Terrible craftmanship of home built
Terrible craftmanship of home built. Also, the retaining wall had no permit when it actually needed one, and no drainage done as well. I can't get in contact with anyone, nor do they return calls or emails when it's been over a month.
I moved in July
I moved in July . Since day one, my concrete has done nothin but sink and crack. With no help or resolve from Aspen View. They out sourced the crack repair to A1 and they are continuing to get deeper and spread. Aspen View says that it is a A1 warranty now. Their service tech who is not concrete certified says it doesnt meet warranty guidelines 1/4 in mine are 1/4 but no continuous Sinking has to be 3 in and mine is past 2 in. EVERY SLAB in my garage is sunk and cracked, the stairs leading into my house unstable from sinking. Horrible customer service you have to email, call and beg for a RUDE response. Not only has this been my issue but numerous neighbors have same issues and more!
The buyin' experience with Aspen View was amazin', but we've had nothin' but problems with their warranty department since day 1
The buyin' experience with Aspen View was amazin', but we've had nothin' but problems with their warranty department since day 1. They don't respond to requests or say that basically nothin' is covered by warranty. I ain't never dealt with a builder less willin' to work with their clients to make things right. They recently told us that the roof ain't considered structural, so the leak is our responsibility after 3 years of ownin' the place. They also never fixed our whole house humidifier and a bunch of other stuff. They even left the house wide open to the elements for a whole year until our 1 year inspection when the home inspector we hired found it. We had to fight like crazy to get 'em to CLOSE UP THE HOUSE. Run. Run away. Don't buy a home from this builder.
I bought a new house from Aspen View Homes in October
I bought a new house from Aspen View Homes in October . In August , the electric wiring broke under my driveway, leaving me with no electricity in half of my house. I called Aspen View, and after waiting 4 days for them to call me back, they said it was out of warranty and not their responsibility. I called *** Electric to fix it. In November, *** dug another trench under the driveway and put new wires in it. The electrician said the original wires were damaged during construction. Wires under the driveway are supposed to last 40 years. On March 3, 2022, I took Aspen View Homes to Small Claims Court. After looking at all the evidence, the judge gave me the Money Judgement. I'm still waiting for Aspen View to send the money. I'm 72 years old and used to be a School Counselor for District 11. I had to pay $6,750 from my small savings. I paid *** Electric, but Aspen View doesn't have to pay me? I thought they were a responsible and honest company, but they don't even follow the law and pay their Money Judgement. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS BUILDER.

Exterior wall found to have an expose pocket being very damaging. It is a construction defect. They should be covering it as per construction laws. That includes any of the mildew or critters or anything else that got in there. Plumbing issues from two bathrooms. I've been tryin' to get 'em to come out and do the year-end inspection to fix all the stuff that's still messed up, but they ain't showin' up. And now they're sayin' they ain't gonna cover the issues, even though they didn't bother doin' the inspection in the first place.
We bought our house from Aspen View Homes in April
We bought our house from Aspen View Homes in April . There were a lot of problems during our walk-through that they said they would take care of, but it's been 16 months and they still haven't finished. The air conditioning doesn't cool the upstairs at all. They basically said they're not going to fix it. The warranty guy told me that everyone with a Sunset model has the same issue, but Aspen View won't do anything about it. Our deck doesn't meet Colorado regulations (see attachment 3). The concrete porch underneath is hollow and falling apart, and they still haven't decided what to do about it. They've made appointments with us more than 8 times and never showed up. Right now, Gabe is slowly fixing some small problems inside and outside, but they're not that important. The things that actually cost us thousands of dollars to fix, they won't help with!

Our friends Xiao and Yin, along with salesperson Allison, recommended the house we bought.
Our friends Xiao and Yin, along with salesperson Allison (phone # [protected]), recommended the house we bought. Allison, my husband, and our agent, Carin (phone # [protected]), were aware of a referral bonus policy. Despite closing on January 17th, our friends haven't received the promised $500. I've reminded the salesperson since early February, pre-COVID-19. We also referred others who've closed on their house, yet we received no bonus. Additionally, workers mishandled the bathroom tile and dirtied the carpets, leading to cleaning costs. David, a customer service manager (phone #: [protected]), called on February 25th, to address our issues with Aspen View Homes. Due to time constraints, my husband Vincent called him back the next day. They verbally agreed that we'd get a $1000 gift card for the cleaning expenses. However, after David left his job on March 4th, Allison claimed ignorance of this compensation.
Run from this builder
Run from this builder. The quality they say it is there but clearly it is not. Prior to entering into a contract we asked about landscaping and guidelines of the Covenants. Sales lied to us said it was pretty much a free for all and didn't have to worry about the back yard. I would have NEVER purchasing a home where the Covenants dictates what I do in the back yard. If we would have known about all this...I would have NEVER proceeded with this purchase. The Warranty department will come out to your home, but he didn't do anything and never even called to go over anything like he said he was. Let's talk about the quality...fixtures have just fallen out of the walls, fan in bathroom just stopped working, huge crack the entire length of porch that is now chipping and getting wider, LEAKING from roof into garage, tar under window because they are sloppy, leaking in front landscaping, bushes dying because of the nasty standing water that will not drain, the tree that landscaping installed - they left the plastic cover on the tree when they buried it, NEVER went over watering schedule or how to use it, the screens that construction installed on backwards so when the hail hit broke the screens plastic tabs and the screens...and the big one..need a new roof already - not even 4 months in and per the roofing company Aspen View didn't have roofing contractors install the wind and ice and apparently it is code here. NOW I'm being harassed by the Covenants to do my backyard...that I was told I didn't have a time limit on. Also per the Covenants verbiage it doesn't state front and backyard and this should be made VERY clear to every potential homeowner. Oh and you think these people are your friends and want you to be happy with the biggest pur*** you make during your life or will do the right thing..HOA snickered at me and said clearly your wrong. Aspen View - Tom *** - sorry you can't handle your job and couldn't keep the information straight, your ego is just a little.
I bought my house from Aspen View Homes in April
I bought my house from Aspen View Homes in April . When I got it, it was all new and I dealt straight with Aspen View. They kept telling me that the quality of the build was better than what the law required, and they promised to fix any construction problems. But since I got the house three and a half years ago, I've had a bunch of serious and ongoing issues with it. These problems have caused trouble with the neighborhood association because Aspen View didn't finish the construction properly. Plus, there are electrical, heating, and foundation problems that have made the house unsafe and unlivable. Here are the problems that Aspen View won't fix: 1. They didn't do the landscaping right, like they said they would in the contract. I had to pay for a fence myself because of this. And I've gotten fines in the past because of it. 2. The concrete on my front porch has big cracks that keep getting worse. They're way bigger than the small cracks Aspen View said were normal. 3. I don't have electricity in my kitchen, garage, or half of the downstairs living area. I can't use my appliances, and I have to open my garage door manually. The sprinkler control unit doesn't have power either, so I can't use my irrigation system. 4. The worst thing is that my furnace almost started a fire when I tried to turn it on. This company's bad construction could have killed me and destroyed everything I own. I don't have any heat, and it's getting colder. It's in the 50's inside my house right now, and it keeps getting colder every day. I asked for warranty help with these problems, but Aspen View's care coordinator, ***, denied my request. I explained how serious the situation is, but they said they would think about it again. That was two weeks ago, and I still haven't heard anything back.
