I bought a 2018 Dodge ram truck financed by Chrysler Capital. I've never been late with the payment and I was over paid every month. I found out several months later that I'm getting late charges and that a payment that was sent from my bank on February 12, not endorsed by Chrysler Capital until February 28, and this delay is Chrysler Capital‘s fault, the money was deducted from my account and was never applied as a payment. I have late charges, my credit is ruined, I've been dealing for over a month with the so-called executive office for escalating this issue, and nothing has been done and the last two times I've spoken with somebody in that office they have refused to help me anymore. Someone took my money in that company. That person is not being held accountable. Chrysler capital has caused me immense emotional stress because I'm running a business and ranches run on a slim profit margin. This spring I need to purchase seeds, etc. and these things are done on credit and now my interest rate is too high for me to purchase these items to run my ranch. You will run me into bankruptcy by continuing with this baloney. My money needs to be credited to my account, all late fees need to be returned to me, all back interest that is accruing also needs to return to me, and my good credit which is always been over 800 needs to be restored! I don't understand how this company is allowed to get away with stealing money from customers even though evidence of their wrongdoing was clear and sent from my bank to Chrysler Capital showing the exact dates that the check was sent, the check was endorsed, and the money was taken out of my personal banking account. Who do I reach out to to have this resolved now?

Customer service
Chrysler Capital is a bank that stays strict with their policy. Customer care is non existent when it comes to their policies. If their policies states you are over the past due date even when you worked out payment plans with them about how to pay them. Your account will still be filed according to their policies for repossession. So what I am saying do not waste your time explaining your current situation with this bank they do not care for customer service and care. You can have a near life and death situation, fighting court cases, behind on corporations not paying you back on time, at the verge of going homeless because of all the above to them to put it plainly you can have the best reasons why you cannot pay particular that month but the next and still be reposed. Like it is not bad enough already. This bank really showed their [censored] on asking me why I cannot make the payments all with good reasons with plan in mind on how they are going to get paid like how I told them they were going to get paid, if you don't got the money now I was sure to let them know when the money was going to be in their account. Do not tell this people any of your business they do not need to know and it will not make a difference you are a number to them and that is it. At the end of it all they are going to get paid everything like how i told them i was going to pay them, but they went and decided to mess up my paperwork anyway. you cannot reason with this bank, they are going to get paid with your best interest not in mind, with you needing your vehicle to pay these banks back even if it meant your death to do so is what this bank treats you like.

ACCOUNT#21777066Upon inspection prior to returning our 2018 Jeep compass, they noted tire tread low on (2) front tires. So, we went to Ricks tire in Shelby Twp. Mi. and replaced the tires with that same exact tires. I am a car guy so I know what I am doing. I Clearly understand they MUST BE the exact tires. THEY WERE.
First Chrysler capitol claimed they not changed, then they claimed they were the wrong ones, the said "well, there was rim damage" [censored].
I HAD ALREADY SENT YOU a copy of the invoice from Ricks tire.
I [censored]ING PISSED OFF! I make a LOT of money but it requires my hands. Having to stop what i am doing to deal with [censored] it outrageous.

in December 2020, Chrysler Capital had taken money out of my account when the vehicle was paid off. they have failed to reimburse me 4 months later after multiple attempts.
They said a check was cut and sent to a dealership and told me to contact them for their error for reimbursement. this has been theft out of my account and they still have failed to reimburse and now its March 2021. I requested managerial assistance and they still have not resolved the issue. I have talked to multiple people at their office and they keep passing me around. if reimbursement has not been paid a lawsuit will be filed for theft/not approved transaction.

On January 13th, 2021 I reached out to Chrysler Capital on 3 occasions to get them to release the lien to my son's SUV that was paid off a month after purchasing in 5/2019.
1st time: 1/13/21 after Ins co. told us they were the lien holder and I got no help bc they couldn't find any info in system
2nd time: 1/14/21 still no help until I requested a mgr who then told me that the matter would be cleared up in 24-48hrs with DMV
3rd time: 1/21/21 I couldn't get anyone to tell me the request was done and transferred twice and then disconnected
4th time: 1/22/21... I reached back out today and was transferred three times to be disconnected and not helped on them releasing the lien on a vehicle they can't find in their system.
My son was in an accident a month ago and the insurance co. can't release the money because Chrysler Capital is showing as the lien holder. I spoke with the DMV and they told me to contact Chrysler Capital and ask them to release the lien and then they could give me the title. Please help me get the title to the vehicle they can't find in their system! I've asked for managers/supervisors within the company and no one seems to be able to help me... That makes for poor customer service. I'm also going to reach out to the BBB.

I finally teceived a title in the mail after trying for 3 months. I was told numerous times it was sent. I finally asked if I needed to have an attorney contact them for the lien release or title. Received it within 3 days

Unaware reposession
I was in A Auto Accident September 05, 2020. A lady Ran a stop Sign and crashed my vehicle. Her insurance was suppose to take care of the damages. I called Chrysler Capital asked them to go get my car cause it was the end of October her Insurance company said sign a release and they would get it out, Never Did. End October I called Chrysler Capital told them to go get my car please before the impound Auction it off. They went a got it I was on her insurance to let me no if they were paying for Damages or if its Totalled Pay it off they stated they were on it. I was calling Chrsler many times letting them no the insurance status. From Nov.8 2020 yil Dec.8 2020 I was hospitalized due to Covid. Im calling her Insurance all the time like clockwork they are plsying me stalling time talked to Chrysler noone called talkedto me about nothing. Here it is middled December I called Chrysler capital cause the insurance said they are ready to pay it off. The customer Rep at Chrysler Capital tell me its nolonger my car when they pay it off I get nothing. For 3 years not a payment missed Noone had the Decency to call me wtite me I talked several times on the phone I had til Nov.23 2020 to get my car out or I would lose it Ivwas in the Hospital, I didnot put all my money in this car to lose it a accident that was not my fault and Chrysler capital call me about Everything else so I think Progressive Prolonged all that time on purpose and Chrysler Capital talking to them should have got in contact with me about there Deadline I would have acted Fast. Auto loan
On 11/19/2020, Bank of America sent a payoff check to Chrysler Capital. They signed for it on 11/20/2020. Bank of America and I have been calling them every few days since 11/20/2020 asking them to apply the check and release my title. They told us again and again that they could not locate it, but to just give them until 12/11/2020 to find it and post it. If they could not find it by then, BOA could put a stop payment on the check and send a new one. They assured both of us that the payment, when found, would be posted with the 11/20/2020 received date and that my account would not be marked as late or reported as late. Now, today, they still have not located the check and they absolutely have reported my account as being late. This is a big deal to me as I have never had a late payment in my life. They have also advised that they will not release my title until I pay them another month's interest. This, of course, was their plan all along. They set out to collect as much interest as possible. Side note...I bought two vehicles at the same time. The payment that BOA sent for my other vehicle posted immediately and I have already received the title. They are just upset that I refinanced these loans, but that is on them, too. I have an 820 FICO score and they wrote these loans at 6% and BOA is charging me less than 2% which is absolutely more in line with my credit worthiness. I have tried for almost a month to resolve this issue; no one there wants to do the right thing so I will never do business with them again.
Unapproved changes to my account led to nonpayment
After having auto-pay enabled for our entire 3-year lease term and every payment successfully submitted, Chrysler Capital disabled my account's auto-pay for just the last payment of my lease term and never notified me of this change to my account. This resulted in my last payment being classified as delinquent. I received no additional communication that i had a delinquent payment other than my regular monthly statement. No attempt was made to call me or communicate with me other than a standard account statement. They then sent a delinquent payment alert to my credit score. Attempting to resolve now, they are refusing to withdraw the credit alert even though i immediately paid my balance when i learned of this (and even though my account said no balance due?!?!).

Turned in 2 lease vehicles on 12/12/2019, as of 03/04/2020 Chrysler Capital still shows I have these vehicles and my account is mark PAST DUE! Also, Chrysler Capital owes me a refund on each vehicle, which every time I call to check status I am told it will take about 60 days. It has been 83 days!
Also, each time I call the agent needs to put me on hold for 5-10 minute so that they can research just to come back and say it will take about 60 days.
I believe Chrysler Capital plays these games so that customer quit calling & they get to keep the refunds that are OWED to their customer!
Very shade way to do business. Dodge/Chrysler are my preferred choice, however I will rethink before I lease with Chrysler again.

I thought Sprint was the worst when it comes to customer service...I stand corrected. Chrysler Capital took two payments from our account for one month and caused my account to overdraft. When I called over a week ago to get this issue resolved they asked for a bank statement to prove the money has come out of the account. What kind of [censored] is this? Let me get this right, you take money from my account after I cancelled the auto pay and now you need my bank statement to prove the money was taken. Get the [censored] out here with that [censored]. I will never do business with them again. [censored] Chrysler Capital!
lost my payoff check, terrible customer service
I purchased a car. The dealership sent a payoff check to Chrysler Capital for over 33K to payoff my trade. That was six weeks ago, yet (to preserve my good credit) I am still continuing to pay for both vehicles because Chrysler Capital cant find my payoff check. Even though the dealership has sent proof of the check, including the name of the person at Chrysler Capital who signed for the check! All I want is for someone to trace the whereabouts of this check, start at the beginning when it was signed for and try to track it. Anyone, and I mean anyone at Chrysler Capital who has taken my call will not help me at all, they wont even try! What an awful situation to be in. Sitting in limbo watching my bank account be drained to pay for a car that I no longer own and no one is doing anything to help. Literally no one!

They are crooks! I made a payment, the payment never came out of the account so they charged me a 30.00 fee because they said my account number was incorrect. That's a lie because it's the same account I pay it from always. I asked that the fee be waved and they said no. That's not good business at all. I'm refinancing my car and I'm never going to do business with them again and you shouldn't either!

After receiving 6 phone calls from Chrsyler Capital's collection department, I was finally able to answer the next phone call wherein I spoke with Chrysler Capital representative Toshiko, who made demand for past due payment of just under $400. While on the phone I logged into my bank account to confirm that my monthly payments of $365 were still being made (note, I leased the vehicle 15 months ago and have been making payments on the 1st of every month, including the current month). After 35 minutes of Toshiko looking into my account, with no answers or breakdown of the past due amount, I obtained my original copy of the lease agreement I signed 15 months ago, which states the monthly amount is $365.00. I then requested to talk to a manager. After 30 more minutes, the manager told me because I had moved 14 months ago that my monthly payment had increased $3.00 and the other $350+ past due were late fees, that she was unable to waive, all while telling me that had never sent me any written or verbal communication as to the change in payment. How can you pay something you dont know is due? They clearly have my phone number. And the fact a manager would tell me after 5 collection phone calls and a 59 minute phone call today that I am expected to pay a late fee is ludicrous. Don't do business with Chrysler Capital if you can avoid it!

I was involved in a head on accident August 11, 2019 in which my car had been totaled. I have been without a car since. I am a 60 yr old woman who has to work to survive and have worked through pain and discomfort from the injuries as a result of this accident. I can not finance a vehicle until Chrysler Capitol sends me a letter stating my vehicle has been paid off. I have gotten the run around. They have received the check from Geico which was issued Nov 08 2019. It is the 21st now and still no payoff letter sent. I have suffered enough from the accident and this wait time is unnecessary. Horrible organization, their contracts are written in a predatory way and in coordination with the dealerships that work with them they scam people to get into 3 year leases telling you that you can break the lease for a penalty of "a few thousand dollars" when in reality you are locked into crazy liability of potentially the entire value of the vehicle. This is a terrible company and if I could give it 0 stars, I would. If you like to sit on hold forever, deal with disinterested customer service people who could care less about you or your issue, and enjoy dealing with a company that operates with zero sense of ethics, then Chrysler Capital (it's really Ally Financial in disguise) is the company for you.
I turned a lease vehicle in 7 months early and replaced with another vehicle leased through Chrysler Capital. I was nowhere near the end of my mileage, but started receiving offers in the mail from dealers to turn the car in early, so I did. The dealer agreed to cover my remaining lease payments as part of the deal.
Then Chrysler Capital sent me a bill for $5, 100 in the mail, claiming that because the car was turned in early, I owed them the difference between the residual value of the lease, and what they actually received for it at auction. Apparently, had I waited and given them a car that was 7 months older with more miles on it, it wouldn't be my fault that they calculated the residual value wrong and took a loss at auction.
Going through the dispute resolution process was a nightmare of epic proportions. When you call there, you are put on hold for literally 10-20 minutes at a time, each time you get escalated, while someone "reviews the notes" of your case. While you're on hold, you are subjected to a jazzy little tune that is literally 5-10 seconds long, then repeats, over and over and over again. Regardless of who you deal with, the best you're ever going to get is treated like a meaningless number to them. They will recite contract language and even get a nasty attitude with you, basically telling you that they don't care what you do, or whether you ever do business with them again.
We have another lease vehicle leased through our local credit union and the experience couldn't be any more different. I highly recommend that you avoid Chrysler Capital and Ally Financial at all costs and choose your own bank or a local credit union that will treat you like you matter, and not pull shady moves trying to transfer the cost of their mistakes onto you.
As a matter of fact, I'm sitting on hold with them right now - 27 minutes in - and I'm using the time to share this experience with as many people as I can.
