of doing ASAP. Everyone is looking for reliefe but we are in a area without competition.

Poor customer service
Ameragas skipped my delivery area and leaving me without any gas for the coming week due to the weather and that I live in an area with dirt roads. I informed them that there were two other companies doing deliveries in my area that day since I saw them drive past my house. They stated that they missed a lot of deliveries that day due to the weather and they will be out there on their next scheduled date. I was given the option to pay $170 to have the driver come out there today and fill my tank. They were told no thank you, my account was canceled, and I went with a new company that has a BBB rating of A+, is a member of ethicalaz, and has much better prices for gas, tank rental, will make up any missed deliveries if any happen and will not want to charge you to make up for their missed deliveries.

Being new to the use of propane and forgetting to check the level, I unfortunately let my tank get down to zero percent in the middle of winter with three small children in my home. When I spoke with an employee of the company, he advised that there was a $200 expidition fee to get someone out the NEXT day plus a $95.00 feeto check things because I let it get down to zero percent. Then they mention the price per gallon! When he advised that it would cost me over $1, 000.00 to fill my tank I was speachless! Now mind you, I called the company at approx. 8:00am thinking they would be out to fill my tank that day, especially with that &200 rush fee! But no, it was to be delivered the next day. Now when I asked what time, he advised between 8-4 and could not be more specific and advised that someone NEEDED to be home during that time frame. I asked for someone to call me when they were enroute and they advised they would, but that is was not guarenteed. I stressed to them over and over to pleae give me a courtesy call because I work. So, after freezing that night and not being able to use hot water, I went to work and waited for their call. I decided to go home for lunch that day and when I arrived at noon, saw a note on my door from Amerigas. It stated that they had filled my tank, but LOCKED IT OFF because nobody was home. I immediately called the company and advised that I never received a call and asked for the driver to return that day to unlock it. The employee advised me that they WOULD NOT RETURN THAT DAY and that I needed to wait until the next business day and gave me a four hour time frame. They again stated that someone had to be home. I advised that I needed to work and to have the driver or dispatch call me when they were enroute. Employee advised that they MAY call but that it was not general procedure. I spoke with supervisor after supervisor asking for some assistance with the issue. Each person I spoke with was rude, inconsiderate and blamed me for the mess because I let the tank get down to zero percent. They refused to credit me for the expidition fee, refused to send the driver back to my home to unlock it, refused to give me a smallertime frame the next day, refused to call ahead with a courtesy call and were not at all concerned that my three little ones were freezing and had no hot water. So, with no other choice, I decided to call off of work the next day and sit and wait for them to return. Again, another nite of freezing temps plus a day without pay. At approx. 9:00am I miracuously received a call from the driver advising me that he would be there within 30 minutes! When I asked why he didnt call me the previous day when he was here filling it, he advised that it was not on the paperwork to call. Boy, was I upset. This entire thing cost me over $1300.00! Plus, I was treated so poorly by employees and supervisors. I will NEVER use Amerigas again nor recommend them to ANYONE! They have extremely poor customer service and ridiculously high prices with outragious fees!
I have been with Amerigas for at least ten years. Mainly because they make it such a pain to switch that I just put up with them. I use gas for cooking, hot water and the clothes dryer. My last delivery was in March. On Aug. 26 I ordered gas and told them that I was very low. I was scheduled for a delivery on Sept. 1. I was in and out all day and by evening I realized that I had not gotten my delivery.
I called Amerigas the next morning and spoke to a very nice young women who told me that the driver had been out the previous day but was unable to make a delivery because the tank needed updating. I had no idea what she was talking about. She explained that the tank apparently needed some type of maintenance and could not be filled until it had been done.
This tank belongs to Amerigas. At no time did I receive any kind of notice saying that it required any maintenance. When I received my last delivery in March no one said to me that in July your tank will require maintenance before it can be filled again. No one from Amerigas contacted to me at any time. Isn’t Amerigas responsible for the maintenance of it’s own equipment in a manner that does not disrupt their customers service? Don’t they maintain service records that warns them well in advance that their tanks need service? Aren’t their drivers at least instructed to check and report on the maintenance and condition of their equipment before it reaches a critical stage?
Truthfully, I am disappointed but not surprised by this. This is just the latest example of how Amerigas shows such disdain for its customers.
Amerigas.. the worst service around! We are working on getting rid of them right now.

I understand exactly what you're saying! I worked for AmeriGas several years ago and their attitude toward their customers has not changed. I have a 500 gallon tank at my house, was a "budget" customer, was never late with my bill and they let me run out several times. The last time I had my diabetic, invalid daughter living in my house with two small children. It ran out in the middle of the night in freezing tempertures. Needless to say, I canceled my account and changed companies. I found out from a truck driver that the girls in the office never put a "fill ticket" in for me! Just recently the owner of my "new" gas company became ill and sold his business to AMERIGAS! Guess what? Just as soon as my tank is empty!
Disgusted in Virginia
When they told you the tank needed updating, did they tell you when it would be done? You said you were low- HOW LOW? If you were at 10%, realize that it took you 6 months to go from 80% (a tank is only filled to 80%) to 10%, so if that's the case, you have about a months worth of gas still in the tank. I have a feeling that they might have told you when the tank would be updated, but you didn't like the schedule. If you feel you need better service, ask for the manager. If you can't get satisfaction from the manager, ask for the regional managers phone. Or contact the home office.
I feel your pain. Amerigas is terrible. Who is the new company you went with, if you don't mind? I want to leave them hanging like they did to my family over christmas week.
Thanks
price-gouging
I have just had an experience with Amerigas that I think everyone should know about. Our local company charges $3.10/ 9/10 per gallon for LP gas, but when you call them to ask the price, they tell you that it is $1.79 per gallon. When ask about the extra you have to pay, they say that it is to cover repairs, insurance, etc. in case you have any leaks and...

After 6 years of being a customer to Amerigas, never late on paying, we asked why the price of gas they charged us was $1.20 per gallon more than their quoted price, and we were told that the extra money was to cover the expense if we ever had a leak or anything and that they would be there 24/7.We developed a leak that they said was in the line and they wanted to charge us a huge amount to fix it.When I reminded them of what they said, the girl working in that office practically called my husband and I a liar. We told them to come and get their tank out of our yard. Before they came, we had the leaks checked and it was coming from their tank, not the line at all. We went with another company who stands by all of their equipment and we are getting our fuel at $1.15 less per gallon. So I guess they did us a favor and saved us a lot of money.

I am not sure where to go to for some help on investigating a company that I feel may have some interesting and criminal billing techniques. I ran out of propane for cooking in my home. I called amerigas in Palmer and they have a woman there (Terry) that is extremely rude and condescending. They never offered to sen a man out for an extra charge (which I would have paid) and told me that they would call the morning of the delivery to let me know that they were coming. I told them that was unacceptable so she said they would call Monday (5 days later) to tell me the day they would be in my area. Who does business this way? I had to eat out for a week or cook in my microwave.
They made me wait a full week for propane!
They are the rudest company I have ever dealt with and it happens every time I call.

Nothing has changed at Amerigas I am still waiting for propane from a Depot in Monroe Ohio ...which is only 10.3 miles from my house. I have called 3 times to get a of delivery date in a few days well that few days is 8 days ...I saw one of their trucks past by my house yesterday...I will tell everyone I know about the terrible service and how they keep putting you off. Buyer Beware...Please check with the Better Business Bureau on the Southern Ohio BBB site. I will be filing a complaint with them tomorrow...01/05/2010.

I have always paid my gas bill in 2 parts and did not mind the late fee I was charged. I received a call from the AmeriGas office in Sierra Vista and the lady offered to set me up on a payment plan to avoid late fees. I did not care either way so I agreed . Each month I submitted the payment that we had agreed on . I was never late. Then one day I was out...

I PAID FOR EXPEDITED DELIVERY AND NO ONE SHOWED UP. I already paid $441 for the propane but paid an additional 300 for faster delivery(suppose to be 24hrs).
Account: ending in 7845; account in Larry Wayne Beaver; Representative's broken English makes it hard to understand. Do not like speaking with a representative that may be in another country. Why offer a "local" number that is transferred to someone else in another part of the world.
6633 Castlewood in Carroll has been waiting for months for tank to be emptied and removed. Can we expect this to happen? I understand we can file charges for leaving trash in our yard.
We no longer use ameriGas. We need it gone to start a building project.
You don’t return calls. Your left hand doesn’t know what your right hand is doing?
You need to hire English speaking phone reps. Very pissed off at this point. This is absolutely ridiculous.
On August 17, 2023, if I go to the website for a quote it says $2.129/gal. When I request delivery online the price per gal. is $3.609 -- a 59% difference. I would have to say that's price gouging.

Request Propane gas under contract.
Called company yesterday afternoon, requested emergency delivery. It never came.
Propane tank is completely empty.
Can't be reached., no matter what contact number their website gives during normal business hours.
I paid $971 for $300 in gas and I cannot get it delivered because there’s a $36 late fee on my account I have talked to numerous people I have never paid rent to Gelbach Gas. I’ve had those tanks for 22 years. AmeriGas bought the company and all of a sudden it started charging me rental fees.
Ran out of propane on 12/14/22. I am on auto delivery had to cal them for a delivery. Why do I have to pay for the propane leak check that’s why I got auto delivery. I paid the bill. I don’t think it’s fair they charged me for the check
Amerigas bought geldbach propane & fuel oil supplier in valley park , mo. They fired all of the office girls and the delivery drivers ! they turned that location into a satellite station where replacement drivers go to refill delivery trucks only !
my complaint with amerigas is/was , i called them in november 2021 and told them that i only had 5% fuel remaining in my tank , and i was supposedly on "keep-full" service !
every time i called pr'obably 5 times in two months i had to speak w/phillipines or india operators/amerigas represantatives !
i do not like speaking w/those people because they speak like they have a mouth full of "b"'s ! they make it hard for seniors that are hard of hearing to understand them !
getting back to my delivery, it was delivered in january 5 , 2022 . And the cost was $4.59 p/gal. My bill was 1022.00+ !
i knew then that amerigas was price gouging me "double" , and other customers , when i called other propane suppliers and $2.39 was average price in the area !
i knew then that i was going to change suppliers , and get rid of "amerigas"
in march an amerigas driver shows up to refill my tank , and i refused the refill , and told the driver then , that i was changing suppliers , and i put a padlock on the lid of the tank , in the event that another driver would try to refill me @ $4,59/gal ,
i had the new supplier replace the amerigas tank in sept, 2022 , w/their tank.
The old tank was left in my front yard , so i called amerigas, and got a philipine operator and immediately told them that the tank was available to be picked up !
the tank has been in my yard about 90 days , and i have received a tank rental bill for $135,79 ,
i called amerigas today , and immediately got a philipine operator . I made about 5 calls ,trying to get someone in the u.S.A. I found a # that works in the u.S.A you get the corporate # [protected] . And you can speak w/a person that understands and reacts to your comments !
i had to call corporate # 3 times . The first time i explained to the operator that i had a tank that neede to be picked up and it was in my yard for 90+ days . She said she would transfer me to someone that could take care of it for me , and i was put on hold !
next thing i know , i'm speaking w/a philipine operator ! i hung up.
I called the 866 # again , spoke w/another corporate operator , she transferred me to a customer representative , and i told her i did not want to go overseas , and i wantedto talk to someone in her office .
I did get someone in corporate to talk to , and i tried to explain my situation w/the tank, and either she disconnected me or hung- up .
So now i'm making call #3 still trying to get this tank picked up !
third call 866# again , i get another person that i explain the situation to , and she transfers me to another person , and i explain everything thus far that is in this blog , and he says ,"sir", your tank rental has been forgiven , and i will put in an order to have our tank picked up !
wow , i guess that the philipine representative never completed the "removal" order when i called 90+ days ago .
So , in closing i am relieved that i do not have to do business w/amerigas any longer , and i feel like they do not care for or appreciate my business , and all they are in business for is profit , profit ,profit !
do not do business with "amerigas" !
Terrible company
I have been a loyal customer of Amerigas for almost 3 years. Yesterday, I came home to find my gas turned off and a note in my door stating that gas tanks were locked because no one was home to sign the lease. I first thought that there was an unpaid balance on my account. When I contacted Amerigas, I was told that there there was $0. balance, but my tanks were locked because there was no signed lease in my records. I was then told that there would be a charge of $109.00 test my gas lines. (A requirement to have the gas turned back on).
After speaking to a 'manager'. I was told that they would waived the fee. However, the earliest that the gas would be unlocked would be Friday between 12-4PM. This I considered unacceptable. Without any notification, Amerigas locked my gas tank because somewhere (as I was informed), someone in one of their departments failed to document the leases, and I am among hundreds of accounts that fell through the cracks. They are in the process of locking any gas tanks without signed leases.
I am now stuck with 200 gallons of gas (fully paid for) that I cannot use until Amerigas comes to unlock the tanks on Friday (4days). If I agree to pay this $109 - surcharge to test my lines, they could have the service restored earlier.
This is unreasonable and I don't understand how a company can get away with penalizing a loyal customer for something that their employees failed to do over 2yrs ago.

My son, a disabled veteran has contacted Amergas several times to have his tank removed because of outlandish charges. I help him keep his bills current and he has decided to switch to a company that has customer service that does not exist. He just got a bill for 30 bucks late fee which is really gouging. He is using space electric heaters rather than buy propane from this poorly run company.
I want to have my underground propane tank removed. I am facing 200 rental fee and the late fees are building. I have no intention of paying them, I have no contract. I will cost 400 to remove the tank. I had a seriously bad situation where my gas was 'locked off' for not paying a bill on time, when it was their online system that failed. It was the remaining 450 on a 900 gas bill. So some of the gas the locked me out of was my own. No phone call, no notice. no heat nor hot water in the WINTER. And to get it reconnected, 115. They have you by the balls.
I would switch 5 gallon tanks one a week for the rest of my life (and I am young) rather than pay them.
I think this industry is due for some regulation. THOUGHTS? Anyone ever win besides them?

They pride themselves with providing their customers with the highest level of customer service, well if all these complaints represent the best Amerigas can do, then they should not be in business.
this company should be ashamed of itself the way it does buisness, im still waiting for them to get my tank after i cancelled their service after they bought my local company out. now they just sent me a $185 rental fee bill! you gotta be kidding me!, the dam tank is still here and they are sending me bills for it after i told them to pick it up ! i am just gonna switch to another local supplier. im not paying their EXTORTION bills! F*** THEM! 10 - 15 - 10
If you have or are considering purchasing propane gas from the Amerigas company! STOP, RUN AWAY!
You will be mis-billed, told misinformation, charged outrageous rates far beyond other companies rates, they will deliver gas when you do not want it and wont deliver when you do want it.
They will deliver when rates are high. Your bill will almost never be correct and you will spend hours on the phone getting it corrected. The lock in rate now is $1.89 12/04/2009, 4 other companies lock in at $1.49.
They will lock you in until March and then deliver gas in April at 2.40 and bill you. If you are on even billing they will raise your monthly rate to make up for the difference in your estimated gas use and the gas they just filled at a higher rate when you don't need it.
This company is a predator that preys on the American public. If you want to terminate your contract you will be hit with pumping fees and tank removal fees that are high enough to discourage you from switching to a better supplier.
I have spoken to many Amerigas customers in my area of OHIO who have had the same experience and have switched at their own expence.
RUN RUN RUN! DO NOT LOOK BACK!
Fraudulent Tank Fill and Overcharge
I am yet another victim of Amerigas fraudulently charging customers. In short, they charged me for propane I didn't actually receive. I was 25% full on a 500 gallon tank and was 85% full after they filled it per the gauge. I was billed for 70% fuel. They claimed to have filled the tank to 95% because of the cold temperature and stated my gauge might not reflect this. I have never had a problem with my gauge, but that was their excuse. The meter ticket had the wrong customer information on it to boot, which they also said happens from time to time. Amerigas would not make good in the matter. They are outright cons, and are the highest priced fuel company around additionally. Once my tank is empty I will have them remove it, and I would like to forewarn others of their fraudulent practices so they aren't similarly victimized. Now I see on the news that they have even been shorting 20lb grill gas bottles. Steer clear of this company.

I have worked in the LP gas Ind for more than twenty years.
And have worked for the majors like Great plains gas, National Propane, Witch was bought out by Columbia Propane, Witch was bought out by Amerigas, (don't work for them any more) And living in northern MI, Were in the winter we can have weeks on end with temps below zero deg. We NEVER fill our tank to more than85%. In the winter, And never more than 80% in the summer, If you fill a tank to 95% you are just asking for trouble, If the gauge on that tank is off by five percent, The driver just filled it liquid full, That was pure and simple driver error! Tanks should always be filled using the spitter/liquid level gauge on the service valve, Not by the percent gauge.
Refund
I have recently decided to change propane supplyers. We have amerigas and I have always felt they were over charging us. My research shows that they charge at least one dollar more per gallon if not more than other LPG supplyers in my area. They are rude on the phone and act like they are the only one to get LPG from. Its take it or leave it. IT took a couple of years but now my most better half agrees with me. Now amerigas refuses to refund our credit of $33.00. I am disabled but that does not matter to them.

overcharging the public
I had switched to AmeriGas in the end of October 2008, I got my 250 gallon tank around the 7th of November. When I called to get it filled, the office lady told me that it would be about $560.00 since I was getting a new customer $1.999 a gallon first fill special. I was shocked at the amount.I asked her how she came up with that price, she then told me that...

I kept receiving a bill and obnoxious e-mails telling me I was past due for 215.99 dollars when everything was already paid!Amerigas had no rational explanation. I waited over 2 years for a guy to paint my nasty propane tank that looks like it came from World War 2. I finally had to speak to a manager to get it painted. It cost me 180 dollars for a guy to come out and say that my propane level was low! Every time I get a bill, the cost of propane is nearly double the amount I had agreed upon prior to filling my tank. There are other better propane providers in the area, and they will be getting my service ASAP.
My husband paid for a propane gas tank delivery in the Amerigas office on August 20th. He was told the delivery would be made on Thursday, August 26th. We were away until Saturday, August 28th. Returned home and no delivery had been made. Called to complain over the weekend and told that for an additional charge we could get weekend delivery. Called on Monday, August 30th. Was told delivery would be made first thing Tuesday morning, August 31st. It is now almost the end of the business day on August 31st. Still no propane gas delivery. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
