Denied care due to discrimination!
I spent an hour in the Care Now Urgent Care at the Burleson, Texas location on 1501 SW Wiltshire BLVD., Burleson, Tx 76082 and ultimately was denied care due to their own personal theology and not due to any actual policy. At this location I had to fill a form called the Urgent Care First Point of Contact form. I took this form with me when I left and have...

I receive free RediMed virtual service but decided to physically go into White Settlement CareNow to be seen with the hopes of receiving a thorough exam because I was having severe burning of the stomach but NO the doctor rushed in, asked maybe 3 questions and wrote 2 prescriptions and was GONE! NO bloodwork, NO urinalysis... NOTHING! I did not feel like a valued patient/customer at all.
A day later after using both of the prescriptions without any relief I called back up to the White Settlement CareNow and was quickly transferred to the nurse line in which I left a detailed message regarding the prescriptions not working and to date (2 days later) I have not received correspondence back. I want a refund of my copay! This place is a joke!
Claimed loss: Copay $50
Desired outcome: Return of copay

Lack of service and overcharging attempt.
I happen to show up at 10 minutes to 8:00pm and after arguing with Vanessa she finally agreed to take my info. But she then told me that she couldn't verify my blue cross blue shield so the charge to see me would be $185 when it clearly states on my ppo card that it should be $25. I then pulled up my plan online line which she wouldn't even look at and told me the best she could do was $100. She said that was the best she could do after telling me that it was corporate policy that the charge be $185. In general made me feel comfortable for needing help
Desired outcome: I would like an appoligy
Services promised not rendered
I came in to the Henderson NV Urgent Care location with very standard UTI symptoms on 2/18/23. I did the urine sample, saw the doc who told me she would prescribe antibiotics, all pretty normal. It was after I left that things went downhill. My pharmacy did not receive any antibiotics from the urgent care. After a few days of waiting (all still with terrible UTI symptoms), I started calling the urgent care every day to check what was going on. I was either told "the prescriber is not in today, call back tomorrow" or the phone just endlessly rang with nobody picking up. Eventually, over a week later with still no antibiotics or any kind of update, somebody picked up and transferred me to an entirely different location that I had never been to, and somebody there was able to look at my file and tell me what happened. Antibiotics had never been sent for me at all. My urine had been sent to Quest labs for the UTI test, but came back negative (normal, UTIs don't always pop the positive. It was a possibility the doc had mentioned but she had specifically said she would give me antibiotics anyway). So now I had paid a copay, waited hours, seen the doctor who said she would prescribe antibiotics, then got the run around for nearly 2 weeks before being told that Care Now would not be taking any further action. Did I mention I had a burning urethra this entire time and my daily life was being impacted? I asked for my copay back since they were doing exactly nothing for me, that was denied. I also have to pay Quest diagnostics for their lab tests even though the results of that had no impact on my lack of care. After that call I went to a CVS minuteclinic and within 10 minutes got the antibiotics, and what a shocker after taking those I feel better. Care Now took my money, promised me one thing then did another, then didn't even have the courtesy to let me know. Thanks for absolutely nothing, I'd like my money back.
Desired outcome: Refunded copay at the very least.

Steven Collins, Manager is whom I spoke with he is very rude and condescending in demeanor. Accusatory and disrespectful. Denied medical attention when I have been a patient at this clinic since this location has opened. The impression I got is that I’m not black so what I’m not entitled to receive medical attention. Pushed me off and gave me papers for a location more than 20 minutes away. He should not be in management of any sort. He has no manners, poor etiquette and horrible customer service. I am a fully insured customer with dual coverage and this is the treatment that I received. Shame on you Care now clinic
Desired outcome: This location requires new management. He Steven Collins should be dismissed. He does not know how to manage, speak or handle customers.
Billing charges
My name is Carmen Balea. On the morning of October 18, 2022 I needed to take my daughter to see a doctor as she was sick. I called CareNow, 1501 Hwy 287 N, Mansfield, Texas, [protected], tell:[protected] and asked what the charge is to see a doctor. I was told that it is $165.00. When I asked to see the doctor, I was told to wait for their call back to tell us exactly when the doctor is available to see my daughter. They called us just before 1 pm and said that the doctor is ready to see my daughter. We went there right away as their location is 5 minutes from our place. When we got there, we were told to wait and waited for 2 hours before we were asked to go inside the office. Inside we waited almost another hour until finally the doctor showed up. The doctor's name is Masuma Hussain. She looked at my daughter and wrote a prescription then we left. When we left, we were not told that we need to pay anything as we gave the receptionist our insurance details. In the beginning of November, we received an invoice from CareNow in the amount of $189.50. For some reason now the total charge was $380.00. The insurance paid $190.00. As we are not sure why the charges are so high compared to the amount we were told initially I called right away and requested an itemized statement. I was told that the itemized statement will be sent to us right away. In December I got another invoice. I called again and asked where the statement is as we never received any. I was told that there are so many people requesting this type of statement and it will take 2 weeks to send it. I requested to receive it by email and was told that they can do that. I've got an email which show the charges but no itemized statement. In January we've got another invoice and I called again today. Was told that this statement was requested today and it will take 90-120 days to receive it. Somehow their invoices reach our house each month but this statement doesn't. I told them that we won't pay until we don't get this statement and review it.
Desired outcome: We would like to receive this itemized statement and for CareNow to remove any overcharges on their invoice.
Not answering the phone, rudness to patients.
On 12/22/2022 my wife went to your facility at 8300 Cheyenne Ave with a cold and fever. The following day we called the facility at [protected] to speck to the NP about her condition. We called twice on 2 different phones for 1 hr and nobody picked up. I drove there and the answer I got was when they are with a customer they don't answer the phones. While standing there I called and not one phone rang but the light on the phone lit up then the girl picked up. They had no excuse for not answering the phone. This is unacceptable for a medical facility dealing with sick people in need. While I was standing there my wife called so they picked up the phone and were nasty to her. This place needs to be checked from top to bottom, it is an utter disgrace.
Desired outcome: e-mail a response [protected]@aol.com
Charging over what’s allowed
I went to urgent care on April 15, 2022 for a medical issue and they billed my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. According to my insurance they said they are not allowed to charge more than a certain amount and I cannot receive a bill from the provider because it was completely covered by my insurance however I got a bill on April 25, 2022 saying that I owe the difference and I have to pay it by May 25, 2022.
Desired outcome: I want Care now to stop billing me Especially when it’s already paid for.
COVID-19 Test
I needed a Covid test for surgery. I went to my nearest care now and was forced to wait inside with all other patients, was administered the swab test and then forced to see the doctor before the test would be submitted even though I was only needing the test for my surgery. I had to wait an hour to be released. Then the day of my surgery, I never received my results. When I did call them, they said they weren't allowed to leave a voicemail or email my test results. Since when? Walgreen's sent my test results immediately to my email so I could print them. Care now actually asked if I called them for my results.
Desired outcome: For everyone to avoid care now as they are a waste of time
couldn't help me! I had a cut!
Maybe I preferred the hospital instead of this place! I cut my right thumb and told me they couldn't stitch me up instead wrapping with gauze and bandage and wanted to send me to another hospital when you pay 1000 bucks for a visit to ER! How ridiculous is that?!, plus I have white coat hypertension now this is bad and they won't even give you anything for that! This place should close poor service and rude too! I will never go here again even it happens! Dumbfounded! :(
