campus lodge staff and cleanliness of apartment buildings.
To whom it may concern, my daughter just moved into campus lodge, Columbia MO. It has been pretty awful to say the least. This is a poorly managed complex. My daughter has bugs and spiders all over her room and is having a pretty severe reaction to these spider bites. She is also having problems logging into her account and paying for rent, unfortunately, there is no one around to help her. Please let me know how this situation will be rectified. At the very least please have someone spray around these complexes to get rid of bugs. Its not a hard or expensive thing to do. I would appreciate a response in 24 hours. Please let me know if you need her exact building number.
Desired outcome: please get rid of bugs and spiders and having staff members around would probably be good thing.
This place for students to live is not very professional
This place for students to live is not very professional. When I signed up, they told me I was only signing up for half a year and that I was only paying for one room. But then, three months later, they told me I was actually signed up for a whole year and that I was paying for two rooms, one of which I don't even have a key for. I tried to talk to the landlord/manager, but they are never available unless you go to the leasing office and see them sitting at a computer doing nothing. I'm usually at work all day when the office is open and I get off work around 7 when it's closed. They're adding late fees on a pet deposit (which is only supposed to happen for rent or utilities) and charging me $5 a day. They won't accept my doctor's note for my dog being emotional support. The two student housing places I lived at before Campus Lodge accepted it with no problem. I applied for rental assistance to try to get help for past dues and June and July because, again, I only planned on staying half a year, but the landlord does not want to help me move forward with my application. I submitted the application in May, and I got an email today saying they still haven't heard back from the landlord, and it's about to be July! When I moved in, some of my things were thrown out by cleaners because the office can't keep up with who is moving in versus out, so they thought my apartment, which I just signed to move in, was supposed to be cleared out completely. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism before. My rental history is excellent, so I don't have a problem paying for the year, but when I start getting overcharged for utilities, unnecessary late fees, etc., I think that's just unacceptable. They're basically trying to take as much money from their residents, give false information upon signing, then can't act accordingly or try to help their residents when needed. It's become very draining, and I honestly haven't been there since February.
