I got my fence replaced last May
I got my fence replaced last May. The end of April, I noticed that the fence was already falling apart not even a whole year later. I got my fence replaced last May. The end of April , we decided to get the fence painted and treated. When we were inspecting it, I noticed that the fence was already falling apart not even a whole year later. I contacted Dallas at Beltway Builders to let him know what was going on and ask if there they could fix it since it was within the YEAR warranty. He replied that it was out of warranty and they couldn't fix it. I tried to ask how that was possible but got a rude response. I called again the next week to see if the issue could be resolved and have not heard back from him to this day (5/27). I have attached 1 photo of the fence ( I have more). You can clearly see the nails used were too small and did not go all the way through the wood.

2/9 Darryl from Beltway Builders came out to provide an estimate for leaks in the garage, foyer, and basement
2/9 Darryl from Beltway Builders came out to provide an estimate for leaks in the garage, foyer, and basement. Darryl stated that they could guess where the leaks were coming from or do infrared imaging. He suggested to go with the more expensive option, infrared imaging, which provides a pinpoint location of the leaks. Two checks were given, $500 to Beltway Builders & $300 to ***. On 2/23, Darryl returned with mold remediation specialists to determine cause of leaks. They did not perform any infrared leak detection. They only took pictures of my garage using a cell phone. They looked up at my ceiling in the foyer and speculated that there was a lose shingle on the roof. They stated that there was no mold in the basement so there was nothing for them to clean up. I spoke to Dawn and Joe Rein about being charged a premium fee for a service that was not provided. Additionally 2 of my 3 issues were not addressed.

Hello, We used Beltway Builders paid 1/3 cash deposit of $2,660.00 up front for a concrete patio under our existing deck
Hello, We used Beltway Builders paid 1/3 cash deposit of $2,660.00 up front for a concrete patio under our existing deck. The contractor never called or showed for seven weeks. Beltway Builders had no idea that the concrete patio was never completed and we were told that a manager would call back. A manager did call back 2 day's later and stated that it would be another two weeks for the company to lay the patio. Contractor showed unannounced on Monday 6/29 only after we called 10 days prior. The work was completed on Monday 6/29, contractor left a bag of trash on the grass. We notified Beltway Builders that trash was left and we were told that someone would be by to remove the trash. No one has ever showed up to remove the trash. Since it's concrete, it is too heavy for me to remove. Also contractor turned on side hose with out my permission and left the water on for 24 hours. My hose is destroyed & water bill is high.

Contractors put customer provided floor over or near wet padding that was not removed
Contractors put customer provided floor over or near wet padding that was not removed. No attempts to remove wet padding for over 4 months. Contractor was hired due to water damage repairs. Initial contract with H, project manager, July 8,was to repair source of water, spackle and paint, and to remove and replace damaged flooring. The flooring that needed to be replace was not longer sold. The customer did an addendum (September 16)t o the contract to remove identical flooring from another room to be used in damaged area and put carpeting in the room where the flooring was removed. Several requests was made by customer to the project manager to remove flooring due to the flooring warping because of the wet padding. The flooring and some of the wet was not removed until October 13. The contractor's flooring personnel used a different type of padding (moisture barrier) when replacing floor. When customer went to purchase supplies including the moisture barrier, Brian, the floor manager called customer and told to not purchase the moisture barrier because the padding removed from the room where the would was being removed would be used. About three (3) days later the flooring began to warp/lift. Called and spoke to DeAngelo H's supervisor, about my concern that there was wet padding left. I asked for a moisture text. DeAngelo agreed. The results from the tests revealed that there was still moisture underneath the flooring. DeAngelo agreed to search for matching flooring. Results came with no exact match to flooring. The location of the damaged area is located in an area that would be obvious seen. The contractor wanted customer to select flooring via computer. Since the contractor damaged the matching flooring provided by the customer and now has to have 2 rooms replaced in order to have the same flooring throughout the open area, customer asked the company to do so. Customer requested samples and also requested to speak to the owner, Joseph Butts, to get issue resolved but that didn't occur due to Mr. Butts unprofessional, belligerent, sexist and vulgar comments to customer.

Work was not completed properly so problems keep occurring
Work was not completed properly so problems keep occurring. We called Beltway Builders last summer and were contacted and met in our home by Howard B on May 21st. We agreed on the work that needed to be completed on the exterior of our home which was replacing all the old undersills on our 3 front windows, remove the wood that was there and re build with plywood and trim mold and match the paint as close as possible to the exterior paint colour we were already using. They also removed the sill plate and wood below out bay windows on the side of the house and bottom muffler underneath was also meant to be done but that never was. After chasing Howard after this meeting for a date the work was finally done in 1 day on June 14th. We paid $900 by cheque upfront to Howard on the day he was in our home and then the remainder of $1,700 was paid in cheque to the man Adam who came to do the work on June 14th. There was no order number just a copy of this invoice form he wrote when in our home. I asked if there was any paperwork to keep from Adam when he left after completing the work and he said no. The form we have from Howard and the notes I added myself were that he advised us the work that was completed was covered by a 1 year warranty. I had to call Howard on December 2nd because numerous joins and areas or caulk where cracking and showing gaps already. He told us he was putting a ticket in for Adam to come back and the Adam came back and re caulked and touched up the work on December 8th. Jan 22nd 2020 I had to email Howard again because the same issue had occurred again. Whether they used the wrong caulk for outdoors, or painted it too soon, or applied it to thick I don't know but this work should last years. He emailed me back Jan 23rd to say ''This contraction due to elements ...call me in spring ...when this type of outside work resumes...I'll look at it then ...'' Which is what he blamed it o the first time too and said it was due to weather. However this work should last years and not just months. We followed up with Howard by email a few weeks back and he did not reply to my husband so I followed up with him last night and he finally replied today (May 9th) by saying ''There will be a charge of $650 for calking again ...we serviced once and completion was signed...outside work is subjected to elements unfortunately...you buy caulk fee will be $450'' Despite the fact that the issues are caused by their work and not us and also that we are still within the year warranty. My husband and I were horrified that he replied in this manor and is asking for further money to fix the cracked caulk work which was never done properly initially. I have pictures of this I can send.

Company wants full payment for service
Company wants full payment for service. No work was done and the problem still exists. Company continuously canceled scheduled dates. Contacted Beltway Builders. On 11/12, Dave P, Project Mgr., arrived to review siding and schedule appt., for repair. We signed contract, $400 deposit for company to repair problem. Mr. P stated Co. will call and schedule date for repair. After five days on 11/17, I had to contact Co., and spoke with Katelan and was told that Mr. P scheduled the dates and he would call at 3pm. This is when the problems started. On 11/18 am I called Mr. P and left a message for him to call. He returned my call at 9 pm and said they will be here on 11/19. It rained that day and Co. did not show, call to reschedule or to cancel. Mr. P called 11/20 and said he would be out 11/23 or 24/20 if it didn't rain and reminded me that Thursday, 11/26 was Thanksgiving. It did not rain on those days and the Company never showed up or call to cancel or reschedule. On 11/27 I called Mr. P and he said he was coming out 12/7. I waited all morning and no one showed up or called. We contacted Mr. P to find out the status. Mr. P stated "they are not there yet?" "I will call them to find out where they are and will call you back." Mr. P never called back. We contacted Beltway 12/7 to register a complaint and was transferred to the owner. As soon as we started to explain the issue, the owner became irate and started yelling that he made the decision not to show for that day because it may rain. He also stated that he was not going to send his people out on a job over 2 hours away on a day that may rain. After explaining our frustration and dissatisfaction and continuous no shows the owner said he would send someone out 12/8. We agreed with this date. On 12/8 two company workers arrived. The worker stated the siding fasteners was in tact. The siding was not detached and they could find nothing wrong with it and no work was required or needed to be done. The worker stated that the bow in the siding may have been caused by the sun and there is nothing they could. The workers were here for approximately 1 hour. On 12/9, the owner of Beltway Builders called regarding a discount promised to us by Mr. P due to all of the delays and it would be $150 off. Since there was no work done and they could not find a problem with the siding, I was under the assumption the $150 would be taken from the $400 deposit. Owner stated the discount from the remaining balance of $850 and we owed $700. We asked why are you charging us the balance when no work was done or required and your workers stated there was nothing wrong with the siding and that there was nothing that they could do. The owner stated that they had to reattach some of the siding. I said the siding was already attached (and we have pictures of the siding to prove it). I requested an itemized receipt of the work that the owner stated was done. The owner flatly refused to give a itemized receipt and said we owe the balance of $700 or he would take us to court. To keep from arguing and continuing the conversation, we asked them to come out on 12/17. This was done to avoid harassments and to give us time to file a complaint and request assistance from the ComplaintsBoard.com.
