I am a 57 year old woman who today walked from work at University and Adelaide to Canadian Tire. Upon entering I noticed the entrance seemed one way. Once I did not find the item looking for, decided to leave and was told I had to go upstairs there was only one exit and the exit goes out on the street. It is cold out today November 20 2023, I had no coat with me. If I had known when I entered the store there was no way out I would not have come in. I understand it is a theft deterrent but for those who use the underground pathway so as not to go outside it was shocking. Disgusting! At the very least a sign should be available notifying one that if they enter they cannot exit but have to use the street and walk to the mall entrance outside. This is appalling and inexcusable. Shame on you Canadian Tire.
Claimed loss: Hopefully I don't get sick walking outside without a coat.
Desired outcome: Signage perhaps? Cant believe I am suggesting this as it is a no brainer.
