I had an appointment with CT Sept 14 2023 as my Jeep had little heat on passenger side, no heat ondrivers side and it was leaking fluid at front end. I received lived a call that day stating it would cost around 2000 to address all repairs noted. I was assured my jeep would be fully repaired that day. I picked it up paid cash. While driving home 4 lights came on dash not there before, no heat at all and the switch
for heat when turned on high would make a loud noise and shut off only it's own. Not doing thos prior to bringing in. I contacted CT immediately another appt made for Sept 18. I was contacted that day by Cole who stated my jeep was going to cost another 2000. I asked why was I paying again for initial reason for bringing it in after being charged 2000. He stated well do u want it done or not? I asked for a manager who contacted me. I reiterated the same thing to Paul (manager) He stated "well when a person comes in with your type of problems we ASSUME if we fix the one it addresses the other. I stated well your assumption was obviously wrong. Why was my radiator, hoses, water pump etc all replaced first visit, obviously those were not the problem or I wouldn't be here a second time. I was informed that i had great heat by Cole the mechanic the first time when I asked. Paul said well you did. I stated again but I have no heat as soon as I picked it up. He stated well maybe you did it. I said pardon me and he said "well sometimes things like this happen after the summer because your not using it than you turn it on and it breaks" I stated that is ridiculous. I had no other choice but to go forward with repairs. I picked up jeep and again no heat still making noises when heat turned on. I again contacted Canadian Tire left a message Noone called me back so I called and wrote a letter to corporate. They contacted me back discussed situation in full was offerred 400 in store credit or 350.00. This was unacceptable as repairs and parts replaced were made to my jeep that did not need to be thus overpaying and pating again for original repairs twice thst still ate not fixed.
It was after this i brought my vehicle to another mechanic for heat he flushed heater core fixed the switch on heat all for less than 300 and Canadian tire said my heater core needed to be replaced after second visit. As well my jeep continued leaking fluid so I brought it to another mechanic as it kept shutting down on me and turns out the fluid leak was not a coolant leak as Canadian Tire stated but clearly indicated a transmission leakwhich costs 2000. My Jeep is running perfect now.
Desired outcome: I would like both my first and second appointment with Canadian Tire be fully refunded as the repairs were not completed and parts were replaced for nothing
