Worst company that provides nothing.
Avetta SELLS big Companies on a full bucket of Services that Company gets for Free. Then Avetta forces suppliers to pay large fees to receive NOTHNG! Then they attempt to Blackmail you into paying more fees to get compliant. If you do not, they keep moving the ball and changing the rules to attempt to blackmail more money out of you. We have spent over 3 months attempting to get compliant. They are asking for insurance policies that have never been available. Then when everyone agrees to lesser values so we can finally work, they changed the required verbiage. If a big company wants you to sign in and work with Avetta, RUN as fast as you can. It is SCAM and frankly should be SUED!
Recommendation: Do not work with Avetta.....EVER.
AVETTA incompetence and fraud
AVETTA is required by one of our clients in order to business with them. From the very start it has been a nightmare to deal with AVETTA. They ask for documents such as certificates of insurance, company licenses, credentials, safety plan and many others. We uploaded them and it was pure rejection across the board. They give little to no explanation for their rejections until you complain in writing. Their worst so called safety expert is Harvey Staal. When I filed a complaint against him he called me on the phone and threatened me. After that, all of our documents were approved. Then every year it is like ground hog day again. They reject documents that are clearly on file that were approved the previous year. Only after numerous complaints and long explanatory emails did we get approved...again. The criminal fraud part...AVETTA forces their client to provide a written override variance to approve anything AVETTA rejected...this in essence gives AVETTA a legal protection and puts the responsibility on the client who provides the variance. This coimpletely defeats their purpose. This company is a total fraud!
Recommendation: If you have a client that you plan to do business with that requires AVETTA, be ready to every year to deal with a battle to get through the renewal process and document everything and always inform your client of your struggles with AVETTA
Rude Company and tap your dredit card without authorization
I had one company that asked that I use Avetta to upload COI in 2021. The cost was $199. Unknow to me, they clim this company asked for me to mve to a select plan and now the charge is $1458/year and the company that asked for the service is not in business anymore. When I asked for a refund or reduction in plan, they said not til renewal time. When I asked for cancellation - the same. Whan I asked for deletion of credit card - they refused. When I asked for a supervisor - they refused. When I asked for a name of the rep on the phone- he refused. WORST SERVICE EVER-- SCAM

The only reason we have Avetta is for 1 client. We are coast guard compliant in the United States and they have been absolutely horrible with compliance for them. It has caused discourse with our client. If we did not have to deal with Avetta we wouldn't. Avetta also bought Browz, which was worse, but they are a thorn in our sides and we are completely dissatisfied with every aspect of their business. If I could give no stars I would. We have our insurance rep and even she has never had to go through so many hoops for compliance.

Avetta is not responsive to supplier needs. They are much more expensive than their competitors. We have asked for 4 months for a client connection to be removed. They have not removed it and our cost for our annual subscription is too high as a result. They are redundant in their insurance reviews - asking questions they have to answer themselves by looking at the certificate. I would not recommend this company.
They took *** out of my credit card when we told them last year we do not have to do business with them. They would not give us back out money last year. Once again they got on the credit card and took *** out not even notifying us so we could remind them we told them last year we will not be doing business with them.

Avetta is not a company to deal with. As a business owner, we are forced to use companies to prequal us to out clients. Avetta popped up as one of my clients switched over from ***. At first the pricing was comparable, but after only one year the pricing went up 250%! For what? They do not provide me any guarantees of work, nor are they responsive to the current economic crisis in the oil and gas sector. Horrible service when you call them. I have gone to my client and asked them to prepare for a price increase as I have to pass this cost on to the client.

Avetta is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I could leave one star I would. They are blanketed by the requirement to utilize their services from our customers. Eventually that platform will fade and Avetta's lack of customer support will be the demise. I have been trying to remove clients for over a month, no one ever holds their word at Avetta. The fees are astronomical, the invoicing is always incorrect, it's a pure money pyramid without boundaries. So sad
I would leave zero starts if I could. This company is a scam. Their review is extremely inconsistent and a waste of time. I'm all for verifying compliance with safety, but this in not what they do. It is just an exercise. Waste of time and money that could be spent on actual safety!

Charges your account without permission, and removes paid connections without permission. An utter and complete waste of time. We had no choice but to go through the process to be able to serve one of my clients and it has been one of the worst experiences of my professional career. STAY AWAY!Every negative review you have read is EXACTLY CORRECT, or worse. I honestly can't believe they are in business and I am nearly sure some of their practices are likely illegal.

Amazing that a self fulfilling company that continues to receive 1 star ratings with several people pointing out that they have to waste their time to continuously correct erroneous billing problems for unapproved connections, hasn't been sued. If the service they provide to the initial customer is so valuable, then they should be able to charge a fee to that customer that covers the cost. Instead of the trickle down charges to the sub contractors that get absolutely nothing except for an extra *** and extra work to comply!
ZERO STARS! We were forced to register with Avetta as part of a contract for a minor construction project on an Amazon site and we have been trying to get them to cancel our $800 annual "membership" renewal/ invoice for at least six months. I have spent at least an hour a week on this issue for MONTHS with NO resolution! Do not fall for this- do not register with them. They will send you invoices constantly and refuse to cancel you. Worst of all I have nothing whatsoever of any value to show for any of this. AVOID!
I would leave zero stars if it were an option. Their customer service is out sourced, and their billing support is horrendous. They give you an invoice that doesn't itemize what services you're being provided for their outrageous fees.

The worst part is once you are red flagged and barred from site for whatever reason, you are paying for something that is withholding you from servicing the customer so it's a double edged sword. If there was a better liaison for Avetta to iron out the issues between the contractor and customer this site would have a chance to survive but unless they make significant changes fast I wouldn't give this more than a few years and most will have moved to their competition ISNetworld, BROWZ etc.

If I could give a lower score for Avetta, I would. Their lack of customer service is horrible. Their personnel can't answer simple questions, place you on hold for long periods of time and eventually give you the answer. I was on hold for 2 hours, just to speak to a supervisor about a big change that was about to occur that would affect all of our clients we are connected to. Never got one...
I have been trying to close my account for three years and they have been charging me the yearly renewal, every year. i am promised follow up through a phone call and or email and nothing ever happens. these people are a joke and need to be taken to court.

We have an open complaint about an invoice and they assured me they would turn off auto pay. They did not. If a client decides they want to add themselves to your account, your card gets charged and you get dozens of e-mails until you are "compliant" with their requirements. And, you have no say in who decides to add themselves to your account. Least professional company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Can we leave negative stars?

I was in the process of becoming certified when I was notified that the company I was doing work with was sold and they would not be using this company going forward. I contacted them and they said because i paid them more than 30 days ago I did not fit in there refund policy. How ever I was not even certified yet. They did offer to deactivate my account and stop the auto pay and will contact me if I get another company with them that wants there services. How is it right that they can keep your money and not provide any services for you.

We were required to sign up for Avetta's service to work for a local client. Since signing up and paying outrageous fees for perceived little to no value to us they have continued to raise prices and allow other firms to tag us in their system, which ultimately increases their fees. I have requested numerous times to have restrictions placed on who can tag us in there system without success. When an unwanted organizations tag us I have to spend numerous hours on the phone and emails to get the unwanted firms removed. They are quick to take funds from us, but very slow to remove these unwanted firms. Last example: I contacted Avetta as soon as I was notified that a new firm was added to our account, NINE Days later the firm still shows up on our account and they have charged my credit card over $700.

I have no desire whatsoever to be associated with Avetta. My impression is that it is a "pay to play" scheme. The inability to communicate with Avetta or to be heard has been agonizing at best and is only magnified with each passing day! Emails not responded to, comments entered in the one and only application not read. In my application, submitted comments are not understood, considered nor spark relevant dialogue. I have no clue where I stand. I have asked this to be cancelled only to receive zero aknowledgement or response. All monies at this point are gone. No return on this "investment". Everything they purport as advantages can be found elsewhere through trade associations with true returns on the cost of memebershoip. If your end customer requires Avetta, I would recommend getting a new customer. I know I am.

We cancelled our account last year (2020) as it has been a couple of years since we've had any clients who require avetta prequal & compliance (2017). We did this with the knowledge that we will be charged for the full reinstatement fee should we require their services again in future, which was fine as that cost was still cheaper than paying the annual fees for not using it over the years. One year to the date after cancelling our account we received an invoice for services we DID NOT reinstate. I've requested to have this invoice reversed/cancelled on several occasions only to have a follow up email from a no-reply account sent every week or so reminding us to pay this "overdue invoice". This form of manipulation is fraudulent in my opinion and Avetta needs to be slapped by whatever regulatory body oversees this sort of thing.

I have dealt with them for the last month, often times *** minutes on a phone call. When you submit documents, they are "rejected" and no reason given. It is impossible to get an answer. The supplier added requirements for automobile insurance for my type of work. However I am a sole prop and don't require this. I have to find the *** in my client (a very large company) and have this requirement waived. No other way about it. And the *** forms I sent apparently don't have the right info but they can't tell me what is needed. My "counselor" said for $599 I could get their expediters working on it. I'm sure many take this route, which is extortion. Agree that they are intentionally vague in order to upsell to the expeditor.If you are considering Avetta please read these reviews and consider the negative effects it will have on your company.

I have a client that requires that I am registered with Avetta
I have a client that requires that I am registered with Avetta. Recently I discovered that Avetta allowed a company to attach themselves to my profile without my knowledge or consent. Avetta then invoiced me $522.31 for this connection. Fortunately my credit card on file with Avetta was expired otherwise my credit card would have charged without my knowledge. After Avetta allowed this connection to my account, I started receiving notices from Avetta that I need to pay my ***. At my request, Avetta removed the unwanted connection and reversed the charges, however this took several hours of my time to correct for something that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. Again fortunately my credit card on file was expired. If a company wants to connect to my profile, Avetta should contact me for consent and let me decide if this is something i want or not.

Avetta used to be PICs Auditing and also Browz. It was great dealing with PICs, Browz was a bit of a pain, but Avetta is a NIGHTMARE! Their questionnaire system is ridiculous and confusing. Instead of every section being counted as not complete...they count EVERY QUESTION! And the accounting is atrocious! As if anyone cares at this company. They don't ask you if you want a customer added, they just do it without you knowing. But try to REMOVE a connection? WOW...Not only do you NOT get a refund or credit, you have to wait until your subscription renewal to remove them AND you get a phone call two weeks after the request for removal and asked if you're sure you want them removed and why! I agree with another review and wondering why this company hasn't been sued yet! Complete lunacy!

Avetta allows companies to add your as a client, without the company being added approving this connection. Which wouldnt be a problem if they werent charging people $$$$$$$ to be connected. We had a competitor add us as a client and we got stuck paying $1200. When the charge was discovered 40 days after and I called I was given the run around for nearly 2 months. Finally today on call #5 to Avetta, I was told the refund was denied. We never authorized the charge, or added the client. The client was added to the account without our authorization. They only give you 30 days to notice, and call back. This is a shady practice and they know that 30 days isnt enough time for someone to get the ***, communicate with the appropriate departments and call them. They refused to ever contact me or communicate that they were denying the refund. Amex will handle it for me from here on out. We will not be re subscribing to Avetta next year, Id rather not be able to work with ERM than pay Avetta another dime.

I wish I could give them zero stars! We were required to use them to do business with one of our customers. We had no choice but to pay them to pre-qualify us. Which we have been doing for 4 years. This year our payment doubled from 817 to 1,900. We paid the amount thinking that their service increased. It wasn't until our insurance agent noticed that a new company attached themselves to us on the Avetta site that we realized that's why we were being charged extra. We found out that once you become a client of Avetta any company can attach themselves to you. If that happens you are charged an additional 817 a year. You have 30 days to first realize that it happened, even though you did not request this or know who the company is, to tell Avetta that you don't want the connection and to remove the company. If you don't they will not remove the connection and they will not refund you the additional 817. They are a horrible company that is basically stealing your money to prequalify you for company's you have never heard of or done business with. If you are ever required to do business with this company please make sure to watch for any increase in your bill and contact them immediately for a explanation.

Due to their customer service negliegence & lack of knowledge, they are keeping us in the red while reviewing an in house OSHA report & they rejected my report the 1st time by one customer service rep *** he wanted to see zeros on our blank lines. Mind you these are in house OSHA reports, I accomodated them & uploaded the document & the documnet when opened did not open landscape so they could not see our company name on the report knowing very well this is the same report they just asked us to revise, once re uploaded & saved to landscape for their ignorant customer service rep's all the while keeping us in the red during review process preventing construciton from starting on a project. They also rejected again because the signature was not in the spot they wanted it to be. As well as predicting to us how our entire safety program needs to be written, with items that arent even affiliated with our company. honeslty dumbfounded at this point. If they are going to have customer service people,they should be training them to know all aspects of construction & to know that one company does not always affiliate with another just because their customer service rep. cannot comprehend. Disgusted to say the least with Avetta, NO Goverment or *** should utilize this firm due to their negligence in keeping production from happening for minor issues that have nothing to do with prequalification, safety or background period! At some point they should be held accountable & be prepared if they are going to keep companies in the red preventing them from Construction & moving forward, they should be compensating the employees who get sent home from a project due to the fact they cant go on site becasue Avettas customer service ignorance. Similar to other complaints I have read regarding Avetta and their unauthorized charges, our company has experienced the same issue with being charged for alignment with a new "client connection" that we have never spoke with, planned on doing business with, or was even notified that they were trying to connect with our organization. When I reached out to this mysterious client, they gave me a very bland response as if they were in on it, and could not answer my question as to whom they spoke with within our company or why they were seeking us out as a client connection. I have spoke with, emailed, and online chatted with multiple Avetta agents regarding this issue. Long story short, just as others describe, they will give you the run around over and over and over as if they are attempting to get you to exhaust your efforts on recouping the funds that they ran your card on file for, without your consent. This is just the short version of my story. I have been working on getting this refund for going on a YEAR now! All of this started when we HAD to use Avetta's auditing service for a project that was operated by a GC that required an audit before we could step foot on their site. All I can say is, if your client/customer uses Avetta as their 3rd party audit provider, watch your bank account very closely, and use a credit card that you can deactivate shortly after services have been rendered by this company. Or better yet, avoid at all costs! That is all.
