BookIt.com scamming guest out of there money and employees too

If you are looking for a deal, please look elsewhere! The few bucks you might save are not worth the trouble. The system fails often which results in higher prices for the the online shopper. Please if you enter your credit card information beware. The system charges your card multiple times and you may not know it. The only response you will get from bookit.com is endless hours of hold music, (if your lucky), and transferred to different departments to only be told wait 20 days for a refund. The employees are trained to avoid the guest by transferring and never ask for a manager because that is another transfer to a customer service person not a manager. Im sure you have read this somewhere else before. A manager rarely ever will pick up the phone unless you threaten them with a law suit. Not only does bookit.com cheat its guest, they also cheat the employees. Thank god for the labor department for stepping in and making sure all employees where paid fairly. For years employees at bookit.com worked overtime and was never paid until someone reported them to the department of labor for unfair labor practices. Thanks to the department of labor for getting employees the pay they where entitled. Do not shop with bookit.com

BookIt.com double billing

I booked and paid in full for a stay at tahoe keys resort in lake tahoe, in february, 2012. Upon arrival at tahoe keys, I was charged another full fee for the same stay. Tahoe keys informed me that they did not receive any money from bookit.com and that bookit.com was only contracted to make the reservation and not to collect fees for this resort stay. I have paid twice for one stay through bookit.com while bookit.com has kept the money they collected from my bank account. I was not prepared to pay again for a stay that I had already paid for 3 months earlier. Do not use bookit.com they will scam you out of money and you will be left to pay for your stay upon arrival.

BookIt.com overcharged

I booked an all-inclusive vacation today. On the checkout page, when I entered my credit card details, I was told my credit card would be charged $2196.91. I clicked to process the charge, and on the next page, the confirmation said my credit card had been charged $2276.91. Customer service is non-responsive. I'm lucky they only stole $80 from me and not more. This is a warning to other people — if you must purchase through bookit, make sure you print out a screen shot of the final payment page before you submit your payment. Because you will likely be charged an amount that is more than you agreed to. I believe this happened to me last time I booked with bookit too — but last time the difference was only $20 or so, so I didn't think much about it. Buyer beware — bookit is skimming money from unsuspecting customers!

I had purchased a package from Bookit.com on March 29, 2009 for a total of $684.12. This was for hotel accomodations at the Canto Del Sol Plaza Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 4 nights from April 7, 2009 to April 11, 2009. The confirmation I received states there is 1 Guest and 1 Adult. The names it is reserved under is Amit Solanki and Geeta Solanki. Upon arrival at the hotel, we had no problems checking in on April 7. On April 9, 2009, upon arriving back at the hotel after a tour, we found out we had been locked out of our room. The front desk at the hotel informed us that we need to pay an additional $300 because the confirmation from Bookit.com has 2 names in the reservation but they only charged me for one person. I then called Bookit.com via the Canada number the hotel provided [protected]) and spoke with Megan. She informed me that the reservation was made for only one person, but I let her know that it was impossible because there are 2 guest names in the reservation. After an hour of debate, she stated she would have her manager call me back in our room at 11pm eastern (10pm central) to discuss further. My husband and I returned to our hotel room by 9:30pm central after having to cancel show tickets for that evening in order to resolve this issue. We never received a phone call and were in our room until 9am the next morning. We had another tour we went on that day (April 10, 2009) and upon returning, we were locked out of room once again because the hotel was demanding $300 to be paid before allowing us to re-enter. I called Bookit.com once again at the same number and spoke with Sally who informed me that their records stated someone had already tried to call us which was not the case because we never received that call. Then for another hour I explained that the reservation was made for 2 people and that is clear by the number of names it was reserved under, clearly stating Amit Solanki and Geeta Solanki. I also let her know that I should not be responsible for the additional $300 because I reserved the room correctly. She accused me of wanting free money and they would not be paying the additional $300 because I am the one who did not enter the information correctly. I told her that is impossible, because when I entered two guests online, the next screen prompted me to enter in both guests' names. That is why the reservation clearly has two full names under it. If Bookit.com did not quote me correctly, then I should not be responsible for any additional charges. I then asked to speak with a manager (Benjamin) who spent another 30 minutes arguing with me and accused me of intentionally being dishonest so that I could get free money. I got extremely angry and asked him how it is possible that the reservation has two names in it. He claims that I entered in both names for only one guest. This is definitely not the case and as I just verified, the website defaults to 2 adults. In addition, I would not have been able to enter in 2 full names in the reservation had it been for only one person. In the end, Benjamin hung up on me and we were forced to pay the $300 to the hotel in order to return to our room. This was a very frustrating experience. the people from bookit.com were extremely rude, very unprofessional and ruined our vacation.

I booked a vacation package for myself and my boyfriend on 2/12/2011 to Las Vegas. When I clicked the "bookit" button, and reread all of my flight info I found out that they had completely changed all the flights from what I had chose in the previous screens. I immediatly called Bookit.com to figure out what happened, the customer service rep said sometimes the website does that and that she could get me on the correct flights for an extra $130.00 per person ($260 total). I was so upset at the time I said ok just book the correct flights and I will pay the $260. She sent the itinerary to me via e-mail and everything looked fine. At that point my bank account had been charged $703.00 as promoised and I was awaiting the extra $260.00 charge to show up. Two days later I looked at by account and it said I was overdrawn by $-1900.00! I looked into the details and saw TWO seperate charges for $1215.80 each. I again immediatly called BOOKIT.COM. I waited on hold for approx. an hour to get to the right person that could try and help me, finally I talked to a supervisor she assured me that something went drastically wrong on their end and that one charge would be dropping off and the other I would be recieving a check in the mail in 7-10 buisness days for. I was happy to at least be getting a refund on the overcharges. The next day the one charge dropped. But I was still overcharged over $1500+. So I waited and waited for my check in the mail. On the 10th day I was getting worried, I had missed my car payment, my rent was due in 3 days and my account was occuring overcharges everyday that passed. I call BOOKIT.com again, I talked to a different person this time and she let me know that my check was sent out on the 25th and it would be here in 3 days. So again I waited, 3 days passed, still no check I called AGAIN, this time someone assured me my check was in the mail and I would recieve it in 3-5 more buisness days... WTF first its 7-10, then 3 days now another 3-5? There is something wrong with this buisness, with all the other reviews I have read I guess I'm not the only one with this problem. I have contacted a lawyer and will be contacting the BBB now that I have a recorded message and e-mail with all the things promised to be refunded to me. The only problem is I have no money, my account is still negitive so all my direct deposit paychecks just go against the balance, I have no money to pay my rent, my car or by any food for my family. Still waiting on this "check" that was suppose to be sent... DO NOT USE BOOKIT.COM EVER

I justI booked package from this travel and I got hard time too, with this travel which is very hard to call or speak direct with person, they only use with machine answer to speak with ..
I been trying to call many time n many numbers, I still didn't get through speak with people . I really regret not to read all this review first...
To all you guys trust us n think carefully if you really want to purchase package from this website travel...specialy for international travel.
I cross my fingers everyday hoping can speak directly with person not with machine ...
I will let you know honestly result of my experience traveling with this travel agency when I coming back from my vacation...

yes, but i've been "being assisted" for the last 3 weeks and still havent seen a refund check. Today another rep did contact me and actually told me that the information I was told when I called on Tuesday 3/1/2011 was not true. She told me that my check had actually been sent on the following day after the first rep "assured" me it was already sent. She told me I would have to wait another 3 buisness days. Now this is going on 3 weeks of waiting. I will give her 3 more buisness days and if I do not recieve the check by then I will be contacting the Better Buisness Bureau.

BookIt.com misleading promises

Let’s begin with how our vacation started….

We arrived to mexico and we had no transportation to our hotel. We had to pay for the taxi.

The package we bought from bookit.com was all inclusive.

When we checked in to the hotel we were told the tennis courts were under reconstruction. The main reason we booked this hotel was to be able to play tennis, which we enjoy very much. Not to mention we traveled with our tennis bags and tennis attire.

When we got to our room we had 2 double beds and a warm refrigerator with 2 warm beers. We should have had a king size bed and fully stocked mini bar.

We spent much our time in the concierge’s office and at the front desk resolving these issues. Then we went to see about water sports (Snorkeling) and were told that would be extra. When we tried to find a representative from bookit.com there was no one to speak to.in order for us to call bookit.com it would cost $3 a minute.

That evening I tried to order room service and they said we could not because we were not premium customers and room service was not available to us.

When my husband and I booked our vacation we were under the impression we had the best package. We thought we had purchased the package that included all the amenities and once we got there we could relax.

I felt like the whole time we were there we were constantly talking to the concierge’s office trying to get what we payed for. They told us to talk to h10 premium and we would receive all the upgrades. So we did and once again spent our entire day with this company. Our trip was only for 5 days. Our expectations were very misleading. We are so disappointed.

When we went to head to the airport, once again we had no transportation and had to pay for a taxi. This vacation was a huge mess.

This was our first experience with bookit.com and are very disappointed.

Worst customer service ever! My friend and I booked rooms in nyc through bookit and we both received confirmation emails. However the day before we left my friend called the hotel... You guessed it — no booking. My friend spent over 6 hours - i'm not exaggerating — over 6 hours on the phone trying to work it out. They did very little to make up for the time and aggravation. Avoid book-it at all costs!

We booked a hotel in Myrtle Beach (Atlantica Resorts) in the middle of July 2011. We booked this hotel in April. We thought we were getting a great deal b/c we booked a 2bdr 2 ba oceanfront condo for about $100 less than the hotel's rate.
We arrived at the hotel around 2pm and hotel check in time was 3pm. We only hoped they would let us check in early. After telling the front desk clerk my name she quickly replied with "I don't have your reservation". After I asked how this could happen, she went on to explain that bookit.com cancelled the reservation. She then told me that they had just sold the last room and I would have to call bookit and deal with them.

I am not kidding I was on hold with bookit.com for at least an hour before I heard a real person's voice. Each time after about 10 minutes of being on hold the call would just hang up on you. I understand that it was a Friday afternoon in the middle of summer, but having to wait that long to speak to someone is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Once I actually spoke to someone they put me on hold for another 10-15 minutes to "figure out the problem". When bookit's customer service representative finally came back on the line she explained that the hotel cancelled the reservation b/c they didn't receive payment from bookit.com. She stressed that it was the hotel's fault b/c they should not have sent me a confirmation # if they never received payment for the room. This is true, but she never did explain to me why bookit.com never sent the hotel my payment.

After about another 20 minutes of being on hold, I was connected to someone who would try to relocate me to a bookit.com participating hotel. Somehow in the big city of Myrtle Beach, SC, there was only one hotel available. This hotel was not oceanfront. While I had spent the past 2 hours on hold and speaking to bookit, my mom and my husband had found another oceanfront hotel that had a few rooms available. I asked bookit if they could transfer the money that I had paid them to another hotel. They said no. I explained to bookit that I booked an oceanfront hotel and I would not settle for a non-oceanfront one. They only apologized. So I then asked if I could just get a full refund of my money. They said that would take 7 - 14 business days. So after paying $851.70 to bookit.com months ago I was supposed to magically come up with more money to pay for another hotel room.

To make things even worse, the next day I got an e-mail from bookit stating that I would receive a refund of $581.68. What happened to the other $270.02? I immediately called bookit again and spoke with a woman who stated she would look into the matter and call me back that day. Of course I never heard from this woman again. After a few days went by I went on bookit's website and sent a message. No one ever called me. A few days later I spoke to someone else who explained to me that bookit charged me cancellations fees and that's why it was not a full refund. So I had to go through the whole scenario again with this person and explain to them that NO, I would not pay cancellation fees when it was YOUR FAULT. Finally, after speaking with his manager I was told that I would get my full refund and I did within a few days.

The main problem I have with bookit is their customer service and they way they do business. It is incredibly difficult to get through to them. Your placed on hold for ridiculous amounts of time and several times I was hung up on only to start the whole process over again. It is totally unacceptable that they can screw up your hotel reservation but you have to wait 2 weeks for a refund. The hotel I booked with said that they have problems with bookit all the time.

They have the worse customer service I have ever experienced! Can't believe they are even still in business. Once they get your money, try talking with someone to modify your reservation or change/correct anything. The wait times start at 30 minutes. This past weekend I spent 2 hours on hold and then another 30 minutes after speaking with a customer service rep. Then after another 2 hours after I had been assured the problem was resolved, discovered it had not been resolved. It was only after I sent a message threatening to post of Facebook and Twitter about the poor customer service did the problem get resolve.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! IT'S NOT WORTH THE BOTHER FOR ANY "BARGAIN" OR "DISCOUNT" THEY OFFER

I definitely agree with you... I'm never going to make a hotel reservation with bookit.com! Their customer service is extremely poor, I waited almost 30 minutes to be able to talk to an agent... I made a reservation at the Bahama Bay resort & spa for only 1 night and I got it for $75 when the original price per night was almost $199... So we drove 4 hours and we were extremely tired and we were ready to check in and go to sleep for a little bit before going to HHN... when we got to the front desk, the lady was very kind but she told us that apart from paying the $75 for the villa reservation, we had to pay $70 extra for cleaning service, when we were only staying one night, plus $10 for the resort fee... So we weren't really paying $75, we were actually paying $150 for one night... So we left the resort and searched for a cheap hotel in which we could spend the night in... So we found one for $40 a night... And when I called bookit.com, I waited almost an hour to talk with an agent... And I explained to the agent that I never saw anything about paying $80 extra for the resort and cleaning fee, but the agent just said sorry and said that we couldn't get a refund... (SO THAT MEANT THAT WE THREW AWAY $75 IN A RESORT THAT WE DIDN'T EVEN SPEND THE NIGHT IN) all the agent could do was send a penalty waiver to the resort manager to see if the manager would consider refunding us the $75, but the agent said that he didn't guaranteed me to get a refund... So I'm never booking a hotel in bookit.com never again... So beware, if you find a room for a great resort or hotel and the price is really cheap, don't be fooled cuz it comes with a catch to pay more money...

BookIt.com did not get what was promised

I booked two rooms with “bookit.com” what a huge mistake. First let me say, their employees are taught to be very nice and seemingly helpful, until something is wrong. Once I confirmed my purchase of an ocean view room with the sheraton poipu resort I found out that I was booked into the “garden section with a partial ocean view.” my reservations were for an ocean view room, not partial. I went back to bookit and for weeks they said they were going to straighten it out and never did. I got the same results no matter who I talked with. They offered me $100 for each room I booked with a release of liability and that I would not say anything any the problems to a third party. Really? You mis-advertise what you’re selling and want to buy me off with $100 and not fix the problem? After several weeks I contacted the gm of the sheraton and the problem was taken care of in less than 24 hours by the sheraton, not bookit. I received and ocean front room. Why did I not check the reviews on trip advisor first or even on their own website. Do not use bookit, save yourself the headache. Go threw the hotel directly.

BookIt.com unprofessional

Received confirmation for a hotel booking (Via www.bookit.com), when I arrived to the hotel I was told no reservation was received from the company. Additionally, the hotel was sold out for my dates. After traveling, working ten hours and then driving to the hotel... I was denied a room. The entire experience was very unprofessional, and to make matters worse, bookit.com wanted to re-book at a hotel that was 25 minutes away. After requesting an immediate refund, I ended up finding my own room else where. Short and simple... Stay away from www.bookit.com!

BookIt.com price match... or lack there of!

We bought a vacation package to vegas for a family of four and as the website had show tickets listed, we purchased tickets for a couple of shows - 8 tickets in total. We were heartened by their 'price match guarantee'. A couple of days later, they had lower prices for these tickets on their own website. (Lower by $40 per ticket!) and we called to get a price match - and were told that these tickets were non refundable and hence could not be price matched or cancelled. This sounds like bs to me; would not do business with them again!

BookIt.com bait and switch?

I would just like to warn your wonderful hotel that we (My family) were scammed by an online booking agency. You should not do business with them! On monday (1/9/12) my husband was looking for our spring break vacation online. He came across a deal on bookit.com that would have given us 7 days and 6 nights at a beautiful resort. He was amazed at the resort and had me look at it the next day. The price was perfect for us…we decided to book it! We told our children and everyone was super excited. Then I received a call from bookit.com saying they were sorry but the price they quoted us and that we booked at was not available. They said they were going to cancel our dream vacation. I asked them what it would really cost. They said they are unable to even get us the vacation we purchased and that they can maybe find us something somewhere else. I said I want the vacation that I purchased! They will not do it. I think it was a bait and switch scam. I asked to speak to a manager, after putting me on hold for a half hour was told they were busy. I said I will expect a call back. The same rep called me back ten minutes later and said they will be busy all night and that I need to cancel the vacation or the flight will be unrefundable. Unreal! So mad!

BookIt.com crooked company

We stayed at wyndhum hotel san diego for one night and canceled with them the 2nd night because of a family emergency. The hotel promised us a credit for the 2nd night. Bookit.com was going to wait till the hotel will agree for the credit. After several phone calls to bookit to get the credit back from bookit.com we got an email saying that the hotel didnt honer the credit. Very untrue, shame on bookeit. They wanted to sit on the money the hotel credit it back to them. I finally got bookit to admit that they will credit one nicht back to me today. Bookit is very crooked company and horable service. Wyndham hotel was nice to follow up on the credit. Thanks to good people like vonny at wyndham hotel. Shame on bookit. I will never use bookit.com again.

BookIt.com worst travel booking

We booked a vacation through bookit.com several months prior to our vacation. We were booked to stay 7 days in cancun. At first we believed bookit.com to be very easy to work withe and everytheing was running smoothely. That was until theere was a weatheer issue in cancun, theey were having a very severe hurricane (Hurricane rina) and our flights were getting cancelled and thee resort we were staying at was not allowing people to check into thee resort due to thee severe weatheer. I called bookit.com to see what our options were... I didn't get any answers from theem, theey just directed me to call thee airlines, I did not book directly therough thee airlines I had booked therough theem so theey could handle calling thee airlines for me. But theat was fine I hung up thee phone called thee airlines to see what my options were therough theem. Well I could plan to go elsewhere if I would like. My problem was theere was zero communication from bookit on my resort so I had no way of booking a new flight witheout knowing if I had a place to stay. So withe theat I called bookit.com back. After many phone calls back and forthe from bookit to thee airlines I finally told bookit theat I would not be calling thee airlines back and theey can handle it. Told theem thee destination as to where we wanted to go (Which we gave theem a couple options so we weren't stuck withe one destination) told theem what resorts we would be happy to stay at (Withe theeir input of course) and also we were very flexible on theat dates theat we left, we just wanted to make sure theat we have a vacation theat was comparable to our cancun vacation booked. After back and forthe withe bookit (And being on thee phone withe theem for about 4 hours) I was under thee impression theat everytheing was taken care of. I received my email confirmation on my supposed to be "new" flight and hotel information. They did not change anytheing except thee dates theat we were traveling to cancun. Per our last phone call we were going to cabo san lucas leaving thee 30the and coming back thee 6the and staying at thee hotel riu palace. None of theis information was in my "new vacation" confirmation. The only theing theat was right were thee dates. Then I had to call back bookit explain to theem what thee last agent had told me because even theough I had her name and direct line she would not take any of my phone calls. Anotheer 4 hours later and theem telling me I had to pay an additional $1200 theat day to rebook (Which I refused to do since theat was not in thee travel agreement) I was transferred to two different supervisors and finally thee last one told me theat theere would be no reason as to why I would need to pay anytheing out of pocket we were to actually receive money back because our trip to cabo was less theen our booking to cancun. Great it was a relief I truly thought everytheing was handled and we were on our way to a nice relaxing vacation (Which it was). We arrive in cabo to await our transportation to our hotel (Which we paid for therough bookit.com) thee transfer got theere but theey were theere to pick up otheer people our names were not on theeir list. Of course theey told us theey would still take us theere and get it all squared away after we checked in. Okay wonderful we get to thee hotel to check in... And low and behold we have no reservations at thee hotel! It took theem 3 hours to get us checked in and to figure out where our reservations were. Finally we were able to enjoy ourselves and have a wonderful week in cabo... That was until we went to get our transportation back to thee airport. Our flight was at 4pm... Our transportation was to pick us up at 1:15 from thee hotel... I verified theis twice withe thee bookit.com people theat are onsite at thee resort, we have a voucher to show thee time and everytheing. We decided to relax by thee pool before we have to check out get back to thee airport... But to our surprise our transportation shows up at 11:15... (We hadn't even checked out thee thee hotel and were relaxing by thee pool) I showed thee book it people our voucher but theey informed me theat thee 1:15 travel van was full and we had to get on thee 11:15 or we had no transportation to thee airport... We ended our vacation just as it started withe bookit... Pissed off! We sat at thee airport for 4 hours on thee last day because of bookit.com's screw up. I will never in my life book therough theem again. It was thee worse travel arrangements ever. The only theing theat theey did right was referring us to a beautiful resort theat took very good care of us. Highly recommend the riu palace in cabo... Will never recommend bookit.com.in fact I will do thee opposite and make sure theat everyone knows our experience withe theem and hope theat theey will not use theem and are able to have a smoothe booking and wonderful vacation as you are supposed to.

BookIt.com pooor customer service

We used bookit for our family vacation at the grand sunset princess at the riviera maya in august 2011. The sales agent was very helpful and we feel we got a good deal. They are great at booking your vacation. However, their customer service department is horrible! Like other postings, if you call for customer service you need to plan on being hold for at least 45 minutes to an hour just to talk to someone. I think it's their tactic to get you to hang up which I had to do several times because I have a life. The reason I needed to call was because one person in our party had to cancel. We knew we couldn't get a refund on the flight but they said we had like 7 days to make any hotel changes. So, I tried several ways to get ahold of someone - even acting like I wanted to book something but of course, those agents cannot help you make any change - they transfer you to customer service. I even told them make sure i'm not on hold forever and they said someone would be with me right away (Ha!). So I bit the bullet and took my phone outside while I was doing yard work and it was almost an hour before a real person relieved me of their "on hold message" which still rings in my head. They did cancel that person and I was told I would get a refund (They wouldn't say how much) but have yet to receive anything. I haven't pursued it yet as I know it will frustrate me to death and just didn't want to deal with them. They also said it wouldn't be an "even" refund because now that we have less people going our pricing has changed. Whatever! They need to learn what customer service is about - maybe I would use them again as we are now planning a group trip to jamaica but I told the organizer whatever they do, do not use bookit!

BookIt.com bait and switch, no refund

I am posting this review to let other people know how unhappy I am with the way my vacation was handled by bookit.com and the grand mayan riviera maya resort in playa del carmen mexico.

I pre-paid bookit.com three months in advance for a family vacation package at the resort. After eight hours of traveling, I arrived at the resort to be told that they did not have a reservation for me and had never heard of me. Even though, I had all of the proper documentation and confirmations. After four hours of talking back and fourth with the resort and bookit.com, I was offered accommodations in the less expensive sister resort. After sixteen hours of dealing with this, I accepted the room, and hoped to straighten it out later. Neither bookit.com or the resort would consider giving me a refund for the difference.

This was definitely a bait and switch tactic and I wanted to post this information so that it can help others avoid the situation

Beware of bookit.com, and the grand mayan riviera maya resort and mayan palace riviera maya resort in playa del carmencancun mexico.

Thanks for the advice. I was also scammed in Playa del Carmen, only that i was scammed by Royal Elite. I purchased a travel program through Royal Elite at Sandos Resort in Mexico last March and I requested to cancel within the 5 day grace period but they still have not refunded my down payment of over $9000 US dollars. I have been in touch with people there and they say they are working the process but it takes time. It has now been 5 months and I am losing faith they will ever pay me back. I know i am not the only one, this is a forum with more angry Royal Elite timeshare owners:

Illegal fligth

This is how west jet describe the fligths that I bougth at bookit.com they told me that those fligths where force! Togheter in order to make them look ok but they were not. West jet said that if you buy those fligth direct from them west jet will never sell it to you. Because it's an illegal fligth, we lost the one day of the trip in another city with out lauggage it's up to you but I will never ever ever use book it.com again in my life never, if you thing this is fake my e-mail is [protected]@yahoo.com send me an e-mail do not buy anything from this company

BookIt.com I will never book with bookit.com again

I will never book with bookit.com again. They called me the day before my trip to confirm my hotel, so the day I arrived at the airport they left me a message saying my hotel was over booked. I spent an hour on the phone making them find me another hotel. They offered me a refund but I was already in nyc so where was I suppose stay. Luckily enough they found me a hotel in a good area but it was such a hassle to deal with this. So I ended up staying 6 days in a smokers room and I don’t even smoke. I appreciate their help but will never deal with them again. This isn’t how you run a business.

BookIt.com rental car was never booked

Never say nobody told me.
We booked our disney's trip through bookit.com. I wish I never did. There re lot of much better compnies to give the business to and get better service. We are paying for the service, we deserve better. They can go screw themselves. They were not the cheapest but, they had the package I needed and I booked before I shop other websites. The nightmare started by having my 3 and 5 year old sit in different raws
On a completely booked flight because they didn't bother telling the airlines bout the kids. Kids have a different code.
When we got to orlando, alamo did not have a car booked for us because, bookit.#.com did not confirm the booking. I called bookit.com, after being on the phone for 30 minutes on hold they hang up on me; I called again after another 30 minutes the told me the will try to get me a car. Just lying, after exctly 1 hr and 45 minutes the said the will refund the rental car money which was 162 dollrs which was part of a package deal. It cost me 512 dollars to book that car that night from alamo on a short notice and airport rates. The sad part it was 15 minutes after midnight. During my 2 hour wait 2 other families arrived to the alamo counter with same problem, bookit.com never booked their cars. Alamo on the other hand was very nice and accomodating to all of us that nighe time with a smile on their faces telling us that happens all time with bookit.com. That is their wway of making more profit by refunding a small portion of the moneyfor not booking the car. If you book with them expect to pay more in few days and stay at the airport with your kids past midnight. It was my first time and god help me it will be the last. I promised bookit.com that night I will be posting this.

BookIt.com ruined vacation

We booked our mexico vacation through this website. When we booked it was for an all inclusive hotel for a good deal. At the end of the transaction the website let us know it was malfunctioning and we had to call them. So we call and pay the price listed. When they send us the itinerary they booked us for the wrong hotel. So my boyfriend called and they said we had to pay more. Even though we paid the quoted price and they had booked us in the wrong hotel. They said they had to send it to resolutions and we would hear back in three days. I wasn't excepting that because there is a big difference between a regular hotel and an all-inclusive. So when we call back they tell us pretty much the same thing except now we have to wait 15 days and it would cost us at least 500 dollars more! The itinerary amount was also mis-quoted as us paying way more then we did. They wouldn't let us speak to resolutions and not one of their management team could help us. I have never been so frustrated — ever.

Planned a trip to Jamaica, found a resort thru bookit and was completely misled. The resort was not 24 hour all inclusive with 5 restaurants and a white sandy beach. It was in fact a buffet ( served jerk chicken, lunch and dinner ) not the gourmet food promised on the site, with restaurants open 2 days a week, one of the restaurants was BUG infested. The room was not a deluxe room but ordinary without the amenities of a working hair dryer an iron or an updated TV (10years old at least) the mini bar was only water, restricted to 2 small bottles a day. The beach was not walkable due to all the rocks (not white sand). The real problem is with bookit, whom after numerous phone call and an e-mail I am still being ignored.

BookIt.com do not use them ever

I will never use bookit again. Why I listened to someone else and tried it is beyond me. For years I have used Expedia and I will use them from now on. Bookit lied about flights booked it with flights and dates I really didnt want. Then when other family memebers went to book 10 mins later the dates and flights were available on line. Mind you I called and spoke to a representative personally. When I called to change it to the correct flight that evryone else was on and showed them it was available they said $1200 and they could change the 7 plane tickets. I went back and forth for 2 days finally spoke to customer service she was the most rude and arrogant person. I work for UPS and customer serice should never be like this. They lost my whole family as customers and whoever I come across and UPS from now on!

BookIt.com scam!! dont use book it terrable company

Sales people tell your total and what you paid for then they charged me 1600 dollers over, the travel agent told me! You will not be charged, I had to fight on the phone for 10 hours over 4 days to get it straitened out, they rob people and take their time figureing it out, no one cared, then they tried to tell me the agent never used the word refund, so after 4 more hours of stress suddenly its their falt, and ill get the money back I never autherisied back, needless to say I wrote a letter to the bbb about their missleading sales people, it was no accident they do this all the time, so in short if you want to be robbed blind then offered airline credit, and love being on hold for hours on end then this scam of a company is for you, another piece of advice when you book with book it, check to see if it says airline will assign seats this means the flight is oversold and your gonna show up at an airport and be told your not leaving. Id burn my money before id get tacken advantage of by this scam

BookIt.com change without informing

They changed our activity time from early morning to afternoon and we only found out by visiting the activity center early in the morning... With two 'sleepy' kids in tow. They could have 'emailed' the change in time at the very least and prevented us from wasting the previous night sleeping early and the entire day feeling drowsy from lack of complete sleep... During a vacation that was supposed to be a wind-down! And the activity center folks kept saying... It's your agent bookit.com that asked for this time!
