Never Purchase a Deer Valley Home
The home has a beautiful floor plan but it was built with poor craftsmanship. The appliances they selected to install in the house were outdated on all warranties. The heat pump never operates properly. I had some hard rain fall and the roof started leaking through one of the smoke detectors. I called deer valley only to be told that the roof only has a 1 year warranty!
This company is the worst, they leave your house in a complete mess when they're done
This company is the worst, they leave your house in a complete mess when they're done. And after waiting for 6 months or longer for it to be finished, you have to wait another 5 months before you can move into your home. They leave all their trash from finishing up in your yard, with drywall dust everywhere. The workers who are doing the job can't speak English, except for one and even that was barely. I am completely disappointed with my home and I will never go with them again.
We bought a Deer Valley (Avonlea model) home in 2021, and boy, have we had problems!
We bought a Deer Valley (Avonlea model) home in 2021, and boy, have we had problems! The floors, back doors, kitchen windows, and even the floor itself have all been giving us headaches. And let me tell you, it's not just a one-time thing. They've sent folks over to "fix" these issues multiple times, but guess what? The back doors are still leaking, and the kitchen windows are still leaking too! Can you believe it? I'm still waiting for a manager to reach out and make things right. I mean, come on, Deer Valley! You sold us this house at a crazy high price, and now you won't even stand by your claim of it being "quality built"!
I bought a house in September 2022, but it's now December 2022 and I still can't move in
I bought a house in September 2022, but it's now December 2022 and I still can't move in. I've had nothing but problems with this company, to the point where I had to call a lawyer and ask them to take it back. I can't get any help from anyone, just excuses after excuses. Be careful and don't buy from Deer Valley Homebuilders. Here's a list of things that have happened: there was a big water leak under the house because of a busted water line that got pinched, two windows that get all sweaty, the molding isn't finished, the door to the utility room doesn't have a vent for the heating unit, some fixtures are broken, there's grout missing, and the toilet seat is loose, and so on.
Deer Valley is like the worst company ever to build your modular home!
Deer Valley is like the worst company ever to build your modular home! They kinda fix some problems in your home and then the same leaks and other problems start again like a month later and deer valley is like nah, we ain't fixing our mistakes! They're really bad at saying your warranty is out when you've only been in your home for like 10 months! I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT WE BOUGHT OUR BRAND NEW MODULAR HOME FROM THEM! They kinda built our home but promised to fix it, but they just patched up the problems! Our brand new home has more problems than a used one! I wouldn't recommend Deer Valley to anyone! We're REALLY NOT HAPPY!
I used to work for Deer Valley Homebuilders, Inc
I used to work for Deer Valley Homebuilders, Inc. for a long time, like many years ago. Back then, they used to build really great homes with some amazing employees. But let me tell you, things have really gone downhill in the past 5-6 years. The work they do now is just sloppy, you know? The drywall looks terrible, the paint is a total joke, and don't even get me started on the lumpy roofs.
And here's the real kicker, they only seem to want employees who are all messed up on drugs. It's like they don't care about the ones who have been loyal to them for over 20 years. I mean, seriously, there's this one guy who's been with the company for a whopping 27 years. He's had a lot of health problems, poor guy. But instead of treating him with any kind of decency, Deer Valley treated him like crap. He had to take a couple of weeks off to deal with his pain, and in the end, he had to quit because of how they treated him. This man hardly ever missed a day of work in his 27 years, always giving it his all. But once he started getting older and facing health issues, they just didn't care anymore.
They had the nerve to ask him to come back, promising to give him all his time back. But when it came time for Christmas bonuses, guess what? They didn't give him his bonus. Can you believe that? If a company treats their most valued employees like this, just imagine how they must treat their customers' homes. It's a real shame, I tell ya.
I wish I could give no stars
I wish I could give no stars. I lost my home in Hurricane Laura and bought a Deer Valley Home. The brochures and walk-through models were amazing. But that's not what you get. I bought a 2580 sq. ft. home on a slab. The first crew that came made so many excuses for not fixing things, and only halfway fixed the things they did work on. I've had to repaint the home, my sub-flooring is separating at each OSB seam with nail pops coming through the tile, nail pops everywhere, cracks in the sheet-rock still, cracks in the grout still, broken tiles in the shower, tiles came off the tub surround held on by silicone (who does that). I've been in the home for about 11 months now and have spent more time fixing things to the standard I paid for. The amount of money I spent on this thing compared to the quality of the home is unbelievable. I've called, complained, been nice, tried to reason. If I hadn't already put so much extra money into it, I would actually send it back. There seems to be no quality control. They got their money and couldn't care less about what they left me and my family with. I wish they would reimburse me for the extra money I've spent trying to fix it myself.
Don't ever buy a Deer Valley Mobile Home unless you're ready for a never-ending, stressful process
Don't ever buy a Deer Valley Mobile Home unless you're ready for a never-ending, stressful process. We signed papers for this home in October and finally received it on our property in September 2022. When we walked through the home, we couldn't believe the sloppy work that was done. It's unbelievable that it was sent out of the factory in such a shape! They ask for a repair list, but they only fix what they want to. Our drywall, which was supposed to be fixed, is a joke. There are humps in the walls and the ceiling drywall is a mess. We even paid extra for smooth ceilings. The paint and trim work are sloppy, and the floors have little humps that they won't fix. To top it all off, we paid extra for a high-pitched roof, but it looks like a 50-year-old roof with waves all across it. They say it's not covered under warranty and they won't fix it. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. If we could do it over, we definitely wouldn't have purchased this home. Please stay away from this company and save yourself a lot of stress and heartache. Considering the money we paid for this home, you would think they would make everything as close to perfect as possible, but they don't care once they have your money. I wish I could upload pictures to show you the roof. They are not willing to fix my complaints, and I could go on and on.
I bought an Orchard House from a local seller 'bout a year ago
I bought an Orchard House from a local seller 'bout a year ago. It all started durin' the *** pandemic when prices were goin' up. Thank God I signed my paperwork before the big increase in materials. It took a bit longer than I expected 'cause of the "pandemic". My salesman was great, but sadly he left before my home was done. I was super excited and nervous at the same time. My home is the "***" 32 x 90 and can be set up in different ways. I made some changes to make it my family's forever home. I didn't deal with Deer Valley 'til the second half of the process. I paid the seller for the foundation, setup, movin', and all I had to do was get my permits and inspections and move in. I love my home and everyone who visits thinks it's beautiful and well built. If you're lookin' for a modular/manufactured home, you can't go wrong with a DEER VALLEY HOME, but be warned... make sure to DO YOUR RESEARCH on the SELLER. My home arrived with a broken wall and other damages. The seller's contractors did the work, and honestly, a bunch of kindergartners could've done better. The contractor who set up my house didn't follow the manufacturer's diagram for the piers. There were 13 piers missin' under my home. It took three tries to get him to come back and fix it. The electrician hired by the seller messed up the wirin'. I had outlets and appliances that didn't work. If you can get DVM to set up and fix your home, DO IT! I wouldn't have had all the problems I faced if DVM could handle the set up, repairs, and finishin' touches. My house wasn't set up and fixed properly until Deer Valley sent their crew to clean up the mess made by the seller's crappy contractors.

In March, we got our new Deer Valley home
In March, we got our new Deer Valley home. When they brought it, the chimney stack for the fire place was missing some parts, so they just taped it up with duct tape. Like a month ago, they finally came and put the missing parts on. But now, water keeps pouring down the chimney into the fireplace and onto the floor. They keep saying they'll come to fix it, but they never do.
Me and my hubby, we put some money down for our crib in July
Me and my hubby, we put some money down for our crib in July . It was one of them fancy show homes. Finally got the place in March 2022. But dang, there's a whole bunch of problems with it. We got pot lights danglin' from the ceiling, cabinet doors and drawers that won't close right, messed up moldin', a wobbly toilet, busted siding, and even chunks missing from the wood posts. Can you believe it? Ain't no fixin' been done yet, and it's almost been a whole year since we forked over that down payment. This is just plain silly.
Sorry to say our experience with Deer Valley ain't been good
Sorry to say our experience with Deer Valley ain't been good. We put down a 50% deposit on our modular crib in July and they told us we'd get our plans for the foundation in 6 weeks, maybe 8 tops. But here we are, 17 weeks later, and all we got is a bunch of excuses and empty promises. We tried calling, emailing, messaging, and texting, but no one's responding. We've been patient for too dang long. We want action, not more empty promises. So far, we've been dealing with this guy Paul *** and it's been a total fail. I'm sending this message to everyone's email I can find at Deer Valley, hoping someone will actually give a damn. We just want our home! We don't want to fight, but enough is enough. We need some real answers about how we're gonna move forward.

Deer Valley Home Builders sold me a messed up new home
Deer Valley Home Builders sold me a messed up new home. The home came all messed up and it's been that way ever since. Nobody wants to listen to what I'm saying about the messed up home. Deer Valley won't take responsibility. The floors inside are all wavy and uneven. Plus, the HVAC system is sucking in dirt from outside, making it impossible to clean. The Alabama Manufacturing Housing Co. checked out the home, but they ruled in favor of Deer Valley Home Builders. I don't agree with that ruling. The home is obviously damaged. I see the damage every day. The warranty expired in August 2022. What happened to the good ol' America I used to know? Why don't I have any rights as a consumer? Something is definitely messed up here. I can't give up and I won't give up. There's no way I'm just gonna sit around and let Deer Valley sell me a messed up home and act like it's all good.
We bought our house from Deer Valley in 2020 and it got moved to the location in early 2021
We bought our house from Deer Valley in 2020 and it got moved to the location in early 2021. Finally, in the spring of 2021, we were able to move in. When we inspected the property, we noticed a few things that didn't meet the standards and still needed fixing. One of the issues was with the heating and air system. Since then, we've had the heat and air company and Deer Valley workers come out to fix it, but nobody can figure out why our house doesn't heat and cool properly. One guy said that maybe some ducts got clamped during the house assembly. They told us about a specialist in Houston who could help, but that was months ago and we can't get in touch with him anymore. So now, we have to run fans all over the house to keep it at 85 degrees inside during these really hot days with a heat index of 115. Even with the AC running and set to 73, it never shuts off, and our electric bill is sky-high. The far ends of the house are hot with no air circulation, while the center is somewhat comfortable with a ceiling fan on. During the winter, it was the opposite, freezing on the ends and okay in the center. Basically, we have a new home that we can't enjoy. We don't invite guests over because nobody wants to sweat while visiting. Cooking in the evening is a no-go because it takes too long to cool the house down afterward. We were impressed with the designs and what seemed to be good quality work from Deer Valley homes. However, the service we've received (except for a few hard workers we appreciate) makes us wish we had chosen a different company. All we want is to be able to enjoy the home we bought, to live in it comfortably, and not feel like we've been taken advantage of. We haven't fully signed off on the house yet because of the AC issues. Please help us resolve this.
Don't ever buy a Deer Valley Mobile Home unless you're ready for a never-ending stressful process!
Don't ever buy a Deer Valley Mobile Home unless you're ready for a never-ending stressful process! We signed papers for this home in October '21 and finally got it on our property in September '22. We were able to move in by December '22. When we walked through the home, it was unbelievable. My husband and I couldn't believe the condition it was in or how it even left the factory. They asked for a repair list before inspecting it, but most of the repairs still haven't been done (ceiling, drywall, floor, roof, etc.). They only fixed what they wanted to! The drywall has lumps and bumps everywhere, and the floors have them too! We paid extra for smooth ceilings, but there are streaks all over. The paint and trim work is a sloppy mess. The trim doesn't even meet in some places, and they filled the cracks with caulk. The biggest issue and source of stress is our roof! We paid extra for a high pitched roof, but it looks like it's 50 years old. It's wavy and has ripples that make you feel seasick just looking at it! It's totally unacceptable. I don't understand how they can do such a half-assed job and not be held accountable to fix it! They say the roof isn't covered by any warranty. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. If we could do it over, we wouldn't have bought this home! Stay away from this company and save yourself a lot of stress and heartache. We paid a lot of money for this home, and you'd think they'd want to satisfy their customers and deliver the quality they promised. But once they had our money, they stopped caring about us and our home.
Since we moved in January 2022, we've had a problem with the air conditioning unit in our house
Since we moved in January 2022, we've had a problem with the air conditioning unit in our house. The air only blows on one side, and after 6 months, someone from the company came to check it out. They found that the unit was made incorrectly at the factory, specifically in the duct system. The person fixed it temporarily and said they would come back to fully repair it. However, it's been 4 months since then, and we're still dealing with the same issue.
To make matters worse, when we tried to use the heating unit during the cold weather, it caused the breaker to trip. We reset the breaker, but nothing happened. There's also a breaker in the air conditioning unit panel, so we reset that too. When we did, a flame shot out and blew out the lights in the laundry room. These lights were working fine before and not directly connected to the faulty wiring in the unit.
Today, on October 21, 2022, it got hot again, so we tried turning on the air conditioning, but it still doesn't work. We've reported this situation to Deer Valley multiple times, but they've only made promises to come and fix it without actually doing anything.
In addition to the electrical issues, we've noticed that lights inside the house sometimes blink. We suspect it's related to the overall electrical problem in the house. We've reported all of these issues, but nothing has been done to address them.
At this point, we don't feel safe living in this house due to the ongoing electrical problems. We believe this will continue to be an issue for the entire lifespan of the mobile home. We would like the house to be replaced since we've made every effort to resolve the problems, and our patience is running out as our warranty is almost expired.
We also forgot to mention that when the house was first assembled, half of it had no electricity. That issue has been fixed, but we suspect there are more electrical problems hidden behind the walls, floor, and attic. It's becoming difficult to trust this company to honor their factory warranty since they've been delaying repairs until our warranty is almost up. Even if they do fix the electrical system, our warranty will already be expired if any issues arise with the electrical or duct system.
As an unemployed and disabled veteran, I'm seeking assistance to get this matter resolved. Thank you.
