I joined with a free account. I then got a notification to say there were unread messages (all generated by them) and that I could get 75% off a 3 month subscription for £9.99. I clicked the button, paid by paypal. I was then billed £119.99 and they also set up 30 consecutive automatic payments. There was probably some small print somewhere but 3 days in, I want to cancel as this is not the service I was expecting. There is no obvious way to do this and their communications are unaceptably slow when regarding this amoubt of money.

Notified this company via email about my intention to cancel my premium membership this has been done according to their terms or service and within 14 days of renewal. After reading these complaints I’m preparing for the worst frankly. I attached a picture of the signed and printed cancellation form an emailed to the customer service team. I sent a previous email and got no reply. I will lend a letter if the worst comes to the worst.

Tried a couple of £9.99, trials, soon realised they were fake. Next thing I'm getting messages about non payment of subscriptions. Then threatening messages about bailiffs. Finally had a debt collection company demanding payment. Have paid for now but this needs sorting.

I'm trying to cancel my premium subscription it's nearly impossible can't do online form as it says I paid £9.90 for one month didn't know it was much more after first month had it been same price I'd probably have kept membership but its far too expensive and I wish to cancel ive given requirement notice and have cancelled auto renewal

Don't ever use c-date dating app, sign up on a reduced trial, as soon as you've signed up you know it's a scam and conveniently you can't cancel your membership, having already lost your £9.90. wasn't too fussed about that but then trying to cancel the membership it says fax to a certain address or email. I emailed mid November - might aswell have not bothered, left numerous emails to cover myself and low and behold 4-5 weeks later I'm receiving final notices to pay the months subscription they automatically enrolled me on after my trial had ended, despite me emailing several times to cancel membership. I'm now being threatened with a CCJ against my name if I don't pay.

I've got screenshot evidence of all the emails, including ones last week and yet have all been ignored.

I cancelled my payment through Paypal to C-date after one month. Now they are chasing me for continued memebership payments or court action through eCollectAG for non payment of subscription which they say I signed up for. I did not sign up for continued membership and I had tried to cancel my membership online but the web site did not allow me to do that. I have now recieved a request for £239.13 by 28/12/2022 or court action. I have also reported this to "Action Fraud Police" but have had no feedback from them yet.

I've just signed up to this fraudulent company, I'm kicking myself because I normally look at reviews prior to using a site. I've already sent the emails to say cancel as I'm not able to so myself. Due to all the individuals that have seen on this app I understand that I'm not the only one. I am going to seek legal advice. I haven't used any functions of the site, I just want out.

Looked to cancel my subscription on C-date as I noticed there were no real dates on the site. All are fake/bots. Worst still, there is no way to cancel subscription an just got threatening email from them that I need to pay else they’d initiate court proceedings against me.

I wonder why they’d resort to threat when it’s obvious they are faking their membership.

I would like to terminate my membership with immediate effect.

They offered a two week trial promotion of €2 or so. That was after telling me they had to reset their system as i tried to charge and they blicked my card because of some technical difficulty, this was how i got their cust service email address. THEY CLAIM THAT SHORTLY I WILL HAVE A LINK TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE POSTED ON MY PAGE. They instead charged me almost €12 for their two week introductory offer. They are a scam!

Have emailed through 3 times requesting to cancel my subscription and close my account. Zero response from their “customer service” team in over 3 weeks.

Only way they say I can cancel is by sending a fax. No one uses fax machines anymore so it’s basically saying you cannot cancel your online subscription. Signed up middle of November and emailed a couple of days after to cancel subscription, no response. Emailed again around a week later with no response, and again today.

I was a subject of fraud, and found on my bank statements money going to this company. I have contacted my bank and instructed them to stop the direct debit.

I have also emailed C-date to cancel and explain the circumstances, but have received no reply email concerning my cancellation, The only emails I am receiving are threats to take further action to take me to court. If I don't pay the outstanding balance, which I refuse to pay as I didn't set up the subscription/Direct Debit.

They hard to cancel subscription online. Website sends you around in a loop so you can’t cancel. Impossible to cancel online. I have up trying not realising I was paying just on £40 per month. Contacted customer service twice. Got stock replies twice. Won’t refund latest payment. Not even 50%. It’s a money making web site. Although reply from customer service was quick. It’s not well designed web site.

I made a membership to try it out and a full premium and I want to cancel the membership. They have no email no phone number where to contact them nothing and they keep charging me money without my authorization which is against the law. Can you please help me out? I can give you all the details of my account. I will contact the back from my end as this cannot keep happening.

My personal details have been stollen and my card was used for a subcription on C-Date site.

Receiving all this email about it that i owe 49.99 for my subscription and a debt collectors with start if not paid.

I have emailed C-Date email address provided to explain this but received no response and my email were totally ignored and they keep sending me final reminders that i need to pay this fee.

I would like for this matter to be resolved

Signed up for this as a bit of fun with no intention of dating, looked ok to begin with, got bored too quickly with it, then money went from my account, then a month later more money tried to leave my account, this time there was no money in the account, spoke to my bank who then cancelled any further amounts from going..

Then email arrived saying debt collectors will collect monies unless I pay, account is blocked so there is no way of getting into the profile to try and delete again…no way of contacting them to cancel……do not touch this site with a barge pole, utter disgrace, full of scams, fake profiles and bots……do not touch

Refusing to cancel a subscription I did not agree to, after being a member for two days, I do t want to continue after the 1 month trial, they are asking me t to send a fax that I do not have access too, the link is not in the site to the Vance form they are telling me is there. They have asked me to send a letter! They are making it as difficult as possible to cancel. Please help me cancel my account the customer service is a disgrace

Their cancellation policy is a nightmare. It’s easier to fly to the moon than cancel your membership. Trust me, you WILL want to cancel it, because the site is utterly useless. It’s total rubbish. Search elsewhere, if you value your time.

- I had some luck there and met couple of beautiful women. I had several dates with them. They really feel like potential matches. Both women made a trip to my country. Just don’t get engaged with C-date scam! To add more fuel to the fire they act like bullies. When you stop paying them (by cancelling your bank card) they send debt collectors to you. So avoid them like plague!

Hi I went on cdate website and took a weeks subscription then I couldn't cancel it so I stopped my payments now i've got letters sent to my home address asking for money through ecollect or they will take me to court one I didn't sign up for anything 2 what give them the right to send letters to my address witch I didn't give them this company needs looking into there using bulling tactics on vulnerable people not just me locked out of cdate can't get any proof

When looking at dating sites many months ago one I looked at was c - date. I did not sign up to c - date.

Global collection services are threatening legal steps! The reason I didn’t sign up was because of my age. I am 76 on the 15 July 2023. Please resolve this matter, my daughter saw the letter today, it’s very embarrassing at my age. Thank you.
