I recently purchased four caps from Boston Scally, enticed by their appealing website and brand story. I carefully followed their fitting guidelines to ensure a proper fit. However, upon receiving the caps, I was severely disappointed with the inconsistent sizing—despite ordering the same size for all four caps, only one barely fit.
Adding to the disappointment was the subpar quality and workmanship of the caps. Given that I am based in Canada, the purchase amounted to over $500 including shipping and duty. When I reached out to the company to address these concerns, their response was less than satisfactory. I was informed that there is no return process in place for international orders. While they did offer an in-store credit, it is hardly a sufficient remedy considering the cost and hassle of international shipping and duties.
Furthermore, it's worth noting that these caps are made in China, which begs the question of whether the brand has invested more in marketing and storytelling than in actual product quality and customer service.
In conclusion, I would advise against purchasing from Boston Scally, especially if you are an international customer. The high cost coupled with inadequate quality and customer service do not warrant the investment. I regret my purchase and am now faced with the cumbersome task of reselling these caps locally, as returning them would incur an additional $150 in shipping fees.
Desired outcome: Paid returns and a full refund
