I have an auto loan through this company. Recently the car was involved in a Collison claim in September of 2024. My car insurance did a payout for us to get it fixed. The check was mailed to myself with my name, my father(cosigner) and the loan company. We signed and endorsed it. Mailed it to them back in October 2024. Claim was started with them for the car to be fixed at a body shop and they would pay the shop with a check once finished from that check. All of the insurance stuff was sent to them. The check was for over $17k. After the car being fixed then the remainder of the money would go towards the loan. Car was finished/fixed 3 weeks ago. We have sent in all the information requested from the body shop. We sent the invoice, W9, Tax forms, all the information, all damaged details. The invoice is for about $4k. They keep saying "it is in process." The body shop is waiting for their payment so they can release the car so I can pick it up. They need to be paid for their work. We call multiple times a day requesting to talk to someone higher, but we get transferred all around or randomly disconnected. This has been going on for about 6 months now. The body shop needs to be paid, and I need my vehicle. Representatives on the phone are clueless and it's a run around process. We aren't getting anywhere.
Claimed loss: 5+ months of no car.
Desired outcome: For the body shop to be paid for what they fixed. For myself to have my car back.
