Arcadia Like others, I could not find contact information for this company

Like others, I could not find contact information for this company. When it was time for me to move, I attempted to cancel service and couldn't talk to a live person. I complete an online form as it seemed to be the only option and got a confirmation e-mail. Only months later did I learn that they just transferred my service back to the original provider and thus I continued accruing charges. Worse yet, the paperless bills were still going to an Arcadia e-mail instead of my own, so I was completely unaware. The auto-bill pay feature also stopped. I'm out $80 but would be out much more if I didn't just happen to catch this when I got a text from the original provider that was sent in error.

Be careful when someone from Arcadia comes to your door - take a look at their website for "How do I cancel my account in " (Complaintsboard.com won't let me post the exact address because it has numbers they think are phone numbers) Go to: https://support.arcadia.com/hc/en-us and navigate to "Community Solar" They state it conveniently takes every utility company in existence 180 days for your utility company to process the change, which is utter nonsense. It takes Arcadia 180 days so they can lock you in at extortion rates for half a year, because you mistakenly signed up. Do not sign up.

A guy stopped by to tell me I should have received a 10% discount on my energy bill as part of National Grids solar energy program. I asked if he worked for National Grid and he said yes. I was talking with him and foolishly gave him my information but the confirmation email I got while signing up for the Solar program stated it was from Arcadia and was an enrollment form. When I pointed out it was saying I was enrolling in something he told me point blank I wasn't. At that point I refused to finish the enrollment and said I wasn't interested or comfortable with this. I would do my own research to figure out if I was interested. I feel the salesman (who stated he wasn't trying to sell me anything) was dishonest. He was not an employee of National Grid and he was attempting to sell/trick me into changing my electric service. I've also reported this interaction directly to National Grid.

Arcadia's pricing was a savings until I signed up solar. Once I signed up for solar the prices were higher with the exception of every 3rd month or so when they would apply the REC's. The usage data hasn't been updated since February 2022. I have sent several e-mails over the past 2 months without so much as an acknowledgement of receipt. It's as if they just don't care about the business or the customers that got them where they are. Once they they have you as a customer, they stop caring.

Arcadia 2 young men came to my condo with "isolar" jackets, clipboards, and fake ComEd electric bills

2 young men came to my condo with "isolar" jackets, clipboards, and fake ComEd electric bills. Someone else let them in the building, but I knew exactly who they were. They knocked on my door but would not announce who they were when I asked. I opened the door and instructed them to leave the building. They did not immediately leave and instead started their sales speech. I interrupted immediately and instructed them to leave, or my dog (who was beside me and being super well behaved) might jump on them. It was then that my dog let out a howling bark, and they immediately decided they should do as I had asked. It should not take this sort of threat to make a salesperson who is trespassing leave. It's not only rude, unprofessional, but also illegal.

Is Arcadia a shell company? Please note that my review will be answered < SEE BELOW >with a robotic response. Nobody is there. I have tried to contact Arcadia. Arcadia is a robot. Is the address listed here real or is it a mailbox service? I've asked the a staff-member of my United States Representative to visit and check out their office.

Arcadia Power Inc has been cheating me and has deceived me into spending hundreds of dollars without my consent. Without informing me about any additional charges, they kept on deducting extra amount from my account for over a year! This company is a scam and must be sued for damages.

I had a guy come to my door early in the year, January let's say. He talked me into getting the service as it would be better for me. The bill was low at first then a few months later double! My bill is only $67 but Arcadia charges a whole $80 extra! Why does it take a month to clear up but 3 months to discontinue!?! Also, I never gave Permission to change my email. This is such a scam. I'm just waiting for this to be over. This whole company needs to be shut down. Your just making people's lives difficult with extra additions to energy bills under false pretenses.

Arcadia Company was great when I first joined but my most recent move has been nothing but frustrating

Company was great when I first joined but my most recent move has been nothing but frustrating. I have my previous account closed with my electric company and have started a move with arcadia 5+ times and just got a bill for my old address foe September. I haven't live at that address for 4 months and am now being billed for someone else's account. On top of that, I have previously requested arcadia cancel my membership for the issues I've had moving my account over and was told I needed to contact my energy company to have them cancel my old account. When someone requests to have a membership canceled, do not just ignore the request when you do not provide an option for the user to access on the website! Terrible company and I will never suggest anyone use them until they fix their services.

We switched to from National Grid to Arcadia on the false claim that our electricity would be coming from renewable sources i.e. wind/solar and that our costs could be lowered. The reality is that our costs have almost tripled. National Grid prices were at 6-7 cents per kilowatt. Arcadia price was 24 cents per kilowatt. We didn't know this until after we had paid 3 months of inflated bills. At first, my wife and I believed the increase in monthly electric bill was due to additional family members we had taken in for a while. Usage was not the issue - cost per kilowatt was. My wife called them up to see what was going on and their reply was that they could increase the costs without notification at any time, as is the case with any other utility such as National Grid. We do have a large home. Our monthly electric bills could be as high $300 with NG, but with Arcadia we were had 4 consecutive months of $800, $900 and the latest bill we just received was over $1100 ! After my wife called them, they reduced our costs down to 9 cents per kilowatt and offered to return $350 to us. This still puts us out over $1000 over 3 months ! Not a good practice to retain clients. As far as the Solar piece - we were put on a "wait" list and when a slot opened up, we would be allowed to use it. That is not how the power grid works! I will be canceling our agreement with Arcadia and go back to National Grid. Don't be fooled by their false promises - you may get hit with huge electric bills that are not aligned with any "green" technologies . I was duped once - not any more.

I do not appreciate predatory, fraudulent practices. A rep came to my door earlier this week claiming to be with Pepco and asking for my bill to check for the presence of a particular statement indicating that I was eligible for service updates. At NO point did he talk about switching suppliers, this being optional, or being a third party vender that is NOT employed by Pepco (and who has no right or need to see my bill unless I opt into services, which I did NOT do...firstly because I have no idea what services are actually being offered). I do not care what Arcadia claims to provide. If this is their practice (non-consent, lying, and manipulation to gain access to personal information that affects my money), I want nothing to do with them. I luckily, I started getting a bad feeling and gave a fake email. The text I received asking to confirm enrollment revealed what I'd grown to suspect (that the entire interaction was BS) and I ended the conversation with the rep. I also declined the text, called Pepco so they can note that I refuse any third party suppliers (in case Arcadia continues the lying streak), and am on the phone now to complain with Arcadia directly. Gross.

I was approached by two sales reps with ComEd clipboards and Arcadia badges. They were knocking on the residences in our apartment building door to door. This should have been an immediate red flag, but in a moment of weakness, I decided to sign up with Arcadia, as they pitched it in the moment to seem less expensive than Clean Choice energy. Almost immediately after signing up, I discovered my ComEd login information had been hacked. I was luckily able to reset my email and password and unlink my bank account appropriately, but I am still on the alert, even after canceling my plan with them. Let me be blunt. These are scammers. Anytime someone wants you to respond urgently in this manner over the phone or door-to-door- or pitches something that sounds too good to be true, do not comply. I hope this review prevents other people from being deceived in a similar way. Do not let this company or those like it pressure you into giving your personal information.

Arcadia A Representative came to my door claiming to be my power company "Pepco

A Representative came to my door claiming to be my power company "Pepco." She wanted to help me get a rebate to which I was entitled and that my neighbors and I were not getting. She asked to see my bill to verify that I was not getting the rebate. She repeatedly stated that she was from Pepco, but when I asked for an ID, she displayed one from Arcadia. She claimed that her company "works with Pepco" to help consumers save money on energy bills. She sent a link to my cell phone asking me to set up an account with Arcadia, give my credit card or bank number through which I pay my electric bill. I did not comply but wanted to alert others. This is entirely misrepresentation and fraud. Please beware. I have notified Arcadia, Pepco and not the community of these misrepresentations which I consider to be outright Fraud.

This is a terrible company. My electric bill is $50-$75 higher every month. I am using the same amount of electricity as I have been for the last eight years. I canceled this service in October and was told it takes 180 days to close. This is the worst energy service. I would NOT recommend considering this company.

This company uses predatory sales tactics. The employee that came to my door indicated that Arcadia was simply the billing partner for my current utility provider and that changing to Arcadia for "billing" was required due to a state regulation. She was unable to answer further probing questions (including who her employer was, dodging the question but implying she worked for the state government), which is why I ultimately didn't feel comfortable signing the documents over to fully onboard my apartment to Arcadia. She also grabbed my phone for extended periods of time, even dropping it on the ground. After researching the matter further, it was clear to me that these were gross exaggerations due to poor employee training at best or knowingly fraudulent statements at worst. This is disappointing, as I would have totally been open to switching to a cleaner energy provider if someone had come to our door explaining what Arcadia actually was and how it worked. Unfortunately, due to this horrendous first impression, I simply do not feel comfortable using Arcadia.

Arcadia I signed up in January, connected my utility, and started paying 28.88 each month to Arcadia

I signed up in January, connected my utility, and started paying 28.88 each month to Arcadia. This is the amount selected by them, not me. I was promised a $25 gift card to sign up and told I would save money on my "clean energy". After several months I reached out. Found out my utility company was not available so I have simply been paying $28.88 as a donation every month and not saving any money at all. I also was told I did not receive my $25 due to an error and would receive it in 30 days. In 30 days I was told there was another error. Another 30 days I was told my account was not connected (they disconnected it when they changed the amount per month to $5) Bottom line, misleading information, false advertising - I have "donated" about $300 under the assumption I was saving on my utility bill and never received the promotion promised. BEWARE

Arcadia My account with Arcadia Power is not what I signed up for

My account with Arcadia Power is not what I signed up for. I knew that my electricity bills might increase by a few dollars, since I wanted to support solar energy, but now the bills are almost 50% higher, and with my low-income discount from Eversource, they are 55% higher. For example, my Eversource bill for July was $47; Arcadia charged me $105. This has to be fraudulent and is certainly predatory on low-income seniors like myself. I have cancelled my Arcadia account, but they inform me that I am liable for as much as 6 months of future billings. Their method is to lure you with the promise of lower electricity bills, then stick you with exorbitant fees for solar credits that just accumulate and that I will never use. In addition, my bills from Arcadia have been going up since I cancelled my account, which leads me to believe that there is some retribution going on as well. Don't fall for Arcadia's scheme. Thank you.

Arcadia I was enrolled in the freeplan from 2018 Nov until 2020 October

I was enrolled in the freeplan from 2018 Nov until 2020 October. I moved to Indiana and reinstated my arcadia account. I was not informed of the fact the free plan was eliminated. Instead, magically Ihad been enrolled in Premium plan which charges 2c per KWh. My December bill was unusually high. When I tried to log in to my Utility company, I found out ARcadia had locked me out- basically they had changed my login credentials. This again was a surprise. I saw that for Dec 2020, my credit card was charged $46. When I called the Customer service, they were adament that they cannot reverse the extra charge of $46 that was added to my bill. That said, they decided on their own accord to close my account which resulted in penalty from my energy company. When I called them, they could not explain why my account was closed. They gave me $30 credit for my next statement. From reading other reviews, I am not the first one. I continued my account thinking that my plan was still the free plan. I feel that I have been misled and cheated. After I get the credit I am terminating my account with them. I give a grade of F for their poor communication practices.

Arcadia I was an Arcadia user for over 2 years

I was an Arcadia user for over 2 years. I signed up as a brand new homeowner, not fully realizing what I was in for. The way it's advertised, you'd think Arcadia is going to save you tons of money off your energy bill via confusingly worded jargon about renewable and solar energy. They never make anything perfectly clear, but I didn't really mind, as long as it saved me money. And at first, I did see some discounts coming off my bill. But this most recent statement came in, saying I owed $400- FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS - for one month of electricity for my 1200 sq ft home. My bill has never once topped $160 even in the hottest months. By contrast, my actual energy supplier said I owed merely $109 this month. I called Arcadia, asking where in the world this extra $300 came from, and was given this asinine explanation about community solar charges, on top of which they had the gall to say I was actually saving money via credits, but my energy supplier just wasn't showing it on my bill somehow (uh what? My supplier is charging me $300 LESS and YOU'RE the one saving me money? oookay.) So of course after all this runaround, my recourse was to try and cancel my membership. Thats when I was told it would take 90 days to fully complete my cancellation for some reason, and in the meantime, they'd still bill me. No, that isn't how this works. I revoked my consent for them handle my energy bills; they don't get to turn around and say they are still entitled to 3 more months worth of my money because something-something solar farm. I contacted my bank and placed a stop-payment order on all charges from this company to protect myself from this. PLEASE do not trust this company. They play fast and loose with peoples' money under the guise of an environmental mission, and initially it will seem like a good idea to use them. But they make it extremely hard to understand why they are charging you the money they charge you, and then make it even harder to get out from under them once you realize you're being scammed. Avoid avoid avoid!

Arcadia I signed up for Community Solar with Arcadia Power

I signed up for Community Solar with Arcadia Power. This was not available until a couple of months ago. Since they started participation in Community Solar, my bill has increased by approximately 30%, despite ***'s rate being comparable to their rate for the same period last year. Arcadia claims that I received $135 in "credits" last month and $217 in "credits" this past month, for which I have to pay the solar farm 90% of the credits, or $195. My *** bill, however, shows I have a credit, but I still have to pay $195 this month. I requested to opt out of the community solar program and was told that there is a 180day "grace" period before I can opt out. This will cost me a ton of extra money during the grace period, especially during the summer months when we use A/C. I want to be removed from the program immediately as I feel that this is a scam that benefits only Arcadia and the solar farm owners.

Arcadia Solar Community representative came to my door yesterday claiming to acting under the auspices and contract with *** and then proceeded to enrol me in their service. Although my account is pending at this point I have decided upon further review to cancel and sent them an email stating not to proceed. The actions of the company representatives are fraudulent and misleading.

Individuals from the company showed up at my apartment and led me to believe they were from my existing energy company comed. They pressured me into signing up for the service stating that it was necessary and they would return if I did not. I have been attempting to get ahold of their customer service over the phone as well as via email to try to cancel the service since Friday and have been sent to voicemail and unable speak to someone in order to get this cancelled. I have left multiple voicemails and am concerned that this company is a scam.

A door to door salesman came to our door to let us know about a solar farm the have and due to that we are eligible for a 10% discount on our *** electric bill. He said that they work with *** and that is why we get the discount. I ask him a series of question like are there any fees added to which he said no. I also asked him if there are any disclosures we need to sign. He also said all we needed to provide was our address, email and phone number. I added screen shots of where there terms and conditions aka disclosures clearly state that there is a monthly recurring subscription fee that can be changed at any time based on there discretion. Once you made an account with the previous information you need to provide you login in info from which they can control. The terms and conditions also state that they are not affiliated with and suppler or other company which is directly opposite of what the salesman stated to us.

I have been a member of Arcadia since 7 to be part of their renewable energy program. They chose to close their renewable energy program without notice to their customers in June and enrolled me without consent or notice in their solar energy program. My bill more than tripled! They said that it has to due with *** not issuing credits correctly, but their is nothing that I can do about it. I was being billed roughly 9 cents per kWh and now am being charged 25 cents per kWh. They refused to lower my bill and just said that hopefully my bill will go down in the future and they will auto debit my account. I asked to cancel my service and they said that will take an additional 90 days. I have no control over this account now and they are changing the structure and pricing without notice and consent. This is not all right and needs attention.

An Acadia representative came to my door and offered me a 10% discount on my electric bill. However, he did not provide much information about the program. His demeanor was pushy, and he made inappropriate comments regarding my body image, which made me uncomfortable. Despite my polite demeanor, I was busy working from home, and the representative was insistent, preventing me from returning to my work. I have no interest in this program and attempted to cancel my enrollment after the representative left, but customer service has been unresponsive. I have sent several emails to no avail. I am requesting to cancel my enrollment and would like this to be processed immediately. For reference, please contact support at arcadia.com and refer to my plan and reference numbers, as well as my phone number provided during the enrollment.

Yesterday I was charged $702 without notification from the Arcadia System. I had also noticed that the charge was significantly higher than what it was previously. I have attempted to contact their support team repeatedly without an answer from their phone support, which is still on its voicemail mode for after hours, even though they claim there is support available from 9 to 5 PM EST. They have since refunded me half of the charge, but I have not heard from them and would like to have someone explain to me why they charged me that much twice and never gave any kind of notification. Again, I have warned the support team that if I don't get some kind of answer, I will start contacting all the executives and higher-ups. I would also like this service canceled as soon as possible, as I do not like the service or the way they operate.

PRIOR to ending our service with ***, I went into my Arcadia account and turned OFF autopay. i then logged back in to indeed confirm that Autopay was turned OFF, it was, I was annoyed as they will not allow for you to delete your credit card on file. This was done on 09/23. I paid my final *** bill in full on Sept. 24th for $333.56. On September 27th, Arcadia sent my statement. I logged into my account again to ensure that autopay was turned off as I had already paid ***, and indeed it was. I had not closed out the account yet because I was still deciding if I would like to use them with my new energy provider. Arcadia charged my credit card, without my authorization as autopay was set to OFF, has not provided those funds to *** and will not return my unauthorized funds. They keep stating I was always enrolled in autopay, that I had 3 days from the bill to tell them not to pay it, and I keep telling them I UNENROLLED on 09/23!

This business buzzed into our building twice to go door to door telling people that they are with eversource. The first time they came my elderly neighbor buzzed them in and when my boyfriend called eversource to ask if it was truly them, they said that it was not them. My boyfriend told the Arcadia employees this and then they claimed that they never said they were with eversource, even though they did and it said eversource on their clipboard. The second time my roommate buzzed them in mistakenly after Id asked her not to because they tricked her. It isnt ethical to mislead people by telling them that youre a company that you arent (you 100% did this to both my roommate and my boyfriend on two separate occasions). My boyfriend said he would call police if they ever came back and the next time it was two different people. We will call the police next time but wed rather not have to do that so wed appreciate it if this scam could stop. How do they not feel horrible for all of the people theyve fooled?

I signed up with a budgeting service and they advised me that I could use Arcadia as a go-between with my utility provider and I would save 10% on my bill AND help clean energy. Sounds great right? Well, it was fine for the first few months, but now my May 20-June 21 bill is $514.50. They did take 10% off so I paid $463. However, according to my utility provider's bill, I was only supposed to pay $148.02, which is exactly what I would have expected given I spent a few thousand dollars updating my climate control so it was more energy efficient (last summer it was even less, around $95). Now I have a credit with the utility provider for $366.48. I can't be spending $500 for one month of electricity in my small 1 bedroom apartment. This is outrageous. I've been waiting on the phone for an hour, no one answers. No amount of 'small print' makes this acceptable. It's clearly a predatory pattern.

Arcadia Had started a few months back, Since I still get the E-bills from **** through my bank

Had started a few months back, Since I still get the E-bills from *** through my bank. As you can see in the attachments below. Even after first signing up with Arcadia I was skeptical of how the Auto-Pay would work. As you can see even paid the bill a few times anyway. However after a short time the bill not only doubled, but practically tripled. They have pushed their Auto-Pay payment through twice now in the last two weeks and have overdrawn my account twice. Now I have no money in the bank and this is why I don't allow Auto-Pay for any of my other bills. Cause when you give access to Auto-Pay it's like a blank check. They can just charge whatever they want, Even though my Electric Bill doesn't reflect close to what their showing the bills as. Current Electric Bill for May shows at $55.43 and they show the bill as $509.50 not sure how that translate, but for someone who is on Budget Billing and Food Stamps for a time not that long ago isn't something that I can afford.

Sometime last year (2021) I signed up for community solar. I understood the program: I would see a large credit on my bill, and Arcadia would take 90% of it and pass 10% of it along to me in savings. This was the cost of signing up with the community solar program and letting Arcadia administer it. Apparently, six months ago, they didn't accurately apply the credit for two months and accidentally gave me 100% of it. I know what my budget billing amount is, and so when November and December came in a bit below that amount, I figured Arcadia had applied everything correctly. I had no idea they had given me more money than they should have. I trusted them to be competent. My mistake. So when my bill came in this month -- over $50 higher than my budget billing amount -- I was shocked. I looked at my bill and could not figure out where the extra cost to the solar farm was coming from. Turns out, after being on hold with the company for an hour, I learned about their months-old error for the first time. To fix it, they had tried to get the entirety of their mistake back from me in one month, with no notification or indication that it was coming. Some of us live and die on the basis of knowing what our budgets look like. We plan for certain utility amounts. We make housing payments on time solely because the things we plan for turn out according to plan. $50 can make a big difference. They made their mistake my problem. My budget this month hangs in the balance because they messed this up months ago, and didn't bother to warn me. To make matters worse, they only gave me 3 days -- 2 of them over a weekend -- to see my bill and reach out to them before they charged my credit card. By the time I saw it - only 3 business days after the bill was issued, it was too late. They'd charged my card, and refused to do anything that would have made me whole this month, even extending payment to another month to give me time to deal with their incompetence.

My bill the past 3 months has been very high more than it was supposed to be. The last 2 months I called they said it was a mistake and adjusted it. This past month I called sand they told me I owed them money for the community solar fun which is supposed to be free. I told them I wanted to cancel my membership they said it would take 180 days to cancel my membership. I then told them I was going to file a claim with a complaintsboard.com After I talked to them, they sent me an email saying that they had gotten permission to waive the 180 days and cancel my membership.

This company is not being honest when getting people to sign up with them. I was told by the person knocking on my door that signing up would only lower my electric bill. The last two months they have charged me more than my electric bill. I did not catch on in the first month that the bill was off because they email they send frames is as being my utility charged but when logged into Arcadia it breaks it down as a community solar farm charge. No were in my contract did it show that I would be charged in such way. In addition there are documents in my account on arcadia that say I signed them but there is no signature to it and I have not seen them until now. The only document I signed with the rep at my door was a disclosure statement. I want this business to change their business practices to so that others do not sign up for it not knowing what they are getting into. I should have known about this information before signing up and not be suprised by a bill that is 3 times the amount that my electric bill shows for. I would also like my bill adjusted as this was not something that I agreed to. The only document I signed and saw before now is the one uploaded that says disclosure.

Arcadia I received an offer in mid 2018 from Arcadia power, promising to lower my electric bill by switching to Arcadia for the electricity that is

I received an offer in mid 2018 from Arcadia power, promising to lower my electric bill by switching to Arcadia for the electricity that is delivered to my home. I signed up with them, and never realized that they ''hijacked'' my *** account, even going so far as to put a different email address in for bill delivery. The statements that they sent me never matched my *** bill, as I found out today. They also charged between 3 and 4 cents per kwh *higherthan ***. I calculated that I used 7603 kwh while using them, and was overcharged $228 - $304 for the 18 months I used them. They sent a rate hike email, so they say, that I would have had to ''opt out of'' going to the higher rate. Very deceptive practices. Also, the invoices that Arcadia sent me did not reflect *** charges, they were much higher. Their billing is far from tranparent, it is purposely deceiving. This company needs to be regulated by someone, so they will stop deceiving and stealing from clients.

Arcadia At one time we used an alternate electric supplier instead of ***

At one time we used an alternate electric supplier instead of ***. The company was Arcadia power. We did not use this company in 2019 or 2020. Electric supplier *** showed up on our *** bill starting in October stating we chose them as our electric supplier. I contacted them and was told we were signed up by Arcadia power. We did not use Arcadia power in 2019 or 2020. I have bills showing *** was my electric supplier. I would like the fraudulent electric supply charges refunded. I spoke with no one at Arcadia Power, *** or *** about changing my electric supplier. This change was done without my knowledge or consent. I have not used Arcadia's services since at least 2018. *** bills only go back 24 months online. I would love to know how my electric choice was changed by a company I haven't use in over two years without any contact from the company and without my knowledge or consent. Arcadia power caused an unsolicited change and resulted in electric delivery charges of $106.23 on bill due 03/24, $100.11 on bill due 02/22, $91.47 on bill due 01/22, $82.70 on bill due 12/28 and $69.96 on bill due 11/23 when they changed my electric supplier without my knowledge or consent during the middle of that billing cycle. My *** bill due 10/19 lists *** as my electric supplier and bill due 11/23 shows multiple electric suppliers without my knowledge or consent.

Arcadia I have asked Arcadia Power to cancel my account as an Energy supplier

I have asked Arcadia Power to cancel my account as an Energy supplier. I have discovered that Arcadia has not been listed on my *** bill as my energy supplier, as advertised, nor as I had thought I had contracted with them for the past 2 years. Instead Arcadia has just acted as a middle man to pay my monthly bill. My local township entered into Aggregation energy buying over the past two years, which I opted not to participate in because I had already entered into contract with Arcadia. But I have recently found out that I was enrolled with the Aggregation energy company as my supplier, despite opting out in writing twice and stating I was using Arcadia as my energy supplier. When *** (my utility company) and *** (the Aggregated supplier) looked up my account I was shocked to hear that Arcadia was not listed as the supplier, but listed ***'s supplier ID. I feel very much deceived by Arcadia's marketing practices and the product/service they actually provide. My understanding was that Arcadia would be my energy supplier with renewable energy, but Arcadia has only acted as a 2nd party bill payer with access to my account. That is not the service I thought I was contracting. I was upset that I could not access my *** account because Arcadia had changed my profile email address to reroute all communications to them. I have asked Arcadia to cancel my account. I am seriously disappointed with the false advertising and product fraud. Paying a bill is not being an energy supplier of renewable resources.

Arcadia I am a small time landlord with properties in California and New York

I am a small time landlord with properties in California and New York. I signed up with Arcadia to manage my New York utilities, and after several months I decided to sign up the California properties. What I did not realize, and Arcadia did not make clear is that there are no solar programs available in California. Arcadia signed me up anyway and proceeded to debit $5 per month from me for my two California properties, even though there was no solar program available to reduce my bills. Since they use auto debit, and were already withdrawing money for the New York properties, I did not notice the additional charges. During this year's tax season, I finally took a look at my accounts. I noticed that the two California properties were not assigned to a solar savings program but I was being charged $5 a month anyway. I called Arcadia and was told that they had assigned me to a "Wind program" which gives me the "opportunity" to contribute to a local wind farm to help them maintain operations. I'm sorry but my money is too tight to unknowingly contribute $5 per month to a wind farm and get no benefit. After all, I signed up to have my utility bill reduced, not increased! I'm sure Arcadia will respond by saying that I signed their terms of agreement, Blah Blah Blah. However, it should be illegal for them to force you to set up auto pay in order to sign up with them, then charge your account even when Solar services are not available in your area. I would like a refund for the charges made on both my California addresses both of which were not fully set up but I was still being debited.

Arcadia There claim on their website: Clean energy and savings made easy

There claim on their website: Clean energy and savings made easy. Connect your utility account to Arcadia to access clean energy and lower power bills in under two minutes. They were supposed to be saving me money by supplementing solar/wind power but instead, they have been overcharging me on my *** bill for the last 9 months to the tune of $335.51. I confirmed that the KWH from their billing and billing period matched that of what was on record at *** ( I had them send me my billing history for the last 2 years) and found that they overcharged me. Prior to 9 months ago, the *** and Archadia bills were identical. A representative contacted me and stated they were saving me money on a solar rate but failed to mention that rate was much higher than what *** would have charged me if I had not made the switch. I feel they are being deceptive as they do not disclose anywhere on their website that your solar or wind energy charges could be higher that what you would pay with your utility company. Since my *** bill is sent to them, I did not have visibility to compare Arcadia and *** rates. Having to compare rates to determine if I am receiving the best rate, does not line up with their statement of Clean energy and savings made easy. They did not save me any money over my utility company and I think they are using deceptive advertizing to bring in customers. They also take 90 days to close your account and stop charging you. In that time period, I noticed the largest overcharges by Arcadia. Overcharge Summary: Billing Period *** Bill Arcadia Bill 05/14 -06/11 Invoice $62.67 $123.91 04/16 -05/14 Invoice $146.79 $206.95 03/13 -04/15 Invoice $127.96 $172.35 02/14 -03/12 Invoice $170.49 $186.54 01/15 -02/13 Invoice $175.99 $188.01 12/14 -01/14 Invoice $197.96 $209.46 11/15 -12/13 Invoice $126.05 $148.80 10/12 -11/14 Invoice $111.29 $163.24 09/14 -10/11 Invoice $39.84 $95.29

Arcadia Arcadia Power changed their name 3 times on my credit card statement

Arcadia Power changed their name 3 times on my credit card statement. I contacted them many times asking why my electric bill went up roughly $30 a month since switching to them. I was with them for a year. Their answers never made complete sense, but they switched a lot of numbers on my bills and claimed it was because I was enrolled in community solar. After one year, I finally blocked them from everything and got a new credit card, and returned my bills to my energy company. Arcadia said it would take 3 additional months to unenroll me, but this wasn't stated anywhere when I signed up. Then they said they had cancelled me, but they hadn't. Now, 2 months after receiving my utility bills back from my normal energy company, with my bills now roughly $30 a month lower again as they should be, I try to go on to my old arcadia account and their site states " your account has been deleted." TOTAL SCAM. This company wasted hours of my life, and over a year, I'm guessing they've garnished about $300-$400 from me, by adding "community solar savings" billed to my electric company under a bunch of fancy verbage, numbers, and complicated calculations. The proof lies in the fact that after cancelling them, my utility bills are now back down to where they were prior to Arcadia, and I can now read them again. The company is a scam, made it impossible to read my bills from my normal energy provider, even when I had others look at them as well, and wasted so much of my time on the phone with them. They refused to allow me to cancel with them. They garnished money from my monthly bills by raising them. And they have now, 2 months post-cancellation, deleted my account on their website. Why? To hide? Not to mention that they keep changing their name on your credit card. 3 name changes in one year. This made it hard to simply search for their name on my statements. If you need to drop them - 1) change your regular utility company password so they can no longer access it. That is your right. 2)get new credit card
