Carson's Management

Carson Pirie Scott, in The Streets of Woodfield, in Schaumburg Illinois is the worst place to work for. Employees are treated with disrespect, and managers on duty and HR manager have problems with power over employee. If an employee complains, the managers don't listen and come back with false accusations, putting anxiety on the employee, just to protect themselves. It is demeaning and harrassing. Many of the employees there are never heard by the upper management if there is a problem they are experiencing. The store is completely understaffed, causing customer complaints to the ones that are working there, customers roam around looking for someone to check them out on an average day. If sudden deadline for a project is given, some of the MOD's will tell them they will get written up if it's not completed in a timeframe that is impossible. Employees get written up for everything, aren't allowed to be human beings, are constantly being monitered about their whereabouts, even when they are doing their job, are belittled, and treated unfairly on a continuous basis. The store manager stays out of everything, only bothers everyone with instant credits, and there is no humane, compassion, in their management. Very poor management skills...these managers need to go to school on "How to treat their employees with Dignity and Respect. Employees are getting in squabbles, complaining about management, and complaining about each other. The good, hard working, caring employees are bullied by a few managers on duty that are on power trips. The place is terrible. Don't work there, and don't shop there.

I tried to buy a ring on their website but it kept saying there an error processing my credit card and to resubmit the information after I corrected the information. This went on for 6 tries and afterwards I have found out that they put a hold on my checking account for each time. I have treid for 24 hours now to get the customer service reps to send a letter to my bank telling them that there are no orders to go with the charges and the monies can be returned to my account. But the CSRs in Manilla, Phillipine dont understand what I need done and now they tell me I have to wait until Monday to talk to someone in their treasury area. I WILL NOT RECCOMMEND CARSONS.COM TO ANYONE. THEY HAVE PUT US THROUGH HELL HOLDING FREEZING OUR MONEY FOR THEIR WEBSITES ERROR!

Every word of this above is true. It has become a slave factory and the only thing anyone cares about in management is opening credit cards. I don't blame the department managers. This is one of those nasty corporations we hear about. What would be worse? Perhaps the super chain that starts with a W. I'm shocked when I overhear middle aged people with degrees and accomplishments behind them confess they are earning minimum wage. I don't say a thing. I just feel badly.

I worked for Carson's for 3 years in Orland Park, That is the worse Company to work for (Bon-Ton), Inc. It is like a Asian Slave Factory in America! They have very unprofessional Managers. They ONLY thing they care about are not the customers or the employees. " GET THOSE INSTANT CREDITS!" CONSTANT HARRESSMENT FROM MANAGEMENT"! I have seen employees trying to each their lunch, and the managers are on them for not getting an INSTANT CREDIT. We get a $1.00 for an instant credit. What does Carson's get? Thousands of dollars! I make sure I spread the word around about this store.
People think Carson's is so GREAT! Go an work for them!

When I workded at Carson's all the employees say is " I HATE THIS PLACE" Very TOXIC environment!

A gift card was purchased on March 8. Stores new about closings. Went to local Carson's and cards were not accepted. The company collected the money for the card but I cannot use it. Really a RIP OFF. I feel bad for the elderly woman who went out of her way to purchase.
