There needs to be a lot more price transparency on the site
There needs to be a lot more price transparency on the site. Alluding to cheaper fares when youre going to turn around and charge the same amount as booking through the airline is misleading. When I asked if this could be remedied at all, I was told this is just how it is and to avoid merchant fee. *** blew up my phone and e-mail multiple times a day as my bank had an issuing thinking this was a fraudulent charge- I was beginning to think that to. Seems like my tickets are in order now but I still feel scammed and will not be recommending this service to anyone. I will go out of my way to tell my friends and family to avoid Cheap Best Fares at all costs.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
This is a third party scam travel operator
This is a third party scam travel operator. I purchased two round trip tickets from NY to Paris before the covid lockdown. My flights were canceled by the airline and the airline assured me that they would be refunding the purchase to the third party company. BestCheapFares assured me in June that I would be refunded my purchase within 60-90 days. Needless to say, this never happened. I tried calling numerous times after my initial request for refund and there was no answer at the customer service number. I was given no choice but to dispute the charge with Citi. CheapBestFares are shady operators and I would advise anyone who is considering business with them to think twice. They are scam artists.
FRAUD!FRAUD! Do not trust the 4 star rating through Trust Pilot. I was debating about buying straight from the airline or Cheapbestfares. Saving about $80 a ticket I decided to take a chance and book through CBF. BIG MISTAKE! I got a confirmation email with my booking. My Delta account also added the fight to my account. The next morning flights went up double. I was relieved that I had booked my tickets before the price increase. A few hours later I got a message from CBF saying that my reservation as on hold to call asap. I called and was on hold for over an hour when I had to end the call without talking to anyone. When I did get a hold of a person the next day they said there was no more seats available that I needed upgrade my seat for triple the price. I then contacted Delta in which they said this was untrue. They were just waiting for CBF to confirm on their end and they could issue the ticket. CBF would not acknowledge what Delta told me. They finally said the prices went up and they would no longer honor the pricing they gave me. The only way to keep this reservation is upgrade my seat. I could not pay the upgraded price so they canceled my booking and I was not able purchase tickets since the price increased well beyond my budget. If you decide to book through this company plan on paying double the price the next day. They are not to be trusted!
If I could give 0 starts I would. I had the same experience as *** I booked my tickets and printed out my receipt which showed me the Delta Confirmation #. I looked on Delta and was able to pick my seats and everything. Then CBF calls me and says that the ticket price went up due to no more basic seats left and that I had to pay to upgrade to Main cabin. They wanted me to pay over double their listing price for the tickets. The original receipt from them showed the actual Main cabin prices for the ticket, their discount amount and the price I pay. I spoke with the manager and they were not willing to honor their price even though the listed airfare price on their receipt was the same price as the Delta website. They just kept saying the discount is no longer available. How in the heck is your discount not available when that's the price you quoted. If it was on the customer side, they would make us pay extra fees for "price guarantee". This company is a rip off and I do not recommend anyone using this place.
They will try to give you a cheap flight and then tell you there are no seat available and then try to DOUBLE YOUR COST. I hung up with them and booked on Priceline for $300 LESS then what they eventually in the end wanted to charge me. Went from $304 to $700. I paid on Price line $405. DO NOT TRUST CHEAPBESTFARES
Book a Delta airline ticket on 4/25/2022 afternoon. Transaction appeared going thru no problem, before I received an email urges me to call them back.Called them back next morning and an Indian-accent person told me the ticket was sold out but he could help me to get another one if I want to upgrade it.I start feeling this guy was not honest and trying to trap me. After about 10 minutes talking, I became this web site is trapping people to book a ticket with fairly-low class ticket then get you to upgrade to a high class. If they do not succeed, the ticket will be cancelled so they have nothing to lose.My experience is exactly the same as a lot of other people telling here.People, be care of this cheapbestfares.com. I got searching routed from fly-scanner.com, which I believe is also a web site trying to trap people.
NEVER use cheapbestfares.com
NEVER use cheapbestfares.com. If we could give them negative stars we would. We booked through them for travel that was canceled due to COVID. Their e-ticket confirmation stated "no airline or travel agency charges you for involuntary change or cancellations," and they advised us to work with airline directly to get a refund. United refunded our tickets -- to cheapbestfares.com -- who refuses to refund us, even after months of calls and promises to do so. So effectively, cheapbestfares.com took our money twice: once for the initial ticket purchase, and again for the refund. Maddening -- and Capital One says they cannot and will not help us. WIsh we had vetted cheapbestfares.com more thoroughly and NEVER again.
0 stars. Beware bait and switch. booked a trip for price listed and all the sudden got a call sayingvthe fare gad changed. all within minutes.
Ok, so here was the experience with these folks at cheapbestfares.com: I've got a very good price $$ directly on their website, the reservation was immediately put on hold until the credit card is validated. Meanwhile, I call the number to confirm and ask for additional savings (ATTACHED LURED), the customer service representative says" yes Sir, your flight is now $$$$... "WTF, I said, explain to me Sir, how you went from my initial price quoted online and checked already with the airline just doubled in price for just calling you? I thought this call was for you to give me additional discounts? That flight is being cancelled, he responded, and that is the best price I can give you..." ...Liar 1) the flight was not cancelled because I checked with the airline, 2)you, not the airline cancelled that price I was quoted online and this is how you lured your prospects to your spider-web. Unacceptable. 3) I respect salesmanship, but that was a misrepresentation, you are a commission employee and that is how you make your commissions, you dirty rabbit ...PD: for what I see from other complaints hereby, this is a pattern that responds to behaviour not new to them.
My father in law passed away. I was checking for last minute flights. I booked one for $335.00 trip to *** for my husband. The next day I booked one for $389.00 for myself. At this time my husbands said confirmed, mine showed processing. I got a call from this company stating that delta wouldnt give that price but I could get a flight for almost $800.00. I told them no and was told if I go thru delta it would be $900.00. I canceled. Then my husband got the same call and he canceled. I ended up paying $1300.00 for both flights. I would not ever use this company again. They advertise rates and then contact you to pay more
TERRIBLE DO NOT USE My sister-in-law booked tickets through this third-party vendor at a discounted rate for our upcoming wedding. The ticketing agency did not follow through and book the tickets. She was not notified. I called the third-party agency who blamed Delta and claimed they had notified my sister-in-law which they did not. Further review on ComplaintsBoard.com website shows that this company does the same exact thing all the time. I asked to speak to the supervisors manager and was told that it was against their company policy. She tried to rebook the flight at an increased cost of $600. I told her that it was unfair as no communication was ever received from them other than the confirmation. She advised me that confirmation does not mean confirmation. She told me to contact Delta directly.I spoke with a very kind representative at Delta whose name was Autumn but she could not help. I asked to speak with a supervisor just to see if they would be able to honor the price (current price was now double price from 2 days ago). Supervisor came on was quite rude from the get-go - laughing at me when I asked if there was anything they could do. I asked to speak to her supervisor because I did not like her tone or the way she was speaking to me. She refused told me "there is no one here who will speak with you. And you can call back tomorrow but I will add a note to your file that we will not be helping." Terrible customer service - I understand that the issue was on the third-party side but then Delta should not send out CONFIRMATION emails. If the flight is not confirmed, then don't say it is. And if your supervisors are that rude maybe it is time for some re-training so that they have a better understanding of compassion and empathy. Delta is a large company and I don't think standing by the discounted price FROM 2 DAYS AGO would have caused them significant financial burden, but the double price will certainly be a financial burden on my sister in law. Do better Delta.

I purchased four round-trip plane tickets amounting to $2,462.75, through a travel agency in January , for a trip from the United States to Europe, scheduled for April 1. The flights were cancelled due to the global health crisis. I requested a refund but was told by the agency that the tickets were not refundable but they would honor our tickets through December . The agency said I had no choice but to agree to this. However, flights were still not going into Europe in November and December so I again requested a refund. I learned that the airline's office had issued a statement that flights cancelled or significantly delayed were due a full refund from the airline.
I contacted the airline directly, as the agency said they could only refund the money if the airline returned the payment for the fares. The airline responded that a refund check for $1,654.64 was issued to the purchasing agency, not the travel agency but another company, on December 15.
I contacted the travel agency to inquire about the refund check. Bella, an employee, confirmed receipt of the refund from the airline but said the tickets were actually purchased by a partner of theirs, '24/7 Booking Agents.' Bella confirmed that they wired the refund to '24/7 Booking Agents' on December 30. When I called '24/7 Booking Agents,' using the phone number found on their website, I reached an agent who said that the phone number I called was actually to another agency, 'Travelcation.' He said he didn't know anything about '24/7 Booking Agents.'
Between January to the present I contacted the travel agency many times (by my own count, 15 times) to let them know a refund check for the four flights had been authorized and sent by the airline. The agency's agents continued to put me off, pass my calls to other agents, or neglected to return my calls. On May 3 a man who identified himself as a supervisor with the agency, called to say he would help me resolve this within two weeks. He has never followed up or returned my calls. Now when I call his voice mail says simply that he is unavailable.
An agent at the travel agency said that the airline and 24/7 Booking Experts are located in a different country so apparently they are out of reach of ComplaintsBoard.com review or followup. I write this review now to let others know of this agency's lack of transparency, integrity, and responsiveness. I only give it a one-star rating because the program doesn't allow for a 0-star rating.
SCAM... DO NOT USE THEM. I booked three tickets to visit my grandchild over Thanksgiving and found a great rate on this site. I booked the tickets, and 24 hours later they called me to say, 'Sorry, that fare is not available anymore.' They wanted more money per ticket. When I went back to their website, they still advertised the same discount prices. This is a scam. Someone needs to stop them.
SCAM! DO NOT USE THEM! I book 5 tickets to *** I find a great rate on this site and booked the tickets. After payment and confirmation I went on the airline app that the flight was with and entered the confirmation number they gave me and it pulled up our tickets and let me select seats so I felt reassured that cheap best fares was legit..NOPE.24 hours later they call me and said sorry that fares is not available anymore. They wanted DOUBLE more a ticket. I told them that I already saw it on my airline carriers app and even picked seats and they said no we didnt charge your card yet and the price is now this,,,,(double the original price) I went back to cheap best fare website and they had the same discount prices. I told the person on the phone this and he said sorry but prices have changed. Obviously I canceled my flight! SCAM! SOMEONE NEED TO STOP THEM.
SCAM!

If I could give ZERO STARS I would!
If I could give ZERO STARS I would! This COMPANY is a complete FRAUD...BEWARE! I booked flights on 7/8 and received a booking confirmation email soon after. This company ended up canceling my flights and NEVER sent me any information notifying me of this cancellation. As such, I was forced to purchase the last ticket at the airport for this trip as I was completely unaware that I did not have any tickets. This ended up costing me $1,300, a cost which I have yet to recover and is very significant to me. Furthermore, I discussed this with their support team over the phone and was flat out lied to...Not Good. They notified me that they did send me an email saying that my flights were canceled and to check my spam/junk folder. Of course, I checked those folders and that email was never sent. I asked them to forward me another copy of the email that was sent and they told me that they would but never did!

Absolutely a bait&switch scam company
Absolutely a bait&switch scam company. I booked a flight and the next morning I had an email saying I needed to contact them immediately. I called and the guy told me that the price of the flight had increased because American Airlines was no longer honoring a "discount". I questioned this more but the guy would never give me a straight answer. He told me he had found a similar flight but it was now $800 more expensive for the 4 tickets. I kept telling him that I would have to check competing prices and the other passengers but he kept trying to pressure me into paying and booking the new flight right away without reviewing anything. I eventually got him to send me the summary of the flights and when I was going through it I noticed the price quoted was ANOTHER $500 more than what he told me on the phone. I gave American Airlines a call and they knew nothing about not honoring a discount and told me that the price had not increased on that specific flight I was booking and I could book it immediately for cheaper. After receiving 2 more "urgent" emails in the following 3 hours, I called them again. This time they claimed that it wasn't AA not honoring a discount, but that they only update their prices every 24 hours so we were shown an old price on the website (I checked 24 hours after I purchased the tickets and they were the exact same price so this was an obvious lie). When I questioned them it was the typical deny deny deny until I told them I had already alerted my bank and anything they tried to charge me wouldn't go through, then they hung up. Just save your time, this scam of a company deserves to fail.
Out of frustration and exhaustion I am submitting a review due to not being able to submit a compliant
Out of frustration and exhaustion I am submitting a review due to not being able to submit a compliant. I would like to file a compliant due to a my interaction with Best Cheap Fares out of Chicago. I grew tired of contacting this company by phone after speaking numerous times, now too many to count front line workers time after time after I purchased airline flights to Europe in Jan of 2020 and the flights were scheduled for May. At that time I requested a refund and e-signed an e-document to get my refund. With the understanding I would receive the refund in 60-90 days. So May , June, July, August, September and now October. NO Refund. I did speak with several employees that nicely instructed me to wait another 14 days some times I was told to wait 21 days and this wait time changed with each employee. The wait times and call backs became ridiculous for any business of any kind. Luckily they have a refund Dept. but you cannot contact that dept. directly and if you do, you will be told a different wait time and you will be asked to wait 2-3 hours or 6-7 hours from the time you called for a call back to be told to wait more. Each call ultimately will end in no actual progress toward a refund. Again out of frustration I contacted the Airline and was told they are and have issued refunds but since I purchased the flight thru Cheap Best Fares and their consolidator. Meanwhile I continue to pay the interest on a credit card for flights I purchased, did not receive. I don't know when does it become unlawful to continue to withhold a refund? When should I seek legal action? My fear is the company may go bankrupt before I can get a refund. The process with this company has become a nightmare. I have made it clear to every person I know and every person I know on social media to not under any circumstance have any dealings with this company.

Do it trust this business
Do it trust this business. On sunday oct 6th i was searching the web for airline tickets. I came across this site and it had a fare price of $207 each one way ticket from Orlando to nyc. I had a question so before I booked I called and the gentlemen answered my question. On their websites it says if you call we have even cheaper prices. It says undisclosed prices call us now. So I mention it to the gentlemen, he tells me to hold and then he says ok i can offer you $10 cheaper therefore a $40 discount since its 4 of us. Ok great i tell him. So he gets all our names and credit card information. Sale goes through. About an hour later i received a call from them telling me that my flight may not be confirmed and offer me a different flight that they can assure me off?. I said unless you can give me a flight for the same time. I can't change it. He said ok i have no other flight besides the earlier one. At this point I check airlines with the flight info i have and see that my flight is pending which is ok because it normally takes a few days to clear. The money was immediately taken from my account btw. The next day I have a missed call from them that its urgent i call back re my reservation. I checked the airline and to my surprise my flight was canceled. I called them back and am informed that my flight was cancelled they informed me that yes it was cancelled because the airline could not confirm my flight. So because of this the coupon discount is void and if i still need the flight I would have to pay an additional $240 more. I explained to them that never have i heard of such a thing. Furthermore as i was on the phone with them i pulled up the site and to my surprise they still had the same flight with the original price that i would have paid had i not called. I asked the gentlemen to explain why he wanted to charge me more money when they are still advertising the same fare price online. He immediately started to stutter and had no explanation other than something was wrong and the online price is inaccurate. So they convinced me to only pay $100 more and this time they would guarantee me the same seats as i originally wanted. So i agreed and the next morning I had received an eticket which was great, until I went on to the airline provider and seen that there was missing information that said unless it is fixed we could not board. So apparently we were booked on a "hacker" flight. Those flights are created with the intention on not making the 2nd flight. Yes they are legitimate as long as both partys are aware and agree to the terms. In my case I had no knowledge of this flight they had created for me. So the missing information was passport information which I didn't have because my flight was domestic not international. These idiots decided this for me and again had no explanation as to why I wasn't informed. On my email they sent which I signed ONLY had the flight which I agreed to. Not until I looked up the flight on the airline was i informed of this and that the missing information if not filled out would void my flight. Even two days later the same price i originally saw was still available. From other reviews on here the ComplaintsBoard.com it appears this is a game they play and unfortunately they are robbing people who don't question it. Also to my surprise on the airline itinerary it says i paid $580 for my flight. I paid almost $1000 so yes they are robbing people of there hard earned money are liars and very very dishonest. I am currently waiting for my refund. Which I also noticed my bank about. Furthermore the very rude gentleman told me again to pay a little more and they can again assure me everything would be resolved. Or i can pay the airline more money, which I responded to him by telling him i would much rather spend more money and having a piece of mind elsewhere. He slammed the phone and hung up. Please do not use them, again from the reviews this is a game they play. Some one should really look into this company and shut them down.

I booked a flight to Zagreb from NY for $733.09 with 1 Baggage Allowance for myself
I booked a flight to Zagreb from NY for $733.09 with 1 Baggage Allowance for myself. I have the confirmation to prove it. A few hours later I booked a similar flight for my father at the same price. Therefore, this fare was advertised for hours after my first booking. I did not realize they emailed me minutes after my first booking to call them. I called later in the day and was informed that the price was no longer available. After reaching a supervisor I was told they could give me the price of $733.09 without baggage because my original booking could not have included 1 Baggage Allowance. I refused to accept the Bait and Switch tactic. I told him I had proof of this and he asked me to email it. I emailed it and nothing. How are they allowed to keep operating like this.

I booked airline tickets for me and my family today and canceled within minutes due to restrictions on the tickets. I have been told by the agent that I'm going to be charged a $50 fee per person, totaling $200 for the cancellation. I checked with the Department of Transportation and was informed that airlines must allow travelers to hold a reservation at the quoted fare for 24 hours without payment, or permit a purchased reservation to be canceled within 24 hours without penalty and with a full refund to the original form of payment. When I informed the agent of this policy, he threatened me by stating that they impose no travel restrictions on airlines if I don't pay. Upon checking my credit card account, I noticed that there is a $200 charge from this travel agency. I need to get this charge stopped or refunded.
On March I booked a flight through CBF, which was later cancelled by Swiss Air due to Covid 19. CBF issued a credit in the amount $876.35 (the cost I paid) for future flight with Swiss Air. In February I used this credit to book a flight with Swiss Air in June . I paid additional $712.45 to CBF since the price of the flight increased. Total of $1588.80. Two weeks prior to my flight I have looked up my flight info and noticed my flight was canceled. I called Swiss Air directly and they confirmed the cancellation and stated that CBF will receive a refund and to retrieve it from them. CBF never notified my of this cancellation. When I called the customer service they were trying to sell me a new airline ticket for my travel dates for $2989 from which they would subtract my already paid $1588.80 which would result in an additional charge of $1400 to me. I have refused this offer and purchased the same flight through an airline for $1600. *** told me at that time ...
I purchased plane tickets for a trip for $319.30. My card was charged for this amount. I called the card company and they confirmed that the amount was deducted from my card as soon as I confirmed the purchase online. Now, CheapBestFares has canceled my tickets, claiming that my card was declined. I just want my tickets, or my money back! And to stop being lied to when it was obviously some type of glitch or error on their end!

I purchased airfare for travel in May from Chicago to Athens, Greece, which was obviously cancelled due to Covid restrictions. I've contacted the agency two dozen times for a refund and they've repeatedly told me it's coming. My airfare was purchased in the amount of $715.49. They ensured me and promised a dozen times that I would be receiving my refund, and I have yet to do so. I made a travel purchase of two airline tickets through this third party vendor. These tickets were for a flight which was canceled due to the covid shutdown back in June. The business refused to refund my purchase of $870 and misrepresented the situation when presented with a dispute by my credit card company.
February 14, I purchased four round-trip airline tickets from Santa Ana, CA to Lihue, Kauai for March 21. I paid $3103.64 to Cheapbestfares.com for these tickets. In March, when lockdowns due to COVID-19 were starting, we heard that Hawaii was going to close off tourist travel but had not yet done so. Due to fear of the pandemic and the possibility that we could not return after a week's vacation, we cancelled our flights. Although we had purchased our tickets as non-refundable, Cheapbestfares told us we would have the amount paid in travel credit to use at a later time.
Since Monday of this week, I have been trying to work with Cheapbestfares to use part of the credit for two tickets from Santa Ana, CA to Boston, MA in August. United Airlines offers the flight for approximately $1700 for two round-trip tickets. Cheapbestfares is willing to book the flight for me but requires the entire amount of travel credit originally paid for four tickets to Kauai - $3103.64.

I called Cheap Best Fares to book a flight to Italy on 2/22. The company booked my flight, but due to Covid-19, the connecting flight from Amsterdam to Italy was cancelled. I contacted Cheap Best Fares to re-book a trip within the United States, and the company stated I could only get half of my refund back. I decided to cancel that flight after I was informed by a third party that the price I was charged through Cheap Best Fares was higher than a regular ticket. The representative from Cheap Best Fares cancelled my flight and advised me that as of 3/15, I had one year to use my credit. I contacted the company on 3/2 to book a flight with my credit and spoke with an agent named Mylo and a supervisor who stated his name was Adia S, but did not provide an agent ID. I was first advised by Mylo that my flight credit expired on 2/22, even though the previous representative advised me that my credit expired on 3/15. Mylo then advised me that I had a credit of $327 to be applied to this current ticket.
I booked 3 round trip flight tickets from Detroit, MI to Orlando, FL through Cheapbestfares for March 27th. My flight was canceled by the airline. I requested a refund instead of booking an alternate flight. My refund has been repeatedly delayed. While Cheapbestfares claimed this is because they haven't received the money back from the airline, the airline shows they returned the funds to Cheapbestfares some time ago. Since Cheapbestfares has not resolved this, I am seeking help regarding this matter. My flight confirmation code was provided when I paid $1,377.77 for three tickets on a flight. Please let me know if any additional information is needed. Thank you.

I bought four roundtrip airline tickets for a family reunion in January , costing $2,462.75.
I bought four roundtrip airline tickets for a family reunion in January , costing $2,462.75. The flights were set for April 1, but got canceled due to a global health crisis. Cheapbestfares refused a refund. The flights were rescheduled and then canceled again. A refund was requested and granted by the airline, which sent a refund check to the ticketing agent. However, Cheapbestfares, despite acknowledging the airline's approval, has not returned the money. I've documented all communications with Cheapbestfares and the involved ticketing agencies. The Cheapbestfares supervisor, after multiple promises, is now unresponsive.

We booked tickets through cheap best fares, by accident, when thinking we were booking through delta airlines. We purchased the tickets, then got am email right after saying we needed to call them. We called and they said the tickets were no longer available at that price, and we needed to pay more to secure our tickets. We were supposed to fly put March 26th, then covid hit, and we were put on lock down. I called the company and asked for a refund, which they said they could not do. We could still fly. After arguing with them for quite a while, they said they could postpone our trip, because we did buy travel insurance. I called last week to try to reschedule our trip, cheap best fares said they could not find our information in their system and gave me the number for delta airlines to call. Delta airlines was able to pull up our tickets, which cheapbestfares had down graded to one way tickets at $326, a piece, when we paid $569, per ticket for round trip tickets. Plus baggage, and insurance. Now I can't get cheap best fares to answer my questions, via email or phone. I have been teaching out every day for a week!
I have purchased airline tickets through this company on 2/9. Due to covid situation, flights have been canceled and company asked me if I wanted partial refund of the ticket or voucher. I asked for partial refund and received confirmation on 7/9 that I will be getting refund within 90-120 days. I waited even over this 120 days, but since refund was not forthcoming I started calling company for refund in December. I have called numerous times (more than 10 times), and I have sent many emails to their support email and still did not receive refund, now additional 3 months over their maximum estimated time. I have been promised back on 12/15 that I will get refund within 15 business day and that did not happen. They did not provide any direct phone number for refund department, so I can reach only their customer service department. Customer service department gives me different answer every time I call, they tell me they cannot transfer me to refund department, that I should send emails to support (which they do not answer), and that all they can do is to organize a call back from refund department -- which never happens; I did not receive callback from refund department at all. Problem is that I did not get my refund and it looks like they do not have any intentions of refunding me.

I purchased two round trip tickets to ***
I purchased two round trip tickets to ***. COVID shutdowns caused cancelation of the flight. I thought I had rebooked the tickets using a $1200 credit for September only to find they never issued the e-tickets. I was told the credit remained. I have contacted this group and spoke to no less than 8 different agents all of whom promised to resolve the issue and book me on a flight to *** with the credit due to me. It has been one week I each new phone call I am given someone's "personal" line and promise to rebook my flight with COVID credit...to never actually happen. I have no flight to *** for myself, or my daughter and this group has seemingly pocketed my $1200 in airfare. Now when I call every number of every agent, my calls are unanswered. I have signed documents of this credit that is supposed to be granted for travel through January 2022.On 9/16 I signed new confirmation for November flight and have not received tickets but told they are working on it.

I asked for a refund of the $327 as I did not want to do business with CheapBestFares any longer and was advised that it could not be refunded. I asked for the Supervisor who stated that he did see the notes from 3/15 however, because there is a penalty to change from an international to domestic flight of exactly half of my initial $800 ticket, which was not stated when I spoke with the first representative on 3/15. I requested for my partial refund back and was told by the Supervisor that it could not be refunded and that it was flight credit. I have confirmed with *** that no flight credit exists. CheapBestFares basically stole $800 from me without providing any type of service. This company is a scam and should be put out of business.

Since August I've been calling customer service and was informed that the refund was still processing. I have called Swiss Air directly and was told they refunded CBF on 5/17 but they could not tell me the details of how much. On October 6th I started to make daily phone calls to customer service about my refund only to be told it's still processing and I'll receive a call back anywhere from *** hrs, depending on the particular agent I spoke with that day. I've never received a call back. On October 16th I was finally told they could issue a refund of $683 to me. This amount is unacceptable to me since I have not received any service from a this company and the flight was cancelled by the airline, not me. I've continued to call customer service and on October 18th was finally able to speak with supervisor and tell him the details of my case (as stated above). He assured me a call back withing 48hr which never happened.

Classic bait and switch! Same thing happened to me. Booked a cheap rate on their website, then got an email and phone call an hour later saying Delta had overbooked the flight (a flight that is 2 months away, come on, really?!?) and I'd have to upgrade to main cabin. This company is committing fraud. Avoid!
Another story unfolded when a $1000 ticket was no longer available in the class of service that had been booked. Following a price increase of $370, the ticket was finally confirmed. However, upon making the payment, it became apparent that the ticket did not cover baggage fees or offer flexibility. After numerous phone calls, the conclusion was clear: I had no favorable options left. It is strongly advised not to use this service. You are much better off purchasing directly from the airline.
When reviewing Cheapbestfares, pay close attention to comments highlighting verified purchases. There are only two verified customers, and their feedback is a resounding 0 stars, indicating a potential scam. I experienced this firsthand when I booked a flight for my daughter, who was set to travel abroad to help teach children about triathlons. Within minutes of my booking, I received multiple calls and upon returning one, I was informed that the price quoted would nearly double. I immediately alerted my credit card company to the suspicious activity and also informed Delta Airlines of the fraudulent use of their name.
The trip was still in the planning stages when I received a confirmation from the agency with the number 3HFNWR and another from Delta Airlines. Despite the formal tone of gratitude expressed by Cheapbestfares for trusting them with my travel arrangements, the experience was far from satisfactory.
The flight details were as follows: a departure scheduled for 06:15 on July 31st, followed by a return flight on the evening of August 5th. Both flights were booked in economy class without any checked baggage. The seat details and flight numbers were provided, along with a payment record showing a charge of $676.63 on May 21st, 2022.
My advice to potential customers is to be cautious and consider running in the opposite direction. Additionally, I suggest editing your connections to Trustpilot for easier access and to ensure a more seamless experience in sharing reviews.
