Mixed Experience with Webuyanycar.com
My experience with Webuyanycar.com was mixed. The online valuation process was convenient, but the final offer was lower than expected. The staff at the center were friendly, but the waiting time was longer than anticipated. Overall, the service was efficient, but improvements can be made in providing more accurate valuations and reducing wait times.

I entered information on we buy any car online and was quoted a purchase price of $7000 and $8500. I scheduled an appointment for Thursday, June 8, 2023. When the salesman called to confirm the appointment, I asked why the price so different. I was told the "Limited" edition was worth $1500 more. When he checked the VIN, it was discovered my car was a "limited" and the quote was now $8500. I made an appointment and had the car detailed the day before. I took it to We Buy Any Car in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The salesman began to check it over and tried to find as many flaws as possible. He stated the appraisal price was determined by the computer, and not him. The initial price offered was $3000. He claimed the car would need to be repainted, and many other things done to get it "showroom ready". The battery was replaced in October 2022 and the alternator April 2023, and both still under warranty. He also claimed there would be an addition $325 reduction in the price for the cost to transfer the title. After some going back and forth, a higher price was offered, but was not acceptable. I left and went to CarMax and was offered $9000 on the spot. They stated the car was in excellent condition and would be sold for much more than the asking price. I am so happy we were not cheated by We Buy Any Car. The company is corrupt and the salesman are scripted to promote the corruption. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Steer Clear of We Buy Any Car. "Now"
Desired outcome: I would like others to beware of this company's sales practices

Selling my car
I took my car to WeBuyAnycar after receiving a quote of £10,000 online. When I arrived Mr Patel inspected my car and after a long wait said he can pay me £9188 over £800 less than the online valuation. I had taken the car to be fully valeted and it looked like new. But eventually I accepted their offer. Mr Patel said Head Office wanted to see the transactions when I bought the car last October, so I came hope and screen shot the transactions as requested.
This started a series of calls saying they could not accept screen shots in spite of asking for them. They insisted on a bank statement showing the 2 transactions. But because I only asked for annual statements, they could only provide the statement by post. After many discussions with WeBuyAnycar finance department and Barclays Bank, I managed to obtain what they needed. The process took 4 days before I received the money into my bank account.
It made the whole process very unsettling and gave me days of anxiety, which was totally unnecessary. I would NEVER recommend WEBuyAnycar to anyone selling their car... Keith Mantle
Desired outcome: Compensation for wasting a lot of my time and causing me unnecessary stress
Sold car to webuyanycar
I sold my Vauxhall Astra reg number DE05 YFD to webuyanycar in Blackpool in April. In September I received a parking fine charges letter as the new owner of the Astra had parked over the time and fined £100. As webuyanycar had not informed DVLA that they had bought the car off me and then sold that car to someone else I am being harrassed by Parkingeye aseven though I have received a slip from DVLA stating I no longer own the Astra I am still having to pay the fine that the new owner has incurred at a place I have never been to. I have sent Parkingeye the letter from webuyanycar saying I sold the car to them in April this year. Parkingeye are taking no notice of it and sent me a third email letter saying I have 28 days to send proof I no longer own the car, I have hidden disabilities, fibromyalgia and severe depression plus aspergers syndrome. This harrassment is affecting the depression and suicidal thoughts badly and I am very distressed about this harrassment by Parkingeye.
Desired outcome: I would like Parkingeye and webuyanycar investigated as they are going against the email I sent them to stop harrassing me for the fine.

dishonest as you can get
I left this review on Google and they responded with more lies: "Bunch of scam artist trying to get something for nothing. They offered me $50 on a vehicle worth $4800 in Kelly Blue Book. Even in poor condition, it was worth $1800. The airbags were worth nearly $1000 alone even if they were just going to use it for parts. I never even returned the guy'...
Read full review of We Buy Any CarCustomer support & unfair review censoring
My husband Zachary and I called and spoke with a representative who put us in touch with a representative at the branch located at 1647 Butler Plank Road, Glenshaw, PA 15116 and worked with an individual named Craig who was incredibly rude and condescending, and refused to give us any formal information on the "guesstimate" he was giving us - instead started to lecture on how long he has been in the business, etc, etc - at which point we decided to leave as there was nothing product coming from the conversation. Customers have every right to ask for formal information so that they can make an informed decision and the fact that this company denied the information to me and then are using that to say that I was not a real customers is completely unacceptable and frankly a deliberate and unethical means of censoring what may be perceived as a negative review but is LEGITIMATE. Shame on this company for bad business practices and trying to distort FACT.
I was so appalled by the experience that I wrote a review on Trustpilot Reviews which is the only place that you can write a review and did so.
The company turned around and replied with the following:
"We have no record of this person nor any inspection of a vehicle."
Complete Lie. We were there around 3:00 - the appointment time given to us over the phone by their representatives.
They do not have the right to censor reviews just because they do not like them and by citing that I was not a real customer who dealt with them. Liars and cheats.
I wasted time and the man appraise the car for so small sum
I wanted to sell my car as quickly as possible; therefore I decided to meet the guy from www.webuyanycar.com. At the beginning, this man offered me $5, 000 for my car, which was in really great condition. I thought that it would very great deal, but when we met the man told me that he could offer me only $350. Seriously? I was so upset that he offered me small sum for good car and that I have wasted a lot of time.
Bait and Switch
My recent experience at the Springfield, PA office (Route 420, Woodland Avenue, Morton, PA) left me feeling like I’d been sucker-punched in the gut. Classic bait-and-switch, flim-flam tactics. My 82-year-old mother passed away in October and I was left to dispose of her 2011 Chevy Cruze that she was still making payments on. On January 30th, I took the car to the Springfield location. After inspecting and test driving it, I was verbally quoted a figure of $9200.00, well under blue book for this make and model in very good condition with less than 14, 000 miles. Troy, did not provide anything in writing and now I see why.
I walked away from that “deal”, but was contacted on February 13th by another Mr. Yelson who said that the market had changed and he could now offer $9735.00 for the car! This was still less than what I had hoped to get for the car, but a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush so they say. I called them back on February 17th to agree to the increased offer and make an appointment. I spoke with Troy again who confirmed that his final offer would be $9486.00 ($9735 minus $249.00 standard document fee) pending any changes in mileage. (The car was still well under 14, 000 miles.) I went to their offie after work on February 20 to complete the deal.
Long story short, when Troy handed my debit card back to me, I asked him how much he debited my account. Based on the figures stated above and the amount still owed on the car, I knew the amount that should have been debited. I learned that Troy was completing the deal based on a figure of $9211.00; NOT $9735.00. (It’s a good think I asked!) When I became upset, he offered to cancel the deal but said he could no longer offer $9735.00. Apparently, the market had changed again (he said, pointing to his computer screen).
Bottom Line to your customers if they MUST do business here, be sure they know how much money is being debited from their account BEFORE handing over their card and please instruct them to insist on getting everything in writing.
Waste of time. Dishonest.
Online valuation of $5200 was not bad. Then I went to webuyanycar queens. My 2005 Buick was honestly in great condition-- just over 100, 000 miles, but immaculate interior, exterior great except a few minor scratches on the bumpers, and runs like new still. After going over the outside of the car and doing a drive around the block they gave me a valuation of 4100. I said his was quite low and that they had taken off too much for minor scratches that will just buff out. I go them to come up to 4300. I said if they could get me up to 4500 I would take their offer, knowing it was a bit less than I could get on Craigslist or Autotrader, but appreciating the convenience.
Then the other guy at the place decided he wanted to go out and take another look at it. Suddenly he comes back in and says that there is paint somewhere on part of the frame under the trunk, which could indicate frame damage. My car had been in one very minor fender bender where a person bumped me at a stoplight. They were going slow and had a grill guard higher than my trunk so only the trunk was damaged. There was no possible way there could have been frame damage from this accident. I am the original owner of the car so I also know that it was in no other accidents. I had thie trunk replaced by OEM parts at the GM dealer. I also had the insurance claim, repair bill, and carfax all showing there was no frame damage. I also asked them, and their own report at webuyanycar ( which they claimed is more strict than carfax) said no frame damage. Anyway, after that I could not get them above $3100, which was a complete joke.
By the way, I sold the car 2 weeks later for $4800. Save yourself the time and the headache and price your car well and sell it yourself through craigslist or autotrader...you have to sort through a few scammers but it is easier to delete a few ridiculous emails than wasting 1/2 a day at webuyanycar.

Extremely poor service
My wife and I decided to sell our car through webuyanycar.com. We were quoted a price and agreed on the sale. We were told that we would receive prompt payment for our car. It is now a month later and despite numerous calls to 'customer service' we are yet to receive the money proised to us. instead of an understanding ear, we were told by one customer service person that they do not work for webuyanycar.com, but that they just deal with teh overflow of calls from their customer service line. Obviously there are so many people complaining about this company that they cannot keep up with the sheer number of calls. At this point, we consider this theft and intend to contact the department of fair trading to address this issue.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I am having the exact same problem! I sold my vehicle to the 2 and a half weeks ago and despite numerous phone calls have received no payment and have been told 3 times "Your money will be processed tomorrow" and that statement was made 3 times by their supervisor. I would not advise anyone to sell their car to this company!
Dishonest
On Friday July 30, 2011, I entered information about my 2002 Chevrolet Cavaliere on webuyanycar.com's website. I intentionally undersold the car – conservatively identifying it as in FAIR condition - NOT good or excellent. The car had just passed PA inspections only weeks earlier. I received a quote of $1160. This quote was about half of the Kelly Blue Book...

I have found 2 cars that this firm do not buy, firstly I tried my Kitcar a A.C Cobra kit and I had to write a email to request if they would give me a price on this and the responded with we can not .
Then I tied my 1960 anglia and again could not find it to be quoted on through there site,
They are not only falsly advertising, there name is a lie aswell .
If you can do somthing about this, like prove a point to the world that this site is taking the P, then it would be appriciated.

Hello
Katie here from webuyanycar. Firstly I’m sorry that it’s taken you to leave this comment for this to be picked up. We do buy any car and I will personally ensure I get the quotes to you. Have to say you have some quite unusual cars which is the reason why they weren’t listed on the site but we will still provide quotes/buy.
If you would still like me to give you a quote for the two cars could you please send me the following details to talktous@webuyanycar.com and I’ll sort out the quotes for you. We don’t buy many specialist cars so it might also be worth checking out specialist dealers.
I’ll need the following: Registration, mileage and year of manufacture of both cars. For the kit car I will also need; the make of the kit itself, the engine make and who built it.
Could you please also send pictures of the cars?
Many thanks,
Katie
