I went to Cdn Tire STone Rd location Guelph ON to purchase 2 of these chairs because it is the closest store to our home and per online, 2 units were in stock.
June 30, 2023 approx. 7pm
Also wanted to purchase June 30 due to 30X event.
Found sales person, showed him the printout of what I was looking for and he found a another service person to go look in the back.
I was wearing a black ball cap making me easy to identify when he came back from the storage area. I waited in the middle of the store where various 'feature items' are located & no high shelves thinking it would be easy to find me there.
Me & my wife waited at least 15 mins for him to return and then all of sudden he is walking by. I ask did you find the chairs. NO was the answer.
He said he tried to find me. RIGHT ! (I have some special land in Flordia for sale also !) HE SURE DIDN'T TRY VERY HARD !
TO PUT IT MILDLY, I WAS NOT PLEASE WASTING 15 MINS. TO FIND OUT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE 2 CHAIRS THAT WERE INDICATED TO BE IN STOCK.
Went to Cambrdige and had a VERY GOOD Experience.
FYI - it takes just under 10 mins more to get to the Cambrdige Store than Stone Road from where we live South of Guelph near the 401.
I have shopped at the Cambridge store many times and shop in Cambridge about 40-60% of the time.
I WILL DEFINITELY VISIT THE CDN TIRE ON STONE ROAD SIGNIFICANTLY LESS. Their loss, Cambridge's gain !
MY ISSUE: I'm Tired of wasting my time dealing with POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !
Desired outcome: I'm tired of dealing with CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE from 'Kindergarten Kids' !!! I deal with them daily and their incompetance is directly related to the POOR MANAGEMENT AND LACK OF TRAINING / DIRECTION they receive from Managers.
Canadian Tire - auto service unethical behaviour
I needed a winter tire/summer tire swap. They said I needed a wheel alignment, without presenting any evidence of tire wear or measurements. This is on a car with 10, 000 km. This is a well known attempt to take advantage of consumers who know little about tires or cars. The approach is well documented on YouTube etc. I expect better from a nation-wide company. Caveat emptor.

Canadian Tire - credit card policy
Recently I attempted to make a major purchase at Canadian Tire with my CT Credit Card (expiry was July, 2020) and was surprised that my card was declined at the cash register. I use the card for major purchases only as I favour the 12 month equal payment plan that is offered, making large purchases more affordable. When I called your finance department, I was told that my card was declined because a period of 1 year had past when I had not used the card even though the expiry was not until July, 2020. This was shocking to me as the card was issued for a four year period, in excellent standing and feel the customer should be allowed to use that card, as long as there are no arrears, any time they wish within that issued period. The justification given for the decline was very lame, citing fraud (? waiting for 1 year to worry about that). I believe the real reason is they want to push the regular use of credit and discourage responsible and independent spending by the customer. They said a letter would have been sent but no letter was received to my knowledge, or if it was, it might have been mistaken for marketing material. I now have another card, which I will only use for a major purchase but very disappointed that Canadian Tire would approve this policy.
