I had a credit card from Avant LLC for just a short time when I noticed fraudulent charges on the account. I called Avant and the company credited me for those charges and closed the account. At that time, I was told a new credit card would be issued. I advised them that since the card was almost immediately compromised, I would no longer be using their services. The account was paid in full at the time it was closed. Avant sent me a replacement card anyhow. Since I had told Avant that I no longer wished a credit card from the company, I did not activate the new card. I advised Avant of this by mail and telephone. To date, I continue to receive statements for this card that was never activated and Avant is charging this card every month for non payment. I have now telephoned them twice to advise them that I did not activate the card and have e-mailed them. When I telephoned them, although the customer service representatives are rude and obnoxious, they have assured me that the account will be closed and that no further fees would be assessed on the card. I have received no response to my e-mail to them. However, they have continued to charge this card and to bill me fees every month. I want this account closed and all fees and charges assessed for non-payment deleted from the account.

Desired outcome: Close the account of the credit card that was never activated in the first place and dismiss all fees and charges on the card that have been assessed for non payment.
