GAP insurance refund
My vehicle was paid off Aug 20th 21 refinanced the dealer sent my check Sept 10th 21 contacted Chrysler capital because I've already received an overpayment refund so they know I don't owe any money to them but said they received the check but might take them 30 days to send to me why I ask I'm paid in full to you shouldn't take this long to get
Desired outcome: My money sent asap
Auto loan
I went to Anderson Chrysler in Lake Havasu City Arizona in October of 2017 to purchase a vehicle. Knowing I was a single mom of 5 and a server they put me in a loan with Chrysler Capital with 24 percent interest. I also purchased the gap insurance and when I totaled my car in February this year the gap insurance did not cover the remaining amount. They are still saying I owe over 11, 000 for a car that was sold for only 12, 000. This is ruining my credit and making it hard on me as a single mom to support my kids. That high of an interest rate is illegal and this loan should be wiped away.
Desired outcome: The loan forgiven and fixed on my credit
Lease-
I leased a 2015 Dodge Ram from Chrysler Capital. I called to confirm in November of 2018 that I could trade the lease in so long as we were under mileage and it was for the same product and both Chrysler and the Dodge dealer confirmed the same that I could. So, we bought a 2019 Dodge Ram which we also leased the same. The 2015 Ram was traded with no damage and 10K under the mileage limit. We have since paid the 2019 Ram off early (not due until October) and there was no penalty to pay it off early either as we decided to keep it. So we issue the check for the 2019 and we are still waiting for the title on it because they sent it to the wrong place. Neither here nor there because that is not the issue at hand. My issue is that we are buying a home and were asked about this 2nd truck (2015 Ram). To my knowledge that had been settled and our records show that Chrysler received several payments to pay off that truck. Low and behold that was not the case. Now, we have been given 4 different amounts that we supposedly owe them for the 2015 Ram and we are being told its for "dents and dings". There were no letters, no photos submitted, no phone calls. They have informed us they have no photos of these "damages" but want us to pay. Not only can they not provide proof, the amount changes each time you call. Also, to their own admission there were never any phone calls made in regards to this account and its been 3 years. We did not agree to this nor have any knowledge of the same. I am certain that if I had known this is how Chrysler does business I would not have issued a 32K check to payoff the 2019 RAM. This is not how you treat customers of over 15 years with 5 different dodge products. Its just not a good look nor good business. Also, I have attached a copy of the payments sent to Chrysler Capital in regards to this. Please note the $395.00 early termination fee which was paid then waived (as you can see its in parentheses) because we did another lease with them. You will see they received over 26K for the 2015 RAM. I fail to see where the additional funds are warranted or where they are customary with no proof. As such, we are requesting they remove the request and clear this from my credit immediately.
Refund of interest
I paid off my loan on 6/18/2021. The amount I sent was quoted to me as the pay off balance but there was more interest accrued than needed by the date it was paid off. The over payment was $71.36.
I called 6/29 and was told the refund would be issued.
On 7/22 I sent a message on the website that the refund never arrived.
I called on 7/27 was told the refund was sent on 7/13. Suggested I wait more time for it to arrive.
I called on 7/30 informed them that the check still hasn't arrived and they said they would then order it to be reissued.
I called on 8/20. I was told it was re-issued to wait again.
I called on 8/24. I was told a request for the re-issue was never made and it was actually never reissued in August. that a request to reissue would be done and I would receive a follow up call the next week.
As of today, 9/7 I never received a call and I never received a check.
I called on 9/7 and asked to speak to a supervisor. I spoke to Jake #01173. Confirmed a request for reissue was done on 8/24 but it was sent to Accounts Payable to clearance that the original check has never cleared. As of 9/3 Accounts Payable hasn't responded so the reissued check has not been done.
Jake also explained that once the check is reissued, he has been told that it takes 30 to 35 days for the customers to receive it in the mail. (October?)
He is asking the Executive office to reach out to me in 3 to 5 business days concerning the refund status.
Isn't this just nuts!
Desired outcome: Send me the refund!
Received my refund today. The check was dated 7/13/21 (the original refund date) However, the postage was dated 9/1/21. The check was held until 9/1 so all those calls that it went out and is taking 30 to 35 days for the post office to deliver was all a scam. I am filing a complaint with the Federal Reserve for their investigation of Chrysler Capital Financial and their practices.
I was just reading all the complaints. The complaints I was really interested in was the payoff of a vehicle and how soon the overpayment (my money) would be returned to me. Since the overpayment I made was over a thousand dollars (Chrysler is my only creditor that wont allow cancelling a payment) I am more concerned now that Chrysler will invent a way not to repay their debt. I received an offer from Carmax for my vehicle that would result in several thousand dollars coming back to me. I was about to accept the offer so I could buy a new 2021/2022 Ram 1500 but after seeing all the complaints I think I'll see if there's a better way to go, like a Credit Union. Although I've never had a problem with Chrysler, you are not allowed to cancel a scheduled payment, I strongly urge consumers to contact their own banks or Credit Unions. Credit Unions are more flexible than you may think. You DO NOT have to accept Chryslers Terms and they should be the last to consider. I know I'm done
Credit company linked to Chrysler
First Bankcard was paid off by me with one payment, reason they are scammers and don't hold their promise. After two months of paying off they send me a statement saying my account has been paid of and the account has been closed, second month I've received a statement saying $25.00 PMT DISHONORED FEE, Does anybody knows what is that? I am puzzled, the amount is not big enough to start a "Law Suit" but if these scammers send out few million statements like mine, it will generate many Millions for them.
Desired outcome: If it is a scamm I want to sue them for $1,000,000.00 which all of it goes to charity funds to defend the people who don't have enough funds for their defence.
Loan
This is what I sent to Shawn Allgood CEO of Chrysler Capital.
I initiated a loan with Chrysler Capital when I purchased a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 in December 2017 (Account Number: [protected]). My first payment was on Jan 18 2018. I have made 42 consecutive payments in the past 3 1/2 years with out any problems. In June I opened a high interest savings account at Marcus Goldman Sachs and wanted to use that account to process future Chrysler Capital auto payments. I signed into my account and changed the routing number and account number to reflect the new Marcus Goldman Sachs account info. There was nothing on the screen to indicate that I could not change the account number nor was there a warning that I must first disable autopay to change the routing and account number.
I received a notice from Capital One on July 20 that I was overdrawn because your system continued to debit the old account - despite the fact that when I signed in it was showing the new Marcus Goldman Sachs account information. When I spoke to a representative at Chrysler Capital I was informed that I can not change the account information without first disabling autopay - which I was told I could not do that I had to call in to request that. Again no where on the screen in your system does it state this. This is 2021! I can change my social security, and retirement fund and VA benefits direct deposit when ever I want without any intervention by a representative.
So I immediately made a manual payment - through the Marcus account which posted on July 24. I was told that I would have to make another manual payment before autopay would kick in and also that a second debit to the old Capital One account would occur because they (the rep) could not stop it.
I then received a call from a senior manger - sorry I do not have her name - sometime in late July apologizing for all the problems and assuring me that she would fix everything and that I would not have to make a manual payment.
So on August 18 the day the payment was due) I logged into my account to see if that was going to happen. It appeared that it would not so I called customer service and was told that yes I am on autopay and that it will happen. It did not. I am now being told that I have to make 6 consecutive through a debit card or a payment company before I can re-enable auto pay. That is outrageous. I can no longer make manual payments through Chrysler Capital either!
I have spoken to at the very least half a dozen customer service reps. Not all were rude but some were most definitely were.
I am trying to make a payment and they will not permit me to make a payment within their system.
I asked that a senior manager contact me asap (518) 863-XXXX to resolve this to my satisfaction other wise I will be forced to contact the New York State Attorney General, the FTC, and the Financial Protection Bureau. I have sent an email to various people at FCA and to Shawn Allgood CEO of Chrysler Capital.
Lets see where it gets me.
Desired outcome: reinstate auto pay so I can make a payment through their system
Never refunded for overpayment
I Traded in a lease April 2021, I did not turn off my auto payment and Chrysler capital deducted a payment from my account after the vehicle was paid off by the dealership. I Have been in contact with Chrysler capital since May and still have not received any refund on the overpayment. Every single time I speak with someone I am told it is processing to then being told it was mailed out 2 months ago. It has been 4 months now and still no refund
Desired outcome: Refunded
Titles department
After attempting to work with the title department since May 2021 they still have not resolve this problem despite attempts by both DMV and myself to get my husband name taken off the title since he passed away. After multiple attempts and two drives to DMV one of which is one hour away. I still have no car to drive, having to make payments on the car and insurance payments on car. I would give this company a negative 1 star rating and advise friends and family never to use this company to buy a car.
Desired outcome: Fiqure out how to do your job
Simple interest loan / negative residual income / unethical behavior
Chrysler Capital is the same as Santander. Santander has an open 34 state class action suit because the consumer was placed in loan practices. The dealership that I brought my car from uses an internal scoring to qualify consumers for loans the dealership knows the consumers can't afford. These simple interest loans on overpriced vehicles are what's causing consumers to lose their vehicles and damage their credit. What's worst is that Chrysler credit is fully aware of the practices that go on and has made attempts to resolve the issues. I've informed them that I learned of the class action suit through other compliant websites, I've spoken to the attorney handling the cases but unfortunately, my state isn't listed among the 34 states. Although my state isn't listed among the 34 states, I would like to take advantage of the opportunity to get out of this outrageous simple interest loan. As offered to consumers in the lawsuit. I urge Chrysler Credit to issue a deficiency waiver, a modification of terms, and or loan forgiveness due to intentionally misleading consumers and getting them into contracts that they knowingly can't afford. I want out and never want to do business with them again. I truly feel taken advantage of.
Desired outcome: Modification of contract, Loan forgiveness
Auto financing
This bank is the worst bank I've ever used and my husband and I have used a lot of banks we own a business. I used this bank for 3 months before trading the vehicle in because I was scared my credit would be ruined due to how hard it was to make a payment. All 3 months I had to call in after paying to redo my payment and than I traded the vehicle in and was still marked delinquent for a late payment after telling them 2 times I no longer had the vehicle! Worst bank ever.
Desired outcome: Nothing
Lied to me about balance due
I returned my leased vehicle in October 2019 and never heard anything since from Chrysler Capital. I had assumed everything was taken care of since they stopped reporting a balance on my credit. This past April I was refinancing my home when we called CCAP to find out why my credit doesn't show account closed. The woman we spoke to said I owed "No unpaid balances" and she wasn't sure why the account was still listed as open as the car has since been sold and completely paid off. She said she would request that my credit file be updated. I called again today (July 20, 2021) and again asked why my credit report STILL shows this account is open but hasn't been updated since 2019. This time I was told because I still have a balance of $750! He said I should've received a letter in January of 2020 letting me know about this balance. I received NO letter, NO phone calls, NO collection notices... NOTHING! I also referenced my phone call in April 2021 where I was told that I didn't have a balance due. My mortgage company was also on that call and was a witness to her saying this! We were assured there was no balance and now I'm being told I owe $750? How was that not available to the person I spoke to in April? Why has nobody reached out to me about a balance owed for over a YEAR?
Desired outcome: Chrysler Capital should close my accounts on all 3 credit bureaus as paid IN FULL and eat the $750 since this is an error on their part!
Customer service
We have had an unexpected medical emergency this month which seriously crippled our budget. We called chrysler capital customer service to see if we could make arrangements to defer this month's payment so that we can make ends meet this month. We have never not paid a bill. We literally have a 100% payments made record on our credit report and thankfully have not been in this situation before. We assumed it was the responsible thing to do to call them and make arrangements for this month. We were on the phone over an hour and sent from rude representative to rude representative, one of which literally could barely speak english and was completely impossible to understand (I have a feeling this is a tactic of certain "customer service" departments! The long and short of it is that one of them told us to just "call back when it's late" because "for sale we know, we'll come up with the money". What? In other words - don't try to be responsible and make arrangements... Just let your excellent credit take a hit! We were then transferred to a supposed "manager" at our request because the "customer service" was just laughable at best. This guy acted like we were a serious inconvenience to his day. I have never been treated so rudely. Left us on hold for 15 minutes and came back and said sorry! Call back tomorrow! And we were disconnected. All this as I sit here sick and unable to devote another hour to these idiots. I am beyond disbelief that this passes as customer service anymore. I am literally going to call my congressman to get involved since apparently chrysler advertises help in emergency but their advice is to just let your credit take a hit instead. I'm not letting this one go.
Desired outcome: Speak to someone in Executive Management
Chrysler capital NIT ACCEPTING payment in full and honoring date it was sent/pulled thru dealer track
I purchased another vehicle in May and traded in a 2017 jeep compass financed thru Chrysler Capital. Bayway paid off in full plus extra for it June 7th. Bayway has since sent proof that they received it June 7th. They deny it and state wasn't received and or accountes for until June 15th. So they added a late fee and over $167.00 in interest to eat up any monies that were sent. In reality I should have gotten back about $160.00 after it was all said and done. Bayway faced over atleast 7 times proof of when Chrysler Capital pulled and received monies. They denied it was received for 2 weeks. Finally they got the fax. Now they have proof. Was told give it another 48 hours. I did. I called executive office again and again had to go over all this again with different rep and all he said was they looked at it and no refund to me. SO IT STILL ISNT PROCESSED as when it was received. Now i have to wait for another phone call back from Denise as she's the one who originally was looking at it. Seriously? You received payoff in full plus surplus that should be refunded to me between 150.00 and 160.00. I will file a complaint with anyone and everyone I can. You have treated me so wrong in this. I just want it taken care of properly and legally. WORST COMPANY EVER.
And on top of this if you want to go further I had a previous vehicle financed thru Santander. I had Gap. My car was completely totalled due to hurricane Harvey. Lost everything. Everything. Santander sent to credit bureau THAT THEY REPOSSESSED MY VEHICLE. A blatant lie. It was totalled by insurance company years ago. WAS NEVER REPOED. WHAT A CORRUPT COMPANY...
Desired outcome: I want my refund of interest back. Around 167.00. Keep the late fee. And take off my credit that vehicle was repossessed.
Getting the title for a vehicle paid 2 years ago and 32 phone calls ago
I bought my car out of its lease in August of 2019 and paid for the vehicle in full. i have been trying to obtain the title from Chyrsler capital for almost 2 years. I have been lied to repeatedly i have had to call 32 times and i am getting physically ill over this . This company should be fined shut down and prohibited from stealing from other people
Desired outcome: I want my title and $ 25,000 for damages
You lack a lot of communication
I made two car payments in one month so I could get ahead. WITHOUT ANY sort of communication they felt the need to not tell me paying more than once doesn't go towards your next monthly payment. Alas, I sit here with a broken bank account because no one human being has any common courtesy these days. I really hope you know what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck and having to choose a machine over food to eat for the next two weeks.
Desired outcome: Obviously nothing, why would corporate America offer any help?
Victory dodge ottawa Kansas
Bought a 2014 durango. The day off the touch screen would not come on. The salesman witnessed this and recommended the shop.Several trips to the shop they kept telling me they were waiting on a certain update until my warranty expired then it became a "short" and radio needed replaced. I declined because they obviously had been lying to me the whole time.
Also, air conditioner stopped working took it to victory they said compressor needed replaced at cost of $1600.00 I took it to a local shop and they diagnosed saddle valve cost me only $100.
Desired outcome: I still need touch screen radio replaced.
Refusing to allocate payments & stealing money
I have been trying to get Chrysler Capital to properly allocate my payments to my account for months. They refused to apply property tax payments I made to actual property tax and then ignored other payments saying I owe money, but charged my bank account. They keep sending the issue to "the accounting department" and do not resolve the issue even with me calling over 8 times. Each time there is no resolution and get no help. At this point they have stolen a payment from me because even though they took it and charged my account, refuse to allocate it.

Financing for 2015 jeep
I purchased this vehicle in 2016. It was presented an new, although it was a day loan service car. That was OK with me - even though the F&I guy only told me when I was driving off the lot. This is a fixed loan with the financed amount divided by 76 (mos) to determine the monthly payment. $423 x76 =$32, 148. They have already repod the car once, I I redeemed it after paying all the fees. I had to obtain a "cease & desist" against them calling me EVERY day - even when current. I have repeatedly requested a FULL (from day 1) itemized statement, but have been ignored. Charges ($125) have shown up without explanation. Their representative could not explain them, and stated it would be removed "immediately" - never was. Today 5-21-2021; I received a (regular mail) letter, stating I was in default for being behind 2 payments, and if I did not make those payments by May 27th - They would reposess. This is absurd, that is less than a week away. I am on social security & cannot pay almost $1, 000 for which they refuse to give me an accounting. Would appreciate any help. Mel Nielsen
Title release
I have completed and paid off my loan in full. Waited for the title to be released to us but it never came. Called and was told it was mailed to the wrong address and state. Was informed they would resend to us at the correct address in 10 days but it never arrived. Called today and was told that they could no longer help us, it was up to us to get a title through a third party.
