I have a Capitol One Business card. My credit limit was cut in half for no other reason than I don't use it all. I have had a business card with a 10k credit limit with another card holder for years. A few years ago I moved to Capitol One as they offered a card with the same credit limit. I do not spend anywhere near 10K, in an average month, but I need to keep the higher credit limit in case of an emergency. My business is such that I could easily end up with an emergency bill for $8k-$10 and I need a card with that credit limit for such emergencies. This is the second time that Capitol One has cut my credit limit for no other reason than I don't spend that much. I ALWAYS pay on time and I keep the card paid in full, and my income level has not decreased. So, there is absolutely no reason to cut my credit limit. If I qualified for the 10K credit limit last month, I still qualify today. This happened once before, and I was able to simply restore it. But this time, they refuse to restore it back. I attempted to call customer service and the agent was very unhelpful. Did not offer any help or resolution and flat out refused to do anything. I need my credit limit restored and locked in place. If I don't pay my bill or there is a valid reason to drop it, then fine. But it needs to be locked in place otherwise. I do hope to never have to use the full limit, but I do need it to be available in case of emergency.
My credit limit needs to be restored and never again adjusted "because I don't use it all." I need a business card with a 10k limit in order to have it available for emergency use if needed. If Capitol One cannot provide that, I will close both cards I have with them and move to another company that will provide that.
Desired outcome: My credit limit needs to be restored and never again adjusted "because I don't use it all."
