Paul is extremely friendly and personable to deal with
Paul is extremely friendly and personable to deal with. He took time to show us all the in's and out's of the vehicle and was extremely knowledgeable. He made it super easy to assist in the buying of my son's first vehicle. I told him what I was looking for and he delivered above and beyond.
Love my new car!
Love my new car! Bought the car fully-serviced but one of the wheel bearings was defective. Paul went so far as to pay for the part out of his own pocket so I would not have to drive 3 hrs back to his shop. Quality guy. Quality service. Goes above and beyond for his customers. Would highly recommend!
I bought a *** pick up and *** from Paul. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Paul. He made us a good deal he was patient with us while we got our financing from the bank. I no alot of people that have purchased vehicles from Paul and they were happy.

Omg what a great experience with Paul! My husband and I have bought three vehicles from Mill Street and have always had a great experience. Paul aims to please with the costumer in mind and never pressure's to buy a car you don't want. Mill Street Auto will always be my first choice when looking for a safe reliable car.

We bought a car at mill st auto 7 months ago. We have had nonstop problems with it from the beginning. We've put thousands of dollars into major repairs. Its in shop more than in our driveway. We don't recommend mill st auto at all. Beware of the ads! Going there is a waste of time. Save yourself a huge headache & find your car somewhere else.. We wouldnt even give Paul 1 star if we had an option.
I had a wonderful experience purchasing a used vehicle. The process was stress free and pleasant. Paul (Owner) was very thorough and knowledgeable. He was able to find me a vehicle that suited my needs.
Avoid at all costs or it will cost you big! Bought a car from Paul and in less than 9 months I've had to replace all the brakes and brake lines, fuel pump and some fuel lines, exhaust pipes, the battery, alternator, starter and the rear hatch supports. Out of the 9 months I've had this car I've only been able to drive it for about 6 months. Very angry and will never ever buy from Paul again!
Return customer...Great, friendly, and professional service! I would buy here again. Paul was very helpful in finding me a car and was available for any questions I had about the car afterwards.
Great dealership!
Great dealership! The owner, who you get to deal with, treats you with respect and dignity, and is very trustworthy, which is why I bought my car there and will buy all my future cars there. He also prices them a lot less than all the other dealerships I looked at in Watertown and Syracuse. Best dealership in the North Country!
Thank you,Mill Street Automotive You made buying my *** easy- You did all the running around, DMV, insurance, thank you!
Paul made my purchase so easy and excellent to deal with! He is not a pushy salesman and an honest one at that! Would definitely recommend Mill Street Automotive for your automobile needs! Thanks Paul!
Not your average small used car dealer it was a great experience all around. Paul was very patient with my bank taking forever to approve my loan. I would most definitely do business with him again.
I am very happy with my purchase from Mill Street Automotive Inc! The service was beyond excellent, and the financing was simple and painless. I would highly recommend doing business here. You are really treated like family.

I had some issues with the car right away, including brakes. I called and td them, and they paid to replace the brakes for.me. It still has some issues, but the main safety issue has been rectified. It is a decent car for a fair.price. This is an honest car dealership, and I definitely would recommend them, and purchase from them again

I rated Paul A 5 star, was one of the easiest car purchases I have made. Great guy to do business with, took his time to answer any question I had. Never pushy and seems to know the cars he sells. Have taken a couple road trips since purchasing and have no issues with the vehicles. I would definitely buy from him again and refer him for a used vehicle.

I had a great experience buying a car from Mr. Smith. Everything about the sale was easy and transparent. He's a straight up guy with a great business model ( nice car for a fair price ) and I would recommend that you buy your next car from him. The cars are clean and the warranty gives peace of mind. Thank you Paul, three months out and I love the car you sold me.
What a pleasure it was buying my next car at Millstreatauromotive!
What a pleasure it was buying my next car at Millstreatauromotive! Paul answered all my questions and did not make me feel like I was bothering him which had been my experience at other dealerships. He walked me through the process and I was very comfortable knowing I was making the right choice. I would definitely recommend and will be a return customer in the future!

Replace all *(asterisks) with appropriate text in review about Mill Street Automotive:
Paul sold us a piece of junk! He sold us a car with known issues and his family that owns a car repair shop was able to put an inspection sticker on it. We have had issues every month we owned this car and have spent thousands just to keep it running! He should be put out of business. Check out his Facebook page and you will see that real reviews from REAL people show that he sells bad cars. DO NOT BUY FROM PAUL!

We shopped there because he has a nice inventory. Paul knew what we were looking for and found it. We are very happy with the car. The price was about $1000 less than the competitors. We discovered the vehicle had a rubbing sound around corners which we thought was a simple fix. By the time we discovered it was a problem that needed service, about 8-9 months had passed. When we told Paul what we found he had the service done at his cost and made it right. We are very satisfied.

I just bought a 2012 car from Paul, it is the second car I've bought from Mill Street Auto. I'd still be driving my legacy if I hadn't hit a deer. Both vehicles were very clean and in great shape. My mechanic and my son both looked over my car and thought I got an awesome deal, in fact my mechanic has the same year car as me and said he paid much more and it wasn't in nearly as good shape. I really like that Paul was available to answer questions, but didn't hover as I looked over the vehicle. All in all a great experience.

I am happy to say that the entire process of trading-in my used vehicle and purchase of a car from Mill Street Automotive was the most easy and stress-free pressure free auto transaction I have ever had. This was not my first time making a pre-owned auto purchase. However, it was the first time that the experience was completely free of the typical high pressure sales tactics of most dealers. If you have a high regard for businesses that are honest and reliable through the complete transaction Mill Street is the way to go. I will certainly buy from them again.

I have been buying used vehicles for over 40 years and working with the owner Paul Smith at Mill Street Automotive was my best experience for so many reasons. That's not to discredit many fine dealers and individuals I purchased vehicles from over the years (and a few sleazy ones along the way.) I have previously owned 3 Toyotas plus two more are in my Family, so even not being a mechanic I have some knowledge of the nuances and potential issues with Toyotas. I reside in Rochester and had been searching for my next vehicle for about 2 months after my 2003 Toyota finally “gave it up" after only 273,000 miles. (Typical of NY vehicles it was the winter salt that finally did it in; the engine was still running strong.) I was hoping to buy another Toyota with a manual transmission which limited the selection in the Rochester and Western NY region. I gradually expanded my regional search to the Southern Tier and Central NY. I came close to purchasing a few vehicles, but each time I realized that there were potentially serious issues that would likely have resulted in expensive repairs within the first few months of ownership. Local used car dealerships did not impress me as being knowledgeable about essential maintenance service and replacement parts for older Toyotas such as timing belts and water pumps. I had all but given up on my search when expanding a bit more to the Utica area, Mill Street Automotive popped up. The dealership seemed too good to be true specializing in Toyotas and it had a manual transmission Toyota that looked like a winner. I drove from Rochester and met the owner Paul Smith. Paul was friendly, very straightforward, and informative. None of that old fashioned used car dealer pressure or banter. Given Paul knew I drove from Rochester, it would not have surprised me to get a hard sell. Paul immediately had all the “right answers" before I even asked the questions about part replacement and necessary maintenance services already completed on the vehicle. I test drove the Toyota. There were a few minor issues that were concerning to me. Paul said he'd have the garage he worked with check them out. They were resolved to my satisfaction. I even negotiated to have a few parts that were perfectly good but original equipment replaced. “Negotiated" meaning a charge far less expensive than if I had the work done in Rochester. When it was time to settle on a price, I mentally prepared myself to run the gauntlet. Some shoppers enjoy that back and forth trying to get the best deal or not get cheated in the process. I do not. Another pleasant surprise was to find out there was no need to play “that game". The price advertised on the website was the fair price. Fair, as Paul mentioned for both the buyer and the dealer. As I had been pricing vehicles for two months and had come perilously close to buying a Toyota similarly equipped just a week before but not even close to the condition of this one, I knew the price was actually less expensive than all of the similar Toyotas I had been considering. The icing on the cake was the free 6 months extended warranty. I've never been a huge fan of these programs but they offer that additional security blanket against a disaster which can happen with any higher mileage vehicle. How could a buyer go wrong! A few days later I took another drive to Remson (right on Rt. 28) to pick up my “new car". How could anything go wrong? Well try having the check engine line pop on 38 miles into “ownership! Of course you know what happened next. I contacted Paul who said, “sorry sucker, it's your problem now; good luck with the warranty." Well, that wasn't exactly his response. It was a minor issue, where a part failed while a new clutch had been installed before my first test drive. It was safe to drive home and Paul who sounded legitimately sorry about my first-day experience paid to have the part replaced. If you are shopping for a higher mileage older Toyota and want to minimize the risk, and choose from an extensive inventory of fairly priced Toyotas with the no pressure, friendly assistance of Paul Smith, consider Mill Street Automotive first.
