Carl's Body Shop is the only place I'll bring my vehicle
Carl's Body Shop is the only place I'll bring my vehicle. The work is fantastic, they're really informative and keep you in the loop when it comes to repairs.
Let me start off by saying I'm impressed
Let me start off by saying I'm impressed. I was recommended to Carl's Body Shop by a friend. They did my estimate and scheduled me in quickly for repairs. They stayed in touch throughout the whole process of my vehicle being in the shop, they even detailed it at no cost once my vehicle was finished! The office staff was amazing and answered any questions or concerns I did have. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else! Thanks so much Carl's! You guys deserve more than just 5 stars.
I really like Carl's Body Shop, Inc
I really like Carl's Body Shop, Inc. My first time there, I talked to this guy named Ben. He told me what needed to be done and why it was the best way to do it. When I asked questions, he knew what he was talking about and gave clear answers. The people in the office were nice and polite to me and the other customers. They fixed and cleaned my car on time. Ben even took a moment to check everything and make sure I was happy with their work.

Towing
On the morning of Monday, January 15, 2024, I was driving south on I-75 and was hit from behind. I myself was injured and sustained a fractured nose. I was taken to the ER and my car was towed by Carl's. On Tuesday, January 16th, I called Carl's and asked what the next step was and was told that I would have to pay for the tow. Okay, fine. We go down the...

I got a 2008 Silver Chevy Malibu, and I had an accident on March 26th. A few days later, I sent it to Carl's Body Shop. It's still there on August 4th. We've called them multiple times for updates, but they always promise to call back and never do. They don't give us clear answers, and they keep changing the completion date. On June 15th, I went there to give them my deposit so they could start working on my car, but it feels like we haven't made any progress since then.
I brought my car to Carl's Body Shop on May 27th
I brought my car to Carl's Body Shop on May 27th. On May 28th, they gave me a quote of around $550. However, on June 4th, they informed me that the bill had increased to approximately $1600 due to some unauthorized repairs. After negotiating, we settled on a price of $1067, and they assured me that my car would be ready by June 11th.
When I arrived on the 11th to pay the bill, my car was not yet ready. I called them later that day, and they informed me that it would be ready the following week. On June 16th, I called again, and they said it would be ready on Friday. However, on June 18th, when I called to check on the car, they promised to call me back but never did. I called again later that day, and they told me it would be ready on Wednesday.
Today, which is Wednesday, I called once more, and they said they would call me back. After waiting for four hours, I called again, and someone else assured me that they would call me back. It has been a month since Carl's Body Shop has had my car, and they have repeatedly lied about when it would be ready, the cost, and have neglected to return my calls or provide any honest information. All I want is to have my car back. If it is not in a running condition, I would like a refund. And if it is in worse condition than when I initially brought it to the shop, I expect them to fix it without any additional expenses.

Transmission not fixed correctly
Transmission not fixed correctly. On June 1, I went to Carl's Body Shop to have them cut off the transmission crossbar. The manager asked me what I was going to do with the transmission, and I told him to just cut the crossbar off because I was going to take it to Independent Transmission for repair. He said they could fix it, so I agreed and left my truck. About a month later, I called Carl's Body Shop to check on the progress and they told me they would call me when the truck was done. Then, on August 12, I received a call from the company telling me that my vehicle was ready for pick up. I went the same day, paid $2,935.32 for the vehicle, and came back later after work because they closed at 5:30pm and I get off at 6:30pm. I drove the truck home. The next day, August 13, while taking out my trash, I noticed a puddle of transmission fluid and took pictures. I called Carl's Body Shop the next day, August 14, and told them that the truck was leaking fluid. They told me to bring it back, but I explained that I couldn't bring it back until Monday, August 17. I took it in and they called me a few days later and said it was fixed. I brought it home again, but it was still leaking. I took it back and they called me, telling me that it was not the transmission leaking, but the steering gear box. I ordered a new steering gear box online and took it to Carl's Body Shop. After a few days, the manager called and said the truck was ready and that the steering gear box was not the problem. So when I arrived to pick up the truck, I noticed fluid leaking again. This time, while I was there, they put the truck on a hoist and put paper on the floor to see where it was leaking. It turned out to be the transmission. I also noticed that my running boards on my pickup were damaged on both sides where they hoisted up the truck. I pointed it out to the manager, but they never repaired the running boards. The first hoist was too small to pick up my truck, so they moved it to another hoist. After they found the leak, they said they would fix it, which was coming from the transmission. A week and a half later, they called and said it was fixed. I brought it home, but the transmission was still leaking. I called them the next day to ask if I could speak to the owner of the company, ***. He asked me to come down and bring my paperwork to explain the problem. I went to Carl's Body Shop, but I did not get to talk to ***. Instead, I talked to his assistant, but I don't remember her name. I told her that I had been a loyal customer since 2012 and brought all my receipts. I explained that this was the first time I had a bad experience with them. I took the truck back to them at least seven times, but they only gave me a one-year warranty. I was not able to drive the whole summer of 2020. So now, I have decided to take it to a reputable transmission place, Independent Transmission. I am going to pay out of pocket and would like to be reimbursed by Carl's Body Shop for the service they did not provide on the transmission.
