Worse customer service and company attitude overall. The product is made in China, from synthetic materials that shed all over and tears in holes after first wash. Returning products is a nightmare. Never again.

I ordered throw before Christmas. My package arrived a month later in flimsy wrap. The wrap had a 7 inch rip with throw exposed. This resulted in very dirty throw. I tried to email them but they did not respond.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a robe for my mother at Christmas time. The robe was too big and needed to be exchanged. There was no exchange form in the box. I emailed multiple times to get one with no success. I called multiple times and finally received one. When we finally received the exchange in early March, the robe came with no belt (the robe costs 158 dollars). I have been trying since then to request a belt. They are waiting for one from the warehouse. The problem is that customer service keeps telling me that they will keep me updated about it and they NEVER do what they say. Last Thursday, the customer service manager assured me that she would call me Friday with an update and she never called. I called today and she assured me that she would update me next Tuesday by email. I am not holding my breath. I would never order from this company again. Their products are nice, but their customer service is the worst I have ever seen.

I REALLY want to be able to give this company a 5 star rating because their product is so great but their customer service is so bad that it 100% overshadows any good quality. I became a first time customer Black Friday 2020 and I have had NOTHING but a horrible experience with their customer service. I am STILL waiting to hear back from them to get a resolution to the issues I have emailed about several times only to be ignored. I have emailed, called, Facebook messaged and left a review on their website that THEY DELETED! To be clear, I had a previous 5 star review on a cardigan that I purchased without incident (that quality wise does absolutely deserve it's rating) and then posted the review of the two items I had an issue with and even linked them to my Facebook page but the only one that stayed on their site and that can still be linked is the ONE 5 star. Both of my 2-3 star reviews are GONE! That in itself made me absolutely disgusted! They cant claim "being busy" or "We didnt get your messages" at this point. They read those reviews and instead of choosing to touch base with their customer to fix an issue, they instead chose to delete it so noone else would see it. That speaks so loudly to me making it clear that the ONLY thing they care about is my credit card clearing and that is it. They would rather make themselves SEEM like a 5 star company instead of putting the work in to BE a 5 star company! I left a copy of ONE of the reviews they chose to delete below. ***Let me start by saying that I made my initial purchase for our child who has horrible anxiety caused by the loss of our youngest son, his brother. Having a soft, cozy 'hugging feeling' article to wear or use to sleep with has helped him greatly. He felt a BFD item in a local store and couldnt stop asking for one for Christmas. We definitely couldnt say no to something that could provide him the comfort he needs during very hard moments. The sweater itself is of nice quality. It was not my original purchase and it definitely wasnt a Christmas gift but nonetheless it is nice quality, cozy and comfy. It has a nice weight to it but its comfy enough to sleep in. Our kiddo loves it. As for the BUT... The service I experienced when purchasing this was astoundingly horrible! I mean, really. Which left me sooooo incredibly disappointed because I had heard so many wonderful things about this brand and once I recieved my initial item (a seperate order) I completely understood why BFD is unmatched in softness and coziness. Plus, most importantly, it WORKS for our kid in an amazing way. I want so badly to buy more for him! Although, after experiencing their customer service, or lack thereof, I have been left to wonder if this was an accident or if they truly only care when you are spending money. Either way they have ignored me in all of my attempts to reach out for help AND explanation all while I watched them respond to people who asked for help MAKING A PURCHASE! That is really a horrible thing to do to your customers especially when the burden of making it right falls in your lap. I still hope that at some point they reach out to make it right and to explain.

Hello. My dad was very excited to order barefoot dreams items for me, my sisters, my baby nephew and my mom for Christmas. However, within hours of placing his order he received an email at 10pm that night saying the order was canceled with no explanation. He has called, emailed and I have even resorted to Instagram DMing the company for him and we have received NO response. Extremely disappointing as this was an over $600 order for my whole family and it was canceled without explanation or a solution. Won't be ordering from there again.

Terrible customer service and still have not received my order I placed over a month ago that was to arrive in 6-9 business days. When I asked for an update they told me to be patient and I couldn't cancel.

Terrible customer service. I followed their policy to return an item. You have to request an authorization code which is to be sent to you within 5 days. They do not send anything. After waiting for a week, I tried 6 times to find out when I would receive the code however they did not respond. I also called and was on hold for 15 minutes and then sent to a general VM box. I left a customer review rating describing my experience on their site and they do not post anything less than 5 star reviews. This is an extremely misleading and dishonest company.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET! If you're going to purchase Barefoot Dreams products, do it through Nordstrom or Dillard's. The actual company has THE WORST customer service. It's impossible to get in touch with someone via phone or email. When you finally do get someone they tell you it'll be two weeks to process a return or refund. Fast forward a month later and STILL NOTHING! For the record I never submit anything like this. I usually only tell companies how great they are doing or how their employees are doing. But this company deserves nothing.

However it has been almost 6 weeks since I returned the items (over $400 worth) and have yet to receive the refund on our credit card. I have spent hours on the phone, left a voice-mail and sent multiple emails to 2 different Barefoot Dreams "contact us" emails. I am so frustrated and 100% would NEVER purchase directly from this company again. Their products are of great quality and comfort but customer service makes or breaks businesses. Hoping to get some resolution to my situation with this review!

The worst return/refund process!
The worst return/refund process! Do not buy directly from the company. I ordered two different sizes in a sweater for a Christmas present, planning to return the size that did not fit. ($188 each) On December 26, I requested a return. After several emails, I finally received the return label on Jan. 26. I mailed the return package on Jan. 27, they received it on Feb. 1. As of today, Feb. 19, I have not received a refund. Customer service is primarily done through email which they rarely respond to. I have not been able to contact them by phone. Stay away from buying directly from Barefoot Dreams. Go to Nordstrom and buy their products!

Great product. Dishonest and unhelpful customer service. My husband purchased a robe for me, he purchased in September and put it away for my dec birthday. He ordered the wrong size. I opened it on 12/4, and called Barefoot Dreams on the 5th to have the replacement robe sent out. I explained the situation and they assured me that I could send back and have replacement sent or I could order and then receive a charge credit when they received the original robe. I chose to do the later, sending the robe the next day. They received the robe and never issued the charge credit. Of course, they were very timely about charging me for robe #2. Two months later, at least 7 phone calls, 5 emails, they issued me a gift card last night, two months after receiving back the robe ordered in the incorrect size.. I just called them once again and they use the excuse that its been 5 mo. Its not their policy and they have no ability to issue a refund. This isn't true, I'm a small business owner and they can do a refund anytime. The person I talked to hung up on me. This is how Barefoot Dreams does business. So disappointing because I love their robes. The way they do business, not at all.

I ordered an item on 1/13, and requested an exchange on 1/18. The company has not responded since the request was approved. They have not responded to my emails for a month. I requested to exchange for a smaller size on 1/18. On 1/27, my exchange was 'approved'. I was told a return label would be emailed to me. Since then, I have not received it. Initially, I wanted a smaller size, but now I want a refund due to the poor service. The lack of response in 30 days is unacceptable. I have sent 4 emails with no reply and now I just want a return and my money back. Please help hold this company accountable for their customer service.

I have been dealing with this company for nearly 2 months trying to resolve a return. I just want my money back for the purchase I made on January 2. I received my item rather quickly but it was way too big. I reached out to the company for an exchange and was ignored for over a week. They only responded when I started leaving messages on all their social media platforms. It took me 9 follow-up emails to finally get them to send me a return label so that I could submit my return.
They have had my return since February 16, and I've, again, sent several emails requesting my money back and no one can be bothered to get back to me. I've tried calling, emailing, and messaging via their online contact forms. I just want my refund.

As of now at the end of March I have yet to receive ANY update on my return and of course, no refund. This company is not going to return your money even though they charge incredibly high prices for their items so do not purchase if you don't think it will workout. I ordered a white King sized blanket on May 7th. I received a shipment on May 10th but it was a disgusting smelly beige blanket that I did not order. I contacted customer service several times with pictures and got no response. One day I tried to contact them again. They acted like thet never received my emails and within 2 minutes they lied and said they did an investigation and that the item was shipped when I know that is a lie. What they did was wrong and potentially hazardous considering what is going on with COVID19.
My item was supposed to be delivered by UPS on 06/10 @ 11:11 a.m. Per UPS, they left the package on my front patio. I never received it and Barefoot Dreams refused to send me a replacement item until waiting 5 business days to see if the package shows up. I work from home and was there the day that it was supposed to be delivered, no one delivered anything that day! I spoke to the driver for UPS and he was of no help. Told me that he couldn't help me and dismissed the conversation to...maybe it got stolen. I feel that it is terrible Customer Service to make someone wait even longer for a lost package to see IF it magically appears. I paid for a product and I would appreciate it, if I could receive it timely and not be stuck in the middle of your policy...isn't that why you have insurance?

I ordered 10 items from this company's online store (www.barefootdreams.com) on 9/2 and paid $846.60 and received all items on 9/9. The order number is ***. I decided to keep 6 of the 10 items and wanted to return 4 items. I filled out their online return form on 10/8 indicating which items that I wanted to return. I was supposed to receive an email with a shipping label and return instructions, but I only received an automated response saying they received my request. I have received no additional emails or communications from this company regarding my return, despite several attempts to email and call them (all of which have gone unanswered.) I hesitate to just send the items back and hope that they will refund my money.

Company sent wrong item. They refuse to refund full amount unless I pay expensive return shipping cost. The company sent me the wrong blanket, wrong color and brand. The company has made it impossible to receive a refund on returned products. It has been over 6 weeks since the product was returned with no refund. I purchased four items from Barefoot Dreams on *** (Order BFD_XXXXX). One product did not fit, so I sought to return it. First, the return process is incredibly cumbersome and slow. You have to email them and wait for them to send you a UPS code. Below is a timeline of my interactions: Nov. 30, 2020 - I placed my order Dec. 21, 2020 - I emailed seeking to return one item Dec. 30, 2020 - I followed up as I still had not received the UPS return label despite a promise that it would be received in 3-5 business days; finally received the shipping label Jan 2, 2021 - I mailed the item back using the return label; I still have my receipt and tracking number from UPS Jan. 16, 2021 - I emailed to follow up as I still had not received confirmation of my return or a refund; to date, I have received no response Jan. 19, 2021 - I emailed again to follow up as I still had not received confirmation of my return or a refund; to date, I have received no response Jan. 25, 2021 - I called and waited on hold for over an hour before being kicked off the line; I called again and again waited 30 mins before connecting with an agent who confirmed that my return had been returned but not processed It is now February 17 two months since I initiated the return process and over 6 weeks since I mailed back the item. I mailed back part of an order on December 7 and have still not received a refund. I have contacted the business and received no help. Order *** was purchased on November 20 and partially returned on December 7, I have photographic evidence of the items being packaged as well as the receipt from UPS. It has been over 2 months and I have not gotten my money back. Their business is located about 5 minutes from my home so it's not an issue of the package taking a while. Both items returned add up to $128 not including tax. I payed using Afterpay and would have also received an email from them if I had been refunded.

In early January I returned $427 worth of Barefoot Dreams merchandise (ORDER *** using the return label the company provided. I have yet to receive a refund back on my credit card. I have made multiple attempts to contact Barefoot Dreams via telephone calls (never speaking to a human and being disconnected from hold after 15 minutes). I have also sent multiple emails to their "help" and "web sales" email addresses, receiving back an automated response that is not applicable to my complaint or no response at all. The 4 items I returned were Christmas presents from my husband. I have never dealt with such terrible customer service (or a complete lack there of) and would absolutely NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE. I initiated an exchange on 11/12; I never received the exchange, was billed for the price differential, or contacted about a refund. On 11/12, I initiated an exchange for part of an order, the item I wished to exchange for was more than the item I received and knew I would need to be billed for a differential. On 11/16 UPS tracking indicates my item was received at the dock. The business indicated it would take 7-10 days upon receipt for things to be resolved. I did not hear anything, and due to the Nov. holiday I tried to remain patient. On 12/12 I sent a follow up request to the *** email still nothing. I had not been able to get ahold of anyone via phone, again, the now December Holidays, I also tried to remain patient. On 1/5 I sent another email to the *** dreams email and have called several times to resolve this issue. At this point I would just like my money back for the item that I was attempting to exchange. I understand that this year has been extraordinary in terms of these kind of things but it's been 2 months and this just feels unacceptable.

Barefoot Dreams will not send me the required paperwork to make a return despite multiple requests. Around 12/22, I received the order I placed on 12/8 (***). I decided I wanted to return one of the items. Per the return policy, I had to get the return paperwork from barefoot dreams (they do not provide it with the order). I followed the instructions on the website and emailed them at *** for paperwork that same day. I got a response telling me the paperwork was coming. It never did. I emailed the same address 4 more times over the next three weeks, but I never received a response. I also called the customer service number last week. I was on hold for 15 minutes, then forwarded to a message telling me email would be a quicker way to get a response. I also emailed the other email addresses (cs and help) in addition to the returns email address. No response from anyone. I don't want to ship it back and just hope it gets processed as a return given the way they have handled this so far. I am stuck with merchandise I do not want and would not have ordered if I knew the company would not honor its return policy.

I called and advised item i received was not what purchases. Representative named *** advised she it will be resend. No items received since. I did not received the items that i purchased. I called and was advised my items will be re-shipped and that was last Thursday and i will also receive 20% discount for the inconvenience. As of today 09/16 I haven't received my items and when I called l was told no one is available in the warehouse to answer calls. *** advised she will give me a call back but that never happened. I have made several calls the next day to the customer service line and all they do is to put me on hold for several minutes (last call 35 mins) and no one comes back to the call. I called with my daughters phone and guess what the same lady that placed me on hold for so many minutes picked. I was so frustrated and asked for my money back. She did not apologize and said she will refund money back. No confirmation of cancellation from them and no money back. I am so disappointed in this company and coming to think that i am actually youtube influencer for their products in other department stores. I will sure share this horrible experience with all my followers.

I ordered a Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Heathered Adult Robe in Rose/White, size 2. I received an XL "Game Easy" brand robe. On November 25th I ordered a Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Heathered Adult Robe in Rose/White, size 2. The ORDER #gsaeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I paid *** using my PayPal account. I received an *** "Game Easy" robe - of very poor quality. I received the order December 27. I contacted the company multiple times checking on the order as the website stated delivery within 7 to 10 business days. I was assured it was in transit. As stated I received the package December 27th. I contacted the company immediately on December 27th.? I explained that I had received something I had not ordered, I requested a return label and explained I wanted a full refund of the *** I received a response the next morning asking if I would accept a *** refund. I said no. The website guarantees a full refund. The second email asked if I would accept *** I again quoted the website guarantee. The next email offered a *** refund. I declined. The next email included a return address in Shenzhen, China. I said the website has a return address in New York. They said the return address is Shenzhen, China and that I am responsible for the shipping expense. I am requesting your assistance in resolving this problem by securing a full refund. I will attach all of the documentation I have. Thank you.

Returned an item to exchange for a smaller size. Return was received by Barefoot Dreams on 11/6. No exchange sent and cust service won't respond I placed an order with Barefoot Dreams on 10/7. One of them items needed to be returned and exchanged for a smaller size. I requested an exchange and returned the item via the return label sent by Barefoot Dreams. The return shows they received it on 11/6. I tried contacting them twice via the form on their website about 2 weeks later and never received a response. I decided to reach out to them on Twitter and Facebook on 11/26, thinking maybe negative reviews posted online would provoke them to respond. They responded via Facebook on 11/30 asking for my order number so they could assist. I provided all the requested information, and was told someone from customer service would get back with me ASAP. I explained that I needed the exchange for a Christmas gift. After receiving NO follow-up from customer service regarding my exchange, I messaged them again on 12/3, 12/8, and 12/15. I have been told again that someone will get with me shortly, which never happens. I am now out the money I spent on the item as well as the item since I haven't received an exchange. Had I known their business practices were so poor, I would have kept the item instead of exchanging, or wouldn't have ever ordered from them in the first place. This needs to be resolved, and at this point I would rather have a refund because I don't ever expect to see the item again...

The company has made it impossible to receive a refund on returned products. It has been over 6 weeks since the product was returned with no refund. I purchased four items from Barefoot Dreams on *** (Order BFD_XXXXX). One product did not fit, so I sought to return it. First, the return process is incredibly cumbersome and slow. You have to email them and wait for them to send you a UPS code. Below is a timeline of my interactions: Nov. 30, 2020 - I placed my order Dec. 21, 2020 - I emailed seeking to return one item Dec. 30, 2020 - I followed up as I still had not received the UPS return label despite a promise that it would be received in 3-5 business days; finally received the shipping label Jan 2, 2021 - I mailed the item back using the return label; I still have my receipt and tracking number from UPS Jan. 16, 2021 - I emailed to follow up as I still had not received confirmation of my return or a refund; to date, I have received no response Jan. 19, 2021 - I emailed again to follow up as I still had not received confirmation of my return or a refund; to date, I have received no response Jan. 25, 2021 - I called and waited on hold for over an hour before being kicked off the line; I called again and again waited 30 mins before connecting with an agent who confirmed that my return had been returned but not processed It is now February 17 two months since I initiated the return process and over 6 weeks since I mailed back the item. I have received no communication from Barefoot Dreams, no confirmation, and no refund. I have tried multiple times to get through on their customer service line but no one picks up.

Received order and still trying to get a response from the company for an exchange since the day it arrived. I'm frustrated enough to consider returning it now. I ordered two jackets directly from the website to ensure authenticity. I reviewed the return policy to decide on size and preference. I intended to try both and return the one I liked less. After the product arrived, I replied to the delivery confirmation email for return instructions. They told me to wait a week for a return merchandise authorization from another company. I waited, but received nothing. I called the Friday before President's Day around local time. After a long wait, someone answered and hung up. I called back, but a recording said they were closed, contradicting their stated business hours. I emailed both addresses I had for help, but got no response. Their claim of faster service via email was false. I called again on President's Day and the recording said they were closed, likely for the holiday. Tuesday was busy for me, and today I spent half an hour on the phone trying to resolve this. I ended up leaving a message and informed them I was filing a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. I want to return the items and avoid this company in the future.

Struggling to get a refund for slippers, the company had been impossible to get ahold of, with no response to email, phone or chat for a month. I ordered a robe, slippers and socks from the company on 12/25 and received it on 1/6. The slippers did not fit so I followed the guidelines to submit a request for a return on the day they arrived, 1/6. I got an automated email back stating 'We have received your return request! Our team will be sending your Return Authorization number and a prepaid electronic label via email within 3-5 business days.' I looked for the label via email for a week and still nothing so I followed up via email. Since then, I have emailed the company at least 2-3 times a week hoping for some help with the label. I went to the website and called their customer service which rang for 25 minutes and then just sent me to a voicemail! The voicemail suggested emailing their customer service so I was sent in a full circle with no representative to help. Then I tried their 'chat now' feature and it isn't even activated. You click it to try to speak with someone live online and it doesn't lead to anywhere; it's just a fake button on the site. At this point I just want a refund for my slippers. It had been almost a month I've tried getting in touch with this company to no success of reaching anyone. I've checked my spam/junk every day for the label in case I missed it but I'm positive nothing has come my way. My order number is undisclosed and the total cost for the item I am returning is not specified. I am surprised by the lack of service for a company with a fairly good product reputation. I've attached a snapshot of all the emails I've sent to the company, and also their generic response back. Since the initial generated email there has been no communication on their end. No call back. No response. The company gives a 30 day return policy that I am fast approaching and have no way to get my item back to them to process this return. I am hopeful they will see this and reach out.

Had persistent issues getting a response to get a return label for a product. Now I cannot get a refund after mailing back the product. I purchased a blanket from BF on 11/18. I paid the $136 charge with a credit card. I never received an email when the product shipped, but I received the product on 11/24. I realized quickly that it was not the product I meant to purchase. I emailed their customer service on 11/24 asking for a return label so that I could return the blanket and purchase the correct one. Receiving no response, I emailed them again on 11/28. I received no response, and emailed a third time on 12/1. Still received no response. I emailed a fourth time, on 12/3. I realized it was the holidays and knew things were taking longer, but more than a week just to send me a return label was a bit absurd. I also tried to use the company's online "chat" feature, which did not work, and their customer service line. I called around 10 am on a regular business day, as their website states the line is available Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 pm. The messaging service told me that the office was closed. I finally received an email back on 12/4 stating that a return label would be sent to me. I sent the blanket back without ever using it. I tracked it with UPS. It was received on 12/14. On 12/16, I sent an email just to try to find out when I would receive a refund. I didn't expect a refund to be automatic with the holidays, I just wanted an idea of when I could expect one. My email was not answered. On 12/17, I sent another email, again asking how long until I could expect a return. Again, no one emailed me back. on 12/18, I sent a third email, asking about when I could expect a return of my money. Finally, on 12/24, I received a response. The customer care team stated that my refund had been expedited, and that I should see the funds credited to my account within 3-5 business days. Today is 1/5. I have checked my account daily and have not seen a refund appear. I sent another email today, asking where the "expedited" refund is, since I've allowed seven business days for it to show up.

The company will not issue a refund after items have been mailed and received by them. I am awaiting a refund for an order I placed on November 24th. The overall lack of care by the company has truly been astounding. As stated above, I placed my initial order on November 24th. There were 7 items in this order including a Dream Receiving Blanket, Ultra Lite Infant Ruffled Sock Set, Lite Ribbed Baby Blanket, Honeycomb Blanket, Panda Buddie, a Throw, and Waffle Baby Blanket. I did receive all items in a timely manner, but I ultimately decided to keep two of the items (Dream Receiving Blanket, Ultra Lite Infant Ruffled Sock Set) and return the other five items. I reached out on December 11th to start a return. I received a response later in the day stating my return authorization number and prepaid label would be sent in '2-4 business days' by the company. Fast forward to December 21st and I still have not received a return authorization number or a prepaid label. I called AND emailed on 12/21, but still never received either. Finally on December 28th, upon calling again (5th time at this point), I finally received the return authorization number but NOT the prepaid return label. I had to call back the following day on December 29th to finally obtain an email with the prepaid label. I promptly packed all 5 items in the original box I was sent and mailed it through the postal service using the provided prepaid label on December 30th. It was delivered on January 5th as confirmed through tracking. I expected to see a refund on my credit card, but when I didn't by January 25th, I called back into customer service. I was told on that day my refund was being processed and that I should expect a refund on my credit card within '24-48 business hours'. This never happened. I called back on February 1st and spoke with a representative who told me my refund wasn't processed because there were notes by her supervisor that she needed to reach back out to me to confirm the items I sent back because only 1 was scanned in by the warehouse. I was told this supervisor would be calling me back later in the day or first thing in the morning. No call happened. At this point, it seems the company is one big scam. I keep receiving the run around whenever I call or email and I have waited almost two months to see a refund. I have been more than understanding and have remained polite and cordial to every representative I have spoken with on the phone, but my respectfulness is getting me nowhere. It's obvious customer care isn't important to the company because they have numerous complaints, all similar to my complaint. I am left no choice but to file a complaint with the relevant authorities myself. I have done everything I needed to and followed the company's outlined return policies and procedures, but have yet to see a refund.
