A representative answered the phone almost immediately, which was a relief. I explained that I didn't know why I was being charged and wanted to cancel any future payments.

The representative told me that a few months ago, I had used a "reverse look-up" phone number service and had agreed to some type of monthly subscription. I was surprised because I didn't remember agreeing to anything like that. However, the representative was very understanding and cancelled any future payments. Not only that, but she also refunded all payments for the past few months.

I was happy with the outcome, but I couldn't believe that Bizshark and/or Spokeo would do something like this. It's a total scam! I learned my lesson and will be more careful when using any online "free" service for background checks or looking up phone numbers.
