On 1/8/22, I was lied to by the salesman at Braman Hyundai. The guy named *** sold me a car and told me it was exactly the same as the one I test drove on 1/5/22, just a different year. I paid a lot of cash for it, but it turns out he was lying. I feel really embarrassed and it's making me super depressed. I cry every day because of this. It's all because the salesman just wanted more money.

I've never had such bad customer service before, and I hope they can fix this.

But later that day, he messaged me saying it wasn't ready after all. He also mentioned that there was a problem with the brakes, like they weren't working. But they were working fine when the engine went kaput. Neither *** nor his boss, ***, can explain why the brakes suddenly went wonky. They don't take any responsibility for the messed up brakes. And get this, today, October 15, *** told me there's also a problem with the muffler oxygen sensor. I talked to *** about it, and he had no clue. I'm really worried about the quality of their service. It feels like someone might have messed with my car on purpose to make me come back for more repairs.

They told me it was ready on 07/02, but when I got there, I saw that the touch-up paint repairs were done poorly and the dents were still there. I immediately told the sales manager about the bad work, and they took the vehicle back to the collision center to fix it again. They contacted me on 07/08 to say that the work was done. I told the sales manager that I would pick up the vehicle on 07/09 after work. When I got there, I saw that the dents were still there, but the paint looked a bit better. However, I noticed that some areas were not covered properly, and I could see gray primer through the clear coat. I also saw new damage on a nearby panel. Now they're blaming me and asking what I want them to do. Don't they understand that I bought a used car?

They said the motor valves are broken and it will cost $845 to fix them. Additionally, I have to pay $259 for the diagnosis. The guy I spoke to said the valves came defective, but I still have to pay for them to fix it. They claim the engine is brand new. I don't have the money to pay for something they fixed incorrectly or for something that is defective. I had to rent a car because the company didn't provide me with one. The paper they gave me states that I have a 12-month warranty after they changed the engine. Now they don't want to take responsibility.

I mentioned this and the representative told me to get it done locally and they would refund me. Then he messaged me to come back to the dealership for their locksmith to make me one. So I had to wait for that when it should have been done already. Then, after reviewing my paperwork, I noticed they charged me an extra $900 for processing fees. I pointed this out to my salesman and the finance manager, who assured me I would receive a check in the mail for the difference. That check never came and every time I call the dealership, these two are always off work that day. Everyone there will lie to you. The customer service agent assured me someone would call me back from financing, but it never happened. When I got her back on the phone, she said she couldn't have anyone call me back and had no recollection of our previous conversation. It's crazy that the whole establishment will just keep lying to you to avoid dealing with the shady practices of their salesmen and financial advisors. I recommend going to a different Hyundai. I've worked with two others and this is the first time I've dealt with anything like this.
