Cargills food city express Kekanadura branch
This branch is closed most of the time even when the staff in inside. I don’t know they are changing the tag and bills or something. But this is very frustrating. Even when the power is down this brach is closed. Almost every generator in town has gas. But this branch is closed temporarily i took a photo on aug 1st 1.40pm and im attaching the picture with this

Unethical female security guard and male staff.
Today, 2nd july 2022 I went to the cargills foodcity Pelmadulla with my friends around 3.00 pm . My friends visited my place to make a feast. Therefore we went to food city to buy a ingredients. We got some little videos of ourselves to make a vlog of our process. We did it as we had seen so many teenagers follow that trend nowadays. We didn't see there was a small notice in the entrance which says no photos are allowed to capture inside.Then suddenly that female security guard and that staff member W.L.K Gunadasa appeared and start blaming us as we came to just photograph the supermarket and shouted us to show them our phones and delete the videos. There were many other customers. They all looked at us in a weird manner because of loud noice of that two people. Those two people were really ill mannered and made us really uncomfortable. They could've tell us all these things in good manners and as human. We are regular customers of cargills foodcity pelmadulla and I'm damn dissapointed of these two peoples behaviour. Most of the customers in pelmadulla are businessmans. Even my father is a businessman. They value their image highly. We don't really prefer to receive such bad treating when we go to buy things with our money. I have visited many other food city branches and never experienced such bad ethical issues of staff. Please consider this situation and strictly advice the lady security guard and the W.L.K Gunadasa to behave well and learn how to respect customers. As we are not there to ask for free food but to buy things from our hard earned money. Tell them to not behave as the owners of the supermarket and tell them ti behave as staff. If not you will lose many customers due to two people who don't know to behave well.
Desired outcome: Should strictly advice the lady security guard and W.L.K Gunadasa about how to speak to a customer and treat customers and should train them to behave well with customers.
Spoiled Santa Helena Merlot Wine
This morning my husband bought a bottle of Santa Helena Merlot Wine but this wine is spoiled: dark brown color, smells rotten and is very sour. I went back to the store and ask them to check. They looked for an expiry date, but obviously it's not on wine. They refused to smell or taste and refused to take it back. What about some service for a someone who is a client for 15 years or longer? I spoke with the seller, store manager and the Manager.
Desired outcome: Another bottle of wine that's not spoiled.

I am really disappointed, How your cashier"s always do not give the correct change. They hold on to anything between Rs 1 to Rs 10, u am a regular shopper, I see the change in the Till, but they hold on to some amount. Why have you trained your cashiers to hold on to the consumers money. Specially now with the cost of living and high price goods. All your outlets do this..It very disappointing. No other supermarket in the world holds on to the change , keells does not do have this practice.
I have lost quite a bit, I did not want to speak to the cashier rudely this morning, as she was doing her job, and she is practicing, what she has been thought and told to do so..

In yesterday I visited cargills horana branch an buy items and go to counter & pay bill. In cashier harshani billing slowly and get more time. I asked she to can you do this quick she is scold me. This is she normal way. And also that time there so many customers are see this attitudes & I am very worry that. She is scold me vey rudely. So pls take necessary action to this.

It’s not clean and mess up with staff. No cooperative between trainees at cashier and in charge officer.
Waiting for 20-30 min for a supervisor to come.
Pharmacist is working/ not working pharmacy job. Talking with his friends over the phone and what do you want? Not polite enough to customers.
Very very bad customer service from Dehiwela branch. Please It is with great regret that I have to inform you of a service failure I experienced with your

I came with my husband to shop In particular branch and the person called santha has made me very uncomfortable by coming around my self.He literally came behind at every point,this was flirting incident and he literally made my husband pissed..imagine if this happens for every female once who come to your branch..how he come around women like a man who doesn’t see a woman at all..if this happening to a customer ,what not will be happen in your branch…
Really disappointed by shopping..pls take an immediate action to this..tried contacting call centre but couldn’t worked out..

I billed and paid a juice and drank it inside while I was shopping. And after that I kept the can in a box that was placed inside. Then when I was billing other stuff the cashier asked me for the bill of the juice. And the cashier security and another two people called me I WAS THIEF. I already paid for it but they said me so much stuff. I bought stuff for around fifty thousand or so. But they all yelled me saying I was thief for drinking the juice inside and dropping the bottle inside. I saw no dustbins that's why I drop it on a box. The cashier was so mean. I don't wanna visit them anymore until they appologize to me in person.
Desired outcome: I want them to apologize from me. And I want them to be replaced the casier and security.

On 26th May 2022, I went to Cargills Food City to purchase some items , on entering there was no Security guard at the entrance parcel service counter , to hand over my small parcel with valuable foods stuff before proceeding to shopp. On entering the shop I saw the two security guards and called them to attend. The male guard ignored and went away from my site and the other lady Guard looked at me did not bother, but kept doing some other work. Since the lady guard ignored, I kept my parcel into a corner safe from quick pick, went near the lady security and informed her my parcel is there, no token, if you don’t know somebody might take it and vanish, to see into it. I proceeded shopping purchased my items, (I even saw the Manager as well who could have supervised it) and left taking my parcel where I kept. After walking to my vehicle 10meters from the food city an old lady around 55 years came to me and requested to check my parcel, because I had taken her small parcel instead of mine, that means someone have replaced my parcel to her parcel, I did inform that it was a mistake and demanded her to come along with me to solve the problem. The lady instead shouted and informed the public fraud, fraud to me with that as well I managed to bring her to the shop.
I told the security lady that I informed you and kept my parcel, in the corner, how come this parcel changed positions, She lied I don’t know, I said don’t con, If you see the Cargills Food City Camera you will see, then she took may parcel from the counter where parcels are kept and gave it to me.
Before I could take action on the old lady she vanished, I did tell her that I am senior Manager, I can even buy the Cargill’s shop, it’s a mistake, please come with me to solve the problem instead she shouted fraud to the public to get me assaulted, since the area peoples knows me and looking at her did not react.
This is bad, what is Food City Manager doing not supervising the Security, even knowing that the security is not at the entrance Parcel Service counter for checking, receiving and returning customer parcels, Security was busy with other things rather than her own job description. It seems the Manager also does not know his Job description,
This cost my reputation to Zero due to the Food Manager and Security duty negligence and customer uncared service action, difficult for me to bear.
I need prompt action addressed to the above complaint against the Manager and Security if possible terminate them, If this is not done, I will further go up to the Food City CEO/Director higher level for action, even go to the extent of reporting to the social media.
Please take it very very seriously.

Manager and security neglecting their duty, ended my reputation tarnished
I have already made a complain on it, but it cannot be viewed. therefore I complain knce again in brief
My complaint is that the security lady at cargills Maradana was not available at the customer parcel service desk to hand over my small parcel On seeing her elsewhere I requested her to come over to hand over my parcel but she did not come, therfore I kept it my self on the parcel desk top which ended up me taking the wrong parcel when leaving the shop instead of mine since someone had exchanged the only parcel of mine to another parcel. The Manager also was on duty as well but ignored to supervise the security lady duty to be at the customer service parcel desk at the incoming entrance.
This situation ended up breaking my reputation as if I purposely took some one else parcel..
CHECK CCTV camera for proof.
Note when I kept my parcel on the desk I went over to security lady & showed her where I kept the parcel,& to look after it.
Need action to remove Manager and kady security from the shop& pay compensation for loss of my reputation.

Bad product - spoiled curd pot
I bought a curd pot on the 14th of May 2022 from cargills food city- Wariyapola. The product name is "Sea Island". When I tried to taste it, had a bad experience. The curd pot spoiled and felt a bad smell. It has 10 days more to expire. But I am confused about what happened to it. Always we select any product even like this product from your outlets though having outside stores. Because we believe that you ensure food safety and freshness. But now I have to think twice before buying from you.

Claim for car damage
Yesterday 13.5.2022 at around 11 30 am. I went to your kaduwela, kothalawala new outlet to buy some goods. After bought the items when I try to return from your car part that new promotional flag with heavy iron bar fall down to my car bonnet and got damaged badly Same time I informed your shop manageress and she told informed head office and do needful.
I have no idea to repair this damage using my insurance because my premium going higher.. So I need to pay garage and according to their estimate it will cost Rs 22000.00. Therefore plsdo needful to do this payment from your esteemed organisation as this is completely your company fault due to insecure arrangements of flag post. Worst cashier and food city outlet ever.
My bill is not provided because of next ones rush to his bus. Then i return to take my bill then she put it to dustbin. But i thought its ok. Then i come back to home and checked goods. They ddnt pack my chicken and avacado which i already paid for. When I call to the outlet, they said there's only avacado on the cashier table. And i dont have bill to prove. Dear cargills management. Please dont allow your workers to do this. Please fire them. They destroy your name and reputation.
Desired outcome: Fire that girl from kolonnawa outlet.
Custom care
Meepe cargils custom care is zero.. have two cashier points. One is goods less than 5 items(Express). But customers who have more than 5 items are comming to express cashier point. No one there to check this and casher persons have not rejected them. And Cashier persons don't care about the queie. Cashier persons are doing their own personal works without carering customers, Customers are wasting their time... very bad
For the liquor store
The liquor store located inside enderamulla food city branch is filled with customers who are carrying bottles in and out.
This creates a certain inappropriate culture for the customers because most of them come for shopping with families and specially with children, so when people carry empty and new arrack bottles in and out frequently, this is seen by the children and it gives a negative impact.
Most of the customers who visit are fed up because the whole store feels as a liquor store because of the sheer number of customers.
It's great if the liquor store is placed behind the store as it has ample space outside.
This is in contrary for the positive image posed from the cargills food city and the ethics they maintain

Voucher scam
You engage workers who don't understand English but put all your cashier system in english!
Today i bought for more than 7000rs(!) and the cashier system said 'this customer is eligible for the voucher'. I did not see the amount as the worker directly clicked it away. When i asked for the voucher she said no, cause system didn't show that!
Don't care about the 3 or 6 ct or whatever, but how do you treat people? I am a regular customer, nearly every day I come for shopping. Last time i bought little and got a voucher for 100rs and today for big shopping you show i am an idiot to ask for voucher im am eligible for. Only thing you teach them is to put every single item for one plastic bag. No sustainability at all! Sri lanka already covered in plastic! Take your responsibility for that! You, as a big international company have definitely a responsibility for our planet!

The shop is full with workers who run around with their hands in their pockets but don't use their mind for 1 second! How do you teach and educate your workers? At least make regular trainings for them, so they have the chance to get some sense! The shop workers are the face of your company, do you really want to look like stupid and careless to your customers? You have working hours that are not acceptable and salary is a joke as well!

Not accepted a return product
I am regular customer of cargils food city in Machathoduwai, Batticaloa. I have bought 5 sanitary napkins on Friday. When we tried to use it on Sunday, we identified we have bought the non wing type. By the time I have lost the hard copy of the bill, but I went to the food city in the hope changing them into wing type. The behavior of the cashier and manager was not pleasant l. They repeatedly asked me to bring the hard copy bill. I have also requested them to search and find my soft copy of the bill in the system but they refused to do it. So I returned to the home with huge disappointment.
Desired outcome: Can you please do the necessary arrangements to change sanitary napkins to wing type?
