Audley Travel Myself and two friends were scheduled for a special trip on May 15 but cannot go due to Covid-19

Myself and two friends were scheduled for a special trip on May 15 but cannot go due to Covid-19. We have asked Audley Travel for a full refund for the amounts we paid, but they have not agreed to refund any money. They only offer to postpone the trip for up to two years or change the destination within the same timeframe. The future is uncertain due to Covid-19, and we cannot commit to traveling until it is safe. It seems unfair for them to refuse refunds during this global crisis with travel restrictions and the U.S. State Department's Level 4 travel ban.

Just recently, my son and I booked our very first international trip for this coming August -destination ***. It was to be our dream vacation. Unfortunately, our dream is now a nightmare. We have invested roughly $4600, and will need to add an additional $8000 for the remaining balance in May. However, with the rise of the Corona-19 virus, I cannot and will not invest that additional amount for the trip. I am 69 years old and a diabetic. I do not feel that there is any way for it to be safe to travel by the end of this summer. And postponing the vacation is not a plausible option. My $5000 is tied up in the trip, and there is no guarantee as to whether or not I will be physically capable of taking the trip one or two more years down the road. On top of that, I have lost my part time retirement job, and my 401K has been largely diminished. My son's full time job is also in jeopardy. These are obviously not normal times, and all are being asked to do their part to help out. As such, I am imploring Audley Travel to waive their deposit "no refund" policy. Again, these are extraordinary times, and call for extraordinary actions. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Myself and two friends were scheduled for an *** Trip on May 15 but cannot go because of Covid-19. We have asked Audley Travel for a full refund for any amount that each of us has paid, but they have not offered to refund any money at all. Instead they only offer a postponement of the trip up to two years, or a change in location of the trip up to two years. The future is very uncertain because of Covid-19 and we cannot commit to going to *** until it is safe to do so. I believe it is bad business to refuse to refund our money since this is an unprecedented global crisis with *** borders now closed and the Travel Ban from the U.S. State Dept. Level being a Level 4 (the highest travel ban level).
