Ashford Communities review: Adding charges to my rent repeatedly

Hello, I never wanted it to go this far by complaining, but I have voiced my concerns with them many times with no resolution! I pay my rent on time since I have been here for 3 years. My rent went from $775 to $875 to $938. I complained of course those are big jumps but either way it goes it has to be paid. Over the course of the years I have been here I have always had my own renters insurance. I upload it every year but that’s not enough for them. Everytime I upload it they tell me about every 2 months to keep uploading it. It becomes to be so exhausting after a while I just give up. At this point they should upload it because as many times as they ask me for the documents. It should be illegal to keep asking someone about an upload when I have given them my renters insurance 100times. Right now as of August 30, 2023 I have a pass due balance of $51 due to them adding the renters insurance on my account. I refused to pay because I already have renters insurance which is the same coverage as there’s, covered up to $100,000. It is almost like they are trying to shove there insurance down my throat. I don’t want it. I am asking if you can kindly remove this $19 balance that they keep adding to my account. They also keep sending me letter to my door saying I’m behind this amount when I’m fact I’m not.
