I am not writing about a complaint, but more of an entreaty. I had a sunroom Built by Champion in 2007. My warranty expired 2 years ago. This summer while having a new deck build adjoining the sunroom, the builders discovered that the soffit extending from the sunroom floor had wood rot. They recommended I get someone to examine the interior flooring of the sunroom.
I placed a service ticket on the Champion website and received a call from a representative informing me that my warranty was expired- which I already knew- but that they could send someone out to examine the room. I paid the $199.00 service fee and a technician came out, examined the room and told me there was rotting of the deck flooring and he would place a service ticket, and that someone would call me with pricing, etc. I received a postcard in the mail a few days later, informing me that my request is being processed.
This was June 28th and since then, I can get no further information. I've made several calls to the number given [protected] on the card- with little success at getting information. The last time I spoke with a representative at the call center, she placed me on hold to speak with someone in the service department. She then relayed the message, "when we get more information, we will let you know". That was July 22nd. I called September 11th and left a VM message, and no one has returned my call.
I do realize and respect that your workers are busy and stretched thin during warm weather months. Therefore, I am waiting (I think patiently), to find out:
1) the cost of such a project;
2) whether or Champion can/ is willing perform the scope of work and if so, when?
3) If not, can you recommend a company who can perform the work?
That's all I request.
Thank you so much for your time,
