Cirque du Soleil Gift Cards

Regardless of what you think of Cirque du Soleil, the Gift Cards make extremely poor gifts.
Evidently the gift cards are not issued nor redeemable directly by Cirque du Soleil (see link below) and are worth considerably less than face value. I found great seats available for less than the gift card value, then discovered the gift card could NOT be used to purchase them. For the same performance, the gift card website only showed seats available three sections back and would not even show what seats we would be getting. Big fail.
I just hope the person who gave me the gift card received at least a 50% discount or it was a complete ripoff.

Purchased two $100 gift cards at Costco for $80. Also found that you cannot redeem gift cards on cirquedusoleil.com. You must redeem these gift cards at cirquedusoleilgift.com and they find best available seats for you...you are unable to choose. ALSO, we received a promotional offer thru mail for $15 off select tickets which is only available thru the main cirquedusoleil.com site...where you cannot use the gift cards. Paid $192 for 3 cirque tix (best available) and $160 at Costco for $200 worth of gift cards...saved $32 in the long run...actually minus $8 b/c total wasn't $200...not worth it. If I would have known, would never have purchased gift cards.

I received two Cirque du Soleil gift cards for Christmas from my son. When I attempted to redeem them for tickets to Totem appearing in San Jose, CA this March I was unable to locate any performances of Totem at the redemption website. I called the redemption websites "customer service" department and all the representative would say is she could not locate performances for Totem on her computer system and simply left it at that. I then tried sending an email to their "customer service" department asking why Totem failed to appear on their computer system for gift card redemption's and, of course, after a week and a half still have yet to receive a response. In my opinion this is pretty close to qualifying as a scam as it was never disclosed to my son at time of purchase that the shows and performances for which the gift cards are redeemable are limited.

Cirque du Soleil not honoring gift cards

I bought gift cards from Cirquedusoleil.com for my son and daughter-in-law's birthday so that they could see La Nouba in Orlando. I had been told on the phone they would accept gift cards for tickets. I made reservations and told them I had gift cards to use, they said okay. When my son and daughter-in-law showed up to pick up their tickets, they was told they do not honor Cirque du Soleil gift cards. They were not allowed in. Basically, I spent $150 on gift cards that are useless. DO NOT BUY any gift cards from Cirque du Soleil, regardless of what they may tell you on the phone. Once you show up, they won't honor them.

Actually, Cirque du Soleil did refund the money for the gift cards I ordered, after I spent a great deal of time complaining to Disney about it. So, I am now satisfied with the outcome. However, I've learned that buying gift cards to be used for tickets is just generally a BAD idea. Probably much better just calling the box office and getting tickets that way.

COMPLAINT REVIEW - Cirque Du Soleil ' Racially Profiles ' and ' Prejudicially Stalks' their Customers whom attend their Global Touring Site Shows - by Cirque Du Soleil staff ' Abusing ' their CCTV Monitoring and Security INcompetent & INexperienced Staff ' Unprofessional Abuse of Power' Concierge process.

1. During ' Luzia ' global tour, I Witness and I was Denied to an Available Ticket to a Cirque Du Soleil show while I was present at a local Cirque Du Soleil site.

Directly Due to Cirque Du Soleil ' Senior Executive Management' Directing and Instructing their Local Show ' Management and Security Staff ' to Personally Prejudicially Stalk their Customers and Racially Profile which I personally Witnessed while I was attending a Show. Additionally, I had Previously complained about the Severe Incompetence and Lack of Leadership and Lack of Suitability in their respective roles of the following personnel. The following CIrque Du Soleil senior executives Hide behind their Titles which is typical of what people do whom deliberately avoid accountability and responsibility. ' Incompetence and Corruption ' Always pair go hand-in-hand in Any Public and Private organization with particular reference to the following personnel at Cirque Du Soleil whom Clearly and Obviously are Not the Right people in their Respective roles.

Based on their instruction to local touring site staff ' Behaviour and Conduct ' towards me ' behind the scenes ' towards Unaware Loyal Customers whom attend their shows. The following personnel bring ' Cirque Du Soileil' and ' Quebec' and ' Canada' into Disrepute and Shame due to how they Treat their Customers (as Displayed by their Local Touring Show ' Concierge staff' and ' Security staff ' and most probably how they treat many other Loyal Customers. Whom will Discontinue to be Customers of ' Cirque Du Soleil' and ' Quebec' and ' Canada' no more.

2. The above personnel Inappropriately and Clearly displayed by trying to shift/deflect Blame by Not Exercising Any ' Leadership/Responsibility/Accountability' Attributes for their Respective roles.

The Above personnel also lacked the Competence and lacked the Ability to Solve Problems in a Prompt timely manner when was initially raised with them on numerous multiple occasions. The above personnel Did and should Never Blame Customers for their ' Repeated internal Communication' issues within the Cirque Du Soleil company which has been occurring over Many Years. Above personnel also ' Insulted my Intelligence' with Offensive comments Towards myself by Deliberately Trying to Deflect Blame towards the Customers as the Cause ... when these Issues were Never Mine nor Any Customers' Fault at all.

The above personnel also make ' Excuses ' only which is Not Good Enough that clearly Displays their very specific severe Lack of Leadership within their Respective roles. They also Deliberately ' Delay and Avoid ' as much as possible in Responding to Customers communication as long as possible and make it deliberately as Hard as Possible ... again to Deliberately Avoid all Accountability and Responsibility of the ' Cirque Du Soleoil ' company's Conduct and Directions to their Local Show Staff on how to Disrespectfully Behave towards their "Cirque Du Soleil" Customers.

3. During a Recent Show ' Luzia ' which is currently touring Globally ...

I could Identify All the Security Staff in Uniform, All the Security Staff Under Cover Not in Uniform and All the Security Cameras which were All positioned to Directly Violate Any Customers 'privacy '.

4. I had previously never done any Wrong doing. However based on my Global Security ' 34 years ' background experience And expertise, I could Very Easily Identify ' All the Concierge staff ' and ' All the Security staff' were being Directed via their ' Ear Piece' communication. Also, on How they All were Starring At me ' At the Same time' which was way too Coincidental and definitely Not Subtle.

All the Cirque Du Soleil ' Security and Concierge Staff need Severely Much More Training on how to do their job ' Discretely and Professionally ' because their Behaviour and Conduct was way too Unprofessional and Not Discrete to Customers's awareness.

5. There is Clearly an Abuse of Customers Privacy by Cirque Du Soleil as well as blatant ' Discrimination and Retaliation' from Cirque Du Soleil as Collective which was Clearly Displayed by the Local Touring Site Show Management. Specifically against Customers whom previously make ' Legitimate and Constructive ' complaints and recommendations to Cirque Du Soleil headquarters in Montreal.

6. It is very Clear and Evident that ' Cirque Du Soleil' are Deliberately Invading All Customers Privacy that attend their Touring Local Site Shows.

This was Very Clearly evident by what the ' Concierge staff ' and ' Security staff ' had made specific verbal comments towards me personally.

7. Global recommendation will be to ' Avoid and Boycott ' Any and All Cirque Du Soleil shows. Because ' Cirque Du Soleil' as a Collective do Not ' Walk the Talk ' by treating their Customers in manner that is ' Prejudical Stalking ' and ' Racial Profiling ' which seems very clearly Evident as part of their ' Internal Culture ' globally.

8. Thank you for taking the Time and Effort to read this Global Warning to all ' Cirque Du Soleil ' customers Globally.

Be very Aware and Careful as someone is always specifically Watching you ' Inappropriately ' and ' Violating your Privacy ' via the Cirque Du Soleil local touring Site shows Misuse and Malpractice of their CCTV and Security practices. At the end of the day, the One and Only Priority that Cirque Du Soleil care about is to ' Take your Money ' which can Never be Refunded / Exchanged as well as blatantly Rip-Off all Customers by charging up to ' $ 20 ' (twenty australian dollars) for any ' single ' food or drink item. Also Any Customer can also be asked to leave any Cirque Du Soleil touring show Site for doing ' nothing wrong ' and Cirque Du Soleil do Not have to give you Any reason at all.

Shame on You ' Cirque Du Soleil ' being both Racist and Prejudicial. All Customers will eventually Vote with their Feet and Stop to attend Any Show because Cirque Du Soleil as a Collective can Not Get Better and Not Improve because of their ' Severely Arrogant ' internal company Toxic Culture.

I purchased an egift card as a gift 2 days ago and still waiting.. why would an egift card take so long? Im beyond disappointed. Also the customer.service is horrible. Im still waiting and if I dont receive in the next day I will be filing a lawsuit. This is the worst customer sercice ever! Perla

My parents bought me a Cirque Du Soleil gift card for $200 but the truth is they are worth far less. I went to the regular cirque website where I found a deal for 20% off. Cirque Gift cards will not honor the 20% even though its on their website. They mark their tickets up so much that it is not even worth using the gift card for. I will instead be purchasing my tickets with out the gift card. They offer me the cheapest tickets in the nose bleeds for $263 total...or I found far better seats for $85 a person $170 a person. The manager Miranda is so rude. She constantly inter upped me but if I ever inter upped her she threatened to hang up on me. I asked if there are any shows that I could see that would not cost me more than my gift card she laughed and said no. I asked if she could refund my father. She said no. My father bought an online gift card and I asked if there is anyway that I could be sent the actual gift card instead of the online one and she once again refused. They don't want to help or work with anyone. They are only looking to charge you way more than the tickets are worth.

NEVER BUY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL GIFT CARDS!
First off they are not redeemable for your online regular ticket purchase...they assign you a seat when you redeem them online. The seats are the worst in the house if you arent paying for premium and again, they can't be used when you choose your seats. AND you get charged more for each ticket (there is a $15 convenience fee per ticket!).
For a $200.00 ticket, you'll lose money vs. just buying the ticket via their website, so again, does NOT make a good present.
