very poor service, attitudes
I have noticed poor service at Mountain City Auto zone several times in the past, but had marked it off as my perception or just employees having a bad day.
However yesterday, 2-1-2017, I tried again to shop at the store. The clerks, several working were slightly occupied, but I picked my item got in one of three lines, and waited till a female counted change in her drawer, lengthy, counting her money, as a male an female were buying a battery, in front of me. The lines to the left cleared then started again several times as I waited patiently for several minutes. Just as it was my turn, the clerk, walked from behind the counter and went outside to install the battery, for the person in front of me? No sorry, no asking another to help me pay, nothing just a stare .
I placed my items on the counter and left, Never to Return to Your Store Again!
This seems to be a pattern in this store, I have noticed very poor service, and enter expecting this, and usually it is just that way. It's not my imagination, and there are a few helpful individuals that work there, but several truly take pleasure in rude, service.
autozone
On the 20 dec i was in autozone 1051 sams crossing. After standing in line for about 10 min i was next when a female came in and received service right away. On 24 dec same store, i was in line again with 4 customers behind for about 15 min when a white male came in and received svc right away. Every one saw this. On 27 dec i went to the same store since i stay down the street off of killiam st. I came in and out the store about three times and finally got in line. After standing there about 15 min i finally got to be next for svc. When i was called up i was told let me wait on some of these other customers by a white salesman in line. This was the parts or svc line not the cash out line, and i was trying to get my vehicle charging sys checked. The svc in this store sucks i will go to another store from now own.
Sincerely
employees not giving right parts
I live in Phoenix, AZ. My son in law went to the Auto Zone off of 59th Ave and McDowell Rd in Phoenix. He went to buy the part for my 1999 Ford Taurus. A young lady that was on duty on Sunday Oct 9, 2016 called another Auto Zone off of 43rd Ave and Indian School Rd and gave who ever was on the other line at that store. Read the wrong part to him and sold it to my son-in-law. My son-in-law did the job but was the wrong part because the car would not go into drive. Three hours of useless work to fix my car. Now I have to miss work for two days and all the money, wasted time because your employees didn't get it right. Then to find out that the store on 59th Ave and McDowell Rd had the right part all this time. I want my money back from the core and what ever they told my kids that they were charging me. All together I got charged for the same part plus all the gas and time paying my son-in-law for his time.
I returned products, unopened and intact but they have not credited my account in 30 days.
I purchased some products my mechanic said it turned out I didn’t need. I returned them to AutoZone, got a return receipt, but after 30 days the $79.38 still hasn’t been returned to my account.
I called the customer service number and Ron, a pleasant guy, took my information, transaction number and date, store number, register number. He put me on hold and came back telling me I have to organize a conference call between me, my bank and the department that handles returns but he can’t give out that number.
I went back to the store where I returned the items and assistance tells me they “Upgraded” the system and have had nothing but trouble with returns and over charges.
I want a full refund. I have shopped with AutoZone before but I will never shop there again s why would they refund my money after this?
There are other parts stores out there.
brgite manager at woodland hills and district manager
The previous manager at wood land hills auto zone was very nice also the district manager the white guy. The present ones are so racist only like their own kind and very unkind to customers who are not hispanic. Please adverse diversity which you explain in your company

In my opinion, autozone.com does not go the extra mile, it does not even come close to the starting line. Just a bunch of arrogant employees, that claim that they do not have the power to solve problems. To give you an idea how bad this company is, even after politely calling the ceo's office, over 3 hours ago, and being told that I would hear back quickly, well it's over 3 hours!
I started to deal with this on 12/31/14 with "live chat" who although polite, could do nothing to resolve the situation, now 5 days later, I still do not have the parts (Actually they never shipped them), so I go back on live chat, and i'm told there is nothing they can do. I call customer no service #, the poor guy that answered, spoke very strange english, but at least I was able to communicate, and it appeared that he did everything he could to be of help, when I asked for a manager, things went down hill, "angie [protected]" all she could do is nonstop talking, while I was trying to explain the problem, she kept getting louder and louder, every time I asked her to listen to the problem. So finally I called jean stucky the ceo's secretary [protected]), she was very pleasant and caring, I gave her the information, and she promised a return call with a resolution, no call as of yet. Mr. William c. Rhodes iii must not have much respect for his costumers, you know the ones that pay his astronomical salary of ("forbes") $32.86 million for 5 yrs starting in 2012. I wonder how many autozone board members actually shop at autozone, and are happy how their customers are treated, (Don't worry I will contact them too) I also wonder how stock holders will react after they read my story all over social media. Mr. Rhodes, i'm sure that my $150 +- order does not mater to you, and I was forced to cancel it as I needed that part on a timely basis. But sir, I hope that it maters to thousand of potential costumers that will shop elsewhere after reading what I was put through.
Good luck,
Gus
Today on 3/13/16, I went to auto zone to purchase a part. As I was being helped and talking, Mauricio, the assistant cut me off and went to answer the phone. He was talking to another customer on the line as if I was not there and he was not helping me. After about 3 minutes, I asked him to put that customer on hold as I was first and being helped. He kept talking to the other customer and just ignored me. I was more furious and finally he put the person on hold. I told him that he was very unprofessional and that was poor customer service. He just looked at me, and I said, “And Mauricio, you didn’t even apologize.” He just acted like nothing happened and he asked me what else I needed. I told him if this is the way auto zone is teaching their employees that the customers in the store are less important than they are wrong. I also told him that I have been in lines where this has happened and the person behind me called on got his answer and didn’t have to wait to get to the front. I was in complete disbelief when he asked me if he could finish helping the other customer and I told him, “no, I am just going to pay. He can wait 1 minutes while I pay.” Wow, his actions showed me complete lack of professionalism. I than asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the manager and there was another there if I wanted to speak to him. I knew that by talking to the other manager, they would just sweep my complaint under the rug and probably laugh about it. I have 4 cars and purchase a lot of parts and I would be happy to take my business elsewhere and avoid feeling like I was invisible and disrespected. Mauricio certainly did not get his title by being respectful and being professional with the customers. I would like to talk to a regional manager and resolve this issue. Deanna, El Centro, CA
Unfortunately Autozone tells all employees that the phone must be answered within 3 rings and to not just put the person on hold without getting the info for the part written down 1st. Crazy, I know, I work there, but I believe that they want the person on the phone reeled in for a sale since you are already in the store. Definitely don't agree and feel like an #### when I have to do it, as politely as possible mind you! Lol
Heard advertisement that if your check engine light came on AutoZone would test it for free. Took car into store they told me that they did not test but I could buy the device there also they tried to send me to auto store up the street.
It was bad customer service and I feel it was false advertisement not being able to do want they said they would do. I will not shop at AutoZone again and will let others know.
i quit autozone--i was a mgr there for 6 yrs--i witnessed on many occaisons used parts being sold as new----wake up people----they are lying cheating thieves
had wrong price posted on an OBD II scanner. when this was brought to the manager's attention he insulted my intelligence by telling me the other OBD II scanner was the best deal for my mone and that the one I wanted with the incorrect sale price was known for destroying the computer system of my vehicle.
RENTED A ITEM AND TOOK IT BACK WITH THE RECIEPT AND THEY WOULD NOT GIVE MY MONEY BACK. THEY PUT IT ON A CARD. I DID NOT WANT A CARD AND THEY SAID THAT IS HOW YOU GET IT. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN . I WILL SHOP ONLY AT ADVANCE NOW.
I had bought an Engine from Autozone of Ocean Springs Ms. and they told me it comes with a 75, 000 mile warranty. When that engine started giving me problems, they said that it wasn't there problem or it has nothing to do with there part of the engine. Now I stuck with a 1, 000 dollar repair bill.
They can only test certain cars, mostly newer, and you never paid for anything so you can't "Not shop there again" when you weren't a customer in the first place.
Really what kind of management as far as I know customer always come first all he had to do is price match the product according to the price tag where the product was found next time call the Regional office they will take care of you
new return policies have come down to stores. the ### it going to hit the fan. autozone has been losing millions on fraud return and return of product in not sellable conditions.

Engine warranty
I am a disabled vet. that was on his way to a new life, one of promise. I had a motor burn up in Blythe CA. took every cent I had and purchased a new Sure Fire motor from Auto Zone. This motor made it 157 miles before oil started pouring out of rear main seal... That was 5 months ago, I have contacted Attorney General's Office, BBB, consumer's affairs etc. even with all of this here I sit 5 months later...
These people have no honor, the public should be made aware... the warranty they offer isn't worth the paper it's wrote on.
poor upper management
So upset with grand rapids district manager, and payroll department. First off I have been a store manager for over 4 years with one of my previous employers. I was promised a store manager position at Autozone after a year. Then they asked me to run the commercial department. My district manager said “if you grow this department, I will get you your store manager position. Well I finished off the year positive. Grew the business 10%. Had a bad start off for the new physical year. And he took me out of commercial and put me back into assistant store manager. Then was told I had to wait another year to get my store. On the payroll side it has been a month after I took my vacation and I still have not received any vacation pay. Even after I talked to them 2 weeks ago and they said” it will be on the next paycheck”
Andrew Morgan was extremely rude to me when I visited the store. I told him I didn't know which part number I needed and he shouted that I'm just a stupid girl, laughed and walked away. This sexist pig should be fired immediately! I have contacted a lawyer and will proceed to sue Autozone for this lewd and inappropriate behavior.
On Saturday I was terminated under false pretenses the statements made where false these individuals went as far as falsifying information to have me terminated. Yet we have employees in that store which came after a customer with a bat and nothing happened. We have family members working together.
My car runs hot and burn out they try to give me free antifreeze and that bites out as now I need a flush and I have 2 kids I can't pay that I have to many bills to pay I really need my car and this is really hurt because I always go to auto zone now I feel like I can't go there no more
Under staffed and rude when asked if the had more the one customer service associate
I will never shop at the quail roost store on 126th Street in Miami fl. The lune was out the door. I seen 2 employees just mulling around.
Went to autozone store in Duncanville TX on wheatland Saturday the 28th of july. Bought some parts and asked the sales clerk if they have military discount, he replied no we hate the military! I been serving since 1979 joined up in Duncanville after high school and that really pissed me off.
i purchased a belt and returned it. the store at Belmont st in Brockton mass refused to give me credit for the return.
the customer service individual constantly has no customer service qualities ever.
it is more of a pain to buy from autozone than anyone else.

I have a friend that works for autozone he has worked there for almost a year, he has been a mechanic since i have known him, also a fireifghter and emt.He has also been a manager at a ford dealer. He ran into some bad times so he started at auto zone. He has asked time and time again to be a sales manager my friend has so many people that come in to see him that you usually have to wait to even get to talk to him and even after all this time still is a pee on. I went in the other night and there was a new girl being trained to be a manager she asked what i needed and i told her i needed headlight fluid, joking around and what does she do tries to look it up and went to ask the manager on duty how to find it in the computer or where to find it in the store.I guess the only way to move up at autozone it either have a rack or be a brown noser. So take my advice find an auto parts place where they actually move the people up that have a clue and can actually work on cars. And just another point this same store has a guy that doesnt have a clue either he has given me the wrong part almost every time he told me when i bought new u joints for my truck i ruined the old ones because i greased them to often i didnt wait til they started to sqeek to grease them, this same guy can from a restaraunt as a manager and another time i went in to get glow plugs for my diesel and he tried to sell me spark plugs because he said there was no such thing as glow plugs and that if i didnt know that i should take my vehicles to a shop to get them worked on so i didnt screw them up.

bad customer service by manager
For all my Killeen/Fort Hood people do not go to the autozone on rancier. Not even for a light-bulb. The manager has poor customer service and acted as if he wouldn't return a part without a receipt and I never opened the package or left autozone parking lot, I only had the part 5 min when I realized I needed help getting the grill of my truck off! It worked out though! I got the same piece $3 cheaper (military discount) and put on for me at o'reilly on ctxpress way. But it is bothering me that this black man would kind of act like I would try to lie about a $10 part and he was in my face less than 5 min ago selling me a used part in a stapled package. Maybe he thought I had a stapler in the car and restapled it. Maybe it's just me but I will never go there again or recommend them! So Fort Hood Family no autozone on Rancier!

employees and service
The worst experience I ever have. Today, we went there to buy the head light for my car. We asked the sellers that we wanted a set of 2009 Honda accord head light when we purchased it we asked the seller to make sure it is the right one I buy. When I went home and tried to inserted the head light to my car, I realized the seller gave me the high light. Then we went back to the auto zone and asked them. The sellers were rude and don't respect us maybe because we are Chinese. We asked why the head light didn't fits our car, then they questioning us we wanted lower light or high light. Before they took me the light, they don't even ask we want lower light or high light. Their response were we may gave the wrong information that was why they got me the wrong light. Are they kidding me or they are the first day of work.? Why they did not ask we want high light or lower light, then why the seller go inside of the counter and took us this head light? If they bring us the light, we certain think that is the right one for our car. If i took the light by myself, then that was my fault, but if you gave me the right, then it must your fault. The sellers keep saying that is our fault. One thing I can't endure is one of the seller came to ask do we remembered him. We don't know who he is. Then he said, my friend said he want high light and he told my friend don't lie. What the hell he tried to do. That is ok they don't allow us to exchange the item since we opened it. They don't necessary to framed my friend and saying he is liar. We really got pissed off. They are saying that is not their fault that is our fault. How can be our fault?.. You took us the light behind the counter and gave to us. If you need more information of the car, you can just simply ask, we will tell you. Moreover, we never said we want high light and why the seller said we say that, and why he told us don't liar.? What is his purpose? They waste us more than $50 to get the wrong light. We have spend more than $ 60 to buy another pair of head light. The worst experience and service I ever have in my life. what is our consumer right? The location of the store is 3011 n broadway, Los Angeles, ca 90031

I went to auto zone in pasadena tx where i always go right by my house. I had bought some turn signal bulbs before and they went out. So i took the package in and they looked it up and told me what i had was the wrong ones. I asked them to talk to a manager cause the woman told me she couldnt do anything. I said, well, someone gave me thewrong ones and I want to know what you can do to correct it. She said she couldnt. So she went & talked to some guy and he told me he couldnt do anything unless he had bothof them. I said, " what are you talking about. Why would I keep a burned out one if i didnt know these were wrong when i put the other one in. The other one fell inside the hole and is laying there and i didnt have tools with me to get it out. I told him he can get out and he would would one. he said no. I need both. I said, whatever, I will call corperate tomorrow and get it straightend out with them. They will make it right. hes like, ok, go ahead. Then he walked off and said, " guess someone told them the wrong part for what they wanted." I said to him. " EXCUSE ME!" I'm the one who asked for it. Are you telling me I'm stupid? You flippin idiot! he looked at me andsaid, " theres the door, you can go ahead and leave " I said, NO! I'm not leaving. I want the part i need. he said. I'm not selling you any part. I said, " WHAT? he said, i'm not going to sell you any parts. I told him i will call corperate and report him. he said go ahead. Then, i waited for a guy wearing a badge said manager on it. After about ten min. I had to walk over to him and he asked me what he could do for me. i told him, #1. what hes going to do about his employee. he said theres someone outside who can handle that better. i told him I need the bulb for my car. he walked over to the computer and then a lady walked up and he was helping her. i waited by now about 1/2 hr. He still wouldnt help me either nor the woman that started helping me to begin with. I finaally left went to another one, told the manager there what happend, he said, i was right to call corp. in the morning and file a complaint. e said theres no way they should have done that to me. more so the whole store. I am white and all i saw in there were hispanic and i feel i am being discriminated against. I will be contacting the EEOC on monday, 3-18-13. And also, my attorney.
employment
i worked here for about 5 months and it was good for the first few months. then one of the managers a 41 year old man started decreasing my hours for no reason and never told me why. i went from 40 hours a week to 10. i dealt with it for a while before finally asking why im not getting any hours. the answer i got was nothing. literally. he said "i wish i...

I went with my mechanic to Autozone to purchase an alternator. When paying, we asked if (as long as we paid cash for the core charge) we could put the rest on my debit card and when returning the old alternator we could get cash back. I recently went to an autozone store in Aguadilla Puerto Rico and purchased a set of Duralast brake shoe for a 2005 Scion XA.The total cost of the item was 82.00 dollares, which included the tax. When I went to replace the brakes shoes, I discovered that I also needed the cylinders, so I called autozone again and asked them the cost of set item. They told me that the cost of each item was $20.00. I shopped around I got them for $10.00 apiece. In passing, I asked about the cost of the brake shoe, just to make a comparison, something I should done prior to the first purchase.
In short, the cost of the brake shoe was a difference of $60.00.I called the store and spoke to the manager, who gave the round around and told he would follow up, so he said. I am very disappointed about the situation and feel that I was not given an option by your company. I will not shop again at your store and will tell my friends and compadres not to shop at Autozone.
Where the pads the exact same brand and part number? Prices vary a lot depending on the brake pads quality and guarantee.
dirty store and lack of service
I went to the Autozone store located on Myrtle St New Britain Ct. on Sunday November 6th @1230pm. the store floors wer filthy, but my complaint was lack of service. 3-4 employees waundering around the store- 5 persons in front of me- 5 behind me. staff were drinking a what appeard to be water, slow to respond to cumstomers. when it was my turn to pay for a purchase, the hispanic young man started to wait on 2 cumtomers that just entered the store, forget the long lines!
I spoke up, he gave me a dirty look, I paid for my order the male would not place my items in a bag -it then refused to ASK for bag instead fumbled and carried them out to by car. It took at lease a half hour to make a small purchase which should have been no longer than 5 minutes. The people workng in this store lack manners and should be re-trained on handling people : like wait on them in a timely manner instead of ignoring them.I’m not impressed with this autozone store. I will advise friends to shop elsewhere.

I purchased a car battery from their Watertown store in September 2007, with a 7-yr warrantee. In January 2012 we had to call AAA twice the same day because the car wouldn't start. AAA gave us a printout of the battery test with "bad cell - replace" and "jump start warning" on it. After taking it to the Watertown store and waiting for more than an hour, the person at the store told us the battery was still good. When the battery died again down the street, for the third time, we had no choice but to replace it at Firestone, for $117. My car hasn't had any problem since the battery was replaced. Besides, why would I spend $117 for less than $30 of credit if the battery was still good? We called Autozone customer service about this and was told the Watertown store will contact us. After waiting for months and haven't heard anything back, I emailed them about the problem two weeks ago. The reply was: "we have gladly forwarded your comments to the regional management team in your area for review". So far, nothing happened.
