Retractable landing gear
Approximately 3 weeks ago I purchased a set of rotating retractable landing gear for my 63 inch f4u corsair, they will extend out but will not retract back in. I h have checked and double-checked all my connections match. They have sent new jacknsrews they were installed, they still won't work. Now they are not answering my messages, I have suggested alternative landing gear but have not heard back on them.

So I ordered from bannana hobby this past month. I got a RTF 1400mm red cessna. Out of the box it was a nice looking plain. I realized it was v1 and not v2 like it was advertised. I assemble it and notice a y connector is bad so I replaced that. I take it out for it's maiden flight and as soon as i pull back on the rudder a bit to make it lift the plane suddenly goes straight up and I had no control. It smashes nose first into the ground causing $100 in damage. I take the plane to my car and realize that the rudder servo had locked up and caused it to crash. Ok so bad wire bad servo fixed it all. As I'm re trimming and setting up the new fms digital servo the vertical servo starts making a whining noise. Now I'm pretty irritated at this point. I have asked for a refund or replacement but I'm not exspecting it soooooo I have replaced all there bad parts with decent fms digitals. I knew fms parts would work because it is the same exact plane that fms sells just under blitzworks/ bannana hobbys name. Do not purchase from them. If you want a good version of the planes there selling look for fms versions. There the same planes but with better parts.
No complaints! Everything I've bought has arrived in good order, and as advertised! Customer support has been very helpful, and professional.
It's odd to me that people expect name brand products. When paying around half price. I test everything! If I find a servo that is lacking... I replace it with one of the many spares I have on hand. I've had FMS, and Hobbyzone airplanes that had miner issues out of the box. Kinda like buying a new car or truck. Quality control can't possibly catch everything! In the end it's subject to defect, and we are all human!🙂

I bought my son a 200.00 dollar plane. My first order with this company. We receive plane and one of the wings wont lock in place for flying. We call cust ser although it does say on website there ridiculous return policy I still order the plane cuz my son liked it. Well they tell me to take pics of plane before I can return plane pay for return plane must be inspected blah blah.. Now I have a kid with a broken heart. Awful customer service. Dont do buss with them!

Warning warning warning know this, banana hobby ca. Will steal your money! My case is still under investigation by my bank and a major cc card. My bank has temp. Refunded my $ however 2 mo ago I made my 2nd purchase from bh a 4x4 truck for my son b day. It arived 3 days latter, as the ups man carried it up a flight of stairs being overloaded he drops it off yhe 2 floor. He leaves it on my front porch without even a opps sorry or. Somthing. After dealing w/ ups & bh got it shipped back. Now it gets worse first they take my $ than return it. But wait they took it out again unautherized... One and a half chat w bh was a wast of time. I was told this is how our acct. Is done. Also they said becouse ups damaged it that they would give me another one at no cost to me then why take my money. Ups was not very helpful either. After a tel w bh they told me to talk w ups, ups does not deal w 3 rd party. Bh likes to give people the run around. Now they wont email me or take my calls. I served my country for 30 years 3 wars. To Whomever will listen,
After several warnings from friends and online chatrooms...I still felt I needed to give Banana Hobby.com a chance at selling me a quality airplane. I should have listened to the groundswell of complaints against them.
I bought a Cessna 182 N9258 radio controlled airplane. This plane was suppose to be "ready to fly" but the receiver (which had no atena to it)...was just put inside the plane and wasn't even connected. The plane had a broken wheel also and had broken and non-working receiver and transmitter. I bought a new receiver and finally got it to lift off to only crash within seconds because the plane was not balanced. It did not have any instructions on balancing or binding the receiver to the transmitter. I had to have a friend help me do that since I could not get any help from Banana Hobby.com's tech support.
Please do something about this "scam" company.

Banana Hobby is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. The products are garbage and the customer service sucks. I ordered a plane put it together and it was defective. They ignored my service request and now they are saying I should have contacted them in a different manner. The plane was put together so therefore I cannot send it back and its my fault its a piece of junk. Do not buy from them. It is all Chinese crap. No consideration for customer at all. Totally disagree. I have several planes and each time I deal with banana hobby it is a hassle. Defective product, missing parts, wrong replacement parts, expect you to pay for their mistakes, excessive time process order, ship order and respond to problems. Other companies sell quality products and understand customer service. This company won't last practicing these unfair and misleading practices. First they send me a defective ESC. Then they tell me it is not under warranty, then I buy a new Esc. They send the wrong one. Then they tell me the wrong one will work (much smaller). Then they tell me they will send replacement/correct part. Seven days later they send me an email asking me to pay to have the wrong part shipped back. I just sent them an email today asking why I should pay for their mistakes. Marry has been "helping" me?

I too purchased a plane from them and weeks went by and never recieved it. Weeks went by and they finaly got back to me and said oh your order was lost in the shuffle and then two more weeks and nothing. Paypal got my money back.

Two months ago I made a mistake and bought a f4e plane from these guys, the charger was one of this chipos… so I wanted to ask some question, at first I tried to call never could!, then I tried sending then an email, never got a reply. then I sent them an email every other day, did not work. I decided to send a fax, no luck. make long story short since then I have been sending them sucker an email and fax every day!... you think someone will get back to me, right?... wrong! no one did. I even sent several email to the management and that guy peter, no luck!?
So I decided to check on line (something which I should have done before my mistake) I found what I was afraid of. all these complain and scams, I think someone should report them.
This company (if you can call it a company!) is one of the worst on this earth and on line, here is why:
1- no customer service at all
2- very unprofessional staff
3- no manager or one whom does not even know what the word “manager” means!
4- so management sucks
5- their phone lines (2) are 24/7 busy! (indication of volume of their problem)
6- they never ever reply to emails, fax or phone calls
7- that peter guy and entire company is a joke
8- only three words can describe them “scam, scam, scam”
Do not trust or buy from these guys, you’ll get ripped-off. and please make this known on twitters, blogs and emails.

The companies employees all lie non stop. I can not count how many times they lied to me and in open forums no less. They took my money and never sent my parts. I filed a dispute and they said because I did that not only will I never get my part but I will also not get a refund. Their company head (Pete) is completly full of crap and will gladly lie to you any chance he gets. If you are not spending over $1000 or if you are not famous they will treat you like crap.

A rating of 1 is too high for this merchant. I purchased 2 helicopters for which there was 100% guaranteed satisfaction. The helicopters arrived almost a month after I purchased them for christmas, were of very poor quality, and they didn’t fly. I was unable to send them back because the company required a return merchant authorization number (rma#) - however weeks of constant emails and telephone messages went unanswered. When someone finally did reply, they claimed that the return period had expired and they would not accept the items for refund or exchange. Their 100% guarantee police is a joke and everything on their website is falsely advertised. Yahoo would be wise to sever it's relationship with this fly by night operation.

I have ordered an RC Boat from bananahobby since May 19th 2009, the funds was taken out that same day from my account, $478, I did not receive it untill June 5th, so much for 5 bussiness days, but this is not the end, because it was broken I had to sent it back for a replacement on 6/08/2009. After calling, geting huld up on, and holding for no less than 30mins +, sometimes two and three times a day, I got nothing but "please hold on", and they never came back on the phone, and when they do come back on the phone or reply to my hundreds of e-mails, they tell me it will be shiped out the next day. It's now June 19th 2009, One Month from the day they took my money and I have not received my boat, what a scam.
Is there anyone out there that can help me?

Theustomer service at this company is unbeleivabl poor. I ordered an rc boat and extra battery. Total cost of $108. After a week of tracking the purchase from UPS, I emailed Hobby to ask why the tracking status didn't move from "Manifest pickup". Their attitude was, "we shipped it, nothing we can do, contact UPS. ". So I contacted UPS and they told me to have Banana Hobby contact them. Emailed BH, no reply. Have tried to contact them several times with no reply. So I'm out of $108.00 and have nothing. Their two emails said essentially, "we sent it, you're own your own". Not, "I'm sorry, we'll try to find it", "We have the receipt that we sent it", nothing. I hope this complaint cost them more than the $108.00 they stole from me. Don't use this company!

Ordered an RC plane Sept. 26th, 2011, it came with an instruction manual that was incorrect for the components supplied, after 3 emails, an hour+ on email "support" and 2+ hours on hold to request the correct manual was informed that it was "...not in the system."
This took 4 1/2 months!
Bill B: I normally do not comment when things go right. In my dealings with BH I have no complaints. I have purchased two planes and BH quickly addressed any problems. They have called me and e-mailed me trying to make things right. My second plane is the B-25 bomber and i love it. I have been waiting for 18 days on an item that I paid express shipping on. These People called the person to whom the package was to be sent and told him what the gift was and that it would still be another two weeks. They did offer him 10% off of any future purchase. Mind you that I bought the gift. These people lie everytime I speak with them. If you want your purchase- avoid this company!

I feel sorry for anyone who happened to buy something from this company. They are crooks. I placed an order for my father's birthday on 6th of May 2009 and guess what everyone I am still waiting to receive my purchase. I have tried their sales line but no answer. I wrote them three emails and finally someone named Sarah responded with a lousy email.

Run away as fast as you can, they will lie to you. I bought two motors for my helicopter, when I received them, I called them the same day (Within the 30 days) I explain to them they were small and need to send them back, their response was to send them a picture of the motors, I did this as they ask me to do, I called them back to get a shipping number to call back, now they want me to send a picture with the old motor next to the new one, plus they are going to charge me a re - stocking fee.
(The package says s033g but the new motor says lbh033d) will not do business or refer my friends or enemy to them.
These guys are ###s. Their planes look like crap ### you would find at a 2 dollar shop and they barely work. They always make their products look fancy with all the reatracts, flaps, thrust vectoring and canopy openings... but when you open up the box, everything is already wrecked. I had an f 14 tomcat and when i opened it the fuselage looked like someone had slashed it with a machete and the wings were already somehow broken. I emailed them like a million times and they just ignored me. Once these scams have your money even god wont able to help you get a refund if things go wrong. The CIA or the FBI should investigate these people and bring an end to banana hobby. Still, these crroks will one day ressurect and open up another new company with a completely different name. I have purchased three planes from bananahobby a F4 was okay with a few ajustments a sr71 the front landing gear didn't come down had a bad servo and the F18 this one is a diaster the wireing was backwards the servo for the wing didn;t work the canopy didn't work the thrust vectoring was a disaster but best of all when I glued the two sections together I went on vacation when I got back both sections had seperated so the glue they send don't use it when I contacted them about the vectoring they told me to send a picture of the vectoring I told them to take a picture of one they have on the shelf and look at it my sugestion to them was to hire me and I could correct their mistakes I guess the chinese havent heard of quality control just put the planes together and get them out the door and hopefully the customer can fix their mistakes.
Banana Hobby is a Joke... I purchased a RTF (READY TO FLY HELI) about 6 months ago.. When it came in it was not RTF... After two weeks of trouble shooting over the phone we sent it back for repairs... They kept it for 6wks, and when it came back it was RTF... Know we need some parts after a crash, and can't get them... What a joke! Banana Hobby Sucks! I won't be purchasing any thing from them again!
I see now from others that it wasn't just me. I got screwed on a piece of crap. MIG29 is a piece of junk. Both ESC's fried one after the other. After just pluggin it in. I replaced the first one only to have the second burn out before even placing any throttle. I have since flown it several times but at great expence. Radio had no manual. The landing gear did not retract and they were intermittment. I had to keep them down at all times because they were so unreliable. The customer service was the same song and dance. I'd call, no one there, I'd get some girl who when I asked if she knew her product she said she did then could not answer any questions about said product or radio. I emailed the CEO of this sad company and got zero response. unfortunately I needed some replacement parts for this now $750 investment so we will see how they do. I have been telling everyone at every field not to buy from them .

I ordered 2 RC Helicopters for my Grandson for Christmas. One would not charge and other had cracked rotor blades in the packaging. Emails go unanswered and you wait on hold forever! NEVER use them EVER!

They put a new body on the broken item and sent it to me missing the rechargeable battery pac. Days later I received the bat pac and the broken heli, so I shipped all of it back to banana hobby, paying shipping for the third time...

On October 2008 I purchased two R/C Helicopters from BananaHobby.com.
During the initial purchasing phase they were quick to respond to inquiries. Now that I have the helicopters I need to purchase replacement parts for one that happens to be a newer model for 2008, but cannot get any response from Banana Hobby. On the purchase description it does list that "all" replacement parts are available which led me to believe that common parts like replacement rotor blades would be easy to get. They are inexpensive parts, but I cannot locate a seller in the U.S. and Banana Hobby will not help.
I have tried several emails, and the phone numbers listed ring and ring with no answer. Once the business hours are into effect, the phone is placed off the hook and rings busy.
I am writing this to warn other shoppers that sometimes, a good price is no replacement for "good service".

I am not affilated in any way nor do I have any relative that works for banana hobby. Top notch 5star service, products, and shipping from the staff at banana hobbys, I would definately order again and reccomend vanana hobbys
Hi Guys, I am from South Africa, last year I purchased 1 plane and 2 helicopters from BH. The plane worked fine and 1 of the heli's. The other did not even get off the ground. I tried to get hold of BH but with no luck. Anyway, I turned the helicopter into a boat! But about a month ago I wanted some spares for the Artec plane, so I ordered a load of stuff. I paid by credit card, but did not receive the whole order. There was NO note or credit to my account. If anyone knows a official USA consumer trade office I can contact about this please post it, I'll keep my eye's on it. Howie from AFRICA
I ordered a 30'' RC Boat from BananaHobby to be sent to my grandson in Australia to reward him for a years hard work and excellent school grades. The boat arrived on time; but it wasn't new. When taken out of it's protective packing the hull had two black marks on it, one each side. It was very dusty. The boat Ni Cad was charged, a further indicator it had been used. But the Tx sent was not only defective; a loose wire, soon fixed; but it had the wrong operating frequency. The boat Rx operated at 27Mhz, the handheld Tx at 40Mhz. Hence RC range was about 10 feet rather than the 300 feet it should have been.
I can confirm the helpline phone number when you do get through after a few rings goes dead. With the e-mail I fared better. At first this worked well, we were able to identify the problem and BananaHobby offered to send a replacement 27Mhz Tx to my grandson. So far so good, but then the problems began. They didn't answer e-mails requesting info on when the Tx had been shipped.
So then tried their Chat Line; I did get a response and promises; but nothing happenened. The Boat was delivered 5 Jan. The problem was identified and a replacement Tx promised 26 Jan. It didn't arrive, wasn't even sent despite weekly assurances on the chat line that it really was on it's way, and lots of apologies.
I think I may be getting a result now, the operator on Monday, added the replacement Tx to the original order and promised to send me a tracking number, that was Monday, it should have been despatched Tuesday. This morning Thursday sent an e-mail directly to operator for tracking info. I'm a realist and don't expect too much.
Wondeful website, really too good to believe prices (almost). Abbismal aftersales. What a great pity. If they can't replace a contribution to replacement cost would be appreciated. Replacement policy only works if the shipping cost is considerably less than purchase price, to Australia it is about one and a half times! So you have to believe in the site.
What they should do: Like Amazon.co.uk show a new price and used price for the items (because my grandson got used/defect/factory seconds/returns) call it what you will.
My advise if the price is right and you are still getting a good deal after allowing to replace say a Tx including of course shipping costs, then it may be worth taking a chance. But if it goes wrong you are on your own. Another thing if you are buying as a present give youself time to sort things out, don't send direct.
Would I buy from them again? No I wouldn't put my grandson through the roller coaster of wow to woe again. Rather buy from a shop and suck the price and maybe limited range of modela on offer.
