Apple Tree Honda Apple Tree Honda charged me to replace my air conditioning unit in my Honda CRV 2 years ago

Apple Tree Honda charged me to replace my air conditioning unit in my Honda CRV 2 years ago. It failed this year and I took it to another certified Honda mechanic because I now live 4 1/2 hours away. This mechanic said the reason the AC failed is because Honda didn't include the AC kit needed for the compressor to work right. This mechanic offered to talk to Apple Tree Honda to resolve the issue, but Apple Tree Honda refused to call them back. They won't return my calls. When I spoke to the service manager, he talked over me on the phone and kept saying warranty issues aren't covered after a year. This isn't a warranty issue. These people didn't include the necessary parts for the AC to work right, but they still charged me for it. I filed a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. I've posted everywhere I can. My complaint included the new mechanic's statement and info about how long a car's AC should last (8 to 10 years). I've been driving all summer in 95° weather without AC because Apple Tree Honda won't even return my calls, not even the general manager. I'm absolutely appalled because this is why people buy Honda certified vehicles and go to Honda certified mechanics. If they don't fix this, I'll get a lawyer, seek damages, court costs, and legal fees, and I'll go to the news and radio stations too. V/R, Dr. ***, PhD Psychology, Forensic Specialization

Apple Tree Honda I bought a car from them only to have the check engine light come on immediately after we take it off their lot

I bought a car from them only to have the check engine light come on immediately after we take it off their lot. This did not happen during the test drive, I found it fishy that this would happen and it was not disclosed with me that there was a problem. Under the car fax, everything checked out. I called them that same night and the only answer I got was "oh, it passed inspection last month so it's probably nothing, we can turn off the check engine light for you." That being said, it was far from just a light problem. The car started to stall. I took it to *** to have the engine light checked and they gave me one code, it was about either a spark plug or a coil issue. Okay, no big deal, right? So, I taken it back to Apple Tree to have them look at it and repair, well, they decided to do their own check and gave me five more codes. What the heck? So, it took them a couple weeks and sent it to someone else to have it looked at. Which they would do a "free" full diagnostic for me. When the results came back a few days later, they said it was a wiring issue in the gas pedal. Which would cost me $1,010 to fix. That didn't make sense to me. So, I went to discuss with them about the problem and all they kept doing was shrug it off and told me I should have bought the warranty. They tried to argue with me that it is impossible to just "turn off the check engine light" too. Which is a flat out lie. I tried to get a hold of the owner about this and I was told that the "free" full diagnostic was "the extent of their kindness." I decided to take it to the same mechanic they sent my car to and talked to them instead about the issue. Turns out the actual price to fix my car was $548 and $848 IF they had to reconfigure the computer in the car. That is almost HALF of what Apple Tree was trying to charge me for. I was also told the "free" full diagnostic was $130, well guess what, if you add all that together you get roughly $1,000. Yeah, I knew that they were trying to sneak that into my bill. Unfortunately, it does not end there. I left my car there because it wasn't able to do what it is suppose to do. It did not feel safe driving this car. After a few days of thinking of what to do with it, I decided to take it back to the same mechanic they took it too and have it fixed with them. A week later, they replaced the wiring, but found out that wasn't the issue. The issue was the throttle body, which they would have to replace altogether... Which would cost me $1,400. What the heck did I buy?! Why would they sell me a car that can't even do what it is suppose to do. Why would they not even try to own up to their standards? I tried contacting the owner, I tried contacting the service manager, I tried contacting the general manager but none of them want to talk to me on this issue. How are you going to sit there and tell everyone to come to you about a problem but flat out ignore the big issue in front of you? As of today, the mechanic said that replacing the throttle body did not work and still currently working on it... I bought this car in early February and still cannot drive it because Apple Tree sold me a car that can't even do what it is suppose to do.

Apple Tree Honda I bought a new car from Apple Tree Honda on 10/28

I bought a new car from Apple Tree Honda on 10/28. On 12/10, I went back to the dealership to sort out an issue. The finance manager filled out an Appletree Cancellation Form and Policy to cancel unnecessary extended warranties and extra stuff for the car. However, as of 04/08, this matter still hasn't been resolved, and I've contacted the dealership multiple times.

Apple Tree Honda We got a fancy used Honda Accord from Apple Tree Honda, but it turned out to be a real bummer

We got a fancy used Honda Accord from Apple Tree Honda, but it turned out to be a real bummer. The car had already been messed up in a crash before we got our hands on it. Appletree didn't wanna cough up any cash or even talk about fixing it. We snagged this used Honda Accord from Apple Tree 'bout 3 years back. They called it one of their top-notch used cars and we had to shell out a pretty penny (around $20,000). But then, 'bout 5 months ago, my wife accidentally scraped it against a juniper bush in our yard and a bunch of filler just fell right out. Karton L & Jason L (the big shots in charge) didn't wanna take any responsibility for selling us a car with secret damage or help out with the repair costs. They haven't bothered to return our calls or letters, and they even ditched a meeting we had set up.

Apple Tree Honda I been having a shakin' in the front of my 2016 honda odyssey van for a few months now

I been having a shakin' in the front of my 2016 honda odyssey van for a few months now. Another honda dealership said they seen the problem. I took it to Apple tree 'cause that's where I bought the van. They said it should be covered by the warranty. They checked it out and said it's a tire balance problem. But that can't be right 'cause it was happenin' before and after I got new tires. Now they want me to pay $145+ tax just to ignore the real problem. I complained to honda usa and they told me to deal with the other honda dealership 'cause Apple tree ain't even fixin' the problem. I don't think I should have to pay that money for them tryin' to hide this car issue and not fixin' my van like they should under the warranty. Right now, I'm waitin' for honda to come pick me up so I can get my van back. I had two other mechanics tell me it's a transmission issue, not a tire issue.

Apple Tree Honda I bought a 2007 Honda Odyssey from Apple Tree Honda less than a month ago

I bought a 2007 Honda Odyssey from Apple Tree Honda less than a month ago. Soon after bringing the van home, the engine light and battery light turned on. I called them and they told me to bring it back, so I drove an hour to return it. They checked the vehicle and said everything was fine, so I agreed. I drove back to South Carolina, but less than a week later, the engine light came back on. At this point, I'm upset and crying because I don't understand what's happening. I drove back to North Carolina and they told me it needs an alternator and a gas cap. I'm thinking, "So the car didn't actually go through diagnostics like they claimed." I had the car diagnosed at Honda of Greenville and it turns out the van has major issues. It needed a fuel pump, which luckily was covered by a warranty. It also has an oil leak and more. As a single mom, I don't have money to spend on a van, especially when I'm already making payments on a van that I can't even drive. I am extremely disappointed with the business and this whole situation has caused me a lot of emotional distress.

Apple Tree Honda Apple Tree Honda sold me a car that was defective

Apple Tree Honda sold me a car that was defective. Unfortunately, within the first week, it broke down, leaving my child and me stranded in another state, a long 12-hour drive from home. I managed to get the car to a Nissan dealership in that state, hoping to use the warranty that was supposed to cover the repairs. However, the Nissan service department faced difficulties in obtaining approval to examine the car. Frustrated, I decided to contact Apple Tree Honda to inquire about the issue. I spoke to a sales manager who promised to call the warranty company and provide me with an update. Regrettably, I never received that call back. Instead, I reached out again and spoke to another sales manager who was incredibly rude. He dismissively stated, "No matter what, you'll be paying for the car, whether it works or not, to get you and your daughter home." I have been persistently calling them multiple times a day for weeks, but they have been avoiding my calls and neglecting to return my messages. If necessary, I plan to file complaints with Honda of America, the FTC, and seek legal assistance. It's worth noting that the car did not have a buyer's guide when I purchased it.

Apple Tree Honda I ordered an item that I found out I didn't need

I ordered an item that I found out I didn't need. When I tried to cancel the order, the salesman said the item ain't returnable. I never got it. I ordered an auto part and realized I didn't need it. When I called to cancel, they refused and said the item couldn't be returned. I told them I didn't receive or pick up the item, and the sale was still pending on my credit card. The salesman never said the part couldn't be returned, or I wouldn't have ordered it. I think they tricked me and didn't tell me the return policy before I ordered, only mentioning it after I asked to cancel. When I told the salesman he didn't tell me this before ordering, he said it's on my receipt. I only got a receipt after I ordered. This is clearly an ethics violation and should be taken seriously. I had a witness with me who can confirm that they didn't disclose the return policy.

Apple Tree Honda I can't renew my registration 'cause the state don't have no record of my leased vehicle from 3 months ago

I can't renew my registration 'cause the state don't have no record of my leased vehicle from 3 months ago. Leased a 2020 Honda Fit (8/24) and got the wrong one. Had to do all the paperwork again the next week. During inspection, they found out the radiator ain't never been filled with fluid (been drivin' it for 3 months). Can't renew my registration 'cause the state don't have no record. Spent hours tryin' to talk to a manager, but they kept sendin' me to voicemail and never called back. This is my 3rd lease with Apple Tree Honda. Last car (2018 Fit) got serviced there, just an oil change and tire rotation, but they never tightened the lug nuts on the wheels, which could've killed my husband and daughter. The car before that (2015 Fit) got serviced too, but they didn't put the screws back on an undercarriage panel, so it scraped the ground for months. Ain't never takin' my car to the service department again. Finally got a call back from a manager at the end of the day and they said they'd fix it, but I ain't sure if I can trust 'em.

Apple Tree Honda Appletree returned a serviced car to us without a battery strap/bracket and refuse to take responsibility

Appletree returned a serviced car to us without a battery strap/bracket and refuse to take responsibility. I took my 2013 Honda Accord V6 to Appletree Honda in *** NC XXXXX for service. I've been there many times before, even for the recent inspection (2/22). The car had trouble starting on and off, so since I got the battery from Honda, I wanted them to check it out. I went there three times (8/14, 8/21 & 8/28), but they couldn't figure out the issue, even though I asked about the battery cables and grounding cable. I picked up the car and took it to another mechanic who quickly found out that the grounding cable was loose. He also told me that the battery strap/bracket was missing. Since Appletree Honda had worked on the car recently, I called their service department to see if I could get the missing part. The service technician (Lance) said it was missing when we brought the car to Appletree. They didn't tell us after the three visits for battery and electrical system tests or after the recent inspection (2/22) that it was missing. Lance said we couldn't know if it went missing at Appletree or at one of the auto body shops that worked on the car after accidents that happened since we bought the battery, even though the auto body work was done before the inspections and electrical diagnostic visits (August ). After this experience, we won't be going back to Appletree, even though we used their service department a lot in the past. You'd think they would think twice about losing business over a $10-15 part.

Apple Tree Honda My car messed up on 4/14 and I took it to the shop

My car messed up on 4/14 and I took it to the shop. I waited for 4 hours and they charged me $170. But guess what? The car messed up again just 10 minutes after leaving the shop. I had some issues with refunds and stuff since then. On 4/14, while driving to work at Mission Health, my car lost power and showed the code P0299 on the screen. So, I took it to Apple Tree and waited for 4 hours, and they charged me $168. But as soon as I left, just 10 minutes down the road, the car did the exact same thing with the same code P0299. I called them on Wednesday morning and they told me to call my warranty center, which I did. I had to get the car towed for 60 miles from my home to Fletcher, N.C., where Apple Tree is located. The tow bill was $242, but luckily my extended warranty covered $100 of it. They called me in the evening and told me what was wrong with the car and said it would be fixed the next day. But when I called at 1 pm on 4/16, they hadn't even started working on the car. I told them I needed a rental car, but they said they weren't doing that. So, I had to pay $220 out of my own pocket to rent a car because my extended warranty only covers cars from the dealer. The service manager told me I would be refunded $140 of the initial $168 because they didn't fix the issues, and because of my extended warranty. They also said they would look into my tow bill. When I picked up the car on Friday 4/17, the service manager had already gone home for the day, so he had to authorize those refunds. But don't worry, they assured me that they would reach out to me. I've called several times, waited on hold, and even been hung up on. Today, on 4/24, I was on hold and they told me he must be walking around another building. I paid cash in full for my vehicle and paid an extra $2000 for the extended warranty, only to be told that I was lucky to be worked in on my initial visit. They don't care about their customers at all. I've warned anyone who asked about my experience with Apple Tree to be careful and buy from another Honda dealership.

Apple Tree Honda I bought a new car in December and found dents in it

I bought a new car in December and found dents in it. It's been impossible to get it fixed. I got a new 2020 Honda Fit on December 8. It arrived on December 10th, and I took pictures to show my friends. I drove it less than a mile and a half on December 11th, and on December 12th, I noticed dents and ripples above the back doors on both sides of the car. I immediately told the dealer about the problem. They basically said they couldn't do anything. I took it for inspection on December 22nd. They said Honda would take care of it for free. They would handle everything and call me to bring it in after the new year. In the third week of January, I called to ask about it and got transferred to the sales manager. I left a detailed message and my phone number on his voicemail. I called three more times, but each time I got the answering machine and NEVER got a call back! The fourth time, I told the operator not to transfer me to the answering machine and that I wanted to talk to a person. Again, he had just stepped outside, but she said she would make sure I got a call that day. I'm still waiting! I called Honda Support and told them my concerns. After several more weeks, they told me to bring it in today to get it fixed and they would give me a loaner car to drive. I talked to the salesman and he said he would have everything ready for today, and I could just drop off my car and take the loaner car. When I arrived, I found out he wasn't even working today, and nobody there knew what was happening, including the person in charge of the loaner cars. "Who's gonna pay for this?" "Call Honda Support and find out what's happening." "Warranty work doesn't cover fixing dents!" The final straw was when the loaner lady found out I had my dog with me and said, "We don't allow dogs in our loaner cars!" I realized nobody knew why I was there, and since December 22nd, I've been passed around trying to get a satisfactory solution. I bought a NEW CAR, not one that needed to be repaired for dents!
