This company Callready (dolphin com ltd) illegally took around £280 from my bank account, not only did they NOT provide me with the telephone number they promised they illegally debited my account, I cancelled the direct debit and have now officially taken legal steps to retrieve this money, not only have they not replied to my letters telling them they were in "breach of contract" they wouldn't respond to the courts letters.
more stern action will be forthcoming for them and their mouth piece "Alesha"
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!...

Hi, have previously been told that I can only cancel my contract on a certain day in June this year (by the dreaded Alesha) and that the cost would be £395. My bill is only £14/month so work that one out. That was over a year ago, and I missed June! I have now emailed asking exactly how I cancel (if they try to impose such unfair terms in writing I will be taking this to the ombudsman). Agree with other posters - these people are scammers and should be avoided at all costs.

This company is a rip off. It sets out a contract for an "initial period" of 12 months. It completely fails to mention in the contract that the 12 month period automatically renews itself at the end, unless 3 months written notice is given. A "decommissioning" fee is required to exit the contract BEFORE and AFTER the 12 month period. 3 Months notice is still required at end of 12 months. At no point does the contract specify that it will renew automatically. Essentially you are tied into a contract with a hefty £50 + VAT exit fee even at the end of the supposed 12 month period. Therefore there is a HIDDEN exit fee that applies even after the end of the 12 month period. The contract is exceptionally opaque and not transparent; I believe that it is clearly intended to dupe customers otherwise it would be far more explicit.

Thank you for your request to terminate your agreement with us. Our provision of services and our agreement with you is governed by our standard terms and conditions which were approved by you at the commencement of the contract.

In accordance with the terms of our agreement you are on a 12 month rolling contract which can be terminated with 3 months notice, please note that there is a decommissioning fee of £50+VAT to disconnect your account and number/s. This will need to be cleared using the below link: WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY AFTER 12 MONTH...STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY !

Stay well clear of this bunch. I was quite shocked when I contacted them last year to cancel expecting a 1 month notice to be told I had to give 12 months notice. I explained that because of my circumstances is had not used the number for several months and would not be using it again TOUGH they said I had to stick with it for another 12 months. 14 months later rang them up asking why they were still taking money from my account only to be told they had no record of me cancelling and I would have to give another 11 months notice think these people should feature on watchdog

We had one of their free phone lines for a cancer charity. All Ok till they wanted to close it, then charge after charge piled onto the account. They have T&C's which they do not show you when you take out the contract, then claim they have changed and that you agreed to the change (not that you ever have) and hence they can charge what they like. They should not be in business - please avoid them at all costs.

What a ### of a company Dolphil/callready are.
This company didn't acknowledge a request to change my direct debit details to my new bank account although this was done by phone. I've received an Invoices every month for £59.94 for missing payments. The request to change the D/D was on the 18 of July 2013 but the D/D wasn't setup by them until the 4 of September 2013. The battle continued until 29th of May 2014 when I was asked to settle the account of over £500 but as a jester of goodwill they would accept £250. I refused to and said I will fight them as far as I have to. I then checked my online banking to fined that they had now started to use the D/D (funny how they had now worked out it was there) and that £59.94 had been taken from may account on two separate occasions. After a complaint and stopping the D/D I was offered a final settlement fee of £150 (Still a lot of money when my bills are no more that £6 a month). Only on the 29th of May 2014 did dolphin disconnected the number. I still haven't had the number reconnected and we are now in July 2014 but yet I'm expected to pay for a service that I am unable to use. I did pay the Invoice to save the hastle on the due date by Bacs and they was made aware of this via email and yet I have received payment request from them and now missed payment charges. When speaking to their accounts department I'm dealing with Kaysha Grocott (sorry being talked at by Kaysha). The above complaints are being dealt by Alesha I wonder if they are the same person Alesha, Kaysha.

Why have this company been allowed to dupe and scam unsuspecting customers out of so much money? I have the exact same issue. Trying to terminate a contract which I no longer need or have used in over 8 months, after having been a customer of theirs for OVER 5 YEARS, yet I must give 3 months notice AND pay £50 + VAT to terminate?
When I requested to see a signed copy of what I'd signed up for over 5 years ago, I was sent a screenshot of just my personal details on their PC! I've had it with this company. Can anyone recommend best course of action?

Call Ready / Dolphin Com review - as is clear on this page and other websites stay clear of them, they threaten court action and just send you a monthly bill which inflates each month - even after several emails to ask for a copy of the contract and a breakdown of how they come to the figure. They would be laughed out of court. STAY CLEAR!

I used this company for an 0800 number. No mention of any exit fee on my contract but they are still demanding I pay one to leave. Again they will not send me a copy of the contract I have signed, AVOID.

This company is a big time scam .Like others there is an exit fee of £50 +VAT .Beware they would never mention in the contract clearly to rip you off at the time closing the account . Dan Mellor is the leader here expert in creating all scams .Even after 1 month notice you have to pay this VAT
The threaten you regarding the court action .Just avoid and take the advise of citizen Bereau .You can also ask them not to call again else you will report to police for threatening calls .I am succeed upto here . Can anyone advise do they really take action or can take action for their doggy contract .

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE ++++++++++

>>>Lie No. 1: The homepage header states: "NO MINIMUM CONTRACT" on callready.co.uk (Dolphin LTD)homepage. How it really works: callready.co.uk CON-tracts are at least 12months with £60 cancellation fee. You only find out when you try and cancel because they are charging you for (someone else's number).

>>>Lie No. 2: "£2.95/MONTH" on callready.co.uk (Dolphin LTD)
How it really works: *£2.49 for the first three months then £9.95 (and EVEN more) per month is hidden in tiny letters **you could easily miss it.** It's in pale grey tiny letters on their site and hard to see.

>>>Lie No. 3: YOUR NUMBER IS UNIQUE on callready.co.uk (Dolphin LTD)
How it really works: it's a 2nd hand number, resold to poor unsuspecting you. Every time you answer your phone will be from the previous company that went out of business.

>>>UNETHICAL COMPANY PRACTICE callready.co.uk (Dolphin LTD)
This companies website is set up specifically to hide IMPORTANT INFORMATION from you. You will be conned into thinking that what you see is what you get. WRONG.

95% of businesses go out of business in the first year. This company is set up to take advantage of that. It knows you will go out of business. There for it is waiting for you to do so. If you don't pay their UNETHICAL FEES, they will hunt you down and take a county court judgement against you.

They are corporate bullies of the worst kind.

"Avoid This company" lack of information on website and sign up is apparently "NO MINIMUM CONTRACT" i have been billed £3.33 there was a problem with the card payment which was not down to me the months fee went to £33.33 of which was a £30 late charge after refusing to pay the £30 late fee and deciding to cancel the contract and using another company they wanted a extra £60 so the £3.33 for the first months payment turned into £93.33 and the customer service was appalling my advice would to avoid this company and read the other horror stories out there about callready.co.uk before signing up

DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THEM! They will send you all sorts of emails and post asking you to pay, pay pay or you will be taken to court. Letters from solicitors telling you that if you don't pay you will be taken to court... DO NOT PAY THEM! The Terms and Conditions or any agreement must be visible on their website or email correspondence. They hide it and not show it. Hiding it is illegal.

My Experience with them

total Rip off. Requested cancellation, they didn't cancel, follow up with them... after 3 months they say... we can cancel your account but next month as per our agreement... than they send me a link to pay £250 pounds if I want to cancel the contract... if not paid the account will not be canceled... what is this? TOTAL RIPP OFF

I am astonished that the enforcement office and company house still allowing call credit and especially Dan Mellor run the company to continue cheat customer, please avoid it as much as you can.

When you call them they never tell you about any cancellation fee, or charges by credit card all they say the membership is 0.99 pence or 3.99 but then they jump your direct debit to over £15 plus they charge you huge cancellation fee, if you cancel your payment they willl charge you and charge you until the kill your bank account.

If you cancel the service they will send you a big invoice, and they never care about complain, nor reply to your email nor they know about the LAW. someone need to teach them and kick them out.

Soon they will be in Watch dog and will be shamed if they donot deal and refund all the people's money that they taken illegally .

Catching up with my accounts after being seriously ill for the last two years I came to the realisation in December 2019 that money being taken out of my account by Call Ready far exceeded what I had signed up for of £8.33 monthly In August 2018 to £18.95 monthly for services I have NEVER requested and NEVER used. Immediately requesting a refund I was advised by Dan Mellor he would review the matter and identify a more affordable contract; which never came to fruition. Having made a complaint's to Dan Mellor they continue to be ignored in testimony to this being a well practiced and implemented agenda to defraud customers from their hard earned cash or in my case due to my business not operating incurring me unnecessary debt.

ONE STAR GIVEN AS NO ALTERNATIVE TO PROVIDE ZERO STARS

Dear Mr Mellor,

Further to my complaint below I have not had the courtesy of a reply and in my incapacitated state I am having to endure further distress in pursuance of the funds you have effectively stolen form me.
I am reiterating my request for a full refund pertaining to the funds stolen from my account which I did not knowingly authorise and or consent to.
The service I agreed to was £6.94 + VAT totalling £8.33 monthly
However after the first 3 months I had already fallen victim too your companies well established campaign and objective of defrauding customers by implementing unnecessary increments for services that were never requested and which have never been used.

August 2018 £8.33 x 3 month = 24.99
Increase November 2018 14.27 x 4 months = 57.08
Increase March 2019 16.61 x 4 months = £66.44
Increase July 2019 18.95 x 9 months = £170.55

TOTAL £319.06

8.33 x 20 months = £166.60

319.06 - 166.60 = 152.46 REFUND

I AWAIT CONFIRMATION OF WHEN MY REFUND WILL BE FORTHCOMING & AWAIT CONFIRMATION THAT YOUR EARLIER ASSERTION OF TRANSPORTING MY NUMBER IS RETAINED.

Contract commenced in March 2018 and I have never consented to or requested any of the additional services alluded to be available neither were they ever activated. Furthermore the final increment was implemented without even providing any notification.

You have deliberately relied upon busy business people not having the time to keep to date with correspondence to effectively steal their hard earned funds.
As relayed to you previously due to being seriously ill and having major surgery my business was effectively abandoned until I became aware of the unlawful increments in December 2019 and immediately requested a refund and return to the original tariff I signed up for. Your assertion that you would identify a more affordable contract has faked to ever materialise in ratification of your ulterior and immoral motive to defraud unsuspecting customers and which confirm the level of positive ratings on your company are clearly fabricated as no business person in their right mind would consent to the ridiculous level of increments you readily implement in full knowledge you are immorally holding customers to ransom.

Call Ready are effectively and repeatedly conning hardworking people out of their hard earned cash - or rather in my case no cash at all as my business remains defunct and now in debt due to theft from my account by Callready.

Confirmation of the regulatory body for your service is also accordingly requested.

E Otoo

STILL WAITING FOR RESPONSE TO COMPLAINT AND WILL PROVIDE UPDATE.

WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING TRADING STANDARDS.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DECIPHER PRECISELY WHO THE ALLEGED SATISFIED CUSTOMERS ARE AS NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD READILY BE AGREEABLE TO PAY EXORBITANT INCREMENTS FOR UNNECESSARY SERVICES NOT REQUIRED OR FOR A DEFICIENT TELEPHONE SERVICE OVERALL.
