Went to the Auto Lenders in Exton, PA (about an hour from my house) on Friday, 2/16/24 (11am) to test drive a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Our sales agent was John S. My husband and I drove the Jeep and immediately noticed a loud whistle/small blender sound whenever we accelerated. When we returned to the dealership, we immediately questioned John about the sound because this would be the 5th Jeep that I would own and my other Jeeps never made this noise. He said that it was a different type of engine and once the car warms up that noise will go away. We took him at his word and I made the decision to purchase the Jeep. My husband left and I stayed behind to complete paperwork, etc. I met with the Finance agent and went through signing all of the paperwork and towards the end he tells me that they owe me an Inspection. I immediately questioned why the Jeep wasn't inspected already and they told me that the Jeep came from NJ and that I would need to return to Auto Lenders within 7 days to have the Jeep inspected. I told them that was not going to work and that I wanted the Jeep inspected that day. I had already been there for 3 hours and now I had to wait for them to squeeze in the Jeep for inspection. 2 hours go by and the Service guy comes out and tells me that the Jeep passed inspection but that I would need to come back out to have tiny cracks in the windshield repaired. I was not happy as these imperfections and inspection should have been done before I purchased the Jeep. They knew I was coming out to see 3 of their cars. They told me the windshield guy would be there on Wednesday and to bring it then. I told them I have to work and that arrangement was not acceptable. I asked to speak with the Service Manager and he was not there and the Service guy said he could get the Sales Manager. I walked out to the Sales Manager's desk and began to explain the situation and he interrupted me to introduce himself to me. I stopped him and told him that we had met already. In fact, he was the first person my husband and I saw when we arrived that morning and he came up to us to introduce himself knowing my name since I had made an appointment. When I told him that, he asked me if I was sure and I said well, it was 5 hours ago so maybe you forgot. Anyway, after going back and forth a bit, he told me that he would have someone come to my house on Wednesday morning to pick up the Jeep and have it repaired and would return it afterwards. The Sales Manager told me that John would contact me on Tuesday to arrange the pick up time. I was satisfied with this arrangement and went home with the Jeep. Since I live about an hour away from Exton, the Jeep had plenty of time to warm up but it continued to make the noise that I had questioned John about. When I got home, I immediately sent an email to John that the Jeep made that noise the entire way home and that I wanted the noise checked out when they repaired my windshield. He responded via email that yes of course they will take care of it. I left the Jeep parked in my driveway all weekend and did not drive it at all. John emailed me on Monday morning asking me to call him. He needed a copy of our car insurance card with my name on it which I immediately forwarded to him. He also asked where my husband and I like to eat because they wanted to give us something because they felt bad. I never received anything. Tuesday comes and I haven't heard from John about the pickup. I call and leave a message on his voice mail. I never get a return call and I call again. I was told that John had left for the day and I ask to speak with a manager and Tye(?) Jones, who tells me he is the General Manager, returns my call. He assures me that someone would be picking up my Jeep the following morning and I tell him that they also need to check for the source of the noise that I had heard on my way home that Friday. I get an email (7am) from John the next morning (Wednesday) telling me his team would be picking my Jeep up early that morning, which they did. At the end of the day, Tye calls to tell me that as they were fixing the cracks they noticed other defects in the windshield and that they agreed to repalce the windshield but that it couldn't be done until Friday. I told him that was fine as I still had my mother's car and hadn't driven the Jeep since I brought it home that Friday. Friday comes and I have not heard from anyone at Auto Lenders. Keep in mind that all of our communication thus far has been either through my cell phone or email. When I get home from work, I realize that service guy called my house phone at 2pm telling me the windshield was replaced and asking if I was picking up the Jeep or were they returning it. At no time had I ever given them my house phone number to communicate during this whole fiasco. I called John as soon as I heard the message and they were closed for the day so I called first thing Saturday morning. John told me he would call me back in 5 minutes. I figured they may be busy so I email John twice aftwards and never heard back from him. I called and asked for Tye Jones and they told me he was transferred to a different location. No one ever returned my call on Saturday and I still didn't have my car. Monday comes around and I call and email John first thing in the morning. He tells me that he is working on getting my Jeep to me and that he'll call me back. He never returns my call and Monday goes by and I still don't have my Jeep. Tuesday morning I call and email again. I ask to speak to a general manager and I spoke with someone named Larry. He assures me that someone will be delivering my Jeep that day. I talk to John later on and he tells me that the service people said that the noise I was hearing was from the turbo engine and that it is normal. I tell him that is not what he told me when I first met with him the day I bought the Jeep. I then ask if I could return the Jeep. He tells me that they have a strict no return policy. I ask if I can trade it for a different car and he says that I'll lose money but that they were going to do something for me which has not happened. Disgusted with the whole experience and will never buy another car from Auto Lenders.
