Associated Motorways I am complaint about the time taken for my full service

AMW matara branch has given an appointment for the service on 17/03/2023 at 9.00 AM
I have submit my vehicle sharply at 9.00 AM.
My customer number is 10128. Vehicle number is ky-0301
I have taken this appointment since I do have to start my office work at 12.30 pm when I submit the vehicle they have start the job and ask me to buy the air filter from out side since that part was not available in stores. So I bought the required part from out side and hand over to them with out any delays. But when it was at 12.15 still my car is in the que, car has been washed and wafting for the completing after wash activities works has been stopped for the lunch at this time but the car came for the service at 10.00 am, completed its full service and replace its break pads, air filter and leave the place at 12.30 pm. Customer number of this vehicle is 66316 this vehicle has done full service + replace brake pads + replace air filter

I come one hour before this vehicle, and I have done full service + replace Air filter, but still they have completed my job after 1.30 pm which I need put leave for my office. I feel like that staff has personally drag my job and I don't no what is the reason for that. I am requesting to do an investigation why my service not been completed on time. I have complain this -[protected] as verbal on the same date. Manager has called me and ask weather still the vehicle has not hand over nothing more happened.

Desired outcome: I am coming to the AMW for more than 15 years, and I would like to do an proper investigation on this. if this same behavior is happening we need to think about taking the AMW services again.

Associated Motorways Repairing the Vehicle after an accident

On 10th March 2023

I went to get my car after an accident repair and after submitting all the bills to the insurance company by AMW service and repairing center in Borella. Today, when I went there for the inspection, the person did the repair asked me to switch the headlights on to check them. They were gone! They were fine when I was putting the vehicle at the garage.

Then he tried to sell me 'his' products at a lower price, but I refused to buy them and purchased a new light for an extra cost. I complained this to the manager there, but he also was backing that person who did the repair.

If the lights were out, they could have simply repaired them and added to the bills submitted for the insurance claim. They simply ignored it to earn extra at my expense.

Please take actions for these employees, otherwise AMW would ultimately go into bankruptcy just like Sri Lanka went bankrupt. Corruption!

Desired outcome: Please refund.

Associated Motorways Bad service and rude staff

This is my 2nd complaint. My vehicle was put for repair on Peliyagoda on December 2021.

The worst worst worst service ever I have seen in this branch. I want to give a worse review for all the staff over there. Hayaz and Moses are the two people were responsible for my vehicle. They never pick the call and update anything. When you go to the service center and try to talk ti them they treat the customers very badly. Very rude staff and bad customer service.

Until today (25 August 2022) I did not receive my vehicle.

Now recently they are claiming that their system

Has a problem to update the file and not releasing my vehicle. Also I don’t know if my work is completed.

Very bad response and rude staff..

i wish any AMW team member or director can see this complaint and reply or take an action.

Associated Motorways Service

My vehicle was left in AMW on December 2021 for Repair, until now they keep saying next month it will be ready already 6 months passed. Whoever responsible I mean the service manager will not pick the call, if we go in person he is passing the ball that we have to talk to the team member when we try to reach out to the team member he is giving a very rude response that he will not answer calls he said we have to text him and whenever he feels to reply he will reply us until that he saying do not disturb me by keep calling.

I am totally struck and I don’t know where I can get help to get my vehicle back.

Associated Motorways Service

I installed new lower arms of the front tyres of Alto 800 car. After a day of drive I experience the steering wheel is not balanced with power steering. Having said all the due, I experienced a poor service from Negombo Pitstop.
Second, I had to drive my vehicle to another garage to repair a misfire caused by water spill which was indicated by the symbols in my dashboard. I had to spend money on this damage caused during the washing of my car in the service.

Associated Motorways nissan x trail 2016 hybrid compact suv - cvt failure - manufacturing fault

I purchased a X-Trail Brand New 2016 Hybrid T32 vehicle from AMW (Associated Motorways (PVT) Limited) on 11 July 2016 at a price of Sri Lankan Rupees 115, 00, 000.00

At the driven mileage of 10, 662km there was a warning message as “HV SYSTEM WARM UP – PLEASE WAIT IN PARK”

I contacted the Nissan agent in Sri Lanka; AMW and they asked me to send the vehicle to their service centre as soon as possible. I was on a family reunion tour for 07 days but I had to cancel last three nights and handover the vehicle at 11, 066km to AMW for repairing.

After three days AMW called me and said the vehicle needs to replace with anew CVT and they will import it from Japan and fix within 04 to 6 weeks. However, they did not mention or inform me regarding the technical issue. I found the error codes from one of my friends working at the same company.
The error codes were;P0775, P0776 - OBD-II - Pressure Control Solenoid B Performance / Malfunction.

AMW did not send or disclose any details regarding the mechanical errors of the CVT even if I requested it for several times. As the customer I have the right to know what issue was there in the CVT of a NISSAN brand new vehicle?
After four weeks of time they sent me a courtesy vehicle but I lost many of the important aspects my business and personal life due to the unavailability of my vehicle for four weeks.

AMW contacted me on 13 June, 2017 and requested to collect my vehicle and return the courtesy vehicle but, they still do not provide me the technical details or scanned reports of the error caused by the Nissan Brand New X Trail.

They also do not provide me the details for replaced Brand New CVT which they have (said) imported from Japan. They have only given me a serial number of replaced CVT.

As a brand loyal customer I have the right to know about my vehicle, it’s failures, it’s newly replaced CVT’s details in black and white.
I have lost my trust on x trail vehicle.

I’m sure that they have not replaced a new CVT through manufacturer. They have just put a reconditioned CVT and they have cheated their customer.
Later I found this CVT issue has been continuing from 2015 up 2017. Sales manager at AMW also confirmed that there have been this manufacturing fault (NISSAN-JAPAN) from 10 to 20 percent of the vehicles.

Assistant general manager - after sales (@AMW) says that they imported a new CVT from Japan but one of thier directors says that the CVT was in stock. Details they given were contradictory.

Now they want me to pay for the courtesy vehicle; LKR 5000 per day and parking fees for my X Trail; LKR 500 per day. This is their customer service.
This is how AMW treat their customers.

Where is the consumer rights? Where is the after sales service? Why AMW cheats customers? Why they cannot influence Nissan Motor company-Japan to RECALL these vehicles affected by the manufacturing fault?

I have lodged a complaint at Consumer Affairs Authority and looking forward to a reasonable solution...
