I have had Choice Home Warranty since 2019 and have spent couple thousands on my premiums. In April of 2024, was my first and only claim made for a plumbing leak which flooded my bedroom & bathroom. I paid on my own, a water mitigation company to clean up the mess. Contacted Choice Home Warranty and they sent a technician of their own choosing and I was required to pay the technician $60 as a deductible. The technician took photos and told me they would send it right away with a report and told me this sure looks like a valid claim. After a few weeks, got an email that it is denied. I called and said why is it denied and read him my contract under the plumbing coverage and he could not respond and said they'll send another person/company for a 2nd opinion. After waiting for couple weeks, I called and emailed numerous times and no response. I even stated on my 3rd email, that I may elect to seek legal proceedings and/or BBB. In researching their complaints and reviews, they have so many bad reviews, I'm just another victim. The only email I ever received since, is soon my warranty period will be expiring and take advantage now with a Home warranty savings ... HaHaHa!
Desired outcome: 1) A customer since 2019 and first & only claim.2) Have the decency to reply to phone calls and emails.3) At the very least, refund my premiums paid.
