My wife has been shopping at this particular safeway store for over 4 years now. We spend over 3000.00 dollars a year just in prescriptions from the pharmacy alone. My wifes gilrfriend (linda l) called her one day and told her that that the customer services rep/cashier (maureen pearse) said why is she always coming into the store intoxicated. She has apparently said this to other staff members as well. My wife has MS and part of this horrible disaese affects your motor function and speach. She has been slanderd by this employee and is embarassed to shop there now. We thank God that she is no longer in a wheel chair. The worse part of this is that Maureen is our neighbour and broke safeway policy about speeking about customers. When con fronted by my wife about this she said it's none of your bussiness. Maureen and her husband decieded to steal my 10 year old sons dirt bike and hide it in their shed because of this confrontation. I'm contacting the Winnipeg free press and the Winnipeg sun to have this story puplished. Its a sad day when an employee of a chain of stores can behave in this manner. Confedentiality is everyones right when it comes to their own medical issues and to be slanderd as a drunk is unexceptable. Thank you for hearing our concerns. Yours truely, Pastor John Urban

I am an employee with Safeway and I am so sorry to hear what was done to you. 😟This really surprises me on this situation and how could someone if this nature be a part of our team? I have worked for the company for 9+ yrs and can't believe this situation, Safeway best do something about this situation or I would go to corporate. I do hope your wife is doing better and remains to do better that is a TARABLE sickness. Just wanted to let you know our stores or not all like this (I hope).
