Same story as all of the others on here. Was slightly behind on mortgage (1 month), contacted them for a loan modification because the adjustable rate was about to make payments go WAY up, so they charged me +$600 and did...nothing. Told me to hold off on payments as they were working the details with mortgage co., and that my contacting them coulc "mess up" their dealings with them. I complied for two months. The mortgage co foreclosed in that time... said that they had never heard of Bills Made Simple or talked to anyone about it. We offered to pay up... they said too late. BMS refused ALL phone calls from us.
I also have MANY emails and several messages saved to my voicemail from them. Since then EVERY number I have for them and their web site... GONE... shut off... disconnected.
Anyone needs anything I have or wants to join in a class actions suit. I AM IN

The San Diego City Attorney’s Office maintains a Consumer Protection Unit. I am also a victim of BMS. Now they changed their name into BMS LAW OFFICE and at new location but the same phone number. Of course there is no web site nor any information about them.
My husband and I paid $1, 850.00 w credit card last October and there were no action to be taken w our modify. so my husband called to get money back. Then they started NOT to response either via phone or mail. Therefore, we had no choice to file BBB report after a year later. After two letters sent to them from BBB, my husband got phone call from Kevin Fischer that he'd do whatever he could to help us and he'll keep in touch. Of course nothing happening yet. I'm worry now that they file bankruptcy and disappear before we get our money back. I will contact to county attorney and file DRE office ASAP. I'll do anything to get our money back.
Quit using service due to unexpected charges. They are claiming girls owe money but cannot provide detailed billing information. I have emailed and left messages for them to contact me directly, no response. They are threatening to turn everyone over to collections. I will be contacting small claims court for assistance or advise.
Fraudulent up charges
I received my bill from Simple Bills with previous months billing as if their billing me again for previous months. This type of service is unethical and some one needs to investigate this type of behavior. I'm a college student already struggling and the unwarranted bills is something I cant afford when I already pay my bills online.
You disgusting people know what you are doing... there is no way I am using $150 of water per month, and you backcharge for previous months! It should be illegal.
This company is run by crooks. They charged us double for the last month as estimate and then when I called to get my refund I am told I should have submitted a true up process within 14 days and now they are just holding my money.
