I ordered Champion Windows Nov. 06 finally installed Feb. 07 with many problems. It's June 07 and still need a window replaced that doesn't fit right. It has been months for the replacement. They do not check for rotting wood under sills. They are a complete joke. If you want JUNK buy these windows. Take it from me, Andersen Renewel are the only way to go. The manager won't call me back.

People beware!

Champion did a great job with getting back to me. They refunded all of my money immediately without issue. It was great Customer Service they provided. Thanks to Dustin and John for your quick response. So sorry, I didn't post earlier. I forgot I had posted this on comaplaintsboard.com. THANKS again for a quick resolution!

I'm sorry but you said STEPPED IN WHAT?

We all know that your just a NEWBIE or in Texas they would just call you just a grunt.
Really, Your just Champion insider and your directives are to come onto this site try to discredit anyway possible and your doing your JOB. That is nothing new for the Champion as it is a typical corporate tactic and to be expected from them. Champion sales are really on a downward spiraling and they are getting disparate and we all know happens when people get disarate. The whole Champion sales secrets becoming transparent for the public to see now so the game is up Champion. i heard the company was for sale? It is plan and simple to see what your mission is here within TEX.
I noticed, You never answered my questions about what you call value? is thatbecuase BIG BROTHER is WATCHING? Hey, Is it true that only two things come from Texas? We all know your not a steer...

Oh Mask, you are ever so clever and devastating with your verbal repartee; touche Sir! The way you worked in that whole "There's only two things come from Texas..." line was especially original; it was more original when I first heard it back in the 1980's, but hey, what's old is new.

You'll be relieved to know that I did a little research into what you've written about Champion, and I found that you are right; I cannot believe the fraud they're trying to perpetrate on the American people. Thank you for bringing this to light. If it helps you on your mission to bring Champion to its knees, I discovered a couple of other items:
1.) If you take the name "Champion Windows, " and eliminate the C, h, a, m, p, i, o, i, n, d, w, s; you're left with n, W, o...which everyone knows is an acronym for "New World Order." Yes, Champion Windows is an advocate of, if not the leader of the 'New World Order.'

2.) When Lee Harvey Oswald took position to fire at then President Kennedy from the book depository building, he positioned himself in front of a window. However, it wasn't just any window...it was a Champion Window! Yes, Champion Windows deliberately produced a window that made it easy for Lee Harvey Oswald to open, and take a shot at our President. Not only did Champion aid Oswald, but Dennis Manes...the current CEO for Champion, was seen on the grassy knoll at the time of the assassination. Yes, everyone, it looks as though Champion Windows has direct responsibility for killing Kennedy.

3.) Just over 50 days ago, Donald R. Jones- COO and President of Champion Windows was seen in his yacht...the one he earned from grossly profiting on window and sunroom sales...in the Gulf of Mexico. It is believed that Donald may have set an explosive device on the BP rig, and is responsible for the unabated flow of oil now pouring into the Gulf.

I think all readers of this board should stop and send a special note of thanks to Mask for his tireless, and unappreciated efforts to help rid the world of the evil known as "Champion Windows."

Hey your that queer guy that said he was in training in Texas. We all knew you was just a liar as I hear there are a lot of you lite in loafer types that is running the halls over at Champions home office in Cini these days... You might be that corporate trainer.

Your true colors shined though on this web site long ago didn't they JOB, A very satisfied customer, TEX, or fancy paints or whoever else you want post under this site today... Your one in the same at Champion and disparate companies resort to really disparate action such as directing you to do there dirty work for them. So you can just go back to your JOB (Just over broke) at Champion and quit monitoring this web site as the good people of Texas would say, F-off and DIE...

Stay tuned as ANYONE OF THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM CHAMPION needs to know what RIP-OFF this organization really is. Take it from an ex-insider that is telling the public the true tales of what went on under the Vail at Champion. Looks for my future posting that is coming soon as I will reveal the Champion book soon for all to see the incredible book prices.

Oh, Tell ole Denny to hang in there until he they unload the whole damn thing so he can go into retirement then as I hear Champion is for sale again. They are trying to get some more funding to stay alive but it has been leveraged until the company is completely tapped out today. So sorry good bye,

Mask

Mask,

I never met someone so easy to rile up. It's been fun, but it's just not proving to be a challenge at all.

The reality (for the benefit of any other readers to this thread) is that I only interviewed with them here in Texas, and did accompany one of their reps on a sales call. I stand by what I saw, and what I've read: professional group, good-value product, low-pressure sales presentation, everything on the up-and-up.

You've thrown a lot of personal names out here Mask; I have to admit it is a bit tempting to throw back, but I actually feel more sorry for you than I do angry with you. I'm trying to imagine the level of anger that one has to have...whether a disgruntled customer or a disgruntled employee...to literally waste as much time as you have on this thread. Seriously, go back and read what you've spewed out over this thread: apparently I'm a queer, the manager in Pittsburgh has his ethnicity impugned, the board is monitored by corporate? Trust me, Champion Windows is not taking the time to dedicate the time and resources to stifle you; they have better things to do. You're really being unbalanced in your reactions toward others; I'd suggest a long vacation, or some counseling.

I'm sorry I'll miss what I'm gathering will be your latest installement of 'Evil Champion' or 'Tex the queer.' Like I wrote earlier, it's fun to rile you, but it's not a challenge. You're an 'E-mail Tough Guy'...which means you're not tough, you're not that clever, you really don't have much going in your life. I also have to think that since you go right to the 'queer thing' that this may be a case of 'the really angry queer pot, calling the Texas kettle black.' Not that I'm judging you on that if you are; however, since I'm gathering you may be one of those 'self-hating homosexuals, ' that you join some sort of support group for your kind.

Take care.

Howdy TEX, You step in what again? BS you didn't say "trusted you" did you? You can't handle the truth if it smacked in the face. Statements like that means your being truthful and we have called you on that before... You said you had thick shin, tough guy so what happen? Like any good politician your just trying to deflect my previous questions about the particulars of how Champion operates and puts the screws to its customers. It a Champion kind of thing? You can attempt to try to make me look in-different if you choose too do that and yes, I did threw up some some smoke in mirrors as I believe you to be someone other the you say are. We can't trust anyone at Champion as they have showed there colors. So what was your whole trite about president Kennedy and the grassy noel as you went way out there with that one? Mr. Fancy Paints you need to get back answering the original questions above and quit beating around bushes as it clear what your doing here and what your purpose are. You don't know my motives about using the queer or steer thing either. I knew that would get under your skin and other at Champion as I do know them. Alright, I am sorry if I offended all those "pole smokers" at Champion Corporate Offices but all done in fun... Mask

I like to resubmit and repost the comment in regards of comments made here on this site, we take care of warranty issues within the parameters of our warranty, there will be no problems, also for additional help with additional projects no problem.

I also noted some of the debates here, that's good stuff, that guy mask ... great comments some little distorted some are correct, personally I've been to Arizona once to visit a friend, i know nothing about the rest of the assumptions, I came over from Italy not on a boat but on a plane to New York first. I take offense to that I 've been an American Citizen for over 20 years.

As far has this guy saying that my Corporate office directed me to place comments here, forget about it.

Anyway business is great looking to help more consumers out, we'll continue providing the highest caliber of customer service.

Thank you

Well. I think it's obvious that this board is not regulated in any way, shape, or form. Therefore it is totally useless for the purpose it was intended. How can a consumer become educated when sales reps for other companies, and disgruntled employees are allowed to fire countless accusations without any fear of reprecussion? The original complaint was obviously posted by one of Andersens Sales Reps. Mask is obviously an ex employee who was fired for a reason. Had there been no reason he would be consulting a lawyer, not dribbling sour grapes here. If you are a consumer and have found yourself here, please refer to a true consumer reporting agency for assistance.
Champion Window Manufacturing Has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Where complaints are checked for validity and sometimes arbitrated for the consumer at no cost to them. Visit your local BBB website for the facts.

There are a number of companies calling themselves Champion Window. ChampionWindows.com, out of Syosset NY, is a commercial window manufacturer only and they do not install windows. Be more specific in your complaint as accusations tend to defame the reputation of a good company.

I agree with every complaint about champion windows I have read tonight.

I called brandon the division manager in memphis tn today and he threaten me that if I cancel my order that he will put a lien against my house,

4 days after they took the mesuremnets. that champion is not going to lose a sale after I signed to buy the windows under no circumstance.

and that if I can't pay for the windows because I ask them to put them on hold for 2 or 3 months to see where the econmony is going to go with gas prices going up and that I may lose my parttime job and would not be able to pay for the windows,

that I could not pay for an attorney.

Brandon has to be the most rude customer service person I have ever heard of and sure not a christian. He even called back after I hung up on him an hour later. harassment, rude, and threats is what champion stands for.

I would not reccommend anyone to buy champion windows. to treat a single woman like they treated me today 3.1.2011,

I had a salesman come to my house last night in Northeast Tennessee. He was very thorough and answered all my questions about their products. His demonstration proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that their product is far superior to anything else I've had priced, Pella included.
I may not end up going with them, but your experience with that salesman leads me to believe they won't be employed with Champion for very long. Champion prides itself on their customer's experiences!

We had a patio awning & railing installed. Champion also set up to have the cement slab poured. We got shorted a 1x8ft section of cement, the measuring person couldn't read apparently. So our entire installation is off by 1ft. Instead of our outside faucet & electrical outlet being enclosed in the railing, it splits it. We also received mismatched railing, the front has scrolls-the side doesn't. We probably could've gotten better work from Joe's Patios. We have contacted the BBB, Justin Hennessey(Manager at Dayton OH store said he'd contact us to try and work out something. I don't think I'll hold my breath. DO NOT USE CHAMPION WINDOW.

Shadow you want to bi*ch about unregulated of this site how about you Champion guys getting on here blowing your smoke and mirrors. That is what keeps me going here.

The BBB only serves the hands that feeds them and that is not the consumer's best interist. Champion hides behind the BBB instead of taking care of its customers and that is why you want to refer to them all the time. All of the Champion stores pays top dollars for just a little plack on the wall and that sticker on the door and they do it for a real reason. It is not to protect the consumers best interests, it is to protect Champions best interest. The BBB will take you down of road of a mountain of red tape and paper work when the consumer would be much better off to hire an attorney then to go though the BBB bias rig-a-ma-row.

To correct Shadows deny and deflect posting here within this site. Mask was not fired while working for Champion. I just moved onto another origination that has much higher morels. Champion just doen't understand that they are in a consurmer business and how to take care of there customers so the fell that they get what they pay for. Consumer's should just beware and not to do business at Champion.

Mask,
This is crazy. I just left a Champion office today to inquire about replacing the windows in a home I just bought in Louisville, KY. I saw the heat lamp and UV test thing they do and seemed impressed. I'm scheduled for a site visit and estimate next Saturday, but now I am worried. A couple of questions.

1. So is Champion's 360 glass not exclusive to them only and if it isn't, what other manufactures have the same technology?
2. What manufactures or companies would you recommend in my area?

Lol. Champion is owned by GDI, a billion dollar company. They actually do now make their own glass, along with MI windows and several other. Btw Anderson and Pella both buy their glass lol. I'm not a fan of champions frame myself, but it's good enough for most climates.. somebody is just has way 2 much time on their hands.. lol

That Glass is available within most windows of today. It is built by the Cardinal Glass Company and its there LoE366 glass product. I would refer you to Cardinal Glass Company web site for more information about glass properties for your region of the USA. Champion doesn't build any of its glass regardless of what they want to call it by. The only thing that is exclusive about the Champion Comfort 36? glass is the name that they call it by... The only part of the window that Champion does build is its own insulated vinyl window frames.

Yes the LoE3 glass coatings of today do offer a whole lot lower window "solar heat gains" glass properties and that is very impressive under a heat lamp demo that you seen.

Champions whole sales game is to do a super great sales presentation to which they are highly trained to do so. The hook comes when the the Salemans gets done with there product sales presentation and they reach for there way over inflated priced book price. Wow $1, 240.00 for there smallest standard size double hung vinyl replacement window are you kidding me? Any educated window consumer can get that very same like window product at around a $350.00 - $450.00 price point and that includes the installation. Oh yeah the Champion salesperson might offer you there "Buy it right now" 50% discounts but the SALES GAMES should be over at point and you should kick them right out of your home for disrespecting you and waisting your time. Did you know that Champion average COST to build there smallest size double hung window is only $99.00 each. That is the very same window that is in there high price book for $1240.00? Go figure! Do your own research before purchasing anything at Champion and you will agree that it cost way to much to do business the Champion way.

There are much better window products then just the vinyl Champion offer you out on the open window market today. Newer window frames made of materials such as any type of cladded window frame and newer standards such as the "R5 " windows are now becoming more available if that is what you needing for your own window application. Hey, If you going to purchase at the Champion window pricing levels then why not own the very latest in window technology of today?
Good luck!

I small a Champion Rat, Scotrina your just another Champion employee. Champion windows are not SUPERIOR to most other window manufactures within the industry today. Superior is just a buzz word that Champion teaches there sale people to use during there sale presentations so you must be one of them. Pella sure sells a ton more windows then Champion ever though about selling and there must be a good reason why. Good luck with those old used Cadillac sales tactics Champion.

I'll agree the Champion window sales pitch is worse than a used car salesman. I had a Pella guy out, he knew I didn't have time to waste as I had other things to do that day, and I knew the basics of windows and how convention works. Nice enough guy gave me the quick basics, waited for him to print out a price estimate and he was on his way. He actually told me some things that probably compromised getting a higher commission. Ex. He said he wouldn't bother getting the triple pane glass and Pella's higher line of vinyl windows, because the minimal amount more of energy it would save would be essentially meaningless in a 100-year old house with poorly insulated walls.

The Champion guy... I kept checking my watch as if he'd get the hint I'm sick of him being here. He went on his presentation for over 2.5 hours. He did the heat lamp demonstration and the frozen window demonstration (which of course they test the temperature of the other side of the window just seconds after spraying it with frost so he was like look just 1 degree colder on the other side, course after he wasn't looking I tested the temperature a couple minutes later and the temperature had continued to drop several more degrees).

The worse part was he tried to make small talk and had he listened he would have known I'm well educated with several degrees and a post grad degree and know science well. Yet he still treated me as if I had no idea about how it works.

Then at the end he gives me this high marked up price, and says I think we'll have a 20% sale this week so I'll take 20% off. Not amused he said well the accountant at work is behind in her work so she's still entering September's sales from last weekend when we had a 25% off sale and 5% more off if you measured your own windows; so he takes a total of 30% off saying if I order this weekend (now in October) they'll put it in as a September order to get that 30% off. That attempt to get me to buy that day by saying it was necessarily to essentially "doctor/cook" the books seemed pretty shady to me. Even worse now I keep getting phone calls from this guy at least once a week.

We contracted and assigned ChampionWindows to construct our sunroom. They quoted a very highprice and the salesman bulldozed us into signing up a sales order on his first visit assuring us that they would complete some finer details that we wanted taken care of- all at a much higher price compared to competition. They have a very rude, arrogant, disorganized method of construction and resort to arguments whenever asked to do things correctly and on time. They provide empty assurances at many stages and started refusing to do construction in the proper manner and to customer's satisfaction. This may serve as a Buyer Beware notification and Alert for doing business with them

Had the salesman/manager come to the house Sep 2011 and ordered windows and he continued to talk about a 3 season room. We told him the windows were a must but the room would have to wait. He gave us a great deal so we also went with the room. We have had no problems with the window install or the windows but the manager was transfered out of state and the new manager came in and problems started. The room was suppose to be in by Christmas but was not finished until the end of Feb early March 2012. The manager did not like the way the contract was written and suddenly the crew would come for an hour and leave for another job. Called the manager and was told the old manager left too much business. That was a first a manager complaining about too much business. The crew would start at the office and end at the office so when they came late that meant they started at a different site. A letter to the CEO really did not good but get a secretary to call and advise they would call back. I called them. If you want a 3 seasons room do not go to Champion. I understand the worest manager went towards the rockies. Their windows went in fine and on time and I have had no problems since but that was the old manager handling that. I will never recommend them to anyone.

One of the features when I purchased my home was the new Champion windows. several years later I started noticing problems with the windows. They started showing streaking lines. I called Champion and the rep came out about a month later and looked at all the windows. He was under the impression that I was the original purchaser of the windows. He was nice and polite and stated that I had 14 pieces of bad glass out of 24 pieces. A large failure percentage. I asked if the rest were domed for do the same thing. He stated yes. About a week later I received a letter with a $2000.00 + price to fix the issue. With that percentage of failure you would think that Champion would be worried about their reputation. No they just want the money an to screw over the customers. I will never buy their windows and would recommend that those looking to buy a house with Champion windows installed deduct the cost of new windows from another manufacturer from the offering price.

We bought our house windows, front door, two storm doors, and patio room. Our front door has never been right. They have can out numerous times to fix and still is not fixed and our front storm door is not fixed right, still needs work to this day of September 11, 2015. The store in Martinez, Ga 30907 is closed and I call and they said they are with Columbia, SC. I talked to a man today and he wanted to charge me $99.00 to fix my front storm door and front door and the screen on our back storm door had pulled away again. I told the man who called I would write the home office. The service man was just here a few months ago and why should I have to pay $99.00 for a job that we have problems from the beginning? The man was a new employee when he came to our house to tell us about Champion Windows and he wrote up our order WRONG - So we didn't get what we wanted from the very start. Now we are still having problems with our purchase. Robert and Margaret Wehn - wehn7878@yahoo.com

I should have known bettter than to hire them to replace my windows afcter the salesaman who came to oour house barely knew how to write a an estimate sheet...so sloppy we could barely read itl The Manager simply said, we get that complaint about him often! I think they do it on purpose tro confuse people and to over price their product. They are a rip off. They damaged my wood window frames, they ripped out my wired in alarm system wire and they were instructed about them and the saleman told us they would be able to set the new windows in plavce with the alarm wires intact. Lie. they did not do it. We had to have our alarm company come out and install wireless system instead of the hard wired system we had. champion said they would pay for the rpair...LIE AGAIN. In fact supposedly the manager who told us that has now left the company we reebubmitted the $300 bill to Champion and of coiurse, no response. I CAN'T SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH...STAY AWAR FROM CHAMPION. The windows are nice, so far anyway (but after reading some of the posts I'm leary of them) I aM GOING TO CONTACT THE bbb AND ASK THEM TO DOWN GRADE THEIR STATUS...THEY ARE NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO DEAL WITH AT ALL.

My complaint is with the seattle area champion window company. I will also post my complaints on yelo...Angies list and witht eh bbb. This company should be run oiut of business. Their product is great, so far, but their customer service is awful. Without good customer service and accountability for damage the installers do, champion will not be in business in ten yearts or less. People will learn...Shop around more everyone. I would tell anyone that is looking for windows not to listen trust or buy anything from Champion Windows. BE CAREFUL on anything you sign. The sales person I had lied about the promotions. He told me the one year interest free would start on the day it was installed. I received a bill and DO NOT have my windows. I called the Campbells Run store talked with sales, he informed me I could cancel that would cost 1, 800. He also told me they have the windows BUT! They failed to call. I feel once they get your money that's it...That's all they care about. After reading all these BAD reviews I'm sorry that I ordered. I'm telling everyone DO NOT BUY CHAMPION WINDOWS !

This is about Pittsburgh Champion Window. Atrocious customer service.

Salesperson-- who talked me into a contract in spite of his used car salesmen-like techniques ('Manager is letting me offer this discount since my recent sales have been so high; this deal is only good today')-- enrolled me in the incorrect high-interest financing plan rather than the 0 interest plan he'd described. He also told me I wouldn't need to pay anything until after installation. After receiving an invoice for payment of interest, I called the financing company to find out I was in the wrong plan and I did owe before installation. It took a week for Champion reps to take steps to get me on the plan initially described to me during the sale, not to mention my making more than 10 phone calls and wasting several hours of my time to correct Champion's mistake.

Salesperson and window measurer, on two separate visits, verbally told me the windows would be ready to install in as soon as 3 weeks, despite an estimate of 6-8 weeks on the contract. I called after 4 weeks to inquire as to when my windows would be installed and was told they weren't ready yet, and they referenced the dates in the contract. I never received a comprehensible response as to why I was provided a verbal installation estimate from two separate employees which greatly differed from the contract. I was fine with the contract terms, so why get my hopes up and assure me it'll be any sooner?

Salesperson called at one point and asked how I like my new windows. Clearly he'd not even looked at my file to see the status of my project. When I mentioned this to the office manager and called it evident miscommunication between areas of their office, she took offense and rudely shut me down. She insisted I was wrong and there wasn't any miscommunication but the salesman just should've looked at my file. This is when I'm starting to feel contract regret.

The branch supervisor I eventually spoke with claimed he couldn't say anything about the verbal timeframe provided by his employees because he 'wasn't there.' I suggested he confirm with the two individuals who gave me the earlier dates, since he was implying he didn't believe me, but both were 'out of the office.' He also hadn't looked at any documentation about my project, including an email I'd sent to the office manager two hours before which explicitly stated my complaints and in which I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said I signed for the high interest plan, implying that was my fault- the only plan identification on any paperwork was four digits. Random numbers should've somehow meant something to me? He did apologize, but only after I said that no one had apologized yet. He was ingenuine, repeatedly saying he was sorry that I felt that way. He was wholly opposed to providing even a small discount for my wasted time due to their mistakes.

I'm old fashioned in that I actually put great value in words, so I resent anyone making claims they never intend to keep. I'm going to pay $500 to end my contract to be rid of this company without replacing my windows, though I'll be clear that I'm not so financially comfortable that it's easy to throw away money. If you're considering Champion for ANY service, look at online reviews which aren't on their site. My aggravations are minor compared to many others, which range from shoddy installation to causing yet refusing to accept responsibility for significant property damage to warranty service horror stories, further motivating my contract cancellation.

Anyone on here with the positive comments- why don't you tell us all about your projects and how long it took between contact signing and completion? Convince us you're not a Champion shill...

We bought a home some months after new Champion Windows had been installed. Champion transferred the warranty because they had only recently been installed. Plus one for Champion. When we realized that we were unable to clean the windows properly because the smudges and dirt were on the inside of the sealed panels, between the panes of glass in the new double pane windows, we complained. Plus two for Champion. They replaced the defective panels. When we addressed the sliding glass door - different story. They wouldn't consider replacement at that time. Now much later, a serviceman has been out to look at the panels and take pictures. He determined immediately that the panels were defective from the factory. There are smears smudges, and prints clearly evident, but the company says too much time has elapsed now and they cannot honor the warranty - even though they were the ones that called for the delay. The Portland Oregon local manager has stated that the best they will do is offer a discount.

The Dallas Forth Worth office definitely should be close. I never worked with people that are so full of themselves making false promises and messing up customer orders besides lying to customer something that I do not appreciate it.
We place an order back in August and we were under the impression that they really knew what they were doing but nothing is done.
So far October 23 and not news after so many ridiculous promises from the Manager that he is not able to answers or return any calls.
I still don't understand such an unprofessional employees specially at the management level.
We don't know what would be the final price, we don't know when we are getting our window, we do not know who to contact. That is a mess.

get a life Mask.. How disgruntled can one failed ex Factory Representative be? I think if you would have spent half as much time learning basic closing skills, you would not have to waste the remainder of your life posting your little expose's. How about some research on the automobile industry, you seem to want to convince everyone that your way is the only way. Grow up...
