Horrible communication!
Horrible communication! They start off nice and detailed, but once they charge your credit card and have your belongings, it goes downhill. I will definitely inform my neighbors and friends. Beware! I'll post on Yelp and Google's moving company reviews. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this!
Terrible, terrible customer service
Terrible, terrible customer service. Mike said Berger would stick with us for the whole move. Well, they lost one of our boxes with precious artwork. They made us file a claim with a subcontractor who never bothered to call or inquire about the box. I received a couple of generic emails claiming they made calls but couldn't locate our box. That's all. They think their duty is done. How do they misplace a box that was in their hands? Terrible and unhelpful when you're in need.
Berger Allied in Tampa moved me from FL to AZ in October
Berger Allied in Tampa moved me from FL to AZ in October . My driver, Vic H, was great. He and his crew were real careful with my old furniture and he kept in touch with me the whole time. They did exactly what the guy (Mark M) who came to my condo to give me a quote said they would do. And the move coordinator (Charleen M) was real helpful in answering all my questions before the move. I got quotes from four companies before my move and I'm so glad I picked Berger Allied in Tampa.
These guys were hired by Roomandboard.com to deliver some fancy furniture
These guys were hired by Roomandboard.com to deliver some fancy furniture. They were super lazy and wanted me to come drive my own truck to theirs and pick up the furniture myself. That's what I'm paying THEM to do. When I said no, the phone suddenly hung up and I heard some swearing. They eventually delivered it and one thing was messed up - probably by them when they moved the stuff from a big truck to a smaller one. And to make it worse, they messed up one of the doorways they moved a piece through and now I have to get it repainted. Such a huge waste of time and frustration dealing with these guys.
Great service!
Great service! We moved two apartments (4 bedrooms in total) from LA to Phoenix. Berger had the cheapest estimate and they said we didn't need a shuttle truck because their big truck would fit on our street. Other companies always use a shuttle truck for apartments or condos. They didn't even check the street width on Google Earth! Not using a shuttle truck saved us $1,000. The move coordinator and truck driver (who managed the moving crews) were amazing. Would definitely use this company again!
Our family has done lots of long-distance moves and our move with Berger Allied was the worst ever
Our family has done lots of long-distance moves and our move with Berger Allied was the worst ever. The third-party companies they use are a disgrace. The "coordinator" they gave us was rude and didn't follow up when we had problems. When we called with questions, they treated us poorly and spoke to us like we were annoying. Our furniture got damaged and they didn't handle our stuff with care at all. The delivery took longer than any other move, even though it wasn't as far as our previous moves. With the terrible communication, clueless customer service, and awful delivery and driver, I won't use Allied again. We've told everyone we know about our experience to stop them from going through the same thing.
They were really nice and helpful when we first started talking about the contract
They were really nice and helpful when we first started talking about the contract. But let me tell you, they didn't keep any of their promises. They even tricked the drivers who came to deliver my stuff. This guy named Jeff *** promised that they would pick up my things from two places in Florida and deliver them to two nearby locations in Ohio. They said they would make it work even though the condo building had limited access. The pickup went fine, but the delivery was a disaster. Jeff and his friend only told the driver about one delivery and it seemed like they planned it for a weekend when they couldn't be reached. So, guess what? All my furniture ended up in a storage locker instead of going to my condo. I tried calling them on Monday, but they ignored me. One time, they even hung up on me in the middle of a sentence. And when I called back, they didn't answer. I'm a disabled veteran, and now I have to spend even more money to fix this mess they created.
I hired Allied moving on November 16, to move our belongings from Calif to Colorado
I hired Allied moving on November 16, to move our belongings from Calif to Colorado. They were supposed to arrive between 11/20 to 11/29, but the actual delivery didn't happen until 12/16, and it was done by Berger Transport. Berger Transport told me that I would be reimbursed $100 per day for the delay and any other costs related to their late delivery. To have a place to sleep, I rented an Air BNB from 11/28 to 12/16, which is when our belongings were finally delivered. I filled out all the paperwork that Berger Transport said they needed for the reimbursement and mailed it to the address they provided on 1/7/2022. However, today I received the entire packet back in the mail on 5/15/2022 with "unable to forward" stickers on it. All my paperwork and receipts were inside. They owe me $3845.59 in reimbursement. I paid them $7812.19 and signed a contract that they didn't follow.
This company ain't what it says it is
This company ain't what it says it is. You pay for the name, not the service. Ronnie came to my house to check what I had to move before the movers arrived. But when the movers showed up, they were hired Mexicans with no supplies like boxes, tape, or bubble wrap. They pick up these Mexicans from the street corner for cheap labor, and they don't have much experience. They come in an unmarked truck, which you don't know until moving day. They don't use one of the company's trucks (Allied), like Ronnie Trent told me. Instead, they show up in an old unmarked truck. Plus, they were late, which messed up my closing time. They didn't care about my schedule. The movers were terrible. Seriously, don't use Berger Moving & Storage (Allied) in Fort Worth, TX because you won't get what you paid for. It was a complete disaster on moving day. They came to my house unprepared and without any supplies. You pay a lot of money, and then you get a couple of Mexicans to move you. This company is a scam and doesn't keep their promises. Trust me, this company was like a nightmare from hell on my moving day. I'd give them one star! Thanks!
We hired Allied Berger of Charlotte for a move from SC to NJ, and we got the maximum insurance
We hired Allied Berger of Charlotte for a move from SC to NJ, and we got the maximum insurance. The move had a lot of problems that can't be excused. If you look into this company, you'll find many unhappy customers. The driver and truck showed up late, and they underestimated the load. We had to wait for a second truck the next day to finish loading, which messed up our plans. The second truck also arrived several hours late. The loads arrived in NJ about 10 days apart. Unfortunately, a lot of our personal items got damaged during packing, transit, and unloading. Furniture and other personal items were damaged, boxes got crushed and ripped, packing tape was torn and twisted, things got broken, and there was property damage to walls, doors, and stairs. We also had missing cherry wood table legs. Some items that we were going to move ourselves were randomly put in boxes without any packing material. It was clear that our stuff was handled carelessly. The furniture especially wasn't protected properly during loading, transit, and unloading. And the movers didn't protect our homes on either end, which caused unacceptable and irresponsible damage. If you think the insurance will cover your damages and losses, you're mistaken. SIRVA handled the claims process, but they also have many complaints from unhappy customers and seem to favor the moving company over the customer. The crew made notes about the condition of the furniture before the move, but I found out that they actually filled out the form after the delivery in NJ. That's very suspicious! They sent a repair service to fix the damages, and most things were repaired, but the repairs are obvious. The settlement they gave us was minimal compared to the total value of my stuff. It's beyond negligent!
We don't recommend this place in St
We don't recommend this place in St. Paul, MN. We had 13 vaults stored for a year at this location. The storage bill was $10,000. Driver Brian M and 4 guys came to unload the vaults into our new home. Brian M wasn't there to deal with the broken items and the fireplace ash that the guys dropped everywhere. He bragged twice about not needing to be around. Another guy was very unprofessional and when something broke, he just handed it to me without saying anything. When they finished, Brian M still wasn't there. But when he finally arrived, he rang the doorbell seven times. Rude! He came in and listed items on a form, saying they would come back to fix them, but they never did. I have this in writing! The move out of the vaults cost around $3600. After unpacking, we found 18 damaged items, totaling $5,864 in damage. We filed a claim and it went through several people before they finally sent us $420 to clean the carpet stained with fireplace ash. I called Randy M and told him about the mice feces in our sofa, damaged items, and the bad experience with the guys. Randy personally told me to contact him if we had trouble with the claim. He also mentioned they have an exterminator come every 2 weeks. (I sent them pictures of the mice feces on the sofa. They have a mice problem and you should know this!) Once the claim was filed, Berger Allied stated they wouldn't cover the cost of any damaged items or clean the sofa for $150. We will never recommend this company to anyone!

October 1, 2022. We moved from *** to *** and received our 65 *** all cracked. They only want to give us $459.99 for a replacement, but we paid $3,799 for a *** replacement. We bought our *** (the cracked one in 2016, close to $3,000) and now the *** is even more expensive. *** was the mover we hired to transport our belongings. The order number is ***.
I booked my move from one city to another
I booked my move from one city to another. The delivery was supposed to happen on April 7th, 2022. However, only half of my belongings arrived on that day. The remaining half, with a few boxes missing, was delivered on April 9th. Berger was supposed to handle the unpacking of my TV and marble tabletop, but they haven't sent anyone for that yet. They haven't been responsive to my messages either. I already paid for the move, but I'm not receiving the service I paid for.

Two guns, a light for a gun, and a case to lock the guns were taken from my house by some workers from this company while they were packing and loading my stuff (from 06/08 to 06/10). These things were in a faraway part of the house with a sign that said "don't pack," and I told the company right away the next day (06/11) after they loaded my things (and I also reported it to the police in my city).

I ordered some kitchen cabinets from Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc
I ordered some kitchen cabinets from Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. and let me tell you, it's been quite a rollercoaster ride. They initially told me that the delivery would be on November 25th, so I took the day off from work all excited. But guess what? They changed the date to November 20th, so I had to take another day off work. Can you believe it?
Just when I thought everything was finally sorted out, they called me on November 18th and said that the delivery would be pushed back to November 30th. Seriously? I had already taken two days off work, and now they expect me to take another one? It's getting a bit frustrating, to be honest.
And now, today, they hit me with another bombshell. They said that the delivery won't be until December 4th. I don't know if I can swing that day off, considering I've already taken three days off for this. It's just not fair, especially given the circumstances.
You see, I work in a Care Center, and things are pretty chaotic right now. Almost all of our residents either have COVID or are showing symptoms of it. It's a tough situation, and these days off for the cabinet delivery are the only ones I've taken, apart from tomorrow and Wednesday, which I need for a funeral.
I really hope Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. can understand the inconvenience they've caused me. It's been a hassle trying to coordinate everything, especially with my work schedule and the current situation at the Care Center. I just want my kitchen cabinets already, without any more delays or surprises.
This company is a scam and lied every step of the way
This company is a scam and lied every step of the way. They couldn't decide what day they were packing or how many days that would take. They couldn't decide what day they were moving our stuff. They told us we had a timeline and driver when we didn't. Said they had alternate transportation when they didn't. Said our items were in transport when they weren't. Promised to accommodate a delivery at a specific time and showed up late. Refused to assemble items they had taken apart and said they would reassemble. They've damaged items, and managed to lose our entire couch which suspiciously happens to be our one nice, custom piece of furniture. They allowed their movers into our home with no mask in defiance of safety recommendations and risked our exposure to COVID-19.
On July 10, we filed a Delay Claim #*** for our household goods, which arrived 2 days later than expected
On July 10, we filed a Delay Claim #*** for our household goods, which arrived 2 days later than expected. Account Executive, Jeffrey Butters, told us to send in receipts and expenses for the inconvenience of driving over 100 miles to meet the truck driver on a street corner and then taking the manifest to downtown Vancouver to clear Canadian Customs. The driver mistakenly passed our house and drove the extra 100 miles to Vancouver due to poor planning. It was supposed to be cleared at the "closest" customs office. Basically, we did Berger Allied's job for them. We're asking for $100 per day for the 2-day delay, $5.00 for parking, IRS mileage rate of $.56 per mile for 201 miles, and the time it took us was 5.5 hours for 2 people at $15 per hour each, totaling $482.56. We followed the instructions of the Berger Allied Account Executive and we expect them to honor their employee's word. As of now, we haven't received any payment.
I had a contract for our move from Plano, TX to Ottawa, ON
I had a contract for our move from Plano, TX to Ottawa, ON. The moving company changed the pick-up date after we left for Ottawa, so my sister had to be there for the loading. The contract said our items would be delivered between November 28 - December 8, but they didn't arrive until December 19. I called multiple times but got little information about when to expect our items. The representative said we got an updated contract, but I never got it and they couldn't show it to me. Only when I asked about the $100 per day they owed me for not fulfilling the contract did I get more accurate information. I filled out a delay claims form but haven't heard anything back. The representative said I would only be reimbursed from December 14, even though the contract said delivery by December 8.
We hired North American Van Lines, who's with Berger Transfer & Storage, to move our stuff from Crownsville, MD to Bountiful, UT
We hired North American Van Lines, who's with Berger Transfer & Storage, to move our stuff from Crownsville, MD to Bountiful, UT. Berger did the delivery on September 18. The day after, we noticed two watches we brought ourselves were gone. We told North American, and they said to talk to Berger since they did the delivery. Berger asked if we filed a police report, which we did. But since then, they keep delaying things. The detective asked for the names of the people who delivered our stuff, but Berger didn't give them. Berger got the request, but didn't bother to reply. They won't take responsibility for the missing stuff, even though it wasn't out in the open. The stuff was in drawers, so their workers had to go through them to find and take it. Berger says they bond and insure their employees, but they won't own up when their employees take customers' things.
This company moved us from AZ to MO
This company moved us from AZ to MO. Everything they touched they either lost it, broke it or damaged it. They paid us for everything they lost...which I am still not sure how they lost my husband's work bench that weighed like 300 pounds with a vice and a grinder attached to it... and paid us for a few things they broke...other than my husband's guitar neck was cracked because they did not box it up as we had asked. They said they did not have a box big enough so it got broke and they refuse to pay for that. We asked them to box our stereo equipment flat in a box. Again they said they did not have a box big enough so the stereo equipment was boxed on its side and after bouncing around for *** miles something got broke inside and they will not pay for this. We paid a lot of money for this service feeling we could trust this company with our belongings so I feel they should have had the correct size boxes to handle our belongings. Our 45" plasma TV was received with lines going across the screen...sometimes it works and sometimes it does not and it will shut off by itself. I am not sure what they did to this! They will not pay for that since it did not have any external damage. All of these items worked fine before they put their hands on it! And then there is the damage to our furniture which either got scratched, gouged, chipped or damaged. They want to pay us for the damage to our furniture the amount it would cost to REPAIR this furniture. I do not want this furniture repaired! It needs to be replaced! Everything they touched they messed up one way or the other...everything we owned was in excellent working condition and now we are left with damaged furniture! I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy! I feel they need to step up and admit their negligence in this matter and pay us for the replacement of these things...not have it repaired. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!
The move plan was for Berger to provide two trucks on loading day 11/11
The move plan was for Berger to provide two trucks on loading day 11/11. But they made a mistake and only gave us one truck. The driver thought he could fit everything in one truck, but he couldn't. So he had to come back later with a different truck to pick up the rest of our stuff. It took him 5 days to deliver it to us. Some of our bedroom items were missing, and we couldn't check if everything was loaded properly in Charlotte because of the mover's mistake. We think that when they were consolidating the boxes, they might have left, thrown away, or stolen some items from the bottom. Because of the mover's failure to provide two trucks as agreed, they should take responsibility for any losses. When our goods were delivered, we found a lot of damages caused by the movers. Some items were broken or damaged. The house also got damaged in different ways, which was a big problem because we had just finished remodeling it. We had to do a lot of repairs. Some antiques were damaged too. The inspector agreed that a dry sink veneer was damaged, but they didn't want to fix it because there was already an old mark on it. Two lamps were missing crystals, and we had to find replacements ourselves. We asked for the value of the lamps, but they said no. There were many damages to the house, and instead of getting a local expert to fix them, they sent someone from Atlanta who wasn't specialized in that area.
I hired Allied Berger for a move, but faced delays and damages.
I hired Allied Berger to move my belongings. The movers were scheduled to arrive early March and deliver within the same week. They rescheduled the pick-up last minute. Two movers took 4.5 hours to pack my apartment, leaving out the TV, mirrors, and bed. We left as they were still loading at 5pm. The delivery was postponed due to truck repairs, and I had prepaid $4200. I complained to customer service as Allied refused any discount or split payment. After delivery, I found damaged and missing items. I filed a claim for $794, but it's on hold due to unresolved issues. Allied's response was inadequate, offering only $299 after a 60-day review. Sirva denied responsibility for the missing item, despite us noticing it post check-in. Their customer service has been disappointing, and I'm seeking a fair resolution.
