I have been an ING, then a Capital One checking & savings account holder since 2004.
Starting in October, 2023, my online bill pay started not paying my bills! I was never notified. Never given my $$ back. I only found out when I opened my utility bills for the next month & found that more than half were never paid.
And my samsclub bill! I tried to pay it with my capital one debit card.on December 29th. I had more than enough to pay the bill. Capital one declined it, then sent me a text 30 minutes later, asking if it was me trying to pay the bill. I finally paid it 2 days ago with 130.00 worth of penalties & interest that I would not have had. I always pay my samsclub balance in full. My 661.26 is floating around somewhere, & capital one never informed me of a problem, or that any funds had been returned.
I have verified addresses of all of my creditors that I attempted to pay with bill pay. Their customer service seems to have a pat answer saying there was a system glitch during that week. ( Although in October, 2023, I was told that they had switched bill pay services, & I should be patient. Patience when all of your utilities are not getting paid is hard to come by.) For 4 months?! I've asked for a supervisor lately, who never gives me that line. The last one, Chris, said he'd return my funds, but has not.
I am in a wheelchair, disabled with ALS, & this is very hard on me.
Anyone with any suggestion, please help. I am double paying yet not getting my money back from capital one.
This unnecessary stress is bad for my health. And honestly, no one at Capital One Bank seems to care at all about my personal checking account.
I am open to any & all suggestions.
Sincerely,
Kim Halastra
