Autofix Reconditioned engine

From here:
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/autofixpartsplaza-c287503.html

I agree with the complaint and am through the process of sorting out my complaints myself, I feel like I have been frauded by these people.

I am not afraid to reveal myself, I am Joey with the S2000, I have returned from the garage just now having spoken to Imran and a VERY helpful MOT guy name Nadeem (not sure if I spelt it correctly)

I booked in for reconditioned engine which on the receipt says "low mileage engine"
fine... as long as the job is done. I was also assured by Ozman? Not sure how to spell either that there were going to be all replacement parts. Wrong...

My cylinder head and bottom end cover was reused along with my rocker cover. Again...
Fine!

BUT! Prior to having my car for collection Ozman agreed that I may come up and view the engine with my own eyes that was going in, we turned up late as traffic was murder and I wasn't able to view the engine... Again... FINE!

BUT, prior to the car being taken in I had taken the rocker cover off and the head off myself and had determined that cylinder 1 rings had gone and something really funky on cylinder 2 had happened and the piston slapped the valves and smacked the cams into the rocker cover and damaged some of the oil running plates. They should have replaced the rocker cover right?

Seeing as they haven't done that I am now worried that they used the same cams (which the engine rebuilder assures me he hasn't) as the profile on the cams were ruined by the meeting with the rocker cover. Although the rebuilder himself says not reused I am still reserved on the matter.

Other problems are the car doesn't pull straight, the steering wheel points to the right but the car pulls to the left, the exhaust is blowing from where the manifold meets the cat, air-con does not work anymore (not cold), two scratches on my front bumper which they can only offer to buy (or charge me?) a touch up pen.

NOT satisfied and I am a genuine customer writing my view on this.

Imran offered for me to go down today before 2pm and they will sort it out for me but I was there for nearly 3 hours and nothing was solved, wasted my time and my petrol.

Nadeem (MOT guy) however sympathised with me and even offered half his lunch to me as he knew I hadn't eaten, so Kudos to Nadeem but seriously unhappy with the rest of the service.

I feel like I was conned out of half of the deal and if the problems do not get resolved next week I will be contacting the CAB the office of fair trade and I WILL be taking them to court.

If you guys at AutoFix are reading this review then please get your act together and sort me out before I take the next step.

Got the car back on Saturday 24th of July. Extended warranty recieved with thanks.

Car seemed to run fine, didn't want to risk it breaking again so drove a very civilised and slow 65mph 60 miles home. Have been usin it for work only and the traffic driving seems suited to run the engine in as i cant rag it to and from work.
I thought ok well it's fixed now so I won't persue the matter anymore. They weren't the nicest people to be in contact with and I don't have the time of day for them. Car is fine so why go through any more trouble.

Great huh? No...

It's broken again today. 500 miles on and the bottom end is making the same noise again. It got delayed lasttime as they were ordering bearings from Honda and ha to wait. I would have thought that they would have done the job properly this time. How wrong was I?

Imran and Omar will be at work at 9am and I'm sure try will love having to talk to me again.

**** just got off the phone to Imran, he will speak to Omar and Tullah (engine rebuild guru) and call me back. Maximum wait is 15-20 mins. We'll see.

No call from the "Boss" was told by one of his extremely well trained staff that he was forwarded my number and that he was going to call.

Text Imran to ask what the status was for picking up my car tomorrow, no reply, no answer to phone calls either...

I am VERY aware that the owner of the business has read my last comment which is why I felt I needed to start a new complaint in my subject heading.

The engine blew again from the crank within 330 miles of getting the car back, I suspect that they reused some of my conrods or pistons from my previously blown engine.

The car was picked up from me on Tuesday the 1st of June if I remember correctly and was told the car will be ready on Friday the 2nd of July, it then went to possible Monday the 5th, Tuesday the 6th and Wednesday the 7th.

ALL days which I would make arrangements for so I could pick up the car, luckily I work freelance in IT but I did have jobs those days which I required a car for and I was unable to and it has cost me money.

The deadline was then pushed to the 13th of July which is tomorrow. They had already replaced the parts but when they fired it up the banging from the crank was still there, now they are replacing everything and not risking a chance of me coming back. Shouldn't they have done that in the first place and given me a GENUINE reconditioned unit? Not reuse so many of my previous parts?

They are going to touch up my bumper which was scratched in the previous visit with a TOUCH UP PEN which I am not happy about, I felt like asking them how would they feel if I scratch their car and just offer to touch it up with a TOUCH UP PEN.

The Air con was not working also when I got the car back last time, when I asked Imran about that the first time he said, maybe can arrange someting as they do not provide that service at the garage... Why is there a seperate tab on your website labelled air conditioning?

When I call up there is never an answer on first time as I thinkt hey have saved my number into their phones and Imran is always claiming he is busy. If he says he'll call me back in 30 mins I will be waiting for at least 2 hours and that's if I call him first too.

That and after I repeatedly called the office phone maybe 20 times I had one of their staff pick up the phone and shout "F*@K OFF" before slamming the phone down.

I feel like I have not been treated correctly and unfairly. The contact has been appalling and the job has been appalling. I will wait until I receive my car back to see how I feel, maybe I will just be glad to be shot of them.

This escapade has cost me money in work, insurance, road tax and I will probably want to get the front bumper resprayed at some point. Not only that but my phone calls, having to travel to pick the car up, and the STRESS that I have had to go through dealing with these monkeys!

I also requested to speak to the owner today, which will be in the office in about an hours time. Imran has also said that he will email his boss to call me, his name is Tulla I think.
